1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2023, 09:03:44 PM
I see the news reporting that Monty Williams is selling his Scottsdale home now that he's been fired as the Phoenix Suns head coach.  I think he's the single reason that DeAndre Ayton has underperformed in the NBA.  With him gone now, that opens the door up to keep Ayton and develop him into the player he should become, but who knows what sort of bad blood there is between him and the organization or if the firing of Monty Williams was enough to get Ayton back on board.  I still think the Suns dump Ayton for a more experienced player that can help them win now, but if I were in charge I certainly wouldn't do that.

I thought ayton might be more of a force but I don't know.  He might just carve out a nice 15 year career who is always above average but just not "the guy" on the team.  Granted on that squad there is no room to be that guy.  He would be a nice addition to any team guess we'll see if it was coaching or not.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing Altcoin (ATC), Ethereum's alternative to Bitcoin on: June 23, 2023, 07:17:25 PM
I mean just because something has the same skematics as bitcoin doesn't make it bitcoin lol.  I can clone bitcoin in a couple steps and call it whatever I want.  I mean I wish you luck if you have good intentions but calling something altcoin to me sounds a bit on the edge of not putting too much effort into the very minimal things involved.  Just a hunch though
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2023, 07:01:07 PM
I think Charlotte screwd that one up last night.  Miller is a decent player but scoot might end being a franchise changing player.  Him and Shaedon sharp are gonna be fun to watch over the years.  This has the flavor of a jordan pick all day long.  Maybe I'm wrong but that was surprising to me.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 09:36:37 PM

Yeah, they'll get to it eventually.
The important thing that they need to do for now is to get him and then do the rest next when he's with them. Everything is gonna be taken care of by the management and it's all planned and they've got programs for him already. We're all optimistic that he's gonna be built by the team and there are a lot more plans for him.

All eyes are on Victor Wembanyama in the next season and could be gotten by the San Antonio Spurs, right now the San Antonio Spurs really need to up their Roster and Wembanyama is a great addition to the Spurs and There is a reason why the Spurs are lucky enough in getting him a 7-foot-4 Kevin Durant on offense and a mixture of Rudy Gobert defensively so getting Wembanyama in full shape and muscle should get him fit to be like Durant and Gobert powerhouse,

Chris Paul going to the Warriors as a backup for Steph Curry? I didn’t expect that. I guess CP3 thought that was his best chance at a ring. This to me means that Jordan Poole is done in Golden State. Crazy because I thought he would be next up, especially with Draymond rumored to be leaving the team this offseason. First surprise of the offseason…

Edit: Looks like Poole was in the trade. Checks out…

This is the craziest deal that I see, I don't really want to underestimate Chris Paul but the injury-prone CP3, but a likely good trade Jordan Poole and Draymond Green chemistry are likely to Crumble away so a good trade will be Jordan Poole to the other team but I am very negative about the Chris Paul trade if this is real, for me CP3 is not consistent but Consistent in getting injured, sorry Chris Paul fans but I am frustrated about this,

I'd ease up on the Kevin Durant on offense and gobert on defense comparisons.  I get it the kid looks good but let him play a couple months in the NBA before we compare him to one of the best offensive players in the world and a desire player of the year type of guy all in one lol.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trump Coin ($dtc) is starting to move. on: June 22, 2023, 08:59:57 PM
The statement "this coin has huge potential", you can't be serious are you.  They literally took advantage of a movement and just used his name to garner attention.  This is just another scam or at a bare minimum just another cash grab.  Why in the world would people put money into something like this when you have bitcoin sitting right in front of you.  Stupid people do stupid things.

Honestly that was the last place I though he would land as well.  Can't wait until free agency opens up and teams start taking shape.  Definitely a weird landing spot but I guess they both can give each other breathers throughout the season.  But wow cp3 setting up steph.  This could be some fun basketball to watch.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 08:16:59 PM
As a morally upright person that does not like to cheat people, but gambles and has lost a lot of money to gambling in a casino where you have sometimes been cheated even without your knowledge or betting on sports, will you take an opportunity you get and go against your moral standards to cheat a casino or sportsbetting place, just so you can win big at least even once.

Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?

Honestly I would probably stay away from the game myself.  Yeah probably a good opportunity but I'm sure tons of people have been told about "fixed" games and have lost because of bad Intel.  And on the other side of it, if you were ever tied to it somehow in terms of getting information there could be repercussions as well.  All in all I'm out on something like that.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 09:43:13 PM
Well, what can I say, I'm just glad that this kid, Victor Wembanyama, has fallen into coach Pop's hands and not the other teams. Don't take it wrong, it's not meant to underestimate them but knowing how experienced coach Pop is, this kid will surely learn a lot from him especially now that he will start his rookie season when the next season will commence and we know how important this season is to the newly drafted players.

There are rumors that the Spurs want to offer Coach Pop a contract for three more seasons. Honestly, I was surprised to hear that since Pop is 74 years old. As for Victor Wembanyama, I agree that he's definitely lucky to have Pop as his first NBA coach. However, I have some doubts about Victor. He's certainly a talented kid and has a lot of potential, but he only weighs 230 pounds and looks too skinny for his height. I mean, Victor's low weight and intense schedule in the NBA might be the reason why his body could become injury prone.

I'm skeptical of all nba players over 7 foot.  The rigors and athleticism requires hard cuts and a low center of balance.  Too easy to get injured.  There have certainly been successful 7 footers but 7 foot 5 I just think the same way.  He might be a great talent but if longevity isn't in the cards then it's not worth the hype.  I am willing to admit I was wrong 15 years from now but that just seems too tall to stay on the court for any length of time.
1170  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: June 20, 2023, 09:39:52 PM
Well if you don't make enough with your first income you take take many different routes.  First and foremost just what you recommended.  Either work more if you can at your current job or take on a second one.  Second is important and nobody ever really looks at this as a favorable one, live to your means.  Downsize if you have to.  Don't eat out, don't go out as much, etc.  Third you can always look into splitting your costs like getting a roommate, etc.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Want to Trade My House for Some Bitcoins. on: June 20, 2023, 09:33:13 PM
Well if you ask anyone here they will say can't miss.  Ask a more conservative finance community and they will tell you, you are nuts.  In reality it has been proven through the years if this has been done you would have ended up a happy person with the returns.  I might be biased but I still think the situation would be the same if you did it now too.  But don't think of this as a cat miss.  Anything disastrous could happen in crypto.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I created my token and launched it on launchpad, but I don't have money for adve on: June 20, 2023, 09:30:49 PM
It's a out grinding first and foremost but it seems you are doing all those things.  The short of it is that there is too much coin/token saturation currently and you literally can't do it by yourself anymore just too many "big projects" that will out muscle you.  What is the whole point of your project if you don't mind me asking.
1173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 20, 2023, 09:26:53 PM
Bradley Beal went to the Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards traded.
Phoenix Suns: Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards: Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and multiple second round picks.

I think it's good for the Phoenix Suns.
Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal these three will be fun to watch.

So far the best team for Bradly Beal to join because this might be his chance to get to the NBA finals with them if they can successfully become the best trio in the league next season. Let's see who else will be traded this year because they will make some significant adjustment because they need it to beat the Denver Nuggets. especially the Western Conference teams because the scenario will most likely be the same if they don't adjust and get some strong players to help them return to the NBA playoffs to compete for the NBA championship once again.

*If those 3 can all stay on the court they will indeed be fun to watch.  They need to surround themselves with smart defensive veterans and some young guys willing to do the dirty work like get offensive boards, create turnovers etc.  I know on paper it never turns out exactly as planned but they have to be one of the frontrunner with the Nuggets next year.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 18, 2023, 08:12:36 PM
I honestly expect Chris Paul to sign with Lakers now. I mean Lebron is his close friend that is already given, and yes Lebron likes to play with the ball and having a ball heavy point guard there will make it a bit worse.

But, two things comes to mind, I mean aside from them being close friends, Chris Paul could be the floor manager when Lebron is not playing, and he could defend very well at the same time when he is playing, and secondly Lebron could still keep the ball, and Chris Paul could just direct traffic just the way Lebron needs, he could be off the ball general, trying to make everyone go where they should, so Lebron do better. If he gets signed, we are going to see a great season by Lebron for sure, he will play a lot better with someone helping him on the floor.

I'm thinking the same thing.  This might be both lebrons and Paul's last go of it and lebron has always wanted to play with a natural play making guard like Paul. Unfortunately age has caught up and it might be a couple seasons too late.  I wouldn't mind seeing Paul get a chip.  Good dude and always played hard.  Loved watching him play in his prime.
1175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: June 18, 2023, 08:09:52 PM
I guess women's football is two to three decades behind the men's variety. Back in the 1990s, we used to have such one-sided matches in men's football as well. But now the gap between the top teams and the tier-2 teams have narrowed down. Same will happen with the women's game, but it is going to take some time and a lot of investment from the FIFA. I agree that we will not witness an equivalent of Morocco reaching the semi-finals within the next decade in women's football. Because the women's game is confined to a handful of countries as of now.

I think the gap between men team is so small, because a lot of team now have legionnaires from different countries. Players learn from them, exchange experience, they develop. Perhaps I am not that familiar with women football, but I think their team dont have players from other countries. If we take that screenshot as an example. England women football team probably have different players from other countries in their football clubs. As to Latvia - I think they play only among themselves (locals). And when they face such team as England, they dont know what to do.
Women's football for a fact is way too behind the men's football and it'll take some many football changes in the women's football before they can be measured with same yardstick with the men.
However women football isn't as boring as many people do think of it. It's very exciting to watch and I believe this year's FIFA women's world cup will be a joy to watch

Yeah in the past womens soccer was too slow but they have caught up in recent years and the games have actually been real exciting.  For awhile the US weren't really getting challenged but that's all changed there are a ton of teams that will be vying for the cup so it' should prove to be one of the better world cups.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: June 18, 2023, 08:06:38 PM
Of course, we will see this happen, and they will no longer make excuses to ruin people's expectations.

Not until the official weigh-in happened, sh*t happened, mate Cheesy. It's Spence. Anyways, yes hopefully, no more bullsh*t excuses that can possibly delay or postponed the fight.

The hype won't be there anymore if that happened again and again after all the dramas just to make this big fight happen.

And looking at our votes, we prefer or we think that Crawford will win this fight, but for sure it's going to be close and not easy as both fighters are in their prime and we can say the best in the 147 lbs.

Maybe if Spence didn't build up a negative impression on the boxing community for delaying this fight for several years, we might see an equal vote for them both.

I do see they both do have an equal boxing IQ and performance-wise, they are in the high caliber. I didn't even consider Spence as an underdog here.

I tend to agree but crawfords power punches might end up being the deciding factor.  When dude lands power punches it's a nightmare for anyone on the other side of it.  I'm just glad this one is going to actually come through.  I hate paying up for the ppv fee but this one will be worth it.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: Rent or buy real estate - let's have a debate on: June 17, 2023, 09:06:37 PM
I have been debating about it with couple of my colleagues whether stay on rent or buy a property.

Let's assume, you are well capable enough to buy a new property through bank loan. Your income supports the mortgage payment so banks are willing to lend you money.

What will be the best route to take? Buy the property or stay in a rented place?

The usual appreciation rate of your property value is around 10% owing to the development work that are ongoing. For rented property, your rent increases by 15% every year.

What's the better option for you and why?

It really depends on your situation.  If ypu are still transitioning and don't know where you eventually want to settle down I would rent.  The downside of renting is that you can't control your overhead costs like rent $.  The downside to owning in the short term is that the market could drop and if you wanted to move would be upside down on your investment.  If thinking longterm stay I'd always go for buying vs renting.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Litecoin Really Go Parabolic This Summer? on: June 17, 2023, 09:04:09 PM
Litecoin settled back down since this thread was created.  I think halving is just an event and shoukd spur too much action.  Last event nothing really happened either.  In most cases litecoin will track to what bitcoin is doing regardless of what events are in front of litecoin.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 17, 2023, 09:01:38 PM
I don't really understand this comment or post?  Are people down to just looking at coin names at this point?  What's the difference if something is called merit, tree, Bob, etc.  It's just a name.  I would counter with I can't believe people made coins with some of the crazy names they called them.  It's about the underlying project behind it though right?
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 17, 2023, 08:58:13 PM
First I've seen of this that's brutal.  But there has to be more to the story than losing just school fees right?  I mean anyone can rebound from that.  There had to be some underlying issues that this is what pushed them over the edge.  Maybe I'm wrong and if I am this is definitely the dark side to not only gambling but the addiction of gambling.
