2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI Armor RX 570 8GB mining H/S on: July 08, 2018, 12:01:01 PM
Greeting. Can someone tell me why I have a little H/S ? I bought Msi Armor RX 570 8GB gives me only 430 h / s LOKI for Stellite 530 ..  I have not used over clock or Bios or anything else, because I do not know how.. Help ..?
I have heared from many people that MSI Armor is bad for mining, yeah it's cheap compared others but no one suggest me to buy any MSI Armor for mining, they have low hashrate.
I can't say anything more but it's better if you buy sapphire nitro+ in future or msi gaming serie gpu cards.
Before you buy anything, visit this website and see recommended settings + hashrates of GPUs: https://1stminingrig.com
They work but that's about it- the Armor cards don't mine super well and cooling is average on them, but they're cheap and that's why most people go for them. Even if you flash the card with a custom BIOS they still won't hash as well as some slightly more expensive cards.

The Armor cards are especially bad when you don't have a BIOS mod for them, unfortunately. There's plenty of guides out there on how to flash cards, and this guide is just the first one I found on Bitcointalk that seems to be correct. Simply find a BIOS that works for your card model, follow the instructions, and you'll have a working modded card.
2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is your target temp and max temp on gpu? on: July 08, 2018, 04:57:36 AM
It's pretty cool where I live, even during the summers, though there are occasional heatwaves during the summer and my cards do throttle during them.

New cards just aren't designed to operate continuously at higher temps anymore, as we can see with most targets and limits here- some of that's attributed to the fact that current cards are much less power hungry than older gen cards, though. Under normal operation you shouldn't be reaching 80-90C.

Target- 60C
Limit- 75C
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your experience with free cash bonus ? on: July 08, 2018, 02:54:52 AM
My experience with them is claiming several of them and being able to cash out none because of the wager requirements placed on bonuses- if I happen to get a bonus I just gamble the minimum amount that allows me to cash out. If I win, great, if not, it's a bonus. Most sites offer faucets or play tokens which I usually use to test games out. Yes, you might get extremely lucky and win, but it hasn't happened to me yet, and I don't want to go through all the procedures to cashout.  I just ignore bonuses whether they are on sign up or on deposit nowadays.
2105  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: No use Escrow Service from bitify.com (for Seller) on: July 08, 2018, 02:21:39 AM
I've found that if you have adequate proof (which you do), Bitify usually rules in your favor if it really is the buyer that is at fault- Bitify's escrow is bot-operated, but the site support does work though it is a bit slow. The funds not being released to the buyer yet despite 72 hours passing is a good sign in my eyes, though. I expect they'll likely make a decision in the next day or so about the escrow, and the process likely won't take a whole month.
2106  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Super Typhoon heading towards China on: July 07, 2018, 01:56:00 PM
I'm actually in Southeast China (Jiangxi province) right this moment and will be there for some time, last time I visited I was in the same province and just like what Philopolymath said the storms really don't go far inland at all. During my stay I just some moderately heavy rain the entire day and some winds, business as usual. I was also in a typhoon in Hong Kong and things were also just fine. There was hardly any damage at all, things are really engineered to withstand these types of storms near the coast just like in most countries. In some more rural-ish areas near where I am living though, drainage can be an issue during monsoon season right now and tropical rainfall.
2107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to clean a rig? on: July 06, 2018, 04:13:22 AM
You shouldn't expect all the dust to come off of a rig when using compressed air, and I'd suggest using either a cloth or q-tips to get out the dust that can't be blown away by the compressed air. I add some isopropyl alcohol to make the dust come off easier- if you have glasses cleaning fluid, that usually contains isopropyl alcohol and I usually spray a bit onto my cloths.

It's fine to use a bit of force. Just don't use so much that you damage components.
2108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to Know about Decentralized Exchanges on: July 06, 2018, 12:19:38 AM
Volume is extremely low on most DEXes and I hardly use them except for some lesser-known tokens that I want to sell that are only listed on them. I don't use them because of low volume and also the fact that most DEXes have UIs that look like they were made by children (EtherDelta)- I'd much rather just use a traditional exchange for the 99% of times that I'm not trading an obscure token that's only listed on a DEX.

Besides that, most decentralized exchanges usually don't offer any major new features besides being decentralized over traditional exchanges, and coupled with everything I've mentioned earlier I can't be bothered to try them.
2109  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitCrash.us -- The Social Gambling Game (Faucet Available) on: July 05, 2018, 12:59:44 PM
I don`t understand something. What makes this game a "social gambling" game?
Do you play against other people? If no,then why do you call it a social gambling game?
Anyway,I think that this post belongs to the "Project development" or "Announcements" forum boards.
Good luck with this project,OP.
From what I can tell it's a term taken from the original Bustabit game that most of the clones now use as a sort of buzzword or something of the sort- the only social part of the game I see is the chatbox, which most other games already have, and you don't play against anybody in this game like you just said. I guess the 'playing with friends' part is what makes it social.

This actually does belong in Gambling; you'll find most gambling ANNs and subjects related to gambling are located here. Perhaps if this were still in development (which I doubt with a clone) then this could perhaps be in project development, but that isn't the case.
2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you switch your mined coins to USDT immediately or do you HODL? on: July 05, 2018, 09:57:14 AM
I personally instantly sell off my coins to USD every time I get a payment from my mining pool. When I'm mining I like to pay off electrical bills as quickly as possible, and I don't mix my trading money with my mining money. When I'm mining and haven't broken even yet I want to get exactly what I mined, no less, so my break even times don't fluctuate as much. Really just depends if you are okay with taking a risk in HODLing and selling or going with the less risky route of instantly selling (which I take). I'm ROIed on most of my rigs, but I'll probably start doing a 50/50 of selling and HODLing after all my rigs have broken even to mix things up a little bit.
2111  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: any wallet which support bitcoin withdrawal to my bank account ? on: July 05, 2018, 08:03:13 AM
I just searched about the Egyptian Bitcoin exchange that was supposedly launched last year and it's currently dead- the site goes to a GitHub page that gives you a 404 or something similar. A bit surprising to me considering there was so much media fanfare about the platform launching a year back, but I guess things didn't work out with the government or another critical issue happened.

Your best option is to go P2P with LBC like livingfree posted. From what I have seen online most bitcoiners in Egypt conduct their business P2P due to a lack of exchanges and such either way, and LBC works great. I did find that Spectrocoin allows withdrawals in Skrill, PerfectMoney and Payeer, but those methods aren't what you're looking for unfortunately.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake binance pump? on: July 05, 2018, 07:31:06 AM
I personally never take part in pumps unless a coin I hold is being pumped- in such a circumstance I just sell at my predetermined selling point and exit. There's a lot of risks involved in pumps considering some of them last just minutes and you can lose a significant sum of money if the pump doesn't go as you wanted it to go. I usually leave a pump extremely quickly to minimize risks- I'm there to simply trade and not to gamble, and though I've missed out on a lot of money I due to this strategy I don't regret it one bit. For outright gambling I go to online casinos, not an exchange.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What's you opinion on graphic cards becoming obsolete in mining altcoins in 2019 on: July 05, 2018, 05:13:59 AM
They likely won't become obsolete because there are coins out there determined to never allow FPGAs and ASICs to mine on their network and will fork and change algos to do so, but profitability may continue to fall due to rising difficulty and coin prices not going up enough to compensate. Profitability is lower than where it used to be and break even times for most cards are above 1 year now, but by no means are GPUs becoming obsolete anytime soon. The next generation GPUs from Nvidia and AMD with GDDR6 might give us a boost in hashrate and thus profitability as well, though nobody really knows by how much.
2114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Just launched Coinbio.com, Crypto price tracking tool, lmk what you guys think! on: July 05, 2018, 12:37:14 AM
I just visited your site from a mobile device, and one complaint I have with the mobile site is that the pages for some coins like BTC are extremely tall, and it's sometimes difficult to navigate even with the table of contents you provide with each page. Perhaps making just one widget with a tool to change pages would be better on mobile IMO.

The 24-hour volume units are also only displayed in their respective cryptocurrencies, and I think an option to view the volume in fiat currencies would be helpful.

In addition, for at least BTC, the network hashrate is displayed in H/s instead of PH/s or EH/s- it's hard to read so many numbers, and I think using one of the aforementioned units would make the general description of BTC neater.

Thank you for the very helpful feedback!

1. Long page - Page length is understandably an issue, as some articles will keep growing. We are always working to come up with better solutions to help usability of the app. I am a bit confused as to what sort of widget specifically you are referncing to. One to hop pages or one to change sections more easily within the same page? Or something like tabs where you can hop between wikis/social stats/analysis/etc.

2. 24 hour volume units displayed in native currency - I am working on it actually this week to change the display data of 24h volume to show in the currency you are currently viewing it as e.g. USD. This will also enable us to throw up a sort filter on it as well. You should be able to see this soon in next couple of weeks.

3. Hashrate calculation - I actually initially coded it to convert and shorten the lengths into their respective Mh/s, Gh/s Th/s, Ph/s, etc. The problem is that our data provider (cryptocompare) supplies us inconsistant units of measurement in regards to hash rate across all our supported coins.

e.g. Bitcoin can be given in units of kilo hashes for example: 11293489230234 and I can convert that to Gh/s or Ph/s. However Ethereum can be supplied to us as a much shorter number and it can be in Mega Hashes, Kilo Hashes, etc. without actually notifying us in which unit of measurement it is currently given to us in, making it impossible to caculate the conversion without being supplying incorrect data on other coins. So this was really messing up measurements across all coins and until we have a better data source for hash rates, well have to be displaying the current raw data as is.
For 1, I'm talking about tabs- they'll shorten the page up nicely and make it much easier to view without affecting anything else too much IMO.

Everything else sounds good, always nice to have a new service that rivals an existing one like coinmarketcap and actually cares about functionality! I'll definitely be using you guys in the future for price tracking. Truly is a shame that cryptocompare sends its hashrate data that way, though- perhaps there's another API you could use for hashrate data? I'll be on the lookout for one myself.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is the antminer for Ethereum on the market yet? on: July 04, 2018, 11:30:17 PM
But still, they are cheaper than a mining rig composed of graphics cards.

The first batch for $800 was cheaper. At the current price it's close enough to a GPU rig that it doesn't seem to be worth it.

First deliveries should start July 16.
Yeah, first batch was cheap and at the moment mining with it was dramatically profitable compared to gpu mining.
Even if it is a very little bit profitable than gpu, my vote for gpu mining in anyway. I have bad history with asics, they damage easily. GPU's work very well and are easy to sell after use in mining. Also for example if you buy GTX 1080ti, you have possible chance of great roi. For example this winter it could return invested money in two month if you would mine on nicehash or on other coins.
I share your opinion on GPU matter, however there is one thing that interest me. How did you come to conclusion that roi for 1080ti would be two month? I don't know where you live, and maybe price of 1080ti in your country is lower than in mine, but here I would need around two years for roi. NH shows average profitability of 1080ti with $0.05 KW/h to be around $48, so two months for roi is insane conclusion. Or maybe you thought two years?
Where are you getting a two-year break even period for a 1080Ti? The cards now commonly go for around $700 (they're even in the Nvidia store for that price right this moment), and with that price I figure you break even in 14 months, which isn't close to two years. I know they only ship to Canada, the US and its territories, but prices shouldn't be a lot higher than that right now for the card.

Prices are supposedly going to drop further sometime next month or so, so at the very least you might get down to the $700 that most people are paying right now or lower.
2116  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit or hitbtc on: July 04, 2018, 01:51:41 PM
Yobit's basically as low as you can get without going to a complete scam exchange. They're constantly doing maintenance (or so they say) on coin wallets, and 'maintenance' can last for months or your coins can be locked on the exchange forever. Neither exchange is great but I would go with Hitbtc all day due to my personal experiences with YoBit and what I've read on the forums throughout the years. YoBit hasn't changed a bit since I've been in crypto and I doubt they ever will.

I second Binance as a good exchange- I'm not verified on the site and everything still works fine for me, they have all the pairs I trade including Tronix, and despite their occasional maintenance and issues they're miles better than both YoBit or Hitbtc.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How much is the minimum capital to start making a mining rig ? on: July 04, 2018, 12:30:49 PM
Also depends how many cards you want to have and what your definition of a mining rig is- some people might call a rig 2 cards, some 8. Truth is we really can't answer you with such an ambiguous question- you need to give us some basic idea of what you would consider to be a rig, like 6 cards or 8 cards, Nvidia 1000 series or AMD Polaris. The Computer Hardware section and also this section should give you a basic idea of what most rigs look like. If you show us an example we can give you a quote.

2119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Do People Dump Their Precious Tokens With Ridiculous Low Price on: July 04, 2018, 04:57:53 AM
There are also rare cases where coins/tokens are locked on a main exchange and can't be withdrawn (in the case of Tronix and Binance). In such cases, people will dump their coins to free up their money and potentially invest elsewhere- I personally buy when situations like this happen, because prices usually rebound as soon as the coins are transferrable from the exchange again.

It can also be that a whale has received negative information ahead of time regarding a token or coin, and the whale wants to get out ASAP, dumping coins at extremely low prices.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is GTX 1050 ti Worth it? on: July 04, 2018, 04:23:17 AM
Depends what price the 1050s are going for really, but in most cases you should be going for a 1050Ti versus a 1050 if the card is priced at $150. In mining there isn't a real jump from the 970 to 1050Ti, and the 1050Ti actually does worse than the 970 in most algos, but you save on electrical costs as the 1050ti uses much less power (which you don't care about).

In the end I would personally stick with the 970. It's a better card than the 1050ti as it hashes quicker on most algorithms, and power isn't an issue for you. It's just fine for basic mining and it's a great card all-around.
