Today is the tournament but it didnt affected the price at all.. Any thoughts why?
Why would it affect it? If it brings viewers from the Twitch it may affect it slightly as new people buy in, but I wouldn't expect any big movement if investors don't pour in capital.

What is happening with cryptopia withdrawals?... Why they are taking so long?  Huh Huh

From their post (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/News)
Quote
Deposit & Withdrawal Updates 16th February
We are aware of issues with long processing times on deposits and withdrawals. This doesn't affect withdrawals of ETH, ETN, BTC, LTC or DOGE.

We apologise for these and have been working hard on a resolution.

As of early next week we expect deposit times to be back within normal ranges, while withdrawals may take longer to restore to normal operation.

In the interim, please be aware that processing times on deposits or withdrawals may exceed 30 hours, although in most cases are likely to be less than this. Please don't submit support tickets relating to processing delays as we are unable to expedite these manually - our focus is on quickly resolving the issue for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding

The Cryptopia Team.

Isn't an update (called "Thunder" I think) going to solve this problem by the way? Or just using other coins works as well! Grin

Introducing ARK Symfony, yet another addition to the ever increasing list of supported frameworks, APIs, wrappers, and clients that interact with the ARK blockchain.

So it's a PHP based framework.... like WordPress and Joomla is? I didn't understand much.

hi

i have lost my passphrase (paper wallet and a water leak on the roof dont mix well(yes it was in a safe but not water resistant))
the gui wallet is still on my  surface pro i can see the gbx
but is there a way to use them without the passphrase???

or did i am F***** ?

thanks
Search into the backup folder for an auto backup that doesn't have a passphrase. But I think you just burned the coins.

no no no not burned the coins...drowned them
Sorry for your loss Sad
Wait what you said lephiloufou confused me... you said "paper wallet", did you have the private keys there or just a personal passphrase you used to lock the GUI wallet? Had you locked the wallet or not?

sorry i wasnt really clear
that was a personnal passphrase i used to locked the wallet but because i have close to twenty wallet with different coins ,i wrote all the different phrases or login  on paper ,
the gbx was the only one really unreadable

but the good news is my backup (sd card with picture of the papers)who despite being in a different place was also wet ,after being dried worked ,
so  finally i am ok

but this got me thinking ,all my backup in the same house not the best idea...nope
Oh I'm glad! Maybe it's time to buy one of these https://cryptosteel.com  Wink

What it seems to me https://cryptosteel.com/ it is generally unnecessary thing. I think better on paper to record.
Ofcourse I know, I was joking because this thing is such an overkill! Yet it has so many flaws... someone can just steal it and open it if you don't have it locked, he can brake the lock if it's not strong enough and even if you use an unbreakable lock you could lock yourself out in case you lose the key.

I have a Ledger Nano S and the secret phrase is cut into multiple parts, each part having 2 copies and scattered in different houses/cars/places. I gave it a lot of though and I belive that's the safest and most convenient way. Too bad you can't have every coin, including like GBX, stored in this hardware wallet.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OpenBeta] FirstBlood.io - Come Play!! 1ST Esports Competition Platform on: February 16, 2018, 02:50:07 PM
we are in accumulation, been there forever. Just hope I can exit my position on some random pump. This coin is not really worth anything and crypto community does not care about it at all.
You ain't gonna make a cent if you're being disappointed by price action so easily mate. There is a reason "HODL" is a thing in the crypto-world!

man, I have been holding this useless token for 9 months. I need almost 7x to breakeven on my investment. There were "soo many" exciting things in this time in regards to 1st but it never reflected in the 1st/BTC. I wont give up tho.
Wow did you buy on the spike up? I know how that feels, it has happened to everyone who's trading long enough. But the worst is to sell on loss and then see it reverse.
Personally I'd like to be able to use 1ST to game in a competitive environment and I don't care about it's price. I wonder if my ETH address can take tokens though... is every ETH address compatible? Even if it doesn't have any ETH yet? I haven't look it up much.
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🤖 Daneel.io: The First A.I Created To Help Cryptocurrency Investors on: February 16, 2018, 02:44:06 PM
Each time someone will purchase a license to use Daneel, 6% of the tokens he spends will be burned. This ensures a constant deflation of the DAN tokens which will likely increase their value. I think this model will work out very well.
Really. To be frank I have not taken notice of this. But if this is really the case then I think is quite cool. We need to uphold daneel token in high esteem because it is going to help us. Daneel team is really doing a great job.

This is indeed a very clever design of how will the token supply evolve after the ICO. Since you need the tokens to pay for subscription to Daneel service, and if 6% of the tokens get burned at every step, unless the program is a complete failure the price of the tokens is destined to grow in time enflessly by the laws of offer/demand, provided the number of users adds up in time.
Yes this is one of the reasons that got me intrested in the project too. My main investement at the moment is XRP which works with a similar way of burning coins with every transaction.
Aaaaargh I can't decide if I should invest or not!!
2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: February 16, 2018, 10:17:00 AM
I don't know how to explain this feeling, but somehow I feel a tiny bit more clever after reading your post. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

I also feel ashamed for being part of this group you mentioned even though I wouldn't consider myself this type of "investor".
I decided to get involved and learn about blockchains and cryptocurrencies on September, then found some projects that I liked and since then I've "invested" in them by buying, holding and writing a good word of encouragement to the team now and then. I wish I could do more but all I know is HTML, PHP, some basic SQL and VBA, I can't offer technical help to any project.

Did the potential of money lured me in? Yes... but in no way I would throw my principals out of the window in order to get rich fast. I want to live a simple life and have a safenet of money in cryptocurrencies.
At the moment I'm "crunching" scientific projects for a better world instead of "mining" for money using BOINC. Great project in case people would want to support it.

Since I'm new to the forums, I don't know about you Knievel. What is the project you're saying you're working on? Elastic? The idea sounds intresting and I'd like to get involved.
2129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2018, 09:00:45 AM

This is sad, but so true! Yet it can die from another coin. With so much heaviness in BTC, I believe that if for even one day XRP or ETH close with higher market cap than BTC, people will start jumping ship without second thoughs.
2130  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 16, 2018, 08:32:47 AM
I was also wondering about this part, does sending a merit costs you your own merit?
If you would read the first post in this thread (yes, the infographics explain this) you would know, that you don't loose any Merit points by sending Merit to another user (Difference between Merit & sMerit)
Ah you're right, the infographics helped. I tried to open the first 2 infographics but they were listed in imgur, which is blocked from the office computer I'm using at the moment. But I logged in from the phone and checked them out, thanks for points it out.

I believe you should make it easier for people to be able to logout and change accounts.
Even when I cleared browser cookies and cache I couldn't logout on my phone!!! Somehow it allowed me to make a 2nd account but now I can't login back to my 1st main account.

Edit: Ok after clearing the cache I could still see my old account name on top-right but when I tapped on the "lock" icon it asked me for username and password, so everything's good now. Grin
2133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🤖 Daneel.io: The First A.I Created To Help Cryptocurrency Investors on: February 16, 2018, 08:18:14 AM
Why so much personal info asked in the ICO page? Is this really necessary?  I haven't seen it before in other ICOs (I haven't checked many to be honest though).

When you register for serious projects, you are always asked a lot of personal information. No need to worry, Daneel's project is serious, I can trust him with my data. But in the future, the Daneel project will not have problems with the law, this is another plus!
Still, hacks can happen and data can be stolen. If I'm not purchasing something online, I don't see the reason to give a mobile phone and address data.
Between giving false data and not bothering, I probably won't bother at all. I only wanted to offer a small amount anyway.
2134  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 16, 2018, 07:57:58 AM
What's the point of this merit thing?
Is it fair to new members to require minimum merit to lvl up while older members are already up there?
Is it now a requirement to get minimum merit to level up for new members?

I agree with that! Since the new merit system is active, even active members have a hard time to rank up. I participate almost daily in discussions and try to share as constructive and useful opinion as possible but no one gives a damn to send me a merit and (to be honest) until now I just sent merit one time to a guy just to see how it works and if it costs me my own merit points.

This system has the advantage that scammers cannot rank up easily but the disadvantages are clear:

1. Active members without much friends will have a hard time to gather merit points. It seems to be almost impossible for them.
2. Members with a lot of friends will share their merit points with each other, no matter how good or bad their posts are. They rank up finally even when they only post trash while constructive lonesome wolfs stay at low ranks forever and finally give up.
3. People may lose motivation to be very active here because they know that the chances to ever rank up are very low. Many useful, constructive posts will stay unwritten.

This is just my personal opinion. Thank you!
I was also wondering about this part, does sending a merit costs you your own merit? Also, I don't think it's hard for a scammer to PM a member with many merit points and offer a trade... merit points for some BTC.

Works insane!
Before at webstat I see 11,7-11,8MH/s with 1 test card. With this always 12,0xx. On ethermine.org I see always a little time "default" named rig and my too. This will be the small % devfee.

But why no update this superb software, only with claymore 10.0 working...
This can't be right. I use it on 10.6 and it works fine, I also see the "default" rig in ethermine.org as you said.

Bought a bag of Ark.  Going to HODL.

Is this the correct link for paper wallet?

https://arkecosystem.github.io/ark-paperwallet/

I have'nt really read through 552 pages, but are there any issues I should be aware of when putting Ark into the paper wallet?  Or is this paper wallet fine?

Also, how do I view or transfer from my Ark wallet?  Is their an interface like MEW for ERC20 tokens?
Not sure if I understood your question but... ARK is not an ERC20 token, it's a full-fledged coin. You can use their wallet.
