2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: return as soon as possible and win back your losses . on: October 19, 2017, 01:16:13 PM
We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?

Yes, we can lose our money in gambling because it is full of risks and excitement, pleasure and pain, joy and sorrow, a mixture of almost everything.
Coming back to your question, the best thing I would do if I were you is that, I would still gamble but not with the purpose of recovering back (in my mind) what I lost already. Because we take wrong decisions under the panic pressure and that leads us to losing our capital even more. Try to "stop" there, take some more time, chill out & relax, then search for something new that you believe you could win in and then gamble in it. But I would remind you again not to go all-in on any bets with the intention of winning back your loss, only gamble a decided percentage of your bankroll and be happy if you win it. You will eventually be able to recover, not by taking it all into account but by doing it the correct way.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: October 19, 2017, 01:03:24 PM
So does this factor affect how you gamble?

If prices go up, do you lower you bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you lower it to 0.0001 per bet?

If prices go down, do you place higher bets? For example, you normally bet 0.001 per bet, do you place higher bets like 0.01 per bet?

Not just me, but most people would agree that the price factor does affect the way we use to gamble.
It was easy to lose even BTC0.1 when the price was $250 (a time when I gambled a lot). Then, a time came when it crossed back 1000 again and I have fixed my weekly betting size to BTC0.05 (not per bet, but total bets' wagering not more than BTC0.05). It means even if I lose, I would lose not more than $200 a month, which was affordable. Then, the price had a rapid increase and it gradually caught the attention of media as well as investors and 5x was made possible. I now bet not more than BTC0.1 a month (total wagering of BTC0.1) which means I can afford to lose $500-$600 a month (not compulsory that I lose only, but just a speculation). That's the difference it made to the betting sizes, hope you understood how I gamble.  Wink
2123  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: October 19, 2017, 12:55:49 PM
I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Thanks

They say it because trading is risky just like gambling and could lead to losses which you couldn't afford.
They ask you to buy the dips, but won't tell you when will those dips take place. You need to research and try to find it yourself. It has become a common thing now that whenever any controversy arises and heats up that's related to Bitcoins, you will surely see a downfall (can't say how much, but it takes place) and there you may decide your level of getting in. Let's take yesterday's example, there was a sudden roller-coaster-ride pattern seen on the charts when the price fell down from 5700 to a low of 5101, and it's back to 5725 and currently 5666 (at the time of writing). That's where the knowledge and luck part plays an important role and know one thing that nobody would come and tell you the secret of buying and selling levels, you need to find them yourself because even if anyone alarms you of a dip, you don't know if you will be seeing it the next minute because of the volatility in the markets.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin for 2018 that is very cheap now? on: October 19, 2017, 12:26:16 PM
I see 3 coins that have huge potential and are currently being sold extremely dirt cheap:
  • BTS (Bitshares): A coin that's currently been very undervalued as well as underestimated, the fastest transactions over their network with least fees are being provided by them but really don't understand how it broke 4k and went down under 1k. It still deserves a better price than what it holds.
  • Waves: The coin that shook the entire Ethereum smart contract strategy by having it all done under their decentralized exchange network. Because of the current plunge going on in values of altcoins, I think this is also looking cheap and may go 10x just the way NEO did some time back.
  • VIB (Viberate): The coin recently got listed over HitBTC and it was initially being traded at Livecoin. It is currently just 2-3 cents more than its ICO value, many people don't know much about it but I have read their whitepaper and can say that the project is interesting and the coins are very cheap. You should definitely invest your dime into this if you are expecting a 10x next year.
2125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins? on: October 19, 2017, 12:13:07 PM
Agreed that only a few will remain in the long run because most are getting pumped for no reason, but just being spiked to keep up with the flow.
I think that if I would be you, I would wait currently before putting any money and wait for some more downfall because there is more yet to come in the upcoming days due to the forks.
- Only invest in the top 100 coins.
- Only invest in coins that have a market cap of more than 10  - 100 million USD (at least).
- Invest in coins which are in top 100 and have been down more than 10 - 20x the price where they were at their peak.
- Don't hold too much in alts, when you get the opportunity to sell, don't just "wait under the name of hope" that you will reach your target. Set 3 goals instead of one and they should be based on percentages.
2126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is falling, But don't worry! on: October 18, 2017, 07:22:26 PM
how far will it drop guys ?

I agree with the OP's statement that the current drop is temporary and will leave us aside with a memory of the "possible" final correction we are going to see. But I disagree that the support is at 4800, I think 5k is the least it could drop according to the momentum it is still holding. Volumes over exchanges are increasing even with the decrease in price and price is holding strongly at the 5400 level, so expecting a big drop would be like expecting something without thinking.
2127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto Alive on: October 18, 2017, 07:07:38 PM
If Satoshi Nakamoto is a person and alive,
They must have been a person, or I guess an alien must have invented Bitcoins from some other Galaxy and sent it to our World as a gift, ehh!? /sarcasm
Apparently, Satoshi IS A PERSONALITY who was behind the success of Bitcoins, and I believe he still is! Smiley

Quote
wont he come out and claim the fame and success his invention has achieve so far?
No, because they must be thinking of their own concept of anonymity before taking a step further to disclose themselves in front of the world. Don't you think you would have remained behind the scenes and supported your invention if you were Satoshi? Won't there be a fear of any life-threatening situations that may arise after their exposure? Think why people are supporting Bitcoins? Because they are all able to manage their money being their own bank and that too, without coming in front and doing it "pseudo"-anonymously. There's nothing wrong if they are trying to hide themselves from the general public as they are SPECIAL.  Wink
2128  Economy / Speculation / Re: I do not have the guts to buy bitcoins now. on: October 18, 2017, 06:56:29 PM
Buying isn't a compulsory activity but should be done on a temporary basis if not permanent.
I am not saying that you should buy a whole 1 BTC, try buying smaller amounts because this will not only support you in the future (when the price increases), but you are also showing support to the community as well as Bitcoins by putting your own money into this because unless you buy it, you won't be able to understand the significance of the role it plays in our life now.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2281528.0 <- Check this thread with the title "This family bet it all on Bitcoin" and you will know what it takes to be a Bitcoiner. Don't just believe, join the hands and support.  Smiley
2129  Economy / Speculation / Re: This family bet it all on Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 06:50:52 PM
This late? the best bet could be when price was $700 but even now is a good time. At least sell 2 bitcoins to rent a room Cheesy Maybe other families need to invest on LTC. Price is increasing every day. bitcoin is the best investment for everyone, If you want to put all your eggs in one basket it should be on bitcoin.

Late for what? Investing on Bitcoins? Nope.
They had the courage to go all in and I congratulate them on their decision as well as hats off to the guy who had such guts to put all his money into Bitcoins at such price as well as the family who is supporting him in his decision. They made it public and that's what gives us Bitcoiners the strength after watching such motivational personalities that we are heading towards a brighter future with the technology we are currently involved in. Bitcoin is not just increasing in values, it has now become a part of our lives' evolution.
2130  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country will be the first to legalize Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 06:27:08 PM
Japan will be the first (as under my knowledge, they have already started regulating and legalizing it, and India is following them too on this), Canada has started preparing a framework in which they will discuss the steps to regulate Bitcoins, Russia will be regulating it and so many other countries to follow.
All this for legalization and regulations? Do you really think there will be any successful future once it gets started being regulated by governments and/or their old banking systems? I am not scared but worried about the future of Bitcoins because once it gets "regulated", there won't be anything here called as "decentralized" anymore.
2131  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: earn bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 05:18:17 PM

Thanks

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0
Go to this thread above and you will get your "list" to learn about the ways to earn Bitcoins here and there.
Try out different things like selling goods or services and/or try twitter/fb campaigns here as signature campaigns won't allow you to enroll due to your current Newbie rank. The campaigns I suggested you can be found here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
2132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: October 18, 2017, 05:10:46 PM
All the bets were looking to be a part of Martingale of course, cutting them through smaller bets is better but trying to chase your losses or recover them is not a good idea tbh. Losing over those bets that you showed (0.06, 0.12, 0.24, etc.) could lead you to something that I would call a "stupid trial" where you tried to light a candle and burnt the whole house. Don't mind me but you should not go for your loss with your complete bankroll because attempts to recover as well as the temptation and addiction won't let you stop once you start (and that may lead to losing your whole capital which won't be wise).
2133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: October 18, 2017, 04:34:21 PM
NAV is currently being pumped hard over Trex, the value has already doubled and there looks a big breakout as well as indicators too show green signs for it to remain more bullish than getting back. It's wallet is also disabled there due to maintenance (which looks like a major reason for the pump). I have also seen rise in the buy volume which was 50 BTC before the start of the pump and is now over 100 BTC. According to my instinct, values currently are very low and the price should do another 2x from the current level. Still, it's a pump so try to get out with 50% profits and buy back if you see a dip back again.
2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what makes you trust a new altcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 04:27:25 PM
i wonder what makes you trust a new altcoin? what you're looking for in their company page etc...?

I am giving you a statement for ICO-related things:
Initially, we should quit being lazy in our life and take a brief look in the whitepaper of the project if we are interested in knowing more, because nothing's better than a whitepaper to make you understand everything about the project. Then, look for and try to verify the legitimacy of the developers and team of the project that's involved in order to know if they will surely deliver or are out to scam? Last but not least, check if they have a hard cap set or not. Because most projects don't set limits and ask for unlimited* amounts which could result in it being a scam later on.

* - Unlimited means that you are allowed to invest any amounts and the ICO doesn't end till the date proposed. Many ICOs have a hard cap set which makes them look more trustworthy.
2135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 17, 2017, 07:29:16 PM
Wink The title motivates me to buy bitcoin and hold them up instead of having savings deposit  Cheesy. Bitcoin has a quality to value up to 10k. Current market capability of bitcoin and its growth observed is very in a short span of time. Its not doubtful to say it may reach that value one day. I will try to buy them instead of saving my fiat. Cool

It's really a word of honor for me that this motivated you in any means to get into Bitcoins and buy some more.
I really agree that banks are going to lose over this soon because what times they take to give you few %s during eras, Bitcoin has established its own era where you decide what you wish to get paid for your own money. Bitcoin will be 100 billion soon enough and I am seeing investors talking about total cryptocurrency business value to be more than 5 trillion dollars in a matter of time. I don't know whether it would replace that old traditional agenda-matic systems or not, but this is definitely one of the newest and best systems that gives you complete hold of your finance in your hands.
2136  Other / Meta / Re: Old User - New Account as password reset NOT working for old account on: October 17, 2017, 07:00:59 PM
Did you set any specific question and answer for this to recover?
If not, then it might be the case just as the search function that's dysfunction-ing currently.
Try contact admins as Cyrus comes online often, they might help you out.
The least you can do is to post over Meta and ask for your password reset email by signing a message with your Bitcoin address.
2137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OFICIAL Statement on disabled accounts - bittrex on: October 17, 2017, 06:56:11 PM
The step that they have taken may look rigid while getting everything done all of a sudden, but it was needed to be done to protect misuse of their exchange and/or any money-laundering activities that might have been getting done under the absence of radar. I think they should have given their customers a warning over this, but whatever they did can't be judged because the KYC policy's been there since 2015 and they gave enough time to their users to manage all their economic affairs and get some time to get their KYC done.

Hello everyone, I'm not here for a long time. I have since 2010 3 bitcoins on my wallet and I do not know what to do with them, how many I looked on the Internet everywhere what suspicious sites to sell them. I do not trust such a person at all, please help me or advice to whom to sell, and it would be better for a living person. I will make a very pleasant discount from the current course, everything is exactly easy money.

My son wrote, I can not figure it out if it's not difficult to write who can help with Skype:KiberMul559584199 or in qip: +79661829081

Please use encrypted data techniques to reveal such situations next time, that too to them whom you can really trust.

2139  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC analysis for this month! on: October 16, 2017, 06:57:22 PM
UPDATE: We were so near to reach our next target at 6k to see if it tests the higher levels at 7k and 7500 but the target didn't accomplish as it looks like whales are satisfied with the current price that's being pulled between 5700 and 5850. The resistance at 5k is still strong and won't let the price get drowned below that level as the volume is very high and the momentum is making it to look like an extremely bullish trend that doesn't seem to be ending soon. I am not scared about the fork because whatever will happen, everything will be in favor of Bitcoins and let the positive side win.
2140  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 16, 2017, 06:18:53 PM
I agree with this opinion that is also why i am still holding my bitcoins after this long i am waiting after the fork and if it goes very high i willl sell and if it does not go that high as expected i will wait longer.
Why do you not sell your Bitcoin at high price of every cycle? I think it will better than just wait and wait the price of Bitcoin reaches to very high price. And important, what is your "very high price"? It does not mean is all time high price.

Selling your coins looks like a scrawny experience when you know you can wait, and a very painful decision at times when you are in need to sell, can't wait and see sudden price growth that's where hodling works. It's like one of the principles of Bitcoins that if you hodl more, you will get more for it in the future. It's obvious that you should even sell because without "sells", how would buyers buy to appreciate the value? And I agree that ATH price can't be considered as very high price because it's totally uncertain as to where it may stop. But such buy/sells are for day traders and/or traders only and not for those who commonly use it as a way of income.
