given the reputation of the company in question, #1 is more likely.
2122  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: April 01, 2014, 10:10:44 AM
Won't save tradebots again. I'll puke if I have to set them up one more time. ;(

Hashfast think we are fools
Aren't we?

I certainly am. Fell for their stupid weekend sale when it seemed obvious they were good to go with their chip production. Even paid for next day early am shipping. stupid.

One sierra doesn't seem like enough to bother with a lawyer and I'm not the type to use a baseball bat for anything besides hitting baseballs.

4028 is default for cgminer.

Nailed it. That dood is smartz. ^^^

sure just run cgremote and boost the refresh rate.

Yeah they stopped loving us. Think it was right about the time we paid them.

Code:
A plaintiff that never purchased any products from Hashfast Technologies
was granted a TRO from the Tarrant County District Court, Texas.

Is there any clear evidence around that makes that statement a lie? A receipt maybe?

It uses the word "purchased". Did cypher ever obtain anything of value from hashfast?

pur-chased:

Quote
to acquire by the payment of money or its equivalent; buy.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/purchased?s=t

I haven't "purchased" anything from hashfast either by that definition.

In other news, the word "is" has been redefined once again by the greatest legal minds of our generation.

<sigh>

This company is pathetic. They should just merge with bfl and cointerra and make one big crap sandwich of a company.

...which is why he's wisely trying to get btc on there.
2131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 31, 2014, 06:27:58 AM
That's the problem with all these scammy companies. They lie endlessly and nobody knows anything for certain, except them, and they're dishonest.

They don't get the benefit of the doubt anymore, that time is over. Now they're selling equipment and designs to kslaughter...another scammer, rather than delivering to their own customers. They have a pile of chips and could just tell the truth. Something like:

"Hey guys we suck. We're broke, and can't make your shit anymore, but here's the board design and the chips you paid for, please use them to get your machines built."

While that would suck at least it would give their victims some relief, but they're instead trying to get me to agree to another delay. Scammy. Just like when they tried to get b1 victims to give up their rights to refunds. This company is staffed by a bunch of snakes.
2132  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 31, 2014, 06:00:20 AM
I don't "know" much of anything about scamfast's financials, but someone posted a btc addy just a few pages back with 3k btc in it. I know that *I* sent those thieves over 51Btc for a $6000 product and that payment is worth several times that now, same with the bj sales way back in August/September. If they can screw that up and run out of money while selling designs to a bunch of other scams then there's not much that can be done.
2133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 31, 2014, 03:37:17 AM
HF decides to screw their customers at every opportunity they get. Why?

Simple answer?  They're broke.  They have chips they've paid for, but they do not have the capital to manufacture and ship complete miners... That's my guess anyways.

Then why bother with a TRO to prevent them spending their ample supply of BTC? Pretty sure the lawyers figured out how to use blockchain.info.
2134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 31, 2014, 03:20:25 AM
HF decides to screw their customers at every opportunity they get. Why?

Because they already paid. Scamfast has nothing further to gain(steal) from those "customers". Now they can just sell the products that should go to those "customers" to someone else.
2135  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: March 31, 2014, 03:14:10 AM
It's more than a little disconcerting that they're selling boards to AMC/VMC that should have gone to people who ordered back in August or September.

To say the least. Blows large holes in the notion that they're incompetent rather than crooked.
2136  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: March 31, 2014, 01:13:12 AM
Swell. Everyone will have hashfast equipment except the people who pre-ordered from hashfast. Sure would be nice if some of these AGs would get off their lazy asses and indict some of these crooks.
2137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 31, 2014, 01:05:41 AM
Sweet, one scammy company supplying another while screwing over the people that funded the whole thing.
2138  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: March 31, 2014, 12:50:33 AM
Cool, thanks for the tip. I shall give it a go.

Here is a quote from kano:

Quote
The BaB driver with 7 boards uses less than 10% CPU on RPI Arch - and for my 7 BA BaB boards, mines at over 270GH/s
It seems to be limited to 2 boards per SPI channel. More tends to get all sorts of errors.
Will look into resolving that ... one day.

Kind of a bummer Sad Most of my rigs have more than 2 boards per SPI channel so :\ yeah..

After a few minutes of running with the bab-options set on my v1.2 rigs it still seems that performance is not consistently equivalent to that of chainminer. That may have something to do with the quote from kano above.

Another thing is I'm not sure if cgminer turns off dead or "zombie" chips like I would when manually editing the chainminer best.cnf file. By zombie chips I mean those that no matter what always hash at a pitifully low hashrate (0.05 to 0.10).

It does shut them down. Check the driver for BAB_BAD_DEAD. This is set to BAB_BAD_MIN * 2 by default. I have cgminer running on a full rig.

The display tells you exactly what's going on with your rig:

0: BaB 0      : 4.16.256 B:034 D:000

BaB 0 4(banks)16(cards)256(chips)34(bad_min)0(disabled)

Here's a very naughty rig:

0: BaB 0       : 4.13.200 B:008 D:025

Cgminer doesn't seem to like the cards set to .85v. The same cards freak out bfgminer.

You can also decrease the time necessary for testing by changing the history setting to something like 120(s) from the default 300(s).

You might try 57:54:54:2:15 on v2 cards and see what you get.
