2121  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: September 05, 2014, 08:15:01 PM
Can it get any worse than this?

Ebola-infected patient in Liberia escapes quarantine, enters crowded market

http://rt.com/news/184660-ebola-patient-escapes-liberia

Hundreds of people might have got infected. But don't just blame the patient only. The authorities are also responsible for this. The president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has proved to be an extremely incompetent individual. She was the one who gave the order to establish treatment centers in crowded slums (such as West Point) and other urban areas.

Oh so much worse I don't even want to imagine it.  I'm honestly just waiting for the outbreak to hit the United States..  This situation has been so poorly handled it's scary.  I can't for the life of me understand why Liberia's President didn't shut the border down before the virus had a chance to spread there.  When you have terrorism running wild and psycho's talking about depopulation your imagination just starts to run wild, or maybe it is just me.  So yea I for one think it can get worse.

When I mentioned Ebola coming to the US a few weeks ago, everyone said I watched too many movies. It is a real possibility and containment isn't as easy as everyone says.

So a smuggler ratted out a fellow smuggler? Things are not going to end well for him.

I don't see anything about bribes? Seems like border patrol missed him everytime he crossed the border.
2123  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Columbia student Emma Sulkowicz vows to carry mattress around university on: September 05, 2014, 08:10:13 PM
Ridiculous how the guy has raped multiple women but he still remains on campus with no disciplinary action taken against him. I could not stand to be on the same campus as someone who violated me like that. It would take all my willpower to not stab that fucker in the face.

As for carrying around the mattress, anything that helps gain exposure to what happened will help prevent future sexual assaults.

2125  Other / Off-topic / Re: What kind of sport do you prefer? on: September 05, 2014, 07:52:19 PM
I play soccer and basketball, but I watch everything thanks to gambling.

Football and basketball are my favorite to watch.

Why not make your facebook private so that random people can't look through your life?
2127  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need a beer. Better buy a 6 pack.No? maybe a 30 pack no?. 99 pack? YES! on: September 05, 2014, 07:46:27 PM
What about buyng whole keg? I can imagine it would cost less for about same amount of beer Smiley

It definitely costs less but there is much more effort there too.

Having to transport it, keep it cool, tap it, and then killing all the beer before it goes flat.  Kegs are more for entertainment purposes at a party than to just grab a keg and letting it chill in your house.
2128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Vs. Paypal on: September 05, 2014, 09:40:43 AM
PayPal is a shitty company in general but it is more widespread/known and has credibility. Bitcoin is 100x better and will surpass it in the future when it has enough exposure and acceptance.
2129  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anyone following the ebola outbreak? on: September 05, 2014, 12:42:41 AM
And the projection forward:

Raw data and information is available at http://www.who.int/csr/don/archive/disease/ebola/en/

If the forward projection is correct and it takes ~1 year to get the outbreak under control, then we can expect on the order of 100k - 1 million casualties. It is clear that even at the current relatively low levels of cases, containment has been entirely ineffective, as the outbreak is following a classical exponential growth trend. If the outbreak starts to go into the tens - hundreds of thousands, containment will be all but impossible without major military intervention by Western nations.

Don't think it will be that high. So far about 2k have died. They are predicting 30k by the end of it.
2130  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Casinos in Atlantic City close, 5,000 workers out of work on: September 05, 2014, 12:40:29 AM
Other jurisdictions close by (PA, DE, and NY) have implemented casino gambling so many have no reason to travel to AC to gamble.  The same companies are opening those places so the workers often move around to whatever is hot at the moment.

This.

Also, Atlantic City is pretty ghetto and doesn't have any other entertainment besides gambling unlike Vegas
2131  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sharks nine times more likely to kill men than women, study says on: September 05, 2014, 12:27:41 AM
Really dumb "comprehensive" study.

Although this is comical:

Quote
"People patting sharks on the head, making them angry, putting their hand in the shark's mouth to get a fishing hook out. Jumping on sharks and trying to ride them. There are provoked shark attacks that should win Darwin Awards," he said.

I just started watching house of cards.

Very good drama, esp if you are into how the whole politics throw down.

House of Cards is amazing. The only problem with the Netflix originals is that you watch the whole season in like 3 days and have to wait forever for the next season.

Can't wait for new Game of Thrones...
2133  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion - New Poll, Italy! on: September 05, 2014, 12:23:58 AM
United just got Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco and Welbeck is going to Arsenal.

Which is the better move?

Falcao to United shows how desperate they are for offensive production. You would think Van Persie and Rooney would be enough.

He will be a scoring force in the premier league

Now this would be killer for a party 99 packs of beer holy sheep shit! Takes 2 people to carry WTF!

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/08/26/austin-brewery-rolls-out-pack-beer/

Why don't you just make your own beer rather than dropping $100 on beer?

If you live at a reasonable house (read, not in a shitty condo with your parents) it's really easy.

Because it's 100x easier to just buy beer

2136  Economy / Gambling / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup - Who's in? on: August 30, 2014, 10:42:37 PM
FIBA just isn't that popular here in the US. We only really try for the Olympics. The US team has no real superstars besides a recovering D Rose. Not a good indicator of our dominance.

That being said it is still a fun event to bet on

Champions League group stage:

Group D seems the most difficult to advance.

Hope to see Bayern go far this year

This reminds of Would You Rather Bang? scenarios but you would have to choose option 1 unless you're a selfish prick

bruno, i used to like you, but now you have started moving down the path of the troll rather then providing good services to the community. please bring back your rational mindset

Maybe I was going a tad nuts after seeing my trust thingy at -6 and trade with caution bullshit everyday. But, I just learnt to adjust it from level 3 to level 2  and no longer see, the same that anybody else would see it (I believe) if they came here from the wild.

You show +0/+0 with people who have DefaultTrust. The feedbacks you have are all untrusted.
2140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you able to read the mind of your GF? on: August 29, 2014, 08:21:57 AM
I am sharing few simple thing that can help you to read your love's mind below
During you explanation or conversation with her when she stares at u having her eyes full of questions, then please understand that she is feeling insecure that if you will remain with him and yes then how long you will remain with her.
If She answers the she is fine after some incidences or arguments and in next few seconds then please understand that she is in deep pain and disturbed

Having a tough time deciphering this. If she answers she's fine, all shit's about to break loose?
