2101  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - Sportsbook & Exchange - NFL SURVIVOR POOL on: September 07, 2014, 05:09:27 PM
Site lags really bad close to start time of matches.

Missed so many NFL games this morning because I would click a match and it would never show up in my betslip.

Super inconvenient
2102  Economy / Economics / Re: Death of Bitcoins made by Apple? on: September 07, 2014, 07:49:18 AM
The idea of paying with verification via fingerprint is cool but I don't think it will interfere with Bitcoin's goals. They are completely different in application
2103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: OBAMA PARALYZED BY MUSLIM SYMPATHIES on: September 07, 2014, 07:43:21 AM
What a whack article. Anything to paint Obama in a negative light from the right side.

Where are examples of this Islamic sympathies?

Not wanting to put boots on the ground? Or the multitude of air strikes he's approved against ISIS.

I don't even like Obama but these articles are retarded
2104  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Convicted Drug Trafficker Crossed Border - At least 7 Times on: September 07, 2014, 07:38:10 AM

MCALLEN, TEXAS — A Mexican national who crossed into the country with various types of drugs, at least seven different times, pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking charges.

Ricardo Garza Ramirez pleaded guilty to drug conspiracy just moments before his trial was about to start before U.S. District Judge Micaela Alvarez.
Garza, 55, is due back in court in November where he faces a possible life term in prison for the charge.

Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas establish federal agents were tipped off to Garza’s BMW sedan in January by a smuggler they caught with more than 30 pounds of marijuana. The smuggler said he had been driving in tandem with a Ford Escort, which the agents were able to identify.

As part of their investigation, the agents learned that the Ford Escort had also been working with a BMW sedan, which the agents spotted on June 17 and stopped. Inside the vehicle the agents found more than 30 pounds of cocaine that had been hidden.

Now, pretend that a terrorist was doing this instead.
This is exactly why we need to keep our boarders more secure. If a drug smugger can cross our boarder multiple times then anyone can cross our boarder as they please (assuming they have the resources). If we are to protect ourselves from terrorists (who are generally well funded and have lots of resources) then we need to make sure that people who are not authorized to enter our country do not enter our country.

They aren't the brown terrorists so therefore not much to worry about
2105  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obamacare Site Hacked on: September 07, 2014, 07:36:53 AM
The hysterical reaction here really shows that a lot of people have no idea about how things work in data security.  Hackers make inroads to servers every day - literally. The e is absolutely no such thing as a 100% secure computer. And within networks, there are multiple levels of security. Forward facing servers - the ones you actually connect to when you go to a web site - are placed in what's called a DMZ.  Servers in there are known to be vulnerable to attack - they are less protected by security than other servers that actually contain sensitive data.  The main servers that house sensitive data are deeper in the network, with no direct access from the internet.  And you really can't access their data "through" a DMZ web server. That's not how it works. a Hacker would have to actually take control of the web server to use it's connection to the inside to communicate with the more secure servers. And even then, they'd have to hack the security in THOSE links as well, and somehow bypass the Intruder Detection Systems to access sensitive data. This did not happen. What happened here is that the system worked - a hacker found a vulnerability (and there will ALWAYS be vulnerabilities) in a forward facing web server. The hack was discovered two weeks ago - and it went no further than the web server itself.  The hack was discovered, and it was dealt with. That's how data security works. We hack our own systems - both in test labs and in the wild, always searching for new vulnerabilities. And they always exist on some level. Data security is not about being totally unbreachable, it's about a balance between that and reaction time to breaches. In this case, a hacker got some malicious code onto a web server. The hack was discovered, no data was at risk and the breach was mitigated. The system worked.

But but but this is another opportunity to attack Obama? I wanted to jump on the bandwagon Undecided

People would rather hate than know the facts
2106  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iraqi man escapes ISIS mass execution and lives to tell the tale on: September 06, 2014, 08:12:54 PM
I am having some doubts about the whole incident. How the ISIS was able to separate the Shiites from the Sunnis? Both are the same people, speaking the same language. More likely, they rounded up all the captured Iraqi soldiers and then shot them dead. Most of them might have been Shiites, but some might have been Sunni Arab or Kurd.

They ask them specific questions. If they even hesitate, ISIS will shoot them. There is a video where they are asking three truck drivers if they are sunni or Shiite. They claimed sunni and then started asking questions. They slightly disagree about the way they pray and ISIS shot them all.

That usually would mean they were one of the early adopters with millions of $ worth of Bitcoin and wouldn't see any reason to ever scam.

That is really not the case.

Stunna has the most positive trust rating I believe.
2108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Multiplayer Tanks Game [Vote for this project] on: September 06, 2014, 12:22:03 PM
Can you buy upgrades for the tanks? Is the game pure luck or is there skill involved?

Any game involving bitcoins can be interesting  Tongue

100% skill involved. You have to destroy the other players tanks to grab their bitcoins.

In that case it seems like a fun idea. I would deposit and play if the game becomes active.
2109  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: is satoshiponzi.com real? on: September 06, 2014, 12:20:32 PM
Ponzis are unsustainable.

Yes, one or two users may get paid but a multitude of others WILL GET SCAMMED.

They are hoping that the individuals that do get paid will spread the word so that more and more people will deposit. The problem is they can't pay everyone. Very high risk.

Placed two bets on the Pirates/Cubs game during the 3rd inning or so. The game was suspended due to rain but I have not received my funds back?

Game is being completed tomorrow at 3.

That's great but my other books cancelled my bets relating to that game. I didn't read the rule about holding my funds if the game is suspended. Don't really like my bitcoin being tied up like that.
2114  Other / Politics & Society / Re: *** "Wall Street Declares Victory Against the American People" *** on: September 06, 2014, 04:50:20 AM
Big money and marketing are no longer an effective tool to win an election.

Yeah... that's why ever more independents not affiliated with major political parties that can provide election funding are winning elections... not.

Independents are not winning because voters turn out rate is low. Most independent voters sit at home and complain rather than going out and do something about it.

Similarly, people don't think independent candidates can win and don't vote for them. They constantly state US is a two-party system but with enough support there could easily be a third party.

DIWANIYA, Iraq — Ali Hussein Kadhim, an Iraqi soldier and a Shiite, was captured with hundreds of other soldiers by Sunni militants in June and taken to the grounds of a palace complex in Tikrit where Saddam Hussein once lived.

The militants, with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, separated the men by sect. The Sunnis were allowed to repent for their service to the government. The Shiites were marked for death, and lined up in groups.

Mr. Kadhim was No. 4 in his line.

Why is it immoral? Killing an innocent child is immoral. Dawkins should fill up an ISIS application form

Unfair for the child. He will suffer for the rest of his/her life

How is the child suffering?
2117  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do You Like World of Warcraft? on: September 06, 2014, 02:22:02 AM
I just started playing WoW. I like the game so far although I feel lost most of the time. Do you like the game and why?

Also, I seen the new world of warcraft warlord of draenor is on preorder at g2a.com. I just might buy it. I don't know yet. I am still trying to learn the game.

That's crazy that WoW still has brand new users joining the game.

I played during the original and Burning Crusades expansion. It probably is one of the most fun games ever but also the most addicting.  There is always something left to do. Even after you level to the max, it opens up a whole new world to explore.

If I still had time like I used to I would  still play but like a user above said, it sucks the life out of you if you let it  Tongue
