Just thought I'd rant again because it's got really warm ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) What is your opinion of climate change? lol I should know better than to respond to people on my ignore list but you know the difference between climate change and global warming right? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Hell, the other day I read an article on how Antarctica once had a climate similar to California, and not once was plate tectonics mentioned.

I'm curious as to how this thread was moved from Discussion to Off-topic sans the usual link in Discussion when such is implemented.
It further amazes me how a staunch advocate of Bitcoin that had his 1,132 BTC stolen by a mod of this forum
What mod stole all that BTC off you? davout, as mention in the OP of this thread. He was trying to be clever last year when he announced that he would be outta pocket during the time frame that InstaWallet was "hacked".

Who told you bitcoin is 1k ?
Does it make a difference as it is bad information? Bad information dones make difference , doesn't it ? Sometimes a bad information imo might be good in yours. Isn't? But false price rise of Bitcoin information is bad for every bitcoiner ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) , isn't it The last two posts are not...I repeat...are not playing by the spirit of this thread's title?

It further amazes me how a staunch advocate of Bitcoin that had his 1,132 BTC stolen by a mod of this forum can be banned for trolling sans a warning, while a paedo- tries to purchase Mt Gox for...wait for it...1 BTC, and has a vested interest in KnC's Bitcoin farm consisting of 7,000 miners, negating their vision statement of protecting their customer's investment via limiting the product line so not to increase the difficulty (paraphrased).
Hell, I would be in better position if I owned a bitcoin mining pool and sold it for, let's say $100K, but failed to disclose such to my customers two years after the fact and only discovered recently due to the Freedom of Information Act. That would eclipse all, don't you think?
Then again, perhaps I'm just a nut-job and what nut and should be on your ignore list.

No problem Goat.
I personally would have less satire in it and more professionalism.
Still a great idea, I like where you are headed.
Take er easy sir.
I disagree! The professionalism is in the satire, especially if it's packaged correctly. Leave the serious to the likes of Jared Kenna as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4VKByTz3HA. To be fair, I've been hyper-critical of Jared in the pass with his TradeHill concern, but have to admit that he's doing an excellent job with Money & Tech.

Reminds me of the 1980's cable access shows. Fun times. I suggest keeping the talent but pitching the format. Interviews are always good and can be prerecorded. She's great at the desk, but needs more camera angles. Have her use props, not comedy sketches to make a point. Use cgi if you have the budget. She's a peach, but if she wants to be funny, she'll have to be edgy and I don't think you'll want that. Clever suits her personality better.
Hell, how about adding an up-skirt cam, but she's always wearing pants/slacks?

Also I guess I should say that the target market for this is people who are not into BTC. It is for people who know little to nothing about crypto.
We are doing this on a very very low budget as this is pretty much all out of my pocket. If this does work out, and we get either adverts or more people willing to fund the project we will get better stuff.
The mic is something we know we have to work on, and will have that fixed for next week.
Thanks for your input.
Parodically (thought I just made that up till I Googled it) speaking, what if some dude with his pet goat drove up to locations to conduct ad hoc Bitcoin related interviews in a yellow Lamborghini, stumbling throughout each and every attempt, always mumbling quasi-aside (once per interview) how s/he wishes they weren't so budget-limited? Seriously (albeit an argument could be made that the above spot would work), as a pilot it was pretty good, hence liking, and only seeing it becoming better with subsequent episodes as more characters are introduced. Speaking of characters, I know this pink-tutu-donning dude that may fit right it as a recurring character going by the moniker Bitcoin Detective Gage (or similar). BDG would broadcast from a remote location (a barn comes to mind), and through his Google-fu expertise he tracks down various ongoing Bitcon related scams. The first couple/three links he provides (and reads somewhat normally) are spot on, but soon, unbeknownst to him, he vectors off in the wrong direction showing links and reading them with a stronger and stronger conviction, finally proving beyond a shadow of doubt - in his mind - that he nailed the bastards, all the while caressing some nearby goat in the barn while sitting at a primitively made farm table acting as a desk. At the conclusion of the exposés, Laura Saggers is always flabbergasted, thanking BDG for the report and stating that she looks forward to the follow-up. BDG thanks her and closes with, "Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending" echoing the words screen printed on his signature t-shirt(s). As you can imagine, fodder for the above would be made available from various sources of the Bitcoin community on a regular basis, thus the initial material (first couple/three links) virtually writes itself, with only a little effort on my (if it were me ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ) part to add the Google-fu humor content. Did I mention that the dude I have in mind used to perform in Nashville and has been on stage ~300 times in the capacity of hosting Writers Nights, along with doing comedy and poetry in the same city? Dude also has access to a barn to act as the backdrop for the remote location somewhere in/near Sandwich, Illinois. To be clear, the premise of the BDG character is to introduce to the viewing audience the latest scams/events surrounding Bitcoin without going into too much detail, thus allowing the viewer to conduct their own due diligence. The humor is thrown in to lighten the impact somewhat. Eventually, dude could conduct live(?) interviews with perpetrators he captured and is holding in the barn, threatening them with "bringing out the Gimp" if they don't confess. Also, BDG a la Barney Fife, tries out the latest tech gadgets to track individuals or undisclosed locations. Case in point, he's seen placing a GPS device under a car to find BFL's secret mining farm, but puts the device under the wrong car, tracking it to a fur con, of which he enters the locale live(?) revealing to the Bitcoin community his greatest find. After about a dozen episodes, he starts to investigate the Bitcoin Today show (tongue-in-cheek, of course - seriously!). Hell, dude would come off as such a nut-job, especially when he goes as far as investigating himself, culminating to a split-screen of him trying to get his counterpart to confess to whatever otherwise it's bring-out-the-Gimp time, also played by a third iteration of dude. If you think the above is funny, wait till you read/see what I've yet to come up with. ~TMI BTCITW

Fresh off from being banned a week from this forum for what was considered trolling. I guess trolling equals going on a diatribe (post after post after post, etc.) attacking one entity, namely AMT, of which, BTW, is doing exactly as I predicted prior to being banned - virtually nothing. Weird, ain't it? A guy gets banned for bringing awareness to an entity ripping off millions of dollars. But, at least I got to do some reading while on hiatus. http://web.archive.org/web/20080117004139/http://radaronline.com/from-the-magazine/2007/11/den_chads_world_marc_collins_rector_1.phpOne of the alleged victims was identified as Mike E. The slim, dark-haired 14-year-old, who attended a small private high school in the Valley, befriended Chad's brother Scott, who led him to DEN. Mike had an interest in acting, so when Collins-Rector outlined the possibilities for stardom offered by the site, the boy began spending time at the mansion, where there was one key rule. He recalls: "If you were going to sleep over, you had to get into either the pool or the hot tub—and you had to be naked to do so." In an exclusive interview, Mike E. confirms having been forced to engage in anal and oral intercourse with Collins-Rector, Shackley, and Pierce while under the influence of drugs that he claims were fed to him without his knowledge. At the same time, he says, Collins-Rector and Shackley were pushing him to become a legally emancipated minor. Although Ronald Palmieri, Collins-Rector's lawyer at the time, dismisses the allegations, saying, "There was never any such discussion that I know of," Radar has obtained correspondence sent by Shackley to Palmieri's law office requesting an update on the status of Mike E.'s emancipation filing. Here's a story from the same source, but one had to be redacted due to a lawyer's request. Thankfully, The Way Back Machine archived the original. I suggest reading/comparing both to get the full picture. Editor’s Note: At the request of Brock Pierce’s attorneys, this article has been edited to remove three passages summarizing portions of the now-sealed complaint. Although the complaint was filed June 11 and publicly available for more than three months before Pierce’s attorneys had it sealed, it was eventually sealed, and they have provided an order signed by the judge that establishes this. http://virtuallyblind.com/2008/01/30/ige-pierce-debonneville-complaint/http://web.archive.org/web/20080202014535/http://virtuallyblind.com/2008/01/30/ige-pierce-debonneville-complaint/For those into not-so-light-reading, I suggest: The Decline and Fall of an Ultra Rich Online Gaming EmpirePierce was 19 at the time and hardly the first young American male to step away from the sometimes painful light of reality for an extended, free-falling obsession with an online fantasy videogame. But it’s safe to say that the reality he was shrinking from in 2000 was not that of a typical teen. At 16, Pierce had retired from a career as a modestly successful Hollywood child actor; by 18 he was a dazzlingly successful dotcom entrepreneur, living large on a $250,000 executive salary and the promise of millions more in post-IPO equity. By his 19th birthday he had lost it all. Pierce’s high-profile startup had flamed out in a blaze of scandal that included accusations of sex with minors, and he and his cofounders had found it prudent to leave the US. He lived now in a rented house in a strange country, on the dwindling remains of a crash-ravaged stock portfolio. All the above is on the heels of what was in the news yesterday: Man accusing 'X-Men' director of sex abuse sues more Hollywood execsLuckily for those who love Bitcoin, like my self, names mentioned in the articles I linked above are trying to save our beloved Mt Gox: U.S. investor says creditors support Mt. Gox buyoutAccording to three people close to the matter, Sunlot, which is led by bitcoin entrepreneur Brock Pierce and includes venture capitalists Matthew Roszak and William Quigley, has agreed to buy a 12% stake in Mt. Gox from founder Jed McCaleb, who sold the rest of the exchange to Chief Executive Mark Karpelès in 2011. Unfortunately, I feel that 1 BTC is too small an offer, thus I propose we double it to 2 BTC. Yes, it's a lot of money, but I further propose we amass the funds via a Group Buy. I further propose that we put Mt Gox in reliable hands (below) and move it to some other city like Pattaya, whereupon the results would be the same, but at least we'll get more entertainment value outta the endeavor. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fimg2.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20110629052348%2Fonlyonetv%2Fimages%2Fthumb%2F3%2F3e%2F259487_10150234164726962_687766961_7893499_1815476_o.jpg%2F180px-259487_10150234164726962_687766961_7893499_1815476_o.jpg&t=664&c=E5RlaqOx5eugmg) Meanwhile, anybody having funds in Bitcoin-Central/Paymium, I strongly advise moving them out (if that's even possible), for I'm about to unleash a shit storm on their camp due to me still not getting a resolve for my 1,132 BTC stolen while supposedly in good hands over at InstaWallet, of which is own by the same clan, one of which is a moderator on this very forum, namely davout a.k.a. David François. Sadly, Gonzague Grandval not once commented during the entire InstaWallet episode in spite of him being an active member on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=56121. Quite frankly, I'm done with fuckin' around, and I'm 100% positive that Paymium doesn't want ANY governing authorities looking into their books via a thorough audit, and I'm not talking about an audit like the principles of InstaWallet claimed to have performed after the supposed "hacked" over a year ago that they have yet to name who conducted said audit even after 100's of requests to provide said information. To be clear, I'm talking about Bitcoin-Central conducting money laundering between the various entities under the Paymium umbrella. I'm pretty sure that ANY notable Bitcoiner involved in ANY capacity would not like their good name to be associated with Paymium when shit hits the fan, especially with Mt Gox and our friend (seriously, for I truly like the dude) Charlie Shrem still fresh on everybody's mind. Heaven forbid if Newsweek gets wind of the story. Remember, Bitcoin-Central is backed by a "bank". ~Bruno Kucinskas

Advanced Mining Technology: Bitcoin Miner Manufacturer Litigation
Practice: Consumer Protection Phase: Current AMT customers seek damages in a lawsuit filed in Federal Court in Philadelphia against AMT for its failure to deliver purchased bitcoin miners and failure to issue refunds causing the customers millions in damages.
Chimicles & Tikellis LLP has initiated a nationwide class action lawsuit on behalf of customers of Advanced Mining Technology, Inc. (a/k/a Advanced Mining Technologies, Inc.)(“AMT”). Named as defendants in the lawsuit are AMT and two of its founders, owners and/or employees, Joshua Zipkin and Jim Brown. The case is captioned: Craig Lenell et al. v. Advanced Mining Technology Inc. (a/k/a Advanced Mining Technologies Inc.) et al., Case No. 2:14-cv-01924 (U.S.D.C. ED. PA).
AMT, which is located in Haverford, PA, holds itself out as a manufacturer of specialized technology equipment used to mine bitcoins, a type of cryptocurreny, or virtual currency. AMT purports to manufacture and sell a line of high-speed bitcoin miners that range in price from approximately $1,500 to $15,000. The “mining” of bitcoins is an increasingly competitive and time-sensitive process by which computer hardware is used to obtain bitcoins by solving complex mathematical algorithms. The Complaint alleges that because these algorithms become progressively more difficult over time.
In their Complaint, Plaintiffs Jared Pela, Craig Lenell and Thomas Urbanek allege they and hundreds of other AMT customers ordered and paid for bitcoin miners which they never received from AMT. After weeks and months of undue delay, Plaintiffs unsuccessfully attempted to cancel their orders and get refunds. As a result, Plaintiffs allege economic damages including, but not limited to, loss of the purchase price and the lost opportunity to mine bitcoins.
According to the Complaint, AMT’s alleged conduct amounted to unfair, deceptive and fraudulent business practices, a breach of contract, a breach of express warranty, common law fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing, unjust enrichment, and violations of various state consumer protection laws. The Complaint alleges that by concealing material facts and making false and misleading statements, AMT was able to wrongfully acquire millions of dollars from customers since mid-2013.
If you are interested in discussing your rights as an AMT customer and/or have information relating to the matter, please contact Chimicles & Tikellis by clicking the “Email us about this Case” form, below. Is there any way to revoke Joshua Zipkin's passport so that he can't leave the country?

I joined the class action, on the basis of failed MPP fulfillment and the $160 shipping refund they owe me. That is the way to go! For other folks Keep your dignity guy's and make them pay! My dignity ended within two minutes of seating on the couch in front of Joshua Zipkin's desk while he was giving me the first degree for single-handedly destroying AMT's brand, realizing that he wasn't going to honor the 20 BTC bounty he put on my ass to travel West to East to collect, reneging on, thus the JEW will now pay! BTW, there are Jews and then there are JEWS, of which Joshua Zipkin is one of the latter (not-keeping-my-dignity speaking). i knew it was you who killed their business. LOL!!! couldn't be the late deliveries, lack of customer service or shoddily assembled products. Most definitely a case of shooting the messenger ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi388.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Foo323%2Fbubbanomics%2Fwtf%2Fabbott-lou-costello-ive-been-a-bad-boy.jpg&t=664&c=8JWGYl2vPZe0OQ)

How comes I have missed this company.
Is it legit or a scam? :-)
For what it's worth, you don't see me in here dissing the shit outta them, do you? I posted a couple times, or so, and I'm at ease after they addressed my concerns with kid's gloves as they are suppose to. Either they are extremely viable or are doing a great job if it's a well-orchestrated "long con". Either way, bravo! (not meant as a diss) Also, I'm pretty sure I'm the one that suggested the down payment option prior to anybody else, of which is now implemented. The scuttlebutt from somebody who's been to their office there near the Gaza Strip with the two abandoned buses out front, assures me that they're the real McCoy, in spite of not having an office comparable to some ritzy place. (again, not a diss, but letting you and them know that I'm keeping a pretty good eye on them) ~Bruno Kucinskas
