A quick note to let everybody know that I'm okay. I just woke up, having gotten in late from AMT's office. Have to checkout of this hotel soon, so at this penning I'm not sure what I may able to reply to. Apologies for not being too specific, but wanted to give a courtesy shout to take into considerations of any concerns one may have.

Also, I have a 1.2 THs in hand if anybody is interested in buying it from me. Ideally, I would like drop it off to anybody's location on my drive home to Illinois. I'm meeting up with Rassah later today in Baltimore if anybody is near that locale. Just PM or call me with your kind offer. 815-508-1668.

Bitcointalk was acting sluggish, but seems to be up to snuff now. I did receive another courtesy PM from them expressing an apology for running late due to working late at their assembly facility. They should be here momentarily, thus nothing yet, but good news nonetheless, for they're communicating and seem to be busting their balls to satisfy outstanding orders.

Getting back on the road now, heading toward AMT. I'm on the other side of the state. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to meetup with Rassah in Baltimore, but nobody tell him that yet. It's a secret.  Roll Eyes
2544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Dying, And why it is different this time. on: March 27, 2014, 01:04:45 PM
Where is why?

The answer is in there and can never be direct. The human Psyche strives to not be told what is black and what is white.

Now I get it! Goats dive Lambos, ergo I need to buy and sell at the same time. Fuck me! I'm going to be rich.

Fuck me! It's now impossible for me to spend the dollars I earn due to capital gains tax on the barn wood I sell at a 500% (sometimes more) markup. If only there were a way for me to fudge the numbers.

On the other side of the state, got behind from forgetting about the time change and my phone didn't reset. Also, a powerline was on the tollroad due to an accident on the overpass. Lost almost an hour there. Then had to stop to take two shits from something I ate. In fact, I'm in McDonalds now typing this on my laptop on my...wait for it...lap, while taking a shit.

Have already sent AMT a courtesy PM to let them know that I won't make it till tomorrow. I'm going to drive a tad more till I get tired. Unless I opt for one of those 5 hour energy thingies, but now sure if they are effective or not.

Making room for the pineapple? Tongue (You typed that with your chub... didn't you. xD Don't lie!)

So... You going to get a miner with that BTC, or just use that to off-set come of your lost/stolen BTC from your past?

Hope you donate some to your cancer organization thing.

P.S. While you are there... Assemble some miners! (Since they never replied back to me.)

Note to self: Tape camera hole on laptop and quit calling it Mr. Chum out loud in case the mike is on.

In hotel in PA, but still a few hours out from AMT. Will be there tomorrow. Ate at Ruby Tuesday, but prefer Texas Road House. Ribeye and shrimp were delicious.

I'm still waiting for The Tutu Project to get back with me. There is $1,000 USD via BTC and 10 BTC from some other Bitcoiner that will be donated once they embed. It's not like they're the main breast cancer charity site. They're just a glorified liaison, for lack of a better term. They're also are good people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y91g67ctQKY

Do we know if Phin is alright?

i just spoke with phin 15 minutes ago. He is fine.

Is he happy ?

Lol. I think a better question would be is he there and what's going on

I'm confused. All we needed to see was a few good pictures, but instead they have to pay someone to go there. I assume they will make him verify his account here by logging in, at which time they will be abducting him and posting that it is all ok from his account. Bruno, you really shouldn't go alone. The way they have talked to people here, I really wouldn't doubt that they are capable of things like this. Not sure why though, they already have plenty of stolen money. Maybe once he is under their control, they will post a new sale and try to scam a few million more.

Now, you're spooking me. I have no problem with being abducted and fitted me with concrete boots, but if they take control of my account after I login in front of them, that would get me upset. On second thought, wouldn't having ownership of this account be seen as a punishment?  Grin  Grin  Grin

But in following the clues that led me to Finney, I found something equally significant: a dying man who had been something like a far-more-brilliant Forrest Gump of cryptographic history: a witness to and participant in practically every important moment in the recent history of secret-keeping technologies. From the development of the first widely used strong encryption software known as PGP, to early anonymity systems, to the first Bitcoin transaction, Finney was there.

2554  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS Releases Tax Rules on BTC on: March 26, 2014, 05:01:55 AM
So, if I mined through 2013 at an average price of say $200/btc and put my coins on gox, then lost them with gox's closure when the price was ~$500 then...

I pay income tax on the $200/btc mined coins - my mining equipment and electricity expenses

Can I then claim property loss at the price when gox closed?

Dear IRS,

I have X coins stored on Mt Gox, and would love to pay my capital gains tax, but can't due to Mt Gox having all my records locked up.

Would you be so kind as to have a federal judge subpoena their records and let me know what I owe?

Bestest,

2556  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Überqöin on: March 26, 2014, 04:07:09 AM
Once developed, the Squire of Finland will be Holdaaja, a position I gave him in exchange for posting a link in his sig down the road, and ONLY when Überqöin has its beta release.

To be clear, in no way does this act as an endorsement from Holdaaja for Überqöin, but will use his pseudonym to act as the placeholder as Squire of Finland. If for some reason Holdaaja later changes his mind and no longer wants to have his name associated with Überqöin for whatever reason, then it will be removed and available for purchase for only $50 USD. Meanwhile, he could sell it himself for whatever until we get an official trading platform up and running on Überqöin.

I'm the one that initiated the offer to Holdaaja via one of his threads, whereupon we conducted a myriad PM exchanges.

For those still unsure as to what awards the Squire of Finland would be able to earn, Holdaaja would receive a 4% commission from all sales placed on Überqöin made by those living in Finland. Also, he would get a 2% commission from all sales from people who live in Finland but have their order ship elsewhere, or from anybody living elsewhere, but the order will be shipped to Finland.

Holdaaja will be able to put his position as Squire of Finland up for sale for no less than $50 USD via BTC up to the total amount of commissions he earned to date at time of its offering.

Any questions, please ask.

@Bruno
Are you headed out there? On a flight? Please send pics!!

Flight idea still pending. Ideally, I would rather return Thursday afternoon, for the Wednesday schedule is too tight for me for my liking, having nothing to do with on AMT's end. Just a personal thing. Shall, in re. pics.

Bruno,

In general the evening is better for us to meet at the office so it's great that you'll be coming around that time.  The flight scheduled that we proposed earlier flies same time on Thursday as well. If you're ok with that schedule, 1pm out 10pm in, we can go ahead and change the reservation to Thursday, so that you don't have to drive. Apologies for the delayed response, this was the first chance we had to see how this situation had developed. Glad you're coming, let us know about the flight.

I just sent you a PM prior to you knowing you were online.

I am driving. NOT FLYING. Or is it: "I AM DRIVING. Not flying."? Whatever.

Ideally, dinner together would be nice.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I'm glad I've joined. Like others, I've been scammed out of $6150 dollars. Like an arms race, I jumped on board and trusted in AMT to deliver. Well, they failed me and all of you. I too, along with my co-workers were contemplating taking a trip to AMT to get our money back, we're still undecided, however, $6150 is no small change. I've already filed with the BBB and the FBI and strongly suggest for all that have been scammed into this to file. The more voices heard, the faster they will work at resolving the case and prosecuting Josh. The longer we all wait, the more difficult it is to process. Lets all face it. No one is getting any hardware and most likely their money back. Josh travels back and forth to Bulgaria and with 7 million in the bank, who needs to come back to the US.

Whats your order number for it to be added to the unofficial list? More documentation the better.

Strange you posted once and all of a sudden now that its possible proof is coming. Quite the coincidence. That said if Phin doesn't make the trip because they backed down then yea I think as a community we move forward to take further action to get our cash back. If he doesn't because of his own volition...well we are pretty much at the same place we were before.

I for one just want to know whats going on over there and if our orders are arriving. As has been noted cant take them at their word. They haven't kept any of their promises to date to our knowledge. Let's see where this goes and hope we get some answers from the trip if he goes.

In route, driving oppose to flying, that way I'm able to kill several birds with one stone. I'm already behind, having left later than I was initially planning, then lost more time dropping off that barn door hardware order.

Currently in a hotel now due to get being tired and road worry. Started to see double and couldn't get my eyes focused, thus best to pull over.

Going to try my best to get to AMT's office by early evening tomorrow, for I still have ~600 miles to go, and I left out 5 hours ago from Sandwich, IL.

I'm now going to delete that page I created showing by IL DL and dad'a obit, etc. I have copies of them all on my laptop, of course, if they're ever needed again.

Thanks for the support all, along with the well-thought-out posts from the other side of the fence. Overall, the latter's not being to big an ass, and their opinion is welcome.

I honestly don't have any cause for alarm in meeting up with team AMT, as well they shouldn't with me. It's to everybody's concern that nothing but positive comes from this meetup.

With the exception of the bounty to offered to have me come to their office, AMT won't have to pay out any airfare or hotel expenses, or even dinner expense, if we go that route, for I'll gladly pick up the tab.
