Well if everyone keep saying it then it must be real.
It is not real.

2924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This might rocket Bitcoin to the moon, again.... on: March 09, 2014, 07:30:14 PM
But has the real super rich moved any meaningful assets into bitcoin yet? At a market cap of less than 10 billion dollars then it really hasnt been touched by those who have to get out of a country due to conflict or government clamp downs on the rich.

Rich people are smart enough with their money not to fall for the bit coin scam.

When people legitimately can trade bit coins without fear of losing them, and can actually cash them out instantly without worry, then the rich might get into it. No matter what bit coin is 'worth', it's impossible to get the value out of it right now. There should be a lot of stories such as 'I bought 1,000 bit coin at $200 on Tuesday and cashed out on Thursday at $300.' I made $100,000 in just 2 days! Here's a picture of my yacht! But no--- nobody does that. Everyone follows their paper values and can't cash out when they want to.

The rich know how to take a 0.10 stock, buy a lot of it, and sell it all for 0.20 later in the day. It doesn't matter what the value of the stock is, as long as it moves, and they can actually buy and sell within seconds many times a day, they will put their money in and out of it. It is IMPOSSIBLE to day trade large portions of bit coin the way the currency is in constant flux, and the way all the exchanges are scams run by 15-year old developers who think that just because they can code HTML and PHP that they know everything about security.

Bit Coin is just the next Beanie Babies - a 50 cent stuffed animal, that somehow had values up to $3,000. That market had a 3 year run-up to unbelievable values. People paid $300 to own a 50 cent stuffed animal, and actually thought that $300 was a good investment. And then suddenly, within a month, the market was gone. I heard the same people back then talking about how the Beanie Baby market would help them retire. They ended up being worthless. Only the few people who got out right before the bust made any money.

Bit Coin is right at this bust point. No 'currency' has ever existed to make people rich. That seems to be the only point of bit-coin - to make the early adopters rich, in the guise that this is a currency. Sigh. Get out now, you might be able to make something, but it's probably too late now.

It's Bitcoin! One word, not two.

Cages with upgradable slots.

This facility is in Bulgaria, as is Joshua Zipkin when he penned this post about 10AM local time.

Looks like Joshua Zipkin took down the video of him and Tyler Lummis https://plus.google.com/112246330529028182590/posts pouring cans of Mountain Dew into brand new cups in the aisles of Walmart in Nashville. No problem though, for if I look hard enough, I'm sure I can find a copy that maybe Tyler made, of whom now owns a hookah lounge in Ohio.

As far as deliveries the other delivery thread does show a few people have received their miners but considering there are thousands of orders all we know are the ones that post about it. But yea they havent actually delivered to a number of people here yet Feb deliveries are now obviously late. My understanding is that its also based on hardware shipments being late on the supply side (bitmine.ch) being late. Whatever the case those batches are late for some if not all those people who ordered. I don't imagine everyone jumping on here to check the status of their orders. So we are not going to see the whole picture either.

I concur! AMT probably had hundreds of other orders from the other places on the internet they hawked their ASIC-based bitcoin miners, ergo that's why so many bitcoiners on this forum have yet to receive theirs because they were further down the list due to not supporting a trustworthy Bulgarian early on.

Rest assure, everybody! All that ordered from AMT will get exactly what they deserve. BTW, my condolences.

phin, I just found this thread, and just briefly read the last 5- 10 pages. went to the website....came back here again.

So this is a scam huh??

No! No! The thread is real! In fact, the forum is real! Only the cake...

P.S. Should be hearing from AMT sometime today, about my possibility of joining the assembly-team. Crossing my fingers, crossing my legs, crossing my eyes and dotting my Tee's.

P.P.S. If I go there, I am going to work, not play investigator or be the messenger. However, I will see what I can do, within allowable limits, to ensure the members here are kept better up-to-date. They need hands, and I have hands... So this should work-out well for all of us. (Most of us.)

Genius idea,
What if we all take selfies of us with our computers and spam the thread and then maybe eventually AMT will do the same with the miners.

You're welcome.

can we do it naked

Knock yourself out. However, I don't think we need naked Josh with our miners. But that's just my .02 BTC

yea, A naked phineus might be a little over the top too. I guess I'll leave my clothes on. don't want to start a trend. Grin

Yes the Feb. orders are late as well as the Jan. and Dec. orders for their A1 machines. If they have been shipping these machine they are purposely skipping the numbers on the list and apparently shipping to people more enlightened than us>

We have gotten some updates here and there but the constant hostility makes it really difficult for anyone to really see them. If you search AMTs username should be easy enough to find the updates they have posted.

The "updates" are filled with lies.

Quote
400 - 500   before Feb 21
500 - 600   Feb 24,25, 26
600 - 700   Feb 26,27, 28
700 - 800   March 3, 4, 5
800 - 900   March 5, 6, 7

5 batches claimed to have shipped by now, yet not a single confirmed delivery.

Syke, go fuck yourself and stop spreading FUD. Many people on this thread are fucking minors, but because of that fucktard, Bruno Kusinkkaas, or however you spell his fucking name, that keeps coming here and posting shit, you may have a hard time finding said posts. Plus, that Gage dude is now taking valuable time away from our beloved pedo Joshua Zipkin, and he can't service as many minors daily because now he has to address dickhead's vitriol posts.

Apologies for any gramamaicalll errors, but I'm high a kite now, and this Bruno dude is going to die because of his actions. Mark my words.

Viva Bulgaria!

Let's all stay calm and wait for our miners.

What is you point?

My point is that most people claim him as a Mason or whatever..

Why doesn't someone close just jump down to AMT? I'm sure they'd let someone so that we can put this to rest.

AMT:
Would you be interested in doing some live stream or Skype for everyone to tune into to see the operation. Or at the very least pictures and the long awaited video of a hashing 1.2th miner.
Thanks!

Friendly bump so that this'll be seen at the top of a new page oppose to at the bottom of some other, cause I'm a nice guy.

I appreciate the gesture.  Grin

It was already checked out in this thread about 50 pages ago I think. There is video of it too. He went down the business physically and legally exists. They have shipped a product to some people apparently. So they are real enough at this point. So at this point we are just waiting for a product and maybe some more updates on when they will be shipped and all that stuff. We have gotten some updates here and there but the constant hostility makes it really difficult for anyone to really see them. If you search AMTs username should be easy enough to find the updates they have posted. They get drowned pretty quick by the haters tho. SO best to just look them up by username.

This is good enough of a place as any to finally getting around to post the following.

<because the thread is locked> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=113400.msg1272155#msg1272155 <both quotes are by Gavin Andresen, a guy I still desire to trust, but...>

RE: do I have gazillions of bitcoins:

I've said before that I have "thousands of bitcoins, not tens or hundreds of thousands of bitcoins." I have mined a grand total of 250 bitcoins-- electricity here is not particularly cheap, and I'm a software kind of guy, not a hardware hacker. So it always made more sense for me to buy bitcoins rather than mining them.

I would definitely be wealthier right now if I had been working as the CTO for a company for the last two years and had never heard of Bitcoin.

Holding the keys has also made early comers to Bitcoin wealthy beyond measure. "I made a small investment in Bitcoin and it is actually enough that I could now retire if I wanted to," Andresen says. "Overall, I've made about $800 per penny I've invested. It's insane."

Meanwhile, my 1,132 BTC is still being held hostage by InstaWallet, having been repaid last month ONLY the smaller of three wallets that I put in honest claims for--0.835 BTC--back in April, 2013. All the way up to the supposed hack, I championed InstaWallet, especially having been rest assured that all is well just two weeks prior to the thief. It excites me to learn that Paymium and Bitcoin-Central, of which is backed by a bank, are doing so well. So excited, excuse me while I go and jack off.

Also what happened to Theymos and upgrading the forum software with those $10 Million dollars donated to the forum???

Don't bother theymos right now! He's busy trying to figure out if the bounty should be $50K or $100K USD to have somebody create a program to make sure that accounts like this one don't get registered again: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=268947

I am not Dorian Nakamoto.

Sorry guys, I just... couldn't resist.

Normally, I don't troll people. Actually, I really hate trolling and being trolled.
And maybe that's even the very reason why I did these two posts.

But this post is intended to be more than just trolling, it is also educational.
Let's keep in mind that there are lots of people out there who don't want to do good:

Firstly, there are people who just think it's fun to confuse others.
Now, for a second, let's imagine how these people would feel like if they were offered the opportunity to trick others into thinking they are Satoshi?
They would really enjoy it! It's like being the king of all Bitcoin trolls, even if it's just for a second.

Secondly, there are people whose profession is to sniff into other people's communication links, and they cannot only read, but also write.
And you don't need to have a tinfoil hat to believe they're using this ability, they already admitted to it.

Thirdly, there are people who have ordinary access to the ning.com database, simply because it's their job.

I belong to one of these groups of people, or a combination thereof, and I have inserted the other post ("I am not Dorian Nakamoto.") into the ning.com database.
The only thing that I couldn't fake was the signature.

And this is why I said it's "educational":

You shouldn't believe anything without proof.
Especially, if it concerns such an important invention... which has many enemies.
Especially, if it is (or claims to be) from such an important person (or group of persons).
Especially, after such a long period of silence. Anything could have happened in the meanwhile.

Lessons learned?
Okay.

What happens next?
Needless to say, this account will be banned within seconds. I have full understanding for that.
But I really hope that this post can be retained because it intends to serve a good purpose: To educate people and sharpen their eyes.

Last but not least, let me drop these 256 bits here:
8bf0059274ca4df83675980c2be9204267bd8669ba7540b5faf2db5a8aa5d160

$5M USD in the coffer, and theymos can't have a simple program implemented to make sure such an account isn't created.

FUCKIN' MADNESS!

2940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A concerned Crypto-currency community member on: March 09, 2014, 07:21:22 AM
learning something new.

karpeles left france due to fraud, lost a fraud case in july 2013 and then the downward spiral of gox.. if only people know about the first two cases, they would have cashed out ages before

You would think, but when they're presented with proof of a Matt hawking Black Arrow miners that he's a liar, it's the baring of bad news that gets attacked, namely me. Same true for the Joshua Zipkins of the world. And the Long Dong Johnsons and Skropenises. And Jay Shores.

But, don't go around using a harmless word like NIGGER when it's refers to a cocksucker that beats up a ~100lb woman that's your niece, regardless of their race.

If you ain't figured it out yet, I'm one pissed off motherfucker. Last year I championed InstaWallet up to the hack, trusting them with my 1,132 BTC. To this motherfucking day, I've yet to be assured that I'm getting it back, having them return only the lesser 0.835 BTC to me, in spite of turning in three claims at the same time.

Hell, I can't even get the Bitcoiner that took a pic of the banner I invested ~$500 in, that didn't make it into the Super Bowl. to send me a single said pic, for she's was instructed to do whatever she wanted with the banner, including making a profit off of it.

One Bitcoiner who I donated serious bitcoins to is now sticking it up my ass because I'm stepping on his toes.

On top of all that, I seriously don't know what side of the fence I'm on concerning the who-is-the-real-Satoshi saga: Leah or Dorian.

I am not a very happy camper right now.
