Sigh. More FUD from you barabbas, and smears backed by nothing any more than your nebulous 'feelings' on the matter.

You 'bet?' well good for you. You're no better than Iconic or anyone else spreading FUD based on innuendo, character attacks and a lack of any actual, verifiable evidence. No matter how many times people counter your garbage with material evidence to the contrary, you continue to make posts backed by nothing more than your than your own spurious assumptions.

barabbas, I bestow upon you the 'Glenn Beck' award for 'truthiness.'

Bluster, conjecture and unfounded 'theories' seem to be your stock in trade. It's amazing you can talk so much, yet provide so little of substance for your claims.

Please, continue to offer your tinfoil 'theories,' everybody else is getting back to real work and actually making positive things happen.

yeah too bad we cant design a forum that is filtered by "proof of stupid" lol lots of people here just rambling when all they have to do is spend that energy getting more miners. Regardless man, everyone here needs to quit fighting and limit their posts to be positive and less theorizing.
2183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 03:59:34 AM
another reason for the drop was jealousy. Lots of people scrambled to make their own bc and have tried to copy the model... lol. And they try to delude the people buying it that its somehow unique or something. wc=badgercoin and asia=zimstake and cinni=jealousycoin. Once they tire themselves out they will realize that a copy is never as good as the original.
2184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 07, 2014, 03:56:05 AM
...in other news. Blackcoin is still top 10 and the multipool is doing lots of legwork to get 2.0 up and running and they are giving away a 10,000 dollar mining rig and they have hired a PR firm and they are going to wall street to advertise. So yeah. The coin is doing just fine. There is only like 20 different clones now. Almost every new coin that comes out copies BC. The thing that people fail to realize is, this coin is not a p+d there was simply a selloff that scared away some people and all we need to do is continue to make the coin and pool successful.

Simple.
2185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 04, 2014, 08:29:48 AM
one more thing to add on the marketing subject, the trolls that post here in opposition of this coin remind me of politics back in the day where politicians would dig up dirt on other people or make up scandals to detract their "believers" ... they even PAY for advertisements to that effect. Nowadays they use bots and shills. The same people will turn around and try to sell you their stupid clone coin that took them 30 minutes to create. Thank goodness that WC and AC have absolutely nothing to offer the crypto community. I will sell my BC when I actually see a coin worth getting out of bed for.

Happily, BC has a great brand i can see it going much futher than this. Certainly better than litecoin and for that matter Bitcoin. Working on my smart contracts stuff I can not tell you guys how frustrating Bitcoin is when dealing with "minimum" fees. They force you to pay a 5500 satoshi minimum!!! What the hell is that? If I have any reason to switch from Bitcoin its that reason alone. They will have to deal with large quantities of orders if they ever even dream of competing with mastercard or visa who process billions of transactions a day. So Bitcoin "devs" are really just the exact thing Bitcoin was trying to avoid which was centralization (forcing miners to collude and filter what transactions they approve or deny). If Blackcoin can circumvent "minimum" fees and bloat by pruning they would really go far beyond anyones wildest dreams. I hope the dev works on that. I would do it myself if my current project didnt have my 24 hour attention.

Its funny to hear so many people talk here and some are in support of / not in support of multipool/pr campaigns/pumps/videos/marketing etc.

Well I have only one thing to say about that: Marketing is REQUIRED to have a successful product. Its fucking REQUIRED. How do you think McDonalds or Coca Cola or even little companies like your local restaurants succeed?Huh Its with marketing. I used to work in Los Angeles for a marketing firm doing lots of commercials and whatnot. I can say with 100% certainty that this idea to market Blackcoin is excellent. I support any initiative for this.

As for the multipool. The multipool weather connected to the devs or not was clearly a brilliant idea. There is NO DOUBT IN MY MIND that Blackcoins success as a coin in the top 10 is for any other reason than that. Other coins have fast confirmations and interesting features but it was 3 things that made Blackcoin great. Its fast proof of Stake/multipool combo, its community which helped "market" it and the malleability patch.

I think anyone who thinks otherwise should go ahead and open a few books and read about famous companies and see how they made it. If you ever hear any ceo talk, you better bet that the thing he speaks the most about is his "brand". The ceo of kellogs does not talk about weather his food is the "healthiest" or "best". No he will talk about his "brand" and what their company has done to promote it.

Luckily for Blackcoin, there IS a multipool which helps support the coin. but even there, we will need to make sure that we always reach out to miners because even that requires branding.

The KNC mining competition is exactly what is causing the price increase. People are getting excited. its things like this that propel this coin. And as a community we must never stop finding new avenues to make miners happy and bring in new people. This coin needs hype just like any product needs marketing to keep it alive. If coca cola stopped marketing I guarantee you in 10 years they will not be around. People would say... cocawhat?

is the KNC miner competition still running?
2189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 01, 2014, 03:09:44 PM
Hey guys, what can we do to get more miners back to the multipool?

everyone should chip in for extra prizes. I can add 5000 bc to the prize pool if others are willing to add. If the community all chips in, they will compete for a higher hash rate. Our investment will easily pay for itself. Please start a thread in the reddit page. knc miner competition starts tomorrow.

im sure blackcoin devs will adapt however they have to for decentralized checkpoints or pruning. regardless wc is a clone and so is ac and you dont "throw the baby out with the bathwater" ... so any model based of bc will always be inferior to bc because its not original.

But bc isn't origin... oh forget it Cheesy

I know some good devs, experienced in ctryptos, that might be interested in doing a code review. Pm me if you want them to take a look, once you get the release out.

yes and no... bc has a maleability patch that is useful... the fast confirmations are nice and very conducive for micropayments and arbitrage... that part is not original but important. And pruning will solve bloat i think. I also proposed a sort of proof of balance and not sure if its been suggested before. Most importantly their pow+pos indirect mining using multipools was original. They were the first full proof of stake coin to mine itself. All evident from its rise. Seriously though litecoin is a dinosaur that will get crushed my indirect mining and multipools. Blackcoin carried the torch on that one.

Anyways... yeah I will post here on Bitcointalk and on as many threads as i can. I want it translated into chinese too! hahaha I know they will love it since its bye bye fud. So much to do, so little time! I will need devs on my team to and I have a feeling once people see my software they will run wild with it. I am making 1.0 open source so yeah... it shoud shake things up like darkwallet Cheesy

in reply to the person trolling the stake photo, centralized checkpointing is not really needed at this time anyway. How would somebody be able to stake 51% if you look at the distributing nobody even has .5% of the coins. Its completely impossible.

Don't the top 3-4 accounts have 3million (4% ish) each? Someone has a link showing the top 100 accounts.

Anyway, do you know when your trustless escrows will be released for beta? It would be worth a look Grin

Yes! I am releasing very very soon. Working day and night. 1.0 is for Bitcoin and will immediately start on one for blackcoin among other exciting things.
Right now i am just finishing up. There is lots of variables so I am going through and checking them all. 1.0 will be an unofficial release actually although I am going to want an audit from good programmers and people who want to start testing transactions and contracts
2193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: May 01, 2014, 01:12:28 AM
Blackcoins checkpoint system was removed and nobody noticed? LMAO

Try again troll, not enough prople here will know what the implications are Cheesy

Haha, not my fault if everyone can't fathom the insecurities of PoS.

Hmm all it takes is about 3 of the top holders to stake and your point is totally fail. Go troll AC or WC fool.

Iconic is right, price can and should be able to hit what he says, cause he's thinking outside the box and community. If we are trying to take the money invested away from BTC to be #1 that will be a hard battle, but if we move outside our comfort zone, get marketing to people that could be interested in cryptos but have hard time figuring out how to purchase, or get some. We need to make it easy, easy as going to amazon and ordering a book or movie, and payment as easy as credit card/debit card transactions.

Purchasing altcoins will never be easy as going online with a credit card. It's the nature of cryptocurrency. Easy methods put the seller at major risk of fraud. AML and KYC laws also make it difficult to deposit and withdraw.

I had to respond to this. I am developing a program that will eliminate fraud between two untrusted parties. It was supposed to be out this week but i was writing whitepaper. So yeah... buying online will become a thing of the past. Soon bc will be bought with cash using untrusted parties.

Its a very exciting project so happy about it i could seriously jump

Elaborate! What solution do you have that millions of people have failed to come up with?

well its actually very simple. Its a protocol of exchanging raw tx data. Malleability is not a problem in my protocol I could explain it if you want to see the whitepaper i can send it. The announcement is a suprise. I have mentioned it multiple times in this thread. Just making everything nice with all the bells and whistles. Cheesy

i think its funny that people are trying to supress the price of BC... the volume drop will not last once the competition starts on friday for the knc miner... ac and wc clones will get dumped like a cheap whore and people will realize they made a mistake

So i made this blackcoin pr document:

Download and use it at free will.
pfd file: http://www.sendspace.com/file/5el7y6 (front & back)

jpeg front example:

You have to mention the multipool buying itself. That concept changed crypto and got blackcoin cloned 10 times.

Can someone explain me how these Multipools work?

They mine other coins and then they buy BlackCoins with the other mined coins right?

How do they buy BlackCoins? Do they put Buy Orders or they go directly to the sell orders?

Whats the buy volume of all pools like this, lets say peer week?

I'm thinking.. If they go always to the sell orders and the buy volume is high, then we will have a BlackCoin infinite increase in value... ? Smiley

Any place where I can verify the volume of these pools, and how many pools exist?

I will reply on what I know ...

They mine other coins and then they buy BlackCoins with the other mined coins right?
Right

How do they buy BlackCoins? Do they put Buy Orders or they go directly to the sell orders?
They do not share this information. Logical, because the market should not know what you plan to do.

Whats the buy volume of all pools like this, lets say peer week?
Well, now I do not think that it is too much since the biggest multipool was DDoSed and started again to attract miners since yesterday. If I remember correctly, in its previous peak, multipool had something like 50 BTC per day.

I'm thinking.. If they go always to the sell orders and the buy volume is high, then we will have a BlackCoin infinite increase in value... ? Smiley
Good point, but it depends very much on the price and on the hashing power. I mean, If the price goes 10 times up in 1 week, it is difficult to attract 10 times more hashing power in 1 week only.

Any place where I can verify the volume of these pools, and how many pools exist?
I know for sure
http://blackcoinpool.com
http://www.cryptoalts.com/
and I think that https://hashco.ws/ offers the possibility to get paid in BC.

That's all I know and I can remember ...

Actually I discussed the answer to this many times on this thread. It doesnt matter what the hash rate is. In theory, if the miners hold they will eventually raise the price past bitcoin. In one year at current prices they buy 100% of the market (Based on hash rate)... if the price doubles you can expect more miners respectively. And so on. Even if there is a few miners and the price does not rise they miners will tighten the volume sooner or later. Even at 500MHASH if the price stays here thats good because it accelerates the speed in which they buy up the market. Near the end, the miners owning even 50% of the market in 6 months should cause the price to explode. The liquidity would exist and the demand would remain. So the price will spike.

The only thing is... miners need to know this and they should hold.

MINE AND HOLD
2200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum, MaidSafe, NXT, anything else worth investing in, in 2014? on: April 28, 2014, 08:11:43 AM
This is too weird. I got excited when I saw it debut but I think it was a mistake. Who the hell has 99% of the coins??? Why would the devs make a meshnet and then keep is value from the world?? Its worse than ripple. The way to do it, it to give 100% of the coins to the people. Otherwise this is just like tor but with distibuted hosting. Its a great idea but I think the devs are motivated by greed. No wonder to volume is so low.
