David can you update us how last week changed the roadmap?, is everything still in place and is there something we can do?

Cheerio

Yeah, my coders are switching to more simple tasks like getting Mac and Linux distributables. I'm now coding markets myself and may be streamlining the process directly to the decentralized model. And will be coding that.

A major update is coming soon on BlackHalo and BitHalo. So that will mean an update for BitBay too. This you can expect within a couple weeks.

The drama, the fact that nobody ever tried that hard to get me a staff (why would they when they were trying to screw everyone) has set me back a bit.

So, for now, i just code markets on my own. Its not a hard job. Pegging is more tricky because its a protocol change, its new mining rules and Bitcoin is a bit hard to follow business logic mixed with other logic. Regardless we will get er done be patient.

What can the community do?
Find me a coder who is not busy doing 100 things who knows assembly, c++, python, and has at least 10+ years experience who is not going to gouge us hard on the price. And he has to be fast worker too, no hour padding, no procrastination. I might want him on a BitHalo contract too just in case he procrastinates or lies about his credentials.

In other words right now, i benefit more from a super coder than from a group i have to teach.

I'm in negotiations with a couple groups in china or india but im not yet convinced its the best use of funds.

As for marketing, we dont have the product ready to market. It may be a premature use of funds. But Trello is a good place to organize. I can pay bounties for things that are sensible. I would love a project manager to step up and organize and handle all of that to make sure things get done.

You can get the best of the best  Dev in India for a salary of 2500$....
With all the BTC from ico ( don't know how left ) this is peanuts....
i have some serious friends how are very good dev can you send me By MP the details ?

Hey if you are serious about this PM me, I could use the help interviewing and finding one. I'm not able to find that quality where im located.

David said he would add me on Trello to explain the mechanisms of Pegging.
Wonder if  he is still going to do that

Sorry i dont check this too much. Anyone who wants to be on Trello PM me your name there and i can add you. Even better to PM me on reddit. I try to read the messages when time permits  Wink

Thanks . ill Pm you on reddit then
Here is what i found with regards to Pegging of Nubits
https://nubits.com/about/price-stability

Is it a similar plan for the Bay too ?
My understanding is that pegging and the marketplace together will ensure that there is continuous demand and supply for the coin .
Pegging it to a constant value (lets assume $1 for example) would make the total value only (1 Bill + 1% per year) USD .

My suggestion would be to continually raise the peg  once or twice a year thus increasing the total market cap and buying and selling of goods and services would increase too (in terms of total value exchanged)

My methods will differ a bit. They are strictly about deflation and inflation. Liquid and frozen coins move from one side to another depending on price. Walls are placed below the supply line. Not sure if i want a ceiling perhaps its not required. Videos covering it are on Trello. So PM me that too.

Where is dev? Sad Huh

I'm here and reading some of these posts. Now I know what to do.

Guys, I'm going to release a quick video on how to do smart contracts in a few minutes (everyone move to the other thread now, leave the others behind). You know what, I think Bitbay and Blackcoin still have a chance after all.

The official statement on reddit explains we still have an operating account. And are still very much alive. Lets press forward. Sail the BitBay ship.

And Blackcoin, get ready for a new Halo.

Shilling with your own logs from old Jobs is always the last card scamers play, it is like they don't have anything they could do and use their old pals as black sheep to avoid attention on them self.

But keep going i love these "Love/Hate" games between you scammers.

I'm not a pal of this guys. Not in any way shape or form. He just strolled in days before the ICO didnt have a clue who this nutcase was.

I was too busy working.

They strolled in and you simply went ahead with them Roll Eyes

Its very hard to believe that you were not aware of fake buying to create momentum. You were part of it and now trying to blamee others.

I wasnt until it started. How many times do i have to repeat this.

Once upon a time there was a guy named Bob.

He really should have lived thirty years earlier. His true calling – and I told him this several times – was to be a pimp running mid level hookers in Detroit or Cleveland. That’s where his taste for impressive champagnes and black cars and large powerboats rented by the hour would have found its natural home, its natural pasture.

Unfortunately for Bob, and unfortunately for a lot coins with teenage names like XCloud, XST, BitSwift, Halo, and BitBay, he came of age some thirty five years later in a time when fortunes were out there to be made, and young men in their mothers basements the world over were intent on making them.

This proved to also be unfortunate for a number of these young men who had recently made it out of their mothers’ basements and into the world of making crypto coins. They were brave dreamers, with teenage names like Umi, David, Lin, Paul, Salamander, and Steven – but to Bob, they were just players in the game.

Bob and these starry eyed boys did what starry eyed boys do. They hatched plans and they scammed people and used the money for hookers and blow and weed and mortgage payments. But it never seemed to lead to fairy tale endings. In fact, it led to train wrecks. Massive train wrecks.

This is a satisfying way for stories to end – everyone gets what they deserve. And in this situation, everyone seems to be getting what they deserve. Perfect moral structure in the story.

But to understand a train wreck, we need to understand who was driving the train, who was shoveling coal, who was the monkey, and who built the tracks.  We have to go back to the beginning. We have to figure out how Bob and Steve and David and Paul and Lin and Umi and Salamander all know each other - if we want to understand why they now all hate each other, and are tearing each other apart in public. We have to choose a beginning for this story.  Luckily that is easy. It begins with a strange thing happening to a coin called Liberty coin.

To be continued.

Except, i didnt come out of my mommas basement  Grin google

As for how i knew Bob. That was explaind in r/BitBay

More than happy to prove it to anyone that asks.

David has way more too lose than anyone else involved. Why would he tie his public name, reputation and product to a scheme like that? There's not nearly enough money to be made out of this that would make that worthwhile.

That's why I don't buy that he was aware of that side of the operation. Anyone has a price and if that price is high enough then anyone eventually sells out. But not for this kind of pocket change.

If he's still holding a 100m bay then that means he genuinely believed he would be sitting on fully working operation AND a fortune by the end of next year.

Because as he admitted before he was in debt up to his eyes as was his mother. Those debts are magically paid now. Dev fund lol. That's why he hide the fact. He knew everything. He needed the money and was desperate. He (zimbeck) admits the debt of himself and mother that he paid off. So he took the money and paid it off. 3000btc bob maybe got 600 so where did the other 2400 go 4 other guys so Zimbeck got at least 600 as did the rest. I lost 5 btc on this shit.

Wow this comment is totally misinformed. The numbers are HERE buddy

David .. Is there a TL;DR version of how Pegging would work ?

I did a video for my devs, its on Trello, if you want i can add you.

Barrabas was warning of a back door. Even though nothing he says can be taken seriously.

Everyone lets stop using that client, neither that Bitbayd/Smart contract or the Bitbay-Qt. Those were built by his coin dev flubber(who seemed like a nice enough guy). We should not trust any more links, this thread, nothing at all to do with the old source, site etc.

Now I'm confused. Around 11PM EST on the 5th or 6th when asked where the new wallet was you said you had delivered it to "them" and didn't know why "they" hadn't posted it yet. You said if "they" didn't post it in an hour, you would. I thought you were the dev. Now you're saying someone named "flubber" built both bitbay wallets? flubber is the dev? who's flubber?

There is a difference between Halo wallet and the daemon.

Look in the folder with the BitMHalo.exe, BitBay.exe and Bitbayd.exe

I did not build bitbayd. Thats a daemon built by one of the scammers contacts. I'm sure its fine but we have had some suspicious reports.

So, since i didnt build bitbayd.exe, i need a new one.

And we will make new builds of bitbay-qt for all platforms.

You can still use the old wallet, but just be aware we are updating it.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moderation of (possible) FUD and insults on: December 14, 2014, 03:09:29 PM
After receiving a lot of PMs about this subject, seeing a lot of reports of this kind and after one of the global mods PMed me with suggestions regarding this topic, I thought that I should cover it:

Possible (or real, not for me to judge) FUD, accusations or statements are not moderated.

Moderators don't moderate for truth. However, trolling isn't allowed. If a user is habitually posting obviously false nonsense just to stir up trouble, then it's considered trolling, which is prohibited. However, such cases should be thoroughly documented in the report (There are tons of reports that just say "trolling", but moderators don't have time to look through each user's post).

Possible (since we don't have the time or resources to check) insults are also allowed as long as they contain any kind of constructive opinion, info or something else substantial and aren't off-topic. For example, posting something like "you are dumb" will be deleted as it contains no meaningful content. However, if the post is somehwere along the lines of "You are dumb. This is wrong because this website/thread/etc. has explained it's not right", it's in most cases accepted.

Possible scams aren't moderated either due to the fact that's it's extremely hard to make an unbiased decision on a limited amount of evidence and time. Moderators don't have time to be investigators.

Legal note: This is forum policy, not mine.

Then remove this thread. This is not only illegal hosting of private content, but way beyond what you guys should be allowing.

Lets just close this thread already, download the new builds they will be up at the new site, and do whatever is necessary to move forward. Move to the other thread if you havent already.

Thank you.

Actually, I tried to move to the other thread. But somebody deleted my post. So why would I bother?
This is what they deleted:

I was among the top 25 on the rich list, and I was there because I saw a big potential in the tech. I still do.
However if you guys are aiming for something more than a dead cat bounce, there are some issues that need to be addressed.

Lin. Scam is the only word to describe his part in this. If he does not face up to his responsibility, this is going nowhere.  He holds far to      many coins to be ignored.
David. Actually I believe him. I also understand it was a difficult situation. Nevertheless he did make a big mistake in not revealing the situation earlier. He is also one of the five that split the loot.
Steven. I don't know. For now I will assume Davids description of him is correct. If so, his part in this has like Davids been more stupid or naiv. But like David he got his part of the loot.
Bob and Gekko are out (I hope), so they are not relevant in the discussion about the future.

So, what now?
I would like to see this coin survive. However I think there's no way that's going to happen if this mess does not get cleaned up thoroughly.
Basically no one will invest in a coin that's controlled by known scamers. That goes both for who's making the decisions, and for controlling a large part of the coins. In plain english; If Lin, David, and Steven choose to keep their free coins, there's nothing more to discuss. Bay is dead. If they commit to use them for development, marketing etc. then there may bee a chance to get out of this mess. It would of course also be necessary to hire someone respected to be in charge of Bay. Full Transparency goes without saying.

Its probably because you talked bad about Lin. Lin and Steven arent in the same league as the others. I dont moderate that thread but I'm sure they try their best. Just keep it positive thats all they want.

1720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitBay | Decentralized Marketplace | Unmoderated Thread on: December 14, 2014, 01:24:05 PM
If the group owns around 40million coins they didn't bother with dumping further then that's still ugly, but I could live with that margin, it's not too big a piece of the billion coins pie.

I delivered the smart contracting wallet. And I plan on continuing to deliver. This thread is a paid FUD thread. You are a Hero member, this should be apparent to you.

Now, you are disrespectful not only to me who opened this thread but to those members of the community who are quite rightly concerned about the level of scam and fraud in crypto. If you read the OP you will see this thread was opened in the very firsts days of the ICO, because - just like many community members - I understood that the Bitbay operation is a scam: there is no legitimate team behind the operation but P&D guys, there is no business plan and consequently the raised fund will not be used for development but will be used for personal purposes.

You're right. I completely misjudged at first and now I'm quite happy this thread exists. It's the only place that isn't in control of people with agendas.

Anybody with the intention of clearing this up, and that should include David, should be thankful for that. Think about it, if you didn't start this then we'd still be caught up in a shitstorm of accusations, shills and crappy pictures.

I'm not concerned with who started it, im concerned with who posts. Its fine that it exists people should know what goes on here.
