2181  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed Never Calls The Bubble A Bubble... Why Not? on: May 22, 2019, 01:52:22 PM
Making money out of nothing in case with FED is a very rough  explanation of thing that is called a monetary policy. American government have to devalue their currency in order to save its position on global market. For example China is artificially devaluating their currency to achieve the same goals. But if we are looking at stock market bubbles then you may notice that until people are talking about bubbles on stock market then we are pretty far from the moment where it would blow up. On the highest prices no one really cares about bubbles.

Any type of government has the tendency to devalue their currency if the situation warrants for it and of course this is to protect their own interest most especially in the global economy. Yes, government will never tell us the real truth and the possible consequences of what they are doing. The most important thing for the government is that things can do well in the short-term sometimes sacrificing the long-term effects most especially if politics can enter the game. This should have been partly avoided if national currency is backed by valuables like gold and this can be the reason why there are now countries returning to the gold standard.
2182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the value of Altcoin on: May 22, 2019, 01:40:40 PM
I usually try to look at the following: a) whitepaper - is there something new, some new crypto feature they try to develop, a new angle on existing problem or it is just a copy paste of other whitepapers, b) team members - are they distinguished members of the crypto developers community or anonymouses, c) hype - have they managed to generate hype already, d) general look and feel of their website - does it look like many other website of similar content.

Yes, there are common ways that one should look into a project in order to determine if it has a good potential to make it into the market. Aside from these, I also visit good reviews of the project to see how some analysts see the platform and if they think that it has a good and bright future ahead. Though we have to understand that nothing is really guaranteed here as some project and team members are expert in hiding what they lack and they can use hypes to prop up the project. The most important thing is that we are doing the due diligence compared to just guessing.
2183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Heard of Bitsend (BTS)? on: May 22, 2019, 01:29:00 PM

Bitsend (BTS) is one of the many coins I got from a legitimate airdropping scheme done monthly over a certain period of time. In 2017, I already converted some of them into bitcoin though I still have some left in my wallet which got into technical problem and I don't know how to repair it.

"Bitsend is a form of digital currency (a.k.a. digital cash) that you are able to spend just about anywhere- from making online purchases, to buying items in-store (although the main function of BitSend is to support online transactions), BitSend is a currency platform that can be used by anyone all around the globe. The BitSend coin was founded back in 2014, initially under the name LIMX, however, the company (based out of Germany) was later taken over and the BitSend name was implemented."

So let's discuss about this coin...do you think this has a good potential to be one of the good performing cryptocurrency or you think this is just another project that will eventually fade into the dust?

2184  Economy / Economics / Re: Problems In Chinas Economy & Escalating Trade War Will Cause Large Bitcoin Rally on: May 22, 2019, 01:17:13 PM
Quote
Jason talks about how China's economy getting worse plus the US vs China trade war escalating means that many CCP elites in China and rich Chinese businessmen are getting around capital controls and getting their savings out via Bitcoin.

This is a great evidence that bitcoin can really act as a great and popular safe haven during times of troubles, problems and chaos. Just like the real gold, bitcoin is now cementing its reputation on this aspect but the main difference with the real gold is that bitcoin has more potential for excellent and amazing growth. The more that there will be problems in many countries' economy and the more that countries are getting into trade wars, the better bitcoin is gonna perform. And this is also showing us that despite banning bitcoin, moneyed people in China can easily get away and own bitcoin. Geographically, they can go to Hong Kong or Macau just to buy some bitcoin or even visit any Asian country for that matter.
2185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs. BNB on: May 22, 2019, 01:02:42 PM
This will be a great competition to speed up the their own developments but based on the current state on whats happening with these two. My bet was on BNB, Most of the active tokens on ethereum platform are migrating to Binance Chain and that scenario will have a very bad result from ethereum platform and given that the momentum is on BNB.

I am an avid fan of Vitalik Buterin and his Ethereum and though I believe that Eth will continue on its dominance as the number two to bitcoin, we have to admit that some things are changing...the wind is blowing on the other side and it is BNB. In terms of growth potential, I am siding with BNB. And it would be exciting to see how BNB will grow this year. At the same time, we should see how the Ethereum group will be responding with the many challenges right on their very faces.
2186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty] ⭐ WHALELEND ⭐ Join and Get Reward in XRP ✔ on: May 22, 2019, 12:55:11 PM

The bounty of this project has already ended as many applicants vied for limited spots but Whalelend promised to open the same program in the summer so let's watch out for this. I see a good potential of the Whalelend platform and I am sure that if they do the right things they can make this a very successful one. Good luck to those who made it with the bounty...

"Hi Guys, our Bounty campaign for May has had so many people joining! We're ending our May campaign in 1 day to process the application. We will open our bounty campaign later in summer! ONLY SOME BOUNTY REWARDS LEFT , LAST CHANCE TO JOIN, 1ST COME 1ST SERVE."
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin SV starting to grow? on: May 22, 2019, 12:44:55 PM
It think it was just a short term hike as the founder of Bitcoin SV, Craig wright applied for the copyright of Bitcoin whitepaper to prove himself to be satoshi. And some people not realizing the situation jumped into the altcoin endorsed by the creator of bitcoin. Though price is hanging around $100, I believe it would again decrease when people starts to dump.

This is just a temporary pump for Bitcoin SV as a way to celebrate for getting the copyright of the Bitcoin WhitePaper. I am sure this is a planned and orchestrated event all because they wanted to show that BSV is still relevant and has the energy to follow the same path that the original Bitcoin is into right now. Of course, soon it will just return to where it should be. Craig Wright has become the biggest joker this industry has produced and some love the kind of entertainment he is providing.
2188  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-22] Bitcoin Recovers to $8,000 - Why The Market Sentiment Is Now Differ on: May 22, 2019, 12:31:03 PM

I am with the rest of the bitcoin community that we are in a very bullish stage so that if there can be a dip bitcoin can immediately recover as there are many buyers just waiting on the sideline looking for the right opportunity to get in with the bandwagon. Now, from here, analysts are looking whether it is moving sideways for some days or will there be enough gas left to move towards $8,500 or maybe even $9,000. The overall market sentiment is positive for bitcoin and the gloom which overtook the market early 2019 that was already gone so much so that bitcoin is not anymore listening to critics no matter how famous is the one who issued an adverse statement.
2189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody predict what the SEC is going to do? on: May 22, 2019, 12:20:12 PM
A lot of people expect the SEC to pass,I really want it to pass,Boost the cryptocurrency market,In this way, the TNB in my MiaoA account can appreciate! Grin Grin

Are you referring to the ETF applications under the desk of SEC USA? In that case, in my view SEC is just bidding the time for the eventual approval of this financial platform. This is already coming but SEC is just making sure that the right infrastructure and the right timing can be needed before they affix their final approval. I am sure that approval of ETF can spill a big magic beans on bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrency. How will ETF approval help your TNB, that is something I don't get much.
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only the strongest will survive the great altcoin purge on: May 22, 2019, 12:08:31 PM
which project are you most confident with and why? WABI? VET? TNB?

I am not very familiar with WAVI so I researched for it and this is a secure CPU mining project which I think is not really doing well in the market evidenced by the fact that it is not yet listed in CMC -- but you can correct me if I am wrong on this. I am more familiar with VET because I supported when it was still in the crowdfunding stage. Vechain is offering "the public blockchain that derives its value from activities created by members within the ecosystem solving real world economic problems." As for TNB or Time New Bank, I found it discussed in the forum. "TNB (Time New Bank) is a basic blockchain that based on time scenarios in distributed application design. Of these three, I would choose TNB to have the best potential followed by VET  and WAVI is my last on the list. But I don't understand why you are limiting yourself to these three projects as there are many more in the pond all waving and looking for your attention (and money, of course).
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The perfect solution to scam in the crypto space on: May 22, 2019, 11:56:58 AM
The rate of scam and hacks in the cryptocurrency market keeps growing at an alarming rate. In my opinion there best solution to these crimes in the cryptocurrency market are

1 ICO regulations: if there is ico regulations then investors should only invest in ICOs that are certified and meets the required standards. This will reduce the scam rates as fake ICOs will not be able to raise money for investors anymore

2 Smart contract Auditing: I think in other for coins and exchanges to avoid hacks and attacks they should constantly audit their smart contracts at regular intervals (like every 2 weeks or every month).  Doing this will help them detect the bugs and loop holes in their smart contracts and correct it before it is used by hackers.

I am sure these measures can be helping the cryptocurrency industry deal with the flood of scams which soured many investors' interest tarnishing the image of this fledgling industry. As to ICO I think that we better not use the same platform anymore and proceed to the STO where all projects have to be vetted and people the project has to show that they are real and that they have the qualifications and track record for more transparency and openness. Another requirement is that they should be making a certain amount of deposit before proceeding with the crowdfunding...as to where the amount to be deposited this can be decided by an agency doing the regulation. Right now, we also have the IEO and this can be a better version of the ICO. An STO can also do an IEO as IEO means that the crowdfunding is done in an exchange. The only we can move forward with this industry is if we try to make things better for the protection of the people who are trusting projects with their money and support. Deregulation and decentralization can work if we are not dealing with greedy human nature, otherwise checks and balance must be provided in many ways.

2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your unfashionable Bitcoin opinions? on: May 22, 2019, 11:43:40 AM

1. The great demand for electricity in the conduct of bitcoin mining is not for the environment hence bitcoin is not a green enterprise and for now there is no technology that is dealing with this challenge. Bitcoin mining is killing the Mother Earth.

2. Volatility is one factor why many merchants are not adopting bitcoin into their operation aside from the fact that low turnout is the norm upon analyzing sales made from people using bitcoin. Volatility is killing bitcoin in some ways.

3, Bitcoin is really more like a storage of value comparable to the physical gold though there are differences (as well as similarities) between the two investment tool. Between the real gold and bitcoin, people still prefer the real one.

4. Bitcoin is only for the rich people as they can easily afford to buy its soaring price and can afford to lose money when bitcoin can be down...as such bitcoin can be the tool to control the poor and expand the power of the rich people.

5. Bitcoin will never make it to 2050 as many governments will be working hard to kill it and buried it forever in the digital cemetery. USA, Europe and Middle East will not anymore let bitcoin exist in those years.
2193  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pawn Token - Suspicious project - No Team, Using a FREE website hosting company on: May 22, 2019, 11:30:43 AM
The laziness level of these scammers sometimes amazes me. Looking at these photos and especially names (Albert Records III, Albert Records IV, Albert Records V), we are asked to believe that everything is as it should be, the whole dynasty is working on this project. There is definitely something in it. Thanks to ICOEthics for uploading this and bumping the thread.

This project is quite funny. I am hoping they never generated big sales in fooling people into their business. I am sure that there is a minor age looking in the roster of the team. This (and similar sites) made the cryptocurrency market a place known for scams and frauds. Sadly, it is quite hard to run after these people as they can just be fakes and using pictures that can be found online. Time to expose these scammers and the things they are doing so we can prevent some not to be a part of the victim statistics.
2194  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALLERT (for new comers) Wasu, wasu, wasu is back (bitconnect 2.0 is coming on: May 22, 2019, 11:00:57 AM

I was one of the many victims of Bitconnect in 2017 and it would be a dread day for me and many of us if there would be a resurrection or 2.0 of this big scam. I am sure that we all know how people behind Bitconnect fooled its members into thinking that the platform and the whole project is legit, real and can continue doing business for a long time. When they stopped operating, people lost money and now they have the gall to return into the scene...and why? To fool some more people once more? Oh yeah baby, let's burn these people into hell where they deserve to rot until kingdom come. Please forgive my rants.

2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: HOW I BECAME A GAMBLER on: May 22, 2019, 10:47:01 AM
2017 was a very tough year for me. All efforts that i ever made to make money proofed abortive, then my friend told me about gambling and how he has been making money from it. I didn't buy into this idea because i have had a very bad impression about this game even though i never tried. Am sure you all know that gambling has a bad reputation lol Grin Grin. At a point i had no  other choice than to give it a trial on a sport betting site. That day i made double of my money and i promised myself never to stop gambling Grin That was how my journey on gambling started. Can you share your story briefly and clearly  Roll Eyes LETS GO GUYS

I am not really into gambling but I am fascinated with different stories of disasters as well as success of different gamblers big and small. I am interested with your story too and how you made good money with it. Would you really recommend this strategy to make money online? And what are the things we should avoid so we will minimize our loses and maximize our gains? Please share more in this thread.
2196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin" is now a registered trademark in the UK on: May 22, 2019, 10:35:45 AM
Dr. Craig has now been issued a fully vetted certificate of copyright by US Government Copyright office.
This can not be contested unless you have standing so this is now firm.
Dr. Craig has not applied today, he did that months back.

It doesn't matter. Anyone else can have the same copyright registered as well. Disputes over copyright ownership are sorted out in the courts, not the Copyright Office. The whitepaper and original code were already copyrighted by default when they were published. Initial distribution under the MIT license destroys any chance Craig Wright has of charging rent to use the Bitcoin code, as he apparently intends to do. It almost seems like another pathetic attempt to "prove" he's Satoshi more than anything else.

The bitcoin community is looking at Craig Wright as a big joker who is restless unless the whole world will accept his notion that he is the real Satoshi Nakamoto and no one else. He is willing to bulldoze anyone and anything that comes in the way to his goals. Craig Wright is actually the enemy of the community. And now he is using the copyright law of USA into his side by filing the claim for the original bitcoin WhiePaper. Such a big shame because by his own very actions he is showing us that he is just another fake and can never be the man who founded and started the bitcoin movement.
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: STEP TO TAKE WHEN PAYMENT IS BEEN DELAYED BY AN ONLINE CASINO on: May 22, 2019, 10:08:24 AM
Contact the casino team support and ask why it takes too long to process your payout. Try to check if you haven't violated their terms and regulations of their site. If they just won't do it then it means they don't want to pay gamblers who won huge amount as it also happen to other gamblers who won huge amount and withdraw but not a single btc that the gambler got from the casino.

In cases like this, we are all aware that the control of the money is always in the hands of the online casino. Yes, the best thing to do is to contact customer support and tell them the problem and if nobody is responding with the problem for days maybe there is nothing you can do but to expect that greed has come their way that's why they don't want to transfer the money. This can be the problem with some online casino that is why choosing the best is the option one should do before playing and wagering money.
2198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pornhub Casino now accepting bitcoin and many other cryptocurrency! ph.casino on: May 22, 2019, 09:51:23 AM
WTF is this the legitimate casino of pornhub? I didn't think that this one is possible. What are the games in this casino can everybody state here?
They are asking ID verifications when withdrawing, DO NOT DEPOSIT.
Sadly, this revoke our rights to be anonymous on blockchain.
Doesn't matter if you submit your KYC or not, you will never be able to withdraw.. I have posted myself many screenshots about it a couple months ago.. they are scammers and many others also reported it in this same topic
Adding up some links for people's reference.

A very shady casino. Its better to stay away with this one.

Whoa...good to see someone is investigating here about this very sexy and attractive Pornhub Casino. Some people might have trusted this online casino because of its supposed connection to Pornhub a respected and trusted name in free porn industry. Oh! Well, we better be careful and only play with one with good and trusted track records. Gambling is a very big and lucrative industry but just like cryptocurrency it is unfortunately also riddled with many scams and frauds.

2199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin G. a scam? on: May 22, 2019, 09:32:16 AM
I came across this article this morning and I want everyone's input on this idea...

https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/is-bitcoin-gold-a-scam/

Is Bitcoin Gold a scam? Think about it...  Ever since the BTG Wallet scam happened I've been a little concerned that all of these "alternate bitcoins" were just trying to take advantage of people.

Idk... thoughts?

I just came back to crypto when BTG was forked, haven't heard of BTG for years now and it seems that people had stayed away from it after the BTG wallet incident. The only Bitcoin fork that is famous among crypto enthusiast is BCH which is still alive and kicking.

I see no real updates on this project which is a fork of bitcoin. Gone are the days when people are so exciting about forking all because free coins can be distributed. Now, we know better as almost all forks are literally gone except for some. Maybe there are no more developers behind the Bitcoin Gold that is why it is even tanking in terms of price. The problem with fork coins is that they have no choice but to pretend to be another bitcoin when we know they are now and will never be. I even don't get it fully why forks have to produce another coin in the first place.

Today is the day when the whole bitcoin community all over the world is celebrating the popular Bitcoin Pizza Day in commemoration of that very special pizza order worth 10,000 bitcoin which could have been millions of dollars at today's bitcoin price. Who would have thought that an order like that can be imprinted in the bitcoin history? There are many stories, myths and legends connected to bitcoin but this pizza story is one on the top. Welcome and let's celebrate the day by ordering pizzas and some beer.
