They don't want to make the Escrow. And after some FUD from "The Pitbull" cannabanana, I'm not surprised. They were never asked to be the escrow. Why would they be? Max and especially Oliver have enough responsibilities with Lisk, escrow is for people with some free time. |

True. Those that want to invest in ARK will be better off buying LISK because of the 120% bonus. Which will mean there will be a demand for LISK and price will go up.
I just hope people remember not to leave it to the last minute then lose out because of some polo withdrawal problem, or because they hit their daily withdrawal limits. |

Okay, one last post about this, as I don't really care, as the funds will remain in escrow until a legal solution is found no matter what. That statement you quoted is simply not correct. No matter what they say they can't overwrite the original terms. They can choose not to touch the funds as long as they want, but the original terms were clear. I agree, that there is some ambiguity of wording, but not that much. From part II of ICO terms: The Lisk team won’t have access to any funds at all, until the Lisk mainnet is launched successfully.

You are talking about community forging. There was no such requirement. Forging has been happening since the first block, every block. But don't we have better things to do than argue about the whys and hows of lisk funds? |

Based on the original ICO terms the funds can be paid out after the very first block of the Lisk mainnet was forged. All collected funds (BTC and XCR) will be paid out, once the Lisk network has forged its first blocks successfully. Both escrow partners have agreed to this condition.

Okay, confession time. I had cannabanana on ignore since about week one of the Lisk ICO.  Because I kind of agree with you, the constant zero info hype posts annoyed me greatly. (I also tend to hit ignore as soon as someone posts more than one flashy image.) But his current post habits are far from that, IMO. Surely there are some fillers, but he is exited for the project, we have been working on ARK for a long time before we could've announced, and cannabanana put in more work than most. His post about ARK are mostly direct answers to questions asked (with answers that already there in OP, but that's another matter), so they are far from just hype. |

Hi, yes ARK is a fork of Lisk but most of the core has been rewritten, vastly improved and stabilized.
ARK also provides a more decentralized voting system than other DPoS consensus models, including Lisk.
Can you verify this statement. I can't find any code on GitHub which reflects this. I think that may be an overstatement at this point. Development will go to a different direction, but currently there are only a few changes (as far as I know), cleaning up the Lisk code, setting the stage for changes to come. It will take time, effort and money to implement everything. Hence the TEC. Also, there is nothing to see at GitHub yet. ARK will be open source of course, but the TEC hasn't even started, so the core is in a closed repo at the moment. |

I have issues with the 120% given to those using Lisk tokens for investments, this is business and getting emotional attached to a project seems unwise to me, so who is going to bear the 120% loss, I assume other investors using other currencies, lets say I want to invest 1BTC which is equal to 2.2BTC in Lisk valuation. I just don't understand the disparity, and I hope you've notice a common trend now of token value dropping significantly below the ICO price when listed on the exchange. I believe any rational investor would rather wait for some of those that would benefited from 120% to dump their tokens before buying.
We thought long and hard about the bonuses we offer and the various effects it may cause, and this structure will remain. Offering such significant bonus for Lisk (although keep in mind, that the 120% is only the first 24 hours, and in that same time period there is also a 30% BTC bonus) is a cold hard business decision. Simply put we want lisk. A lot of it. We want people who hold lisk but want to get out to "donate" it to us. We want other investors to convert their other coins into Lisk before investing. Sure we want BTC and we will get it too as the TEC progressing, but until that we welcome the Lisk. Smart early investors won't avoid ARK because of this, they will just buy Lisk and use it. |

If you want take advantage of LISK bonus you should buy now, before most people discover it, my estimate is that Lisk will continue rising in price till first day bonus is over. There are no people selling more LSK because we just witnessed dump few days ago. Those dumpers must hate themselve now, but that is crypto.
In addition every Lisk that gets donated to ARK is effectively removed from the market for a long while, helping the sell pressure. That means that ideally the price will stabilise at a higher level than it is currently or have been for a while. You know, as long as the market follows rational behavior. So...maybe. |
