221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Let's pay attention to BNB? on: March 12, 2022, 12:34:11 AM
Absolutely not.

BNB is honestly one of the more developed ecosystems, but I don't think that there is much growth potential left in them at all.

I think that it is self-evident that more people are moving to newer chains like Fantom and NEAR Protocol and leaving behind BNB. Binance itself is also getting saturated as it is not growing too much either, so it's certainly something to be concerned about.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 11, 2022, 11:07:38 PM
Again with Jokic's performance. Even though they just played last night, they still have the energy to battle with a team like the Warriors.
I don't expect them to win and they didn't, but that kind of performance is worthy for a big applause.
He almost hit another triple double despite resting for longer minutes in the 3rd which had been the crucial part of the game. It sounds exaggerated but it proves the Nuggets are nothing without him because they just let the lead be gone while he is sitting.

Not sure what's the plan of coach Malone letting Gordon and Jokic sits for almost the whole 3rd quarter,

Even the lead already been cut and Curry showcasing his talent outside the Nuggets just let that lead blown away, good for boogey
though but not a good result for this game, coming in the last quarter Jokic commits most if not all of those important mistakes
but he still have that magnificient stats almost another triple double for the running back to back MVP.

Just one shy of assist for another triple double game. For now, I cannot say that he would win the MVP because there are other players who were very consistent from the very start, Jokic just recently had great stats because Nuggets were struggling early.

As for - https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/mvp/.. Embiid is still leading the race.

2021-22 NBA MVP ODDS
Player (Team)   Odds
Joel Embiid (Philadelphia)   -135
Nikola Jokic (Denver)   +200
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee)   +800

Odds Provided by DraftKings - Subject to Change - Updated: Wed., Mar. 9, 2022- 1:09 p.m. ET

I think that it'll ultimately come down to how many games Philly can win before the end of the season.

If they drop a few games they can slip 1-2 places in the rankings quite easily, and Philly would become the 4th-5th seed instead of the 3rd, which can seriously hurt their chances.

The fact that they lost to the Nets in embarassing fashion is honestly not helping either.
223  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇 Crashino.com 🚀 Provably Fair Crash Games, Casino and Sportsbook ✌ No KYC on: March 11, 2022, 09:35:32 PM
Read their FAQ https://www.crashino.com/faqs It looks like they have a licensed but no information on their license unlike other licenses where they put it at the bottom of their gambling site, would you mind to give more information about your license Crashino?

Quote
Is the Crashino licensed?

We as a new casino are working with one of the best platform providers in the industry which is licensed in 8 countries, we offer a game selection of more than 80 licensed gaming providers, so we pride ourselves with highest quality of our product and an amazing game selection.
What's certain is that they are not licensed. They already confirmed this in one of their replies in this thread.
The FAQ section must be clear and provide straight answers which is not the case in their response to the question about being licensed. It looks like they are, for some reason, trying to avoid giving a straight answer (Yes, we are. / No, we arent.)
The way I interpreted it is that they don't have a license but their software and games providers are licensed.

That is very odd.

It seems a bit misleading to say that "we are partners with licensed game providers" as that makes it seem like that they are claiming they are licensed themselves.

It's like those firms which claim that some company is one of their partners when in reality they just use their service as a client. But yeah, the fact that they don't require any sort of KYC is definitely a sign that they are not licensed. Otherwise they will be compelled by law to do so in most jurisdictions.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's meta here and there on: March 11, 2022, 09:17:21 PM
To all newcomers on here pls be careful with projects that start with the name "META" because they are mostly scam projects, since metaverse have become another hot cake in crypto world today this scammers are fully ready to use this on the unknowns, open your eye and do good research before taking that risk... Meta this and mate that are the most dangerous projects today, stay safe.

100% agreed, especially when it comes to BSC tokens that have just launched.

I think that it is imperative that people realise a lot of metaverses out there are created by nothing other than people trying to turn a quick profit by riding the market wave, and that's exactly what is happening right now.

A lot of projects starting with meta- don't even have anything to do with the metaverse. And those who do rarely have a functional one.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Alts Follows Bitcoin's Fall? on: March 11, 2022, 09:00:04 PM
When bitcoin rises, the altcoins keep the price and if when the bitcoin falls the altcoins fall even more. Why do altcoins usually follow bitcoin?

Well, the crypto market as a whole is always moving in unison (to a certain degree).

I think that you have to realise despite the fact that people think bitcoin is dead, it is still the first and foremost thing that comes up to the public's consciousness when you mention the idea of crypto. So its price action dictates how much money is flowing into crypto overall.

I think that this trend will improve as a matter of time though, you're not going to see as much correlation between BTC and alts going forward because how much alts have developed.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The paradox of arbitrage betting (and how to make money on it) on: March 11, 2022, 08:48:52 PM
This is essentially the principles of +EV betting.

It comes with risks and you need to make sure that you still manage your bankroll correctly, because bad beats can happen even if you are doing everything right.

And don't think that this is the magic thing that will ensure you never get caught. If you bet and win consistently and show that you have an edge, most casinos/sportsbooks are still going to catch on as a matter of time regardless of how well you conceal your activities.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: smal USDT balances ?? what to do ?? on: March 11, 2022, 08:35:07 PM
i started accepting crypto payments for my online business, a client paid me 110 USDT, i was unable to convert to BTC sadly using my wallet, and sendindg to kraken will take like 20$ fees (maybe more), what on earth am i supposed to do with those USDT to convert to fiat (as am paying my bills) without losing much of its value ?!?...

thanks,

What chain are they on?

You could possibly try to bridge your coins over to another chain with lower fees, or use a native DEX which have much lower fees compared to centralised exchanges.

You could also try to find a swap partner here p2p on the bitcointalk forum, or even try a swap service like Changenow or Changelly (note that both of these platforms have had issues in the past, so only use with small amounts).
228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: March 11, 2022, 08:28:18 PM
It's not surprising whatsoever.

Drake's endorsement has been covered by mainstream media and Stake is probably raking it in right now as a result. The sponsorship is probably worth millions per year for Drake.

I think it's a win win for both parties involved, although people do need to be careful with celebrity endorsements in general - not all are legitimate. In this case, it is one of the rare instances where a big name celebrity is actually endorsing a legitimate operation.  Smiley
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 11, 2022, 08:22:42 PM
Let's not jump the gun here.

I think that there are certainly a lot of improvements that could be made when it comes to the traditional/crypto gambling industry, voluntary self exclusion being one of the things that never seems to get enforced 100% of the time.

Note that this is not always the casino's fault, as players often try to circumvent these measures themselves.

But yes, media depiction of gambling is almost always negative and these fringe cases really paint the industry in a bad light. Hopefully this changes.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 11, 2022, 08:15:00 PM
I would have liked to watch the Philadelphia 76ers - Brooklyn Nets game if it wasn't too late for me. Because it must have been a really delightful game and a surprising thing happened at the end too. I didn't give much chance to Nets for winning this game. But they did even by a score like 129-100. I wonder what went wrong with 76ers players in this one. I watched the highlights today and really appreciated Nets' solid game plan. But they are still not very trustworthy until starting a decent form.

Yeah, i'm not sure either.

It wasn't even like that the Nets was doing well prior to this game. They were way below .500 in the last 20 games coming into this one.

I think that it's probably just all the rumours and drama having built up over the past few months releasing. KD with another very efficient performance, he's not going to let Ben Simmons down haha.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT Tokens a Good Long Term Investments? on: March 10, 2022, 11:26:10 PM
For the most part, no.

However there are a few collections that give you a bit of utility and I think may be worth investing in.

The usual stuff like Cool Cats, Azuki etc. may have seen significant price action but I honestly cannot see them going anywhere and becoming anything more than just a status symbol. They will die down inevitably when the next fad comes into town, just like the ICO craze in 2017.
232  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: March 09, 2022, 07:54:20 PM
Well done on making it so far efialtis!

If running the site is overwhelming then I think you should definitely try to delegate more tasks etc. Burnout is real man, take it easy.

Your site has blossomed into one of the most comprehensive and unbiased reviewers of crypto casinos, and mad respect for that. The mediation centre to handle casino disputes is certainly a very interesting initiative. I personally think having such a trusted brand back your casino would be a really great marketing strategy for any newcomers onto the scene.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How will Coinmarketcap look in 2025? on: March 05, 2022, 11:57:27 PM
Seems like a bit of a far fetched idea right now.

Axie is definitely not going to be in the Top 10 - it's mechanics rewards early adopters heavily and I don't think that there is going to be a lot of incentive for later comers to the party.

P2E is overhyped as hell.

Avalanche does have a lot of potential but no way I think it'll flip both BTC and ETH on a market cap basis, just because of the fact that it is much younger and less mature - and have much less integrations.

Not suitable for Casinos? You should make out some research first.

Virtual world Decentraland, a browser-based metaverse, has seen its metaverse casino ICE Poker report revenue of $7.5 million in the last three months
Source: https://www.casino.org/news/metaverse-casino-rakes-in-7-5m-in-three-months/

This do proves out that your words arent that right.  Wink

That sounds like a lot, until you realize that the revenues generated by centralized casinos far exceed that figure on a daily basis.

I do agree that there is some utility when it comes to metaverse based casinos, but I feel like that until everyone is fully immersed in that reality, there is not going to be a whole lot of demand for them on aggregate and there's not going to be liquidity available.

Some disruption is needed here but I don't see any viable alternatives so far.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi Tokens on: March 05, 2022, 11:43:39 PM
Hello guys, I'm on a low budget right now and looking for Tokens/Crypto that would be really good to invest on. Recently, I was looking for DeFi tokens and kept my eye on Fantom and SushiSwap. But right now, I think I can afford and buy more Fantom once the price got lower.

Do you still have other suggestions or ideas that you think might work on investing DeFi tokens? What are the good DeFi tokens that you think that would be profitable in the next few years?

Are you looking at the actual L1 token or you're looking to yield farm instead?

If actual L1, then I think that SOL has a lot of potential because of the fact that it has such fast transactions and low fees. FTM also is a good bet, I wouldn't bet on ETH with a low budget just because of the low growth potential.

If you're farming, then I'd definitely farm on FTM's spookyswap or something similar - they offer really good APYs even on stablecoins.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion, NFT last long or not ? on: March 05, 2022, 11:38:11 PM
I think that the underlying technology will be long-lasting.

However, certain projects in the space are obviously overhyped and have no future. E.g. avatar NFT projects.

These projects offer no discernible utility and its value is solely propped up by the fact that there is a greater fool willing to pay more for the token rather than the previous person. Don't get sucked into this hole right now.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: In 7 Days Terra Luna Percentage Increase Beat Bitcoin on: March 05, 2022, 11:24:08 PM
I regretted not buying terra at 49$ days ago even when a friend use trading view to give me clue where terra is going, this is a prediction that became a reality, terra all the way this 2022 either bull or bear market it's a good altcoin to hold and keep for long term.

This is incredibly bad advice.

I think that the value of LUNA is pretty much solely dependent on the state of Anchor protocol and how much revenue is being generated for clients there.

As I've said, I have serious doubts about a) the health of the UST peg and b) the sustainability of yields on Anchor. I certainly wouldn't bet my money on it that these 20% yields are going to persist, and unless some other protocol comes popping up on Terra there's not going to be as much demand for the token anymore.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin announced that it can be used for payments in IOS. on: March 05, 2022, 11:08:07 PM
These are all "fake utility".

It is clear that at this stage, DOGE is nothing but an overhyped meme project that is bound to die as more people understand what it actually is and its lack of utility. The price is declining rapidly, and I think that it will breach less than $0.1/DOGE.

Definitely not something that you want to be in for the long run. There has been no development activity otherwise or any effort to legitimize the coin by any means.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 05, 2022, 11:01:42 PM
James Harden must be enjoying his game at 76ers now. His statistics so far proves this I think. And he was great last night too against Cavaliers. He had a big role in the victory there. But the game was still really close as Cavaliers made a big effort too. They also are one of the very impressive teams this season and they really seem like they will do a good job in the playoffs like I think the same about 76ers too. We can watch a really interesting playoff stage this time I believe.

Yeah, Harden fits really well with Embiid and both seem to be happy to move on from diva teammates.

However, with Harden he has a track record of starting really strong and then fizzling out as his relationship with the front office deteriorates. So definitely don't hold unreasonable expectations for him.

They can really make a run if Tobias Harris is contributing this year.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usdt is safeheaven and usdc on: March 05, 2022, 10:59:11 PM
Quote
And usdt and usdc not the usa dollar so they not related to any country currency.

Well, this is untrue.

The value of USDT and USDC is solely dependent on the actual USD value, which is obviously in perennial decline.

Unless you have a good reason to demand fiat exposure, these are not safe havens by any means. Sure, it can counter volatility in the short run, but you no longer have the ability to hedge against a fiat collapse.
