221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 25, 2020, 04:54:55 PM
At the moment Bitcoin price is slightly over 13k but I'm still not convinced that this is going to be the period of some bigger growth. We"ve seen many times so far that Bitcoin had troubles to keep the level that was omce reached. So far it looks that we can be optimistic but with some amount of caution.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: October 25, 2020, 02:00:01 PM
We still live in world that is fully depending on fiat money. There are only few who can maybe live relying only on Bitcoin or crypto in general.
Bitcoin is very important because is alternative to traditional financial system but it can't replace it and that is not even its role.
Anyway, for a longer period of time fiat money will play more important role in our lives than Bitcoin and that is something we need to face. Mass adoption and acceptance are still far away.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 25, 2020, 07:22:46 AM
This was in large part due to the fact that my state is broke. It will and has certainly gained valuable revenue and tax dollars for the state as well as helped cut down on people going to scam casinos online.

They can certainly use my state as a case study.

Their are pros and cons on this subject if you are living in a country that needs additional revenue and you see that the site you're playing can contribute and the government wants to impose additional taxes I can understand that, I'm living in a country where we badly need more source of revenues I can do away with KYC as long as my government can protect me from getting scam and mediate on issues where I'm playing, but not all gamblers will agree with my opinion..

This is very tricky issue. Many countries have found themselves in deep crisis due to the covid pandemic and they desperately need money. However, I don't think that additional taxes for gambling sites could be the answer to that. Such funds will not be enough and gamblers might opose to that looking for illegal gambling sites which might lead to another type of problems. I don't think that any state could be saved with gambling money.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Different level of risk in crypto currency trading on: October 24, 2020, 07:57:22 PM
The are different types of trading. Spot, Margin, leverage, Future and Options etc... requires less capital amount and gives the opportunity to win a big amount.
These types of trading also comes with a risk of losing all your capital and sometimes more than that.
This is why you see the alerts on some coins saying it is a high volatility coin.

Because of all these types of trading every trader has a choice. We can choose what suits us the most and especially what is in accordance with our apetite for risk.
Some traders are more self confident s and willing to risk more expecting also bigger profit.  Volatility is something we always need to have in mind and not risk more than we can take. Bigger risk doesn't necessary mean bigger profit.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should we welcome centralized bodies for Bitcoin mainstream on: October 24, 2020, 05:33:38 PM
If we want to see better adoption of Bitcoin and further development regulation and some kind of monitoring are needed. I wouldn't say that would automatically mean centralisation but from my point of view it would mean better protection and security as well as legal certainty, especially for companies.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: how many Bitcoin do you need to live comfy in event of hyperinflation? on: October 24, 2020, 03:11:02 PM
That can't be calculated for sure. Bitcoin is volatile and the price changes all the time so depending also on periods of hyperinflation you might need a little bit more or less.
It's good to have something saved in Bitcoins but having in mind risk and volatility it's always good to have some fiat currency, gold or some other asset of value that might help you in difficult financial times.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 24, 2020, 10:06:45 AM
I can say that having a licence isn't guarantee that gambling site is honest and trustworthy but still it gives some kind of proof that is operating legally, for me that is also important.
However, that is not the only thing I rely on and always check other references and experience of other gamblers.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: October 24, 2020, 07:11:38 AM
Let me just add one on the list:

  • Art. 95. Whatever may be lost during the marriage in any game of chance, betting, sweepstakes, or any other kind of gambling, whether permitted or prohibited by law, shall be borne by the loser and shall not be charged to the community but any winnings therefrom shall form part of the community property.

According to Article 95 of the Civil Code of the Philippines, if you lost money in gambling then you cannot charge such loss using your money in your conjugal funds BUT if you win, then the winnings will be automatically converted to your conjugal funds. Meaning, if you are married then you win money in gambling, the funds will be shared with your wife! Hahaha better keep those winnings to yourself!

Some countries really have strange laws about gambling. I didn't know this Philippines, especially not the fact that you have tu share the winning with your wife. It's funny that they consider gambling winnings to be marriage property.
Reading all these facts about gambling it's kind of conclusion that usually less developed countries have put more attention to gambling than developed ones, or at leastI have such impression.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin lose its value? on: October 23, 2020, 09:28:03 PM
Changing of Bitcoin price is a circle and it happens in cycles. Sometimes the value is lower or bigger but we can generally say that Bitcoin has a high value and there is always a demand in the market.
Recently there was a slight price rise and currently the price is close to 13k. The question is will it stay there and grow further or the price will drop again. Having in mind how long this Covid crisis lasts it definitely has some impact on Bitcoin price too but that is not the only factor.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin sportsbook bonuses on: October 23, 2020, 06:59:13 PM
Everyone likes bonuses but this is something you need t be careful with. Although it's usual that sportsbook offers bonus you need to do some checks if they are real and that site is legit. There are too many scams and sometime people fall to easily for them so don't let that offer that is too good to be true blinds you. Always check the reputation, other people's experience and trustworthy. Better to be safe than sorry.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 23, 2020, 11:05:52 AM
There are gamblers who tried playing with strategies and tricks according to this article https://www.blackspins.com/blog/winning-at-roulette-skill-or-luck/

You can also do martingale but I think it's still a game of pure luck since you just spin the wheel then wait where it stops. Make sure you choose a reputable casino, preferably provably fair, if you decide to play this game.

It's not completely random because a program can always have algorithms, in order to form a strategy you need to learn how it works in my opinion. Coding the game or recreating it could help you. There are plenty of stuff just by browsing the net with different patterns of roulette. Mostly software devs know's this, in fact you can find post of many programmers here. Showing the features of gambling games winrate and difficulty.

It's true, programs have algorithms but it's not possible to encounter all possibilities. At the end you might get some strategy but there is no guarantee it will work and it can be more like a guideline than something you should count on. I don't think there is perfect software that could replace the gambler's mind.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 22, 2020, 08:59:11 PM
Many players was affected by the covid-19 during the lockdown that make some team get more worry about the up coming match if there's any thing the coach can do to make sure those three players are part of the game. If those three players are allow to play the team will surely win the game. I don't think there's any way they can allow someone who is in insolation center to play because others players in the field their life is at risk . No way this game will end win without all those players insolate after the lockdown.
In sports there is not only one player and even though the core player is affected by this virus, at least there are other players who will replace him and that is the function of the reserve players. However, a new setup must indeed be implemented in this pandemic situation because it is also to ensure that anyone who enters the stadium is safe and clean, if no new setup is implemented then of course it will endanger many people. So, I think this new setup is successful because it keeps the match rolling, of course it is a wait for anyone who enjoys it.

That is actually the main problem. When you have one player inffected that might reflect the whole team because the others who were in close contact with him night be endangered too and get infected. That is also a problem for the audience and with only few people infected virus could spread quite easily. I don't think that anyone likes new normal but as it looks for now we would need to get used to it.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 22, 2020, 07:59:31 PM
I'm not trying to recover losses immediately after it happens, I don't think this is a good strategy. Gambling is risky enough without pushing your luck thinking that just the next game or bet will be the winning one. This will usually bring your to even bigger losses so it's always better to take a break and cool your head. Don't be too eager, inpatient and don't be too greedy, these are not good charactis for gamblers.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 21, 2020, 05:28:25 PM
At the moment price is close to 13000$. However, this doesn't need to mean anything and so far we've witnessed many times how fragile the price rise can be and how easy this can change. Although it's a positive movement it's yet to see if this growth will continue or is just temporary pump. Let's be patient for a while.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 21, 2020, 11:18:04 AM
It's all about the ability and readiness to adapt. Just like in any other business sport and gambling will need to adjust in order to survive.
Pandemic will not last forever, although we can't know what else might happen but meanwhile great flexibility is needed and that is the only way to continue with our lives and activities, including enjoying the sport and betting on it.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin sportsbook bonuses on: October 20, 2020, 09:26:39 PM
You understand it, I understand it, and other people who have experience playing in casinos also understand it. However, there are also newcomers who want to try playing in an online casino, they often pay attention primarily to the size of bonuses and other gifts. I doubt that many of the newcomers immediately look for casino reviews on the Internet. In this case, it will be good if at least someone reads the rules regarding the withdrawal of money and bonuses.
Still it is fair to wonder what are they thinking when they do this? It has been reported that since the pandemic started the use of online banking has gone up and as you may guess the number of scams related to this have gone up as well, why people are not on their guard when it comes to their money? Why they keep trusting  the first option they find without making any research? And this is even more troubling in this market in which we know there are many scams and once you lose your money for the most part it is very difficult to get it back.

Online space is the new playground for scamers and people can be very naive. Everything where money is involved is attractive for scam and gambling isn't exception.
When players see the offer that it's too good to be true a very small percentage of them will actually do some research or background check. So if you are not careful enough you can easily lose money even before you start to gamble.

238  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: October 19, 2020, 08:19:13 PM
This is not easy to estimate. I think that pandemic attracted some new users to Bitcoin and that is good. At the beginning there was more uncertainty and fear among investors at the market than usual but in general I don't think that pandemic influenced the Bitcoin price much and that it would have been very different without it.
239  Other / Archival / Re: Potential shortage of bitcoins? on: October 19, 2020, 04:59:42 PM
It's hard to say at this moment but in theory shortage is possible in the moment when all Bitcoins are mined and we have huge demand on the market. But precondition for that would also be a huge price rise but like I've said, at this moment it's only speculation but I don't think we will experience Bitcoin shortage in real life.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it just me or anyone experienced it as well? on: October 18, 2020, 07:03:58 PM

Also, you can double-check your internet connection sometimes there are delays that the website must need to see the outcome on the dice. At the end of the day, it's better to make an immediate report to the website to prevent having this kind of issue and not fair gameplay.

It has something to do with the internet connection I notice that on one dice game I've played, the movement of the dice and it's result has a lag and when I checked the speedtest my speed was lower at that time, but verifying your bet should solve your suspicious, you have a very keep observation I disregard something like this due to my connection but I could be wrong let's see your results.

I would say this is nothing unusual. Such lags related to internet connection might happen very often, especially in areas where connectivity isn't so great. It happened to me several times too so it's always good to check the speed and compare it with web site you play on before you think it's some more serious problem.
