221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to change mnemonic for recovery of Electrum wallet? on: March 08, 2018, 10:28:10 AM
You can't change the seed, different seed will give you a new wallet.
Different seed = Different Private Keys.
Either you create a new wallet and find the perfect mnemonics that you wanted and send your old coins to the new wallet or just keep using your current wallet.
222  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC to Fiat to PayPal? on: March 08, 2018, 09:48:22 AM
Sell bitcoins to PayPal? I didn’t know PayPal buys crypto. Can you show me the link to that feature? Why sell coins to scammers here (and worry about chargebacks) if PayPal buys crypto directly?

Are you sure PayPal buys bitcoins? I just checked my PayPal account and there are only two options: either upload funds from my bank account or use my linked credit card to send money or pay for something.
I meant for him to go to currency exchange and sell Bitcoins to Paypal via trusted member.
Excuse me for my wording if it confuses you, I'll edit it to be more clearer Smiley
223  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC to Fiat to PayPal? on: March 07, 2018, 06:27:45 PM
I have seen that.  I agree too many potential for scam.  What I would like to do is send fiat to PayPal from an exchange.  Say I sell my BTC and turn it into fiat.  Then send that to PayPal.  I know CoinBase offers this, but it's limited with the amount I can send at one time.
Why don't you sell your BTC directly to Paypal by trading it to trusted member on Currency Exchange??
The total fee to turn BTC>Fiat>Paypal will be a little higher than converting BTCs directly to Paypal.

Have you tried Gdax?
It's an exchange from Coinbase, it has higher limit, you should be able to turn BTCs to Fiat that way.
224  Other / Meta / Re: I've started an english language inprovement thread on: March 07, 2018, 04:36:56 PM
What kind of bs is this?Huh I'm so mad at bitcointalk's bigotry.

You're talking about anonymity and decentralization, but you're trying to centralize btc as an English-major coin!

Bitcoin is international, and it should be global. Making a big fuss about English skills and acting like bitcoin is only in English demeans the effort to get bitcoin trusted worldwide,

Bitcoin doesn't need a language barrier on top of all its other current barriers.
You should be grateful someone cares enough for the community to fix those who doesn't have an "ok" English Roll Eyes
and he's talking about BTCtalk, not Bitcoin.

English are my second language so I don't think I would be able to help you, but I would suggest for those of you who still doesn't understand English decently to read or watch Kids Movie, Nick.Jr has a wide range of Kids Movie for examples. Kids Book or Movies tend to use Basic English for their show, both in Grammar and Vocabulary, it should be a great stepping stones.
I personally used this method to Learn Japanese for Basic Kanji and it worked quite well Smiley
225  Other / Meta / Re: technically it became impossible for me to ever become Sr. or even ful member? on: March 07, 2018, 04:22:49 PM
Technically, it is possible to become Full Member if you stick in this forum long enough and create high quality posts that deserves a merit.
You think this kind of posts deservers a merit?

Well you points makes sense but still i have been able to make some good profits in some recent ICOs specially when you are able to invest in the Pre-ICO with huge discounts...most of the time i end up in the profit
No i dont think so and rather i will say bitcoin trading would be best thing for them because after retired they will be free and i am sure some of those would love to spend time in bitcoin and crypto trading
Hiii broo please add me in that wats app group as well....as i am still new in this community so that would help me alot...I will PM you my wats app number

The purpose of Merit System is to weed out spammy members, and it seems to be working on you so far Wink

because i dont think many users care about giving merit to anyone.
Wrong, here's Merit Statictics created by Zentdex
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3082289.0

You can see from the graph the Mods and staffs are working hard to give Merit to ensure that Merit System are working as it should.
226  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: instawallet claim on: March 05, 2018, 10:42:26 PM
Boussac says that Instawallet were compromised and funds were most likely stolen so he had to close it completely.
Not sure if he's going to do a refund in 5 years, especially after the wallet itself were compromised.
But, if your amount are not much he might refund it from his own wallet Smiley
227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buying PP accounts from deepweb ? on: March 05, 2018, 10:16:44 PM
$200 loaded paypal account for the price of $55?
You know that's too good to be true, right?
Either it's a hacked Paypal account or it's a legit Paypal account but the balance comes from hacked Paypal/Credit Card.

You know there's a reason why it was placed on deep web on the first place Roll Eyes
I'd rather to stay away from these sellers, no guarantee when the account will be banned from Paypal.

If you need a legit Paypal funds you can hop on to currency exchange, many traders there with actual legit Paypal Funds than this sketchy Deepweb sellers
228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Struggling bitcoin will double by midyear on: March 05, 2018, 10:04:35 PM
I seriously get tried of following any popular or hardcore crypto investors because most times, they just seems to be predicting the price of bitcoin based on their own personal presumption. Or else they are part of the major manipulators (which we might not know either) I am not following up on their prices anyone. I have high impressions that bitcoin will make high impacts in the future, that is why I am holding.
Bitcoin price are always fueled with speculation and controversy Roll Eyes
Whenever there's a speculation that bitcoin will gain its momentum, it usually happens in a few weeks.
Same thing with controversy, remember Bcash fork?
People bought dozens of Bitcoins in hope to be able to get Bcash fork and sell it at later date.

In beginning of the year it is being observed that market do fall and during the second half of the year it starts to rise . So nothing new also in this movement so far. Yes cryptocurrency do require some positive news from the world across and this will boost both demand and price thus we will have the btc back again in 15k+  zone in coming time.
The price started to recover back again, we've hit $11,6k just a few moments ago.
If this keeps happening we should be able to hit $12k this week Smiley
229  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Question about Full node wallet and Electrum wallet on: March 04, 2018, 09:59:43 AM
Which fork coins do you want to claim?
Different fork coins requires different wallet to use, see loyce's guide on how to claim fork coin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2836875.0
Do note that you need to move your bitcoin to another wallet for security reasons.
230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Financing Using Miners as Collateral? on: March 03, 2018, 11:34:57 PM
Using Bank would be impossible to obtain your loan, they only accept gold or propert, They rarely accepts anything else.
Try Pawnshop, as suggested by poster above me. Although don't hope for a big loan, pawnshops tend to take your equipment for cheap.
Not only the demand for Mining Equipment are low, its price can drop easily after a new series of Mining Rig has come out.

If your mining rig turns out to be GPU farm, you can probably forget it.
GPU used for mining are in poor condition and can't be / hard to be loaned  Undecided
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges to use in Hawaii on: March 03, 2018, 07:03:53 PM
Through a quick google search I managed to find these websites Smiley
-Uphold
-Localbitcoins
-Hawaiibitcoin (looks sketchy)

Again, always do your reserach before trading, make sure you are trading at reputable website.
When doing trade in LocalBitcoins always make sure the Seller has big reputation.
232  Other / Meta / Re: Ranking System on: March 03, 2018, 11:21:34 AM
The best way is to take back this merit system and simply democratize the forum another way is to start a poll where members can vote in favor or against this system and the results should be implemented.
Did you know that the forum is centralized, even from the start Roll Eyes
There's always an admin who maintains this forum, first it was Satoshi and now Theymos.
When Theymos says that Merit system are here to stay, that's it, no point in arguing.
If the polling did happen, it will be cheated by alts anyway, it's fast to create a new account with 5 minute burner email Roll Eyes

You are free to leave/find your own democratic forum if you want Wink

The pursuit is over.
You have two ways to earning merit. First and recommended to write constructive post and improve discussion and second way is to try deceive merit system and upgrade your rank buying merit or begging for them.
Do the 2nd option and there will be a punishment by DT, this forum has many eyes Wink
Although, I did see a few topics that offered their merits to be sold, this usually happens on Local sub-forum
233  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Request : Bitcoin Vending machine for the poor ;-> on: March 03, 2018, 11:00:42 AM
This seems similar to this
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caff%C3%A8_sospeso
Basically, other people will pay for other people's needs, but your idea is to put it into vending machine rather than a coffee shop, correct?
Sounds good, but without any monitoring someone will probably abuse the machine.

How will we know that the person really need the item?
let's face it, this machine will be abused by people either by keep pressing the buzzer or destroying it with physical abuse Tongue
234  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Huobi Steal My Money? on: March 03, 2018, 10:15:35 AM
Money finally appeared... after much pestering.
Good for you, now we know that Huobi supports uses broken English, which disappointing for exchange as big as Huobi should be able to hire a native English/someone with decent English.
I mean, if they can hire marketing team with decent English, why not Customer Support Roll Eyes

Anyway, please lock this topic to prevent any future spams on this topic Smiley
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges are starting to reduce their bitcoin withdrawal fees at last on: March 02, 2018, 12:11:32 PM
Thanks to Segwit, the bitcoin transaction fee has finally dropped!

The lightning network has passed the field test, so we certainly hope to launch out of the chain extension solution earlier than originally anticipated, thus bringing a lower fee prospect for all.
Lightning Network are still at its infancy, there is still a lot of testing and changes to be made, but it could be the solution for Bitcoin's scalability problem Smiley

On other note, Bitfinex also lowers its Withdrawal fees by 25%
All thanks to Batching, Segwit, and Mempool being empty
https://verifiedtopics.com/bitfinex-decrease-btc-withdrawal-fees/

What a time to be alive, eh Roll Eyes
236  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Buying Bitcoin With Skrill on: March 02, 2018, 11:58:27 AM
Has anyone done business on this platform?
Nope, and I suggest to not use it unless you want to be a test mice.
As other has said before, the website is fishy with lot of typos and lack of information on their product.
For example, on their virtual card there are no information whether the card will be available worldwide, its limit and fees, etc.

I rather use other reputable service, better be safe than sorry
237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can i join a campaign? on: March 01, 2018, 02:05:52 PM
I think he got accepted in bitcoin signature campaign because he is wearing that decent signature campaign's signature and it also from yahoo but not the one I mentioned.
But OP need to improve his quality of posts if he want to rank up or else he will be in this rank forever,so no more spammers welcomed here. Grin
Yahoo will have to review his application first, if Yahoo deems his quality to be acceptable then Yahoo will confirm on Decent that he's been accepted.
That's basically how Signature Application works now.

I think you are a bit late because the campaigns have already reached to a level where they have a lot of professionals and intermediate level of the professionals, and none of the campaigns want to have the newbies at this time. Still I would say that if you want to earn, you can do that by having the accounts on social media like YouTube, twitter etc and try to get maximum followers from those accounts, then you can become part of those campaigns easily.
No one's too late to join a sig campaign, as long as the user has acceptable quality he won't face any problems to apply to any campaign he wish to.
That's why those who don't have a not so good quality will usually goes to Bounty campaigns, Bounty campaigns are more lax.
238  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin transaction issue on: March 01, 2018, 03:16:09 AM
They're lying if they said that the coins never reached their servers.
Either their Wallet are severly outdated from Blockchain or they are lying.
Coins sent 30 days ago will have hundreds of confirmation by now.

I'd suggest for you to push them by keep emailing them or open a scam accusation against them and post it on their social media.
Unocoin has severe problem with their customer support, there are many reports against them.

239  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can i join a campaign? on: February 28, 2018, 11:56:21 PM
If OP is still looking for a campaign to join then there is a campaign named KARATbank Sig &Avatar Campaign was opened recently by yahoo so he can apply there if he has enough post quality then he may be accepted.

Here is the link for that signature campaign : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3036499.0
OP's post are all one liner, I doubt he will get accepted on Bitcoin Sig. campaigns.
He'll likely ended up on Token Signature Bounties if the bounty managers wants his post quality or social media bounties.
Too many spammers and one liners these days, I'll tell you that Roll Eyes
240  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Did Huobi Steal My Money? on: February 27, 2018, 03:55:21 PM
It was pretty weird for Huobi Support to use a broken English.
But, if it really comes from Huobi, it'd be better to take their words and wait until their staff has processed your balance.
If there are no updates from them, you can tweet them at their twitter, social media are the best customer support if needed.
