221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank - Safely store your bitcoin on: March 10, 2024, 07:12:37 PM
Satoshi created Bitcoin because he wanted a currency that would be free from control by any entity, so having Bitcoin in a bank goes against everything Bitcoin stands for. Also, you're not the first with such an idea, the American banks association are currently seeking SEC's approval to start keeping Bitcoinin the banks for clients. I don't mean to discourage you but if you really want to support Bitcoin, this is truly not the best way.
Very well said. Satoshi didn't make Bitcoin for us to just entrust it back to the banks. Yeah, the idea seems to be a business potential trend but we don't have to avail such service when we can do it on our own.

It defeats the purpose of having Bitcoin when you have everything on your hand and then, you're going to go with handling fees and other fees that you have to pay upon availing the service.

I don't buy into this service because that's entirely not what Bitcoin is all about. There could be those people that are scared to death on how to keep their Bitcoins and might avail this kind of service but hopefully, they learn on their own that they shouldn't entrust their Bitcoins with anyone.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How bullish are we in this bull run? on: March 09, 2024, 11:35:01 AM
I have been one of those who has been doing DCA for a while and by default that has increased my portfolio value by more than 2x and this has been my biggest learning which is keep buying Bitcoin throughout the year and by the time of bull run you will have enough Bitcoin as well as profits.

When you say people bought due to noise they cannot preserve it as they will end up panic selling during market correction.
It's best to accumulate or DCA during the bear cycle or whenever there's a market correction. Even if we're already in the bull run, some corrections are going to happen and it's the best thing to have it when you're solely focused in Bitcoin.

That's okay to have mostly in Bitcoin and have some alts as this strategy have been perfect for me. While I see people that ignore Bitcoin and mainly focusing with altcoins, it's not a problem either but they're too dependent on those alts that might have been brought up due to pump and hype.

Unlike Bitcoin, the stability of it that it has got on the market is certainly not going to change whether we're in a bull or bear run.
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the point of registering on a CEX if you don't trade? on: March 09, 2024, 08:23:15 AM
Do you need KYC for P2P on CEX?
Whether you use P2P, spot, leverage or any of their feature. Think of it that most of them are actually requiring KYC nowadays. There are still a few of them that don't but eventually those will change their policies and soon will ask for KYC too.

How many are actually there that don't ask for KYC? the centralized exchanges? I think that we can count on them with fingers except those that are newly launched and don't that much volume at all.

But the majority of them, they will not allow you to proceed unless you will comply with their verification policy(KYC).

Also, I agree to yahoo that your buyin seems to be high. You might want to adjust that a little bit so that everyone can join that if you want to target to gain more audience and customers first as you introduce yourself in the market and into this community.

Quite surprising to see a new site trying to have grand launching tournament with such an expensive buy-in. The owner seems to have so high confidence that he will get enough players to join the grand launching tournament. Even if there is a chance to win Cybertruck but I doubt people will be easily attracted to participate in the tournament. It is better if the owner start from small amount first especially for a launching celebration, he can try free-roll tournament with smaller prize (few hundreds dollar) or maybe GTD tournament with cheap buy-in with nice prize where the owner add some amount to the prize pool so the prize pool will not be total buy-in only.
Yeah, there's a high confidence or his metric is just quite high and expects that most people will buy in with that amount. But as we speak with the reality here, there should be a lot of realization on this for him to see if it will go well. I'd agree about having a free roll tournament since he's starting out, this will surely gather a lot of poker players that will have interest to check the platform out.

Yeah I actually missed yahoo post and I know it was probably a mistake to start with such expensive buy-in tourney. We will do some freerolls and low buy-in tourneys.
Nice, that's good to hear. Actually, there are a lot of great people here with vast experiences into launching new platforms like him for which their opinion will surely have a great value and help to your poker site.

XG at game 1.

And as the game 2 is in progress at 20 minute mark, it seems that this is going to be an XG game again.

Its totally a bullshit. XG dominated map 1 and also dominated map 2 on early of the game which should have gone as expected but yeah they somehow lose the game. Well not that it really matters for me anymore on game 3 but its just frustating to watch that XG had to lose after dominating the early game again. I've said this few times, not really fond of SEA and chinese teams but I have a soft spot for Ame so totally would love to see him on top again to try and win TI
Well, while this game was already done. There's like this the same sickness of SEA and Chinese teams that even when they have been dominating at the early game, during the mid-game to late game, that's where they're choking.

On the other hand, XG was able to get into the playoffs together with the other three remaining team. But XG's bracket is on the lower bracket semifinal and they will be up against Team Spirit. While for the upper bracket, it's going to be BetBoom and Team Falcons.

Four teams remaining and what do you think about this type of formatting? The semis seems to be quicker to end but I like more the group stages because it has 2 phases and we're able to watch more games.
226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nexlub.com Poker club opening on: March 08, 2024, 01:54:51 AM
Thanks for the feed backs! While most poker sites are all about KYC and have location restrictions, our website doesn't need any of that. We don't care where you're playing from – as long as you're not pulling any shady moves, you're good to go!
I hope that you will be able to maintain that posture of your poker site to remain kyc free. Because no one can tell that you might change your position when you started to become popular as that's basically normal for any casino, poker site or any type of casino that has a niche in games.

Also, I agree to yahoo that your buyin seems to be high. You might want to adjust that a little bit so that everyone can join that if you want to target to gain more audience and customers first as you introduce yourself in the market and into this community.

It's been quite a while that I have seen a poker site that have became popular after swcpoker as the tables there have been filled but I don't know now, maybe you'll be the contender next to this niche.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 07, 2024, 09:12:00 PM
Your experience will help you out to control your emotions. It is important that when you gamble, you still have the control to your emotion because if not, worse things will come to you as you gamble.

You'll never know how much you'll be able to bet and lose when you're not on your right mind and you're out of control of your emotion. With that, too many gamblers fall to their own emotions because it seems unreasonable for them to control it when they can't think correctly.
Experience will not help some people but the result is gambling addiction. But for a wise person that has lost before, he should be able to know when to gamble and when not to gamble, also when to stop gambling he supposed to know that. Not able to control oneself while gambling will only make the person to gamble in a way he will always be losing all his money to gambling. You are not wrong that what will happen to such person will be worse.
And that's why those wise gamblers that have experience, it will help them figure out to make decisions properly as they gamble. Those that don't have, they will still gather those experiences for them to control themselves and have an idea on how the experienced ones control their emotions.

The goal is to ensure we are open to grab the important goals in the system and milking steadily without any streak losing measures. There's more confidence to be exercised when one personally depend on himself rather than focusing on other alternatives, more like the sources. There's always presence of derivation in the system. Gamblers will be attached to do the wrong things each time they lose focused in the system. Losing affects the mind and there's no better way of handling the situations down other than facing our fears and ensuring we grant the possible solutions.
Losing streak are normally part of someone's gambling experience. And from there, it will teach the gambler on how to control such emotions when he's too hyper and seems that no one is able to control him.

I agree that we're bound to do the wrong things but from there, you'll not always be glad to do it and that's why realization will strike on you about on how you should avoid getting into these ugly situations.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every time a new Bitcoin Block is found, US prints $69 million!!! on: March 07, 2024, 01:16:37 PM
They're going to make their own CBDC as per what the news have said about them making a new economy.

This alliance don't have their control over Bitcoin and that's why they might end up with the same thing as what US did, to print more of their money and have more supply. The thing is, to whom and which currency they're going to rely on.
They can create their CBDCs that are helpful for them to control and trace their citizens' money flows better with their centralized CBDC blockchains. For citizens, it's not helpful and more like fearful as they will have more observing eyes and tools to trace their money flows.

CBDCs help those countries launch it by that mean but CBDCs can not help them to solve anything in their economy.
Well, there goes centralization and it's like big brother is watching them at all times with these type of transactions. AFAIK, this is happening somewhere in countries like China where most of the payment processors there are controlled and monitored by the government.

Although, they're not owned but most likely the eyes of the government are always on them.

CBDCs help those countries launch it by that mean but CBDCs can not help them to solve anything in their economy.

See progress of some nations toward CBDCs.

I agree, it will not solve economical problems because it's such a wide thing to get considered to be solved by just this matter.

And, thanks for the links.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are some countries being sentimental with bitcoin and the cryptos at large? on: March 07, 2024, 11:09:38 AM
They are protecting their own government because Bitcoin is decentralized and they can't just rely on it just because we're too optimistic about it on what it can do economically and financially to individuals.

There are always safeguards that are coming from the government and even if us, as individuals sees the light and good things about it. There's always the different side of what the government can see within them.

But don't take them as in general that all of them aren't willing to adopt Bitcoin, a little by little, many are starting to realize what bitcoin can contribute to their economies.

How do we regulate our emotions while betting and how important is it?

231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: March 06, 2024, 11:52:12 AM
On this forum, I found out some information, and seriously want to ask it here.
What is a realistic expectation from the bull run, given  the last one in March 2021, Bitcoin hit  $61,000 and fell down to 31k about two couple of months later... It rose later on, amazingly though. But is this price fall normal in the bull run?? What is a helpful tip here.
I assume you're talking about the crash that has happened several hours ago and yes, that's a normal thing to see prior to bull run and halving. Even if we're already in the bull run, that doesn't mean that we're not going to see some corrections. Expect some bigger corrections because of how quick the price moved up for Bitcoin.

My tip for you is you just keep calm and you don't do anything when you see the crash happens. Otherwise, use that moment for you to collect some more Bitcoin because that's another window for us to buy before the higher price attains by Bitcoin.

Many have panicked and probably sold at losses because they're new to this but don't panic when you see these crashes because they're part of the growth of the market for it to reach another level of high.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every time a new Bitcoin Block is found, US prints $69 million!!! on: March 06, 2024, 05:30:17 AM
Let me not go off topic, can someone tell BRICS that bitcoin is here to solve there problems and they don’t need to create anything again.
They're going to make their own CBDC as per what the news have said about them making a new economy.

This alliance don't have their control over Bitcoin and that's why they might end up with the same thing as what US did, to print more of their money and have more supply. The thing is, to whom and which currency they're going to rely on.

From what I've read, it's gonna be with the Chinese Yuan (Renminbi).

They can still have control Bitcoin in terms of their market share but they need to hold vast of it compared to the institutions that are holding a lot of it so, the influence of theirs is there.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decentralized vs Centralized Gambling....Which do you prefer? on: March 05, 2024, 12:01:03 PM
Do you think decentralized gambling dApps will eventually replace their centralized counterparts? If not, why?
Nope.

Gamblers are used to the centralized type of gambling and that's why whether there have been a lot of innovation and interesting things comes from the decentralized casinos, they're not going to thrive and replace the centralized casinos.

Which do you prefer? Centralized or decentralized gambling? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Centralized.

I've tested a few before of decentralized but they're totally different. I think if you go back a few years ago, there have been attempts to penetrate into the gambling industry with decentralized projects but they weren't successful.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA: the power of little beginning on: March 05, 2024, 09:59:03 AM
Keep it up. People will never realize the power of DCA because they're thinking that it's just a small thing to do with smaller amounts. But they don't know that if they can't buy with a lump sum, this is the best strategy for you to keep on the market and stay by not having a miss of every opportunity that you may have.

Now, you have to be consistent doing that and if you've proven that to yourself, I'd say congratulations to you. You're just getting started and there's more things to come for you and to everyone who's DCAing. Because next time, the challenge is going to how you're going to start keep that. Some temptations may come to you and might push you to sell.

I urge you to have a decent long term plan and don't put your efforts into waste.
235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gold vs Btc on: March 05, 2024, 06:04:46 AM
I was in the same spot, wondering where to put my money. After looking into it, I decided on gold. It's been around forever and feels more stable. Gold is something you can actually hold, which feels safer than the digital world of BTC. Plus, gold's price doesn't jump around as much as cryptocurrency does, so it feels like a steadier choice for my money.
If you are not for the volatility, gold should be your choice. But if you are up with volatility and you like more the Bitcoin market and its instability in terms of value, you'd even like it more as the year passes by.

You'll see the gains difference are totally way far from each other. As the stability of gold is there and it has become the global reserve standard of most countries, you'll not have problem with its liquidity but tangible wise, Bitcoin is easier to keep. You don't need a safe for you to keep it and no one will know that you're holding Bitcoin.

Well, as for investing we always say about to each their own. We are in a Bitcoin forum and majority of the investors here are Bitcoin holders. But if you're holding gold and you want to invest to Bitcoin too, no one's going to stop you with that.

Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ?
Looking at the present, people that don't really like these people will say that they're fools. But if they're projecting long term and they know what they're doing and they've got a strong hands to hold on, they are not fools.

Is there chance of major correction from here as prices have already peaked now.
It seems that it has peaked but I don't think that this is the maximum that we'll ever get from this cycle. I do believe that there will be some correction but it won't be as major as it may seem to be because we're already in the bull run.

The peak hasn't been seen yet but we're close to the last ATH of 2021 and after that, this is where the part goes of how high it can go as the peak for this cycle.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: March 04, 2024, 01:13:12 PM
I also remember this through bustadice and in fact, you can check how much they have currently with the bankroll investment on their website and that's transparency on their part.

It works like you're lending your money to the casino and you become a shareholder of theirs. And when they're in profit, that's when you should celebrate because you're part of it and you'll get some profit from your bankroll investment.

Before it was really one of the best investment IMO but now on, it's still quite a good one but only invest your spare money.

Honestly, based on my experience, I don't find investing in a casino very profitable. It always depends on the amount you invested because with a small share of the pie (investment), you're not likely to earn a decent profit. In short, this is only for investors who have a lot to invest. However, back in the day, the most profitable kind of investment was investing in crypto, especially in altcoins. I think that is still the case nowadays; investing in crypto can still yield a decent profit as long as we know how to choose the right coins.
It became profitable in a sense before that it was too early. So the value of Bitcoin wasn't that much and as you receive the profit from your small share from them, you just get to hold.

So, that's dual purpose when you hold but I agree that nowadays, it's not really profitable at all. And even you're so optimistic about your investment there but numbers won't lie.

If it is showing you greater returns then that only proves that it is still profitable but based on the ones that have been investing on it before, and sharing what they think about it in the present. No longer profitable.

Anyway, Im backing XG -1.5 against OG tonight

XG at game 1.

And as the game 2 is in progress at 20 minute mark, it seems that this is going to be an XG game again.

Well , I think this is a quick 2-0 for Xtreme gaming against OG because OG is far from what they used to be and even if they have Timado as carry , this doesn't change much and we can see this by how they play.
They have to adjust with their gameplay because Timado just got in this Dream League and they don't have much time to practice. But it seems they're really going to get this 2-0 for XG.
240  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are still early in this bull run. Retails have yet come back massively! on: March 03, 2024, 08:13:51 PM
Wait until the halving and we'd for sure going to have that sequence about these trends where all of the people at all ages will start searching on google about "how to buy bitcoin", "is bitcoin a good investment". You'd see that but we already have some signs already and that's the Coinbase having a glitch on the very first few days of the skyrocket.

It's true that we're still early and there's a need to wait until the bull run comes. Stack for yourselves and we all have been doing that for so long but for the people outside the forum, I just hope that most of them have their own plans and time to buy soon.

The peak of this cycle will be the most interesting thing on this history for this cycle.
