221  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] CryptoCircuits Signature Campaign - Earn up to 0.15 BTC for 50 posts! on: August 05, 2015, 08:33:05 PM
I've applied (and been accepted) and have the same bad bbcode problem with the hero/legendary sig.

Used the standard one for now so let me know when it's fixed and I'll update it
222  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CloudThink.IO NEW 8TH/s Imperator Bitcoin Miner - Apply for a FREE test unit on: August 04, 2015, 10:52:16 PM
Why does this "miner" have a DVD Drive?
Maybe it's a superb design feature, you can watch movies on the screen or listen to mp3's while it mines Smiley

No way can 4.8KWh be cooled by 4 fans in a ATX case.
The BFL Minirig was about that power usage and was HUGE with 9 fans IIRC, not to mention the fact that getting 3x 1600w power supples would fill most of the case anyway.

If it looks like vapourware and it smells like vapourware then...
223  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PCI-e replacement cables for modular EVGA PSU series? on: August 04, 2015, 09:08:31 PM
I used Shakmods for cables on my KNC gear, designed specifically for certain PSU's the EVGA being amongst them, an example...

224  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.4.0, the GUI/monitor for CGMiner and BFGMiner to prevent downtime on: July 29, 2015, 06:54:27 AM
I really like this and CGRemote but sadly i don't see me renewing my SUB to remote next month because of a lack of updates and no real DEV  any more.

It's sad to see this project die, both programs were fantastic and I paid quite a lot of money for my cgremote licence due to the number of machines. Mine already ran out though and wasn't renewed for the same reasons.
225  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: H/w Hosting Directory & Reputation on: July 28, 2015, 08:52:48 AM
Hello mining friends,

which is the cheapest Housing Center in Europe?
I would like place a Antminer S4+ with ~ 1500w
Or the best way would be if I could order the Antminer S4+ dircectly right there to save shipping and duty costs :-)

Best Regards
Willi

did nobody know a hosting center in the EU?

The problem with Europe is that most countries will charge import duties or vat of around 20% that takes a big chunk out of any potential profit.

On top of that the electric rates and therefore the hosting costs are a lot higher, it is possible to get some better rates but that usually means large numbers of machines.

Send it to the USA, it'll take 1 day longer to get there, no import duty and lots cheaper electric.
226  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (or so we thought) on: July 25, 2015, 08:45:21 AM
I feel absolutely no sympathy for people who are owed by bitaffnet.

Me neither, It was a scam from the start & was rightly called out by many forum members a long time ago. People who chose to ignore the warnings from other pool operators, software devs, hero & noob forum members alike only have themselves to blame.

I've defended bitaffnet quite a bit in this thread so may as well chip in.  I agree with xstr8guy, the warning signs have been there for a while so no sympathy from me either, but I completely disagree with blarneystone's comment above.

It was NEVER a scam from the start and it's probably not even be a scam now.  What people were warning about was that a PPS pool with no fee let alone one paying a bonus was not sustainable long term which is true, but that's not the same as a scam.

Anyone who has used this pool from the earlier days will have received way more than they would have got elsewhere, so it's a funny scam that loses money for the operator and makes a profit for the victim.

I stopped mining the first time my payment was delayed more than 7 days, I briefly rejoined once the backlog was cleared but left for good the second time this happened, this was months ago hence why I agree with xstr8guy

To s0br: Sorry it didn't work out well for you, but I appreciate the efforts you went to.

if i ever see sam cole I will punch him in the dick,

that is a promise

make sure to get pics/video and have you bitcoin address available ...post it on this forum...you will do well imho Smiley

(To Sam Cole lurking in this forum..honest Sam I'm joking...Ha Ha....Really ....the whole post easily complies with KNC ethics in all ways...trust me) Smiley

I think that a reasonable compromise, would be to promise to only punch him in the dick with 5% of your available power  Tongue
228  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 15, 2015, 11:18:10 PM
They will get enough buyers from people who are just desperate for a new toy and don't care.

That would be logical if they were selling single units, some people maybe even me would buy one just for the hell of it.

However with a 100 minimum order, that's going to be $120,000 and you'd expect people spending THAT much to do some sums, in which case it's not a toy it's a garbage disposal for your money Smiley
229  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Brand New 110,000KHS Scrypt Miner. Limit Stock Available. Act now! on: July 15, 2015, 11:11:37 PM
after all this time  even until this moment still absolutely  nothing ... just alot of words ... but there is nothing in her account!

One time post, this thread has been derailed enough

It was explained multiple times, and the figures were there for everyone to see, maintenance fees were higher than the income, so revenue was 0 that is the risk with every cloudmining operation that charges maintenance fees.  It's why cex stopped and even hashnest had a brief period when they weren't profitable.  Indeed companies like hashnest cancel the contract if 10 days go buy with no income, it appears zoomhash don't do that.

Having said that if the contract is still active, it should be making money at the moment

14/7
Income : 83 * 0.00036 per MH = 0.02988
Maintenance : 83 * $0.06 = $4.98 / $285 = 0.01747
Payment : 0.01241

Please give me your offer. I am desperate at the moment for a GPU.
I'd take £160 including next day fully insured shipping, so you would have it Tuesday.

Escrow through squall1066, OgNasty or SebastianJu all of whom I have used before without issues.
232  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] GRAPHICS CARD! UK/EU on: July 09, 2015, 10:34:56 PM
I have 6x R9 290's, I think 3 are sapphires and 3 are MSI's they are identical so you can pick if you have a preference.

They were used for about 3 weeks during the initial dogecoin boom and then turned off when all my asics arrived and didn't have the power to run them, been sat in the boxes ever since.

In the UK and lots of history on here, escrow is fine, open to reasonable offers
233  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [CLOSING] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: July 02, 2015, 07:33:24 PM
Thanks for everything and best of luck with future endevours.

You can keep the BTC and NMC that are in my account as a donation, same username as on here.
234  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: June 11, 2015, 09:13:15 AM
I feel a bit betrayed...
they took the money in preorders and grew on the backs of the small miners
now that they are at other level, they say: adios!
....

Isn't how business are supposed to grow? Do you know another way? At least they didn't went full retard mode like KnC did.

Indeed, whilst it's sad there is no other machines for home miners, SP have been a beacon of light amongst all the other scummy companies.

Review of RMA

Ive recently used the RMA KNCs program and i wanted to make a real review about it, because we can read lot of things on this forum. I think that lot of peoples make fud and dont have Knc miner at all. So..., i needed RMA because one of my cube had difficulties... Ive send this cube with a tracking number. It cost me like 250 $CAD to ship it to Sweden (Yeah really expensive in Canada like lot of things...). It took about 2 weeks and a half before i received it. Since i use the new one, i have absolutely no problem with this cube.

Overall: 9/10 (because we need to pay the fucking shipping cost when we send stuff).

How do you start the rma process? Phone call? I dont see an email address for RMA on their site. How long is their warranty? I have batch 2's

Vegas

Just send an email to support@kncminer.com

Had my second RMA last week, and both have been quick and painless (I'm in the UK which helps speed things up)
236  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]419$ the sales promotion of hosted antminer S5(golden psu included) on: May 15, 2015, 10:37:02 PM
I have no access to anything that allows me to see it anyway, just going by my own stats. Where are people viewing this downtime, I have emailed in and got no repsonse.

This is the Miner Monitor site, http://www.sprocess.com:10000/Bitcoin/Login.aspx.  If you have not logged in to this site yet, your Username (Mobile/Email) is your email you used with the Lee Group, and your password is your Lee Group forum username.  Li sets this up for everyone.  Once you log in, click on the Miner Monitor link on the left hand column of links to get to your list of miners and status.  I had trouble using Internet Explorer when I first tried; none of the internal links would do anything.  Li suggested trying a different browser and it worked with FireFox.

Thanks for the information, tried to log in but no joy, tried the new user registration with my existing details and I'm now in but no miners listed Sad

if anyone donot receive the compensation of April, send me a PM and i will check with our employee

I never got a compensattion till now - plus I have no records for the 6 days downtime. Can you have a look at it please.

Same here, never received anything although until the last month the uptime has been good enough to not bother about.

238  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S4+ available for global sales on April 20th, shipping within one week on: April 20, 2015, 08:48:10 PM
Even at 5c power and no import taxes, it's 250 days to break even, at 10c it's over a year, not much point adding the figures for the UK Smiley

239  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: April 20, 2015, 04:52:37 PM
A nice run of luck in the last 24 hours might start to make a dent in the backlog of payments Smiley

It's now 35 days that my balance has been outstanding Sad

240  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: March 21, 2015, 11:41:17 PM
Speaking of shares, has anyone looked into the trading history.

Announcing a succesfull chip (BE300) and making everyone think that everything was proceeding to production, on top of the failure to mention anything about the mining farm going *cough* missing are both things that would keep the share price higher than it should have been.
