221  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Discussion] SEC (Draft) Rules on Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: August 10, 2019, 08:57:52 PM
Interesting.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have? on: August 09, 2019, 10:01:25 PM
Now that the market is bleeding, our patience will be measured again and those hearts will start pumping so fast every time we look on our portfolios went down for more than 30%. Panic selling starting to rise and a lower low can be expected. How do you control your patience in a red days like this?

It's really hard to control if your portfolio is not spread enough that you still have a small profit from other coins, if you only rely on one coin and that coin started to dip you will be disappointed because all your hope rely on only one coin, it's different if you have a balance portfolio.
It’s a good idea to have variety of investments in our portfolio but it is also difficult nowadays to predict which of which among the altcoins are gonna give us hope. If we look at the suggestions and opinions other people in this forum have, they suggest to invest only in bitcoin because so far, it is the one that stood through the test of time and still at the top until now but like what you’ve said, it is still sad if you only have bitcoin in your portfolio specially during the time of famine (bear season).
223  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can We Expect A Legally Compliant Bitcoin Bank Soon? on: August 09, 2019, 09:12:39 PM
A dream, and a distant one at that. Fiat banks are already fully-operational, and can pretty much integrate the things you mentioned into their platform. Crypto-only banks would struggle to make its footing in the financial world and would be having a hard time to get some operational profit, knowing how limited their scope is and how little their target market is compared to commercial banks.

Also, bitcoins and crypto are aimed to make people their own banks without relying to third-party services, so..

And besides, there would be no point for crypto investors to store their cryptos in the banks if they will be charged for storing it there so they will find it difficult to find clients and I can’t figure out in my mind how they are going to give interests to crypto holdings since cryptos especially bitcoin are too volatile. It would be better to keep them safely in their own digital wallet with no other hands controlling it.
224  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction Contest - Birthday Thanks giving on: August 04, 2019, 09:29:58 PM
Wow!
225  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bounty Hunters Pinoy Meetups? on: August 03, 2019, 09:55:14 PM
Hi guys sa mga bounty hunters dito like me, wala bang existing meet ups which will bond us like a community or something tapos we'll be sharing ideas, experiences and tips para sa mga newbies at sa mga gustong sumubok pasukin ang cryptocurrency?

Not a good idea. Really. Haha. Wink You can get all banned if someone knew this. Pero eto may kaibigan ako support sya KYC, kita nya mukha and documents. Natatawa lang ako kasi yung iba dinadaya pa e. So kung kaya nilang gawin, tayo pa kaya? Mayroon pa ngang chances na pinaparami yung accounts nila for farming (not naming anyone but alam ko mayroon ganto). Kung meet up lang go. Kaso nakakatakot naman yan. Hindi mo kilala, a stranger from the internet. Malay ba nila kung ano yan diba? Di natin masabi baka gawing modus. So di sya advisable.
Nakakatawa lang diba dahil third world country daw tayo.
226  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Pensionado Card - Best loyalty Cryptocard in the Philippines on: August 03, 2019, 09:43:11 PM
227  Economy / Economics / Re: On Bitcoin and old-timers on: August 02, 2019, 09:25:22 PM
You are probably pertaining to older people when you said old-timers and not old-timers in bitcoin. The oldies are quite conservative. They always think how hard they earned their money so I think this is one of the reasons why they are always reluctant to put their hands in crypto while the millennials are more easy go lucky. They are more risk takers. The oldies listen to rumors they hear and most of them are close-minded too and also the computer issue as it been mentioned above already.
228  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: EU Warns Malta of the Dangers of Ignoring Money Laundering on: August 02, 2019, 08:35:45 PM
Quote
Steps like this seems to help make the government quite happy in how to handle crypto and manage risk in countries. Would you agree? What else do we need to implement or be sure to watch out for?

I'm not sure as to how Malta would respond - they are probably raking in a lot of revenue since crypto businesses prefer them as a destination as opposed to countries with stricter KYC/AML requirements in the European Union.

There is no incentive for them to tighten their rules too much, although they obviously need to prevent the clear cut cases.

This warning could have for sure been sparked because Malta is seen to take away business from the rest of the countries in EU, when it comes to regulated/licensed bitcoin businesses, while the warning about AML may only be what's happening on the surface.
The crypto community maybe raking profits but if there is no definite regulations imposed by the government there might not be no benefit for them (the government) But for the sake of awareness on money laundering in the part of the people. If this laxness in Malta will continue people from tightening countries might move to Malta to enjoy this freedom.
229  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Pagbagsak ng ICO on: July 28, 2019, 08:13:59 PM

IEO boss baka pwedeng dagdagan mo to kung ano to kasi ngayon ko lang talaga to narinig.
230  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction Contest - Birthday Thanks giving on: July 28, 2019, 08:02:21 PM

231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank Of China Is Promoting Bitcoin And It Sounds Very Bullish! on: July 28, 2019, 07:42:21 PM
My brows are meeting each other as I think about it  Grin
A month ago we been hearing news about China planning to abolish bitcoin mining, now we are hearing news like this. I really don’t understand the hidden agenda behind this propaganda they are making. They must be after something big, we cannot tell, China government might planning something big about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption, just guessing.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unforgettable Gambling Stories... on: July 26, 2019, 08:58:13 PM
I know this game. Of course the man cheats but your eyes cannot catch his hands moving so fast and I think he is also distracting your attention by his movement and talks. This is also so addicting. Mine was when I was a teenager yet also in a festival/carnival. Throwing coins on a board where the board was full of squares and each square has corresponding prizes written. It was not easy to shoot a coin in the middle of the square since the size was almost same size with the coin. If your coin dropped inside the square, you won the prize written in it but there are also empty squares. It was fun but it also finished all my pocket money and I won only 2 glasses that are made in China  Grin.
233  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga dahilan ng mga deleted posts sa forum on: July 25, 2019, 09:29:56 PM
I should avoid posting starting from I think, and I agree, LOL..
I have some deleted post also, like you it has also reduce my post count.

Thanks for the tip anyway, I had no idea until you posted the possible reasons.

234  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PSA: You can buy from Shopee using Bitcoin on: July 25, 2019, 09:22:54 PM
Pwedeng straight up Bitcoin, pwede rin through Coins.ph funds niyo(faster, obviously).

Kung mas mapapa gastos kayo dahil dito sa balitang to, pasensya. 🤣🤣

235  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help in creating marketplace, such as Amazon but with crypto payments only on: July 21, 2019, 09:28:34 PM
I’ve seen several projects related to yours that had conducted ICOs already. Buy and sell your products for crypto. They also can sell their own made products or their used items for crypto. I like the idea, you know, people may not always have money but some have crypto and they want items but cannot buy due to lack of money but with this they have the options with which to pay.
236  Economy / Services / Re: [TO HIRE] someone with good english to make posts on: July 20, 2019, 08:53:23 PM
You must planning to launch signature campaign, you need to be specific and follow procedures in hiring participants and making a proper announcement about the service you are going to offer. You can hire someone who is experienced in this area to manage the work for you.
237  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Help Wanted on: July 20, 2019, 08:45:31 PM
I need some people to take over a few projects, please send me a message or post on here with relevant qualifications etc etc...
You should be specific on what are you looking for Ex. Developer,Designers,Marketing and also you should not easily believe to those Pajeets that would PM you or either post up into this thread
about their fake experience or qualifications.
He's asking for "Help" which I believe usually mean something that would be done but would not be paid for. Sorry OP, it's hard to find good developers even by paying money, you're asking such help for free. Pointless. Post your project here maybe someone interested in creating their portfolios will be interested.
He didn’t mention it is free though. He is asking for people who will take over projects. Projects are to be taken over so its impossible it is free. He just need to be specific in his needs so people can reply accordingly.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congress: Bitcoin Is Unkillable And Unstoppable! on: July 20, 2019, 08:34:18 PM
Must be a sensible statement since proven already. It is good that bitcoin is not owned by anyone or any institution but just freely roaming around and anyone who would want to kill or destroy it will find himself hitting the air.  Grin
239  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-18] IDEX set to begin transition period for KYC and AML compliance on: July 20, 2019, 08:05:25 PM
I’m thinking what could be the future of cryptocurrency, supporters want them survive but are being choked slowly by this regulations. This new step may seem to be ok for IDEX according to their statement but it will surely affect their income as well as with other regulated exchanges. I will not be surprised if one day I will hear exchanges shutting down because they are losing clients.
240  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-07-19] U.S. Regulator Probing Crypto Exchange BitMEX Over Client Trades on: July 20, 2019, 07:53:20 PM
Quote
BitMEX Chief Executive Officer Arthur Hayes said in an interview in January that BitMEX removes anyone who flouted company rules barring U.S. residents and nationals. However, it is possible clients masked their location by using virtual private networks to assign their computer an Internet protocol address from a BitMEX permitted country, tricking filters put in place, Hayes said.
This is the case here, even if he stated about removing any US residents and nationals it is still possible that some made their way there through private virtual networks and it makes BitMEX subject to the accusation, besides the fact that they also have office in the US. It seems that putting their main office in Hong Kong is just a way to avoid regulations but then their are still hooked by having one in the US.
