221  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Brexit' could trigger World War Three, warns David Cameron on: May 10, 2016, 10:11:12 PM
This is an interesting line of reasoning. I somehow struggle to see how it's going to turn Europe into a rabid pit of hate but I'll retain an open mind.

If the UK leaves the EU, German companies in the UK (that means about a half of the remaining UK industry) have to pay taxes in the UK instead of pumping the money to home. Merkel would be furious. That would screw the financial backing of her savage breeding programs, so she would surely unleash her Tigers Leopards... in worst case she might even unleash all three Leopards what they haven't already sold for scrap. Terrifying outlook. Isn't it?
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LOL Antonopoulos Destroys Banks’ Blockchain Delusions Once Again on: May 05, 2016, 09:45:00 PM
Like it or not banks will jump on blockchain technology, not for distracting the more naive bitcoiners but because of it's useful for them.
223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mexican Congresswoman Wants to Ban Internet Memes on: May 05, 2016, 09:35:36 PM
Probably she still not get it what is this Internet thingy at all Smiley.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 02, 2016, 09:04:31 PM
He can come here and prove his claim in an open and honest manner. Until that not happened I considering this whole "breaking new" thingy as yet another rumour.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitFury to partner with law enforcements agencies globally on: May 01, 2016, 09:40:17 PM
It would be a nice feature for bitcoin if I could choose who should process my transactions. That would give us full financial freedom and that would be the end for BitFury like "traitors".
226  Economy / Lending / Re: Veteran in Need of a .5 bitcoin loan (have collateral) on: May 01, 2016, 06:19:46 PM
Just a quick question. If you have "televisions, furniture, jewelry" why you don't visit the nearest pawn shop? That's a lot quicker and easier.
227  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.85 btc loan. WAVES collateral. on: May 01, 2016, 06:01:04 PM
WAVES is still in ICO status at this moment, the devs do not even have a solid launch date yet. The planned launch for the testnet is "2016 Summer", therefore the live launch could be anytime in Q3-Q4. Also the WAVES guys probably going to restore the account in the case of "forgotten password" or "hacked PC" if the original owner can prove ownership by sending a message signed with the wallet from what he made the original payment. No offence to OP but this collateral is pretty much the same as e.g. a Steam account or something similar, so be careful.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency with many consensus methods to avoid centralization on: May 01, 2016, 04:33:58 PM
If you can encourage spending - therefore wider distribution - instead of hoarding then yes, that would be interesting and a valuable feature. Perhaps demurrage (or negative PoS "earnings") on long held coins (like freicoin), combined with "Proof of time connected" to reward stable nodes and PoW for transaction processing. I'd also put a Proof of Service into it, what would reward real word services according to customer feedback and also could be a sort of escrow service.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe to pump hard after the halving? on: May 01, 2016, 04:01:35 PM
I have to disagree because you don't understand how close they are too a release of the MVP. I know a lot of people want to disagree and say they've heard the same song and dance before but they are... LOL!!!!!!!!

Being close to something and actually delivering that something are two different things. I do not dispute that maidsafe is a pretty interesting stuff with a good potential, but again, potential and actual usage are two different things. As you can see from the price the majority tend to agree with my views Wink.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin crashes? on: May 01, 2016, 03:33:34 PM
BTC could disappear tomorrow and ALT coins with strong communities would continue on.
LTC & Doge would immediately become the main trading pairs instead of BTC, and not because they hold anything special,
it is just they already have Fiat trading pairs setup , so they would be switched to the quickest.

Crypto Revolution is underway, it does not matter if one falls, another will takes it's place quickly.  Cheesy

Dream on Smiley. Bitcoin is the only trusted crypto today. If it falls, the trust in the technology itself will fall, and it will take many years to rebuild that. Maybe in 10 years when other coins gained traction, you will be right but not in these days.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth bubble has popped - Will you be left a bagholder? on: May 01, 2016, 03:26:04 PM
It's a bit too early to bury ETH yet. Until the devs and the ETH community keep delivering something what might or might not useful (updates, dapps, contract templates, whatever) they can keep alive the feeling of "one day in the future ETH will be the next big thing". People like religious stuff, especially if it promises physical wealth in a few months or years instead of something distant otherworldly spiritual wealth Smiley.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe to pump hard after the halving? on: May 01, 2016, 03:12:59 PM
No, it's not undervalued. It worth exactly what people willing to pay for it without having working services behind it. When it will have real, working, widely used services then it will worth more. But not yet.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: Could Bitcoin be the New King of Currency? on: May 01, 2016, 03:05:50 PM
Indeed, backing a coin with a commodity isn't an easy business and mostly needs to be centralized. There was one notable exception: URO coin what was backed by urine (it's actually a valuable raw material https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urine#Uses) what is a rather distributed method Smiley. URO later turned out to be a scam - maybe the devs developed kidney problems and had had some difficulties with backing their product - but still the best and most community driven approach what I've seen Smiley. Also liked the idea of pissing money Cheesy.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are looking for people, who might be interested in one project on: May 01, 2016, 02:49:26 PM
How you can "inject" the tipping app/script on Youtube or on other social media sites? Browser addon?
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Africoin Report: Libya on: May 01, 2016, 02:45:34 PM
Interesting. I guess Libyans may also see BTC as a safe way to keep their savings, since the dinar isn't a stable currency, and you don't need a safe to store it like gold. But you need reliable a Internet connection. Can you get that in Tripoli, and is it affordable to the average guy?

If you want to trade altcoins, you can use Poloniex.com it works anywhere in the world.

As I read since the start of the troubles there internet prices increased a lot and the connectivity isn't good at all, but bitcoin doesn't need a high speed connection if you don't want to sync the blockchain. In addition, as someone mentioned earlier it's a lot safer than carrying cash or precious metals.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Guyzz! How about this Bitcoin idea? Part ▲2 on: May 01, 2016, 02:35:55 PM
OK. You persuaded me. Faucets are are really wasting of time Smiley. Even a noob friendly signature campaign paying more per comment that clicking through 400 sites (+ bonus) as I see Smiley.
Anyway if you start your site you will see from where most of your clicks are coming. After running it for a few weeks you can see who are your "income generators" and who are the "ballast". Then you can optimize your site accordingly. That 40 sats per click bonus most likely will give you some competitive advantage over other sites If you do some good marketing.
237  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you come up with a better Ten Commandments? on: May 01, 2016, 01:44:59 PM
Here's an other one after giving a hand to friend with fixing his laptop:

Thou shalt not touch HP Pavilion laptops... :/
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving Bitcoin Reward Unlikely to Cause Price Surge on: May 01, 2016, 12:54:28 PM
To OP. This is a way too mechanical view, what ignores the psychological impact of the halving.
239  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Illegal Muslim prayer hall blown up after police find explosives inside on: May 01, 2016, 12:31:43 PM
if this news is true, having founded explosives in a mosque is really horrible thing for sure.. i dont understand muslim people because they are saying that islam is a religion of peace but their acts dont represents their sayings .. so ridiculous..

Well, actually Pax Romana is also a sort of peace, just at first you have to get rid of those who could break that peace...
240  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Illegal Muslim prayer hall blown up after police find explosives inside on: April 30, 2016, 04:55:11 PM
Wondering here... did they move the people out first?

Perhaps they were also deemed to be too dangerous to taken out and let them to blend among civilized people Smiley.
