2201  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: February 12, 2016, 06:15:17 AM
Investing in altcoins could be a good idea, I'm looking to invest in bitcoin Classic when the hard fork is complete. 2 MB blocks FTW! YASSS!
2202  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade house for 1 bitcoin on: February 12, 2016, 06:14:07 AM
Over here in Australia, it's about 1 million buckaroos for a decent house or a decent location. I'd say any time after 20 years from now would be good.
2203  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: February 12, 2016, 06:11:21 AM
Bitcoin isn't backed by an asset, a company or any regulations to keep it stable. It's one of the cons (or the pros, depending on your perspective) of an unregulated market. The only way for stability to come is adoption. The more people, the more stable.
2204  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: IM DONE! on: February 12, 2016, 05:39:32 AM
Aw... I see a butthurt newbie!

Smart people know where to and where not to invest. Instead of telling people to stop, tell them to think twice. Because no one will listen to a newbie.
2205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying Riot points (League of Legends) using Bitcoin ? on: February 12, 2016, 05:13:29 AM
Buy one of the gift cards that LoL accepts (subway I think) and you cash it in using the code. One problem is that I don't know where to find these gift cards for bitcoin.

You could pay someone to do it for you.

I found a tutorial speaking about doing that but Subway gift cards are simply not listed on my payment methods , all I can see is Visa , MasterCard , American Express , Paypal & CashU .

I think you are able to cash in a coupon code/voucher somewhere, and subway gift cards are compatible. This is from my limited experience of LoL, me being a FPS kind of guy.
2206  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Cryptsy 1000 BTC bounty legit? on: February 12, 2016, 05:10:38 AM
Most probably a pile of bullshit. Cryptsy is having withdrawal problems for people withdrawing more than one bitcoin, how can we trust then to give away 1000 of em?
2207  Other / Meta / Re: what is potential acitivity? on: February 11, 2016, 09:25:03 PM
potential activity = max activity (increases by 14 every 2 weeks if you made a post in that time period.).

What I don't understand when will it become sr. member or so.Is there a calculative timeframe?

get the current potential activity using some service (I recommend this one) then look at this list of activity periods start dates.

I didnt understand the first chart, thanks for the second one, its really interesting, good to know my potential profile

It's basically how much activity your account could have, if you posted up to that much. But it hasn't posted that much, so it had less activity. If you buy it and post more, it will become a senior member.
2208  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Steam Games][DLCs] Discounted 20% [Steam Store][Steam Sales] on: February 08, 2016, 12:22:24 AM
I had a smooth trade for a copy of CSGO!

He went first, I'll highly recommend this guy.

Howd you come into possession of $500 of credit? I am aware of PayPal cashbacks and am aware of my game being deactivated.

2211  Economy / Services / Re: Need a trusted person to relay a small parcel for cheap! on: February 07, 2016, 07:52:11 PM
Why not buy it from local store? It is popular brand and they should have some in stock!

Id love to, but the replacement reciever is only available in the united states' store.

Shitty, innit?
2212  Economy / Services / Need a trusted person to relay a small parcel for cheap! on: February 07, 2016, 07:08:52 PM
Hey guys, I recently broke my Logitech G602 mouse dongle, and I really need to find a new one. The problem is that Logitech does not ship to Australia, and postal forwarding is expensive as hell. So if anyone could recieve my mail and relay it to me in Australia, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please state your price and I'll see if we can make a deal.

Found out there's an international seller on eBay, but I might keep this open for offers until I actually purchase it later tonight
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 07, 2016, 04:39:11 AM
I store it in a Ledger HW.1, which is basically a Trezor with a laptop as a screen. It's super-cheap, at only $15.  I'd totally recommend it.
2214  Other / Meta / Re: Quoted Posts Notification on: February 07, 2016, 02:25:15 AM
nope. there's no such feature on this forum.

That's a shame.  Well thank you for the info, I wanted to be sure I wasn't overlooking something. Smiley

I've been wondering this for a while too, and it should be in the forum software, or at least in the new future software. I've been quoted too many times and only realise a week after, when it's too late to respond.
2215  Other / Meta / Does Theymos use a proxy/tor network to access bitcointalk? on: February 07, 2016, 02:09:56 AM
As the title says how does Theymos access the forum? Because theoretically if he didn't use for/a proxy, we could find his identity? Not that it isn't known, due to TF Smiley
2216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do with ill-gotten Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2016, 12:45:25 AM
You could use multiple bitcoin mixers, like shuffle-shuffle.io and bitmixer.io, put in random time delays and user random fees to avoid amount-based searches.

You could then convert into something else.
2217  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk under attack? on: February 07, 2016, 12:35:28 AM
I haven't experienced any difficulties with the site, it's smooth as butter.

Maybe it's you guys in the US with the bitcointalk us servers down?
2218  Economy / Reputation / Re: When leaving trust for known Alt's of other users on: February 07, 2016, 12:20:15 AM
Negative for scammers, neutral for all others because people deserve to know about potential scams.
2219  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [Steam Games][DLCs] Discounted 20% [Steam Store][Steam Sales] on: February 06, 2016, 11:42:01 PM
If you can do CSGO for $5, you have a deal with me. My friend wants to buy either CSGO or 3 TF2 keys, and I have the means to buy tf2 keys for 1.8, so I can spend less by buying keys. If you can beat the 3 key price, ilu buy.
2220  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying Member account on: February 06, 2016, 11:32:03 PM
I can sell you a member account of mine for 0.04 BTC, I don't really use it much and if I remember correctly it is a potential full member, PM me if you're interested.
