I'm currently in fourth position, because I had a terrible week, I score just 6 points, If only I had done better, I might have move up a bit better, but I slowly losing my knowledge of the league, maybe it's high time I start watch their matches again because asides Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, I really don't watch any other matches from the league with occasional exception if we have fixtures like Athletic Bilbao playing teams like Sevilla or Villarreal.

I know 4th position might not be so bad, but If I don't keep up the pace, I'll surely drop only further down the pecking order.

I scored 7.5 points in this round, haha, we are close (including in the final standings - I am in 2nd place). There are good days, there are bad days, that's okay. There is a long distance ahead and sooner or later there will be a good result with forecasts "at random". For example, I don't have much time for analysis right now and I make simple predictions, but the last round in the Serie A pool was unusually good for me.

And maybe I should pay less attention the league then in that case because I seem to be doing worse by trying to follow the news and how teams line up and expected odds etc it would seem that bookie odds on the day itself seems a more accurate way to adjust predictions. I am trying to be very consistent, not to predict too many upsets but it's not working anyway!

I know Coppa is not Serie A but I hate Inter so much right now. Amazing yellow caps and amazing contention in this pool, it's strangely the pool I am highest in and the one I know the least amount about.

Or maybe these days nothing is strange.

If you're feeling bad, here is something to cheer you up Smiley

Chasing yields and profit is probably the most important thing to avoid. I made that mistake in the first year, getting so caught up in investment and chasing ICOs and following so many projects.

I invested so much effort and time to download wallets, help to mine even and even contribute so much to projects my own work was suffering. I took as few shifts as possible, I didn't focus on myself, didn't train extra, skipped all the additional learning. Even did not play as much sports.

Truly, Bitcoin is for buying and holding and using. And focus on your life, do more to advance your jobs, health.

Keep active and interested in crypto utillity and enjoy the discussions to keep your spirits up on Bitcoin (not crypto lol).

There is no "right time" in crypto, especially not so soon after ATH Wink

Look at it this way: FUN gives you Premium benefits, so that's something you gain immediately. I kinda wish I bought/locked much earlier because I honestly don't mind coming back after days or weeks of being inactive and seeing a crapload of free spins to play.

And even if after a year price deteriorates you have the interest to help keep it stable. Don't like the price? Relock again Smiley
There is a saying "Best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, second best time is today", that's what FUN token is about as well. It would be better if you bought and kept buying and also locked and earning FUN token the moment freebitco.in went into that, right now we would all have a lot of it.

But that doesn't mean that we should not do it now just because we are "late", we should keep doing it no matter what, which would allow us to make a lot of profit if we start now and in 3 years. That's why it's quite good and I would definitely support doing it. The best thing to do in this case we would be working hard to make sure that it all works out for the best.

That's something I find really hard to argue with. I have said in the past, don't expect to make profit from FUN alone. We're not traders or speculators, we're gamblers. FUN does have some utility which is proven though so I do see a lot of long term demand, provided the WoF and interest rewards don't lower (WoF did lower which was unfortunate but let's hope they keep it that way).

So you dump your BTC into FUN, just enjoy Premium for years, and you'll not regret it. But if you're NOT using the site features regularly, FUN becomes a worry. So don't put yourself in that situation Smiley
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 10, 2023, 01:07:46 PM
Was it really Mourinho who made the cup games "exciting" again?

I don't think it was Mourinho.I know that in England FA cup is the most valued cup by all the teams because they a couple of other cups going but not as famous as this one, this is the most important one,we saw that with lower league teams beating the hell out of Premier League sides and this says a lot about the importance of such cup.You may think that these Premier League sides underestimated the value of this cup but this is not the reality, the reality is that they were found unprepared during such matches and that is why it is better to bet both teams to score rather than money lines here,a lot of surprise results.

It was so important even in Asia that before satelite tv came with all the live shows, national TV and radio even broadcast FA Cup programmes including prematch discussions and it was a big thing that everyone would play to win.

It changed after Champions League qualification was more "valuable" than FA Cup (which doesn't qualify you).

Also lower side PL teams prefer to fight survival (and keep earning more money) than to win FA Cup.

I definitely think some teams no longer value this cup.

I climbed 1 spot! 0-0 draws in La Liga are not usually what anyone picks so most of us disappointed:)

Damn, can't believe it's already semifinals for Supercopa, my brain is somehow still lagging and thinking we are actually less than halfway thru the season.
Well, actually first half of season didn't ended yet, now there is just 16 rounds played. In recent seasons Supercopa is played in January, since they signed contract with Saudi Arabia. Previously Supercopa used to be season opener.

Yeah in recent seasons January is midway through the league already, at least I seem to remember that, I know the World Cup just pushed back some things I'm just still somehow really really lagging in catching up with football and other sports. Feels like I miss football when it's gone, but when it's back I feel so tired lol.

Hey everyone,

How has the new year been treating you?

So far so good, I was checking out your Twitter as there was a nice #TriptoSweden video for the Race to Luxury promo. You guys do everything so well!

Then found out my Twitter account was permanently suspended by Elon Musk, not that I miss it but it was weird as I hardly ever posted only used it to read Twitter Smiley Maybe all my crypto likes in 2017 lol

Anyway hope you guys managed to enjoy a small break, it's a tough job you're doing to keep things running smooth while still promoting Bitcoin + crypto together even in this "winter" season Smiley

2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 10, 2023, 07:38:35 AM
Seems I'm going to try pay attention to some of the picks here as I failed miserably in my Coupe matches yesterday. I know cups are never quite the same situation as league games because of different stakes, but usually in France you feel that the favorites are way too strong for lower leagues (and yet upsets happen all the time).
We always have the feeling that a team playing in a superior league is always better than a team playing in a lower one until we see the opposite result happening. It will be more shocking when a top team in the first league is defeated by unknown one!
Clermont, Nice, Monaco failed that way Lips sealed

It's not just a feeling, or it shouldn't be a feeling because numbers don't lie and league positions and performance over the years don't lie, but you're right, what we don't see happening is: lower division teams play 3x better as they want to go far and get more money and fame, while higher division teams play almost none of the first squad and don't even mind losing.

Clermont and Nice you kind of expect but Monaco, shakes head.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 09, 2023, 12:59:22 PM
Fulham is actually in great shape lately, and even this squad was good enough to beat Hull

I have to admit I really underestimated this team, even knowing that their main striker was coming up from the lower league with a good scoring record. Seems like a much cheaper but equally effective "Benzema" who can play even though injured and still comes up with all the goals.

Since Manchester City has been dominating the league, the FA Cup and the League Cup have been the only hope for any other top six teams to win a trophy. I recall the FA Cup and the League Cup being a competition for bench players and academy players until Mourinho started fielding his best players for the competition and there was a comment he made ( i cant remember) that made other top clubs start fielding their main squads as well. Arsene Wenger was the only manager who continued to use feeders until things started to get tougher

Newcastle's lost to S. Wednesday... This is insane; I guess Eddie Howe underestimated the Wednesday and was punished for it. Grin

You forgot that League cup has also been dominated by City and we have to thank Leicester and Liverpool for making sure they don't win FA cup last season also.

Was it really Mourinho who made the cup games "exciting" again?

An expensive victory to savor for sure, but it was always going to be plenty of suspension threats if you visit Atletico so I don't think anyone will be too upset. Dembele saved the day, and we have a tiny breathing space!

I think this is the right time to buy FUN because the price is already cheap and continue to collect it on freebitcoin to be a premium member to get other benefits, just waiting for the crypto market to be bullish again so what I buy now can generate profits in the next few years

Hey betwrong, nice to see you here too again, as it is nice to see your post in the other thread we are active in. Or I have been away for a while like twice recently and nice to see familiar posts.

Extra nice to see you won some free beers from Bitcasino Wink

My problem with x199 wins or whatever is, I always "regret" not puting in a bigger wager. My personal biggest win was $25 chip put equally on 0/1/2 on Roulette from a casino promo (and it hit 2) and I STILL felt like I should have put it all on 2!

Not so much surprises in the FA asides of the Newcastle one, but a lot of surprises in the Coupe de France, Monaco, Nize, Clermont out against little teams.

If anyone catch that odds can make a good profit.

Liverpool losing at this moment....

I did terrible picking Monaco and others in those upsets for such bad odds but I thought it was just going to boost my other selections. And then in this one I did nice FA Cup wins, but also failed in Coupe de France matches and of course stupid Inter Sad

So I caught terrible matches in the end.

I just hate Valencia, they are on my blacklist but there simply weren't enough games yesterday so I gave them another chance since the stake wasn't that big anyway. Never again, watched second half and that is a team I am not trusting in the near future. They always find a way to screw my tickets. There is couple of clubs like that out there and I must admit I am much happier when I skip their games, both when betting or choosing what to watch.

Just so damn useless that team but wait, didn't we agree all of us that Valencia and Sevilla long ago entered our blacklist? I also made the same mistake early in the season, making both teams in my bets.

Yesterday also made terrible terrible picks in French cup games to mix with my Spanish games and almost everything went from worse to even worse. Monaco. Never trust them also.
2239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you change your name to bitcoin for 2000BTC? on: January 08, 2023, 07:11:20 AM
I've definitely heard of people changing their name to some nonsense crap for a couple hundred dollars. I even read about someone who tattoed a company name on their forehead for some small money too.

For some, that amount is more than a year salary but the fun fact is these guys who did it would earn more in a month if they actually had a small sense of wanting to work.

This is the kind of thing that makes some people think of Bitcoin as a fad Smiley

Also may I just say RIP to Gianluca Vialli, a truly elite striker.

RIP Vialli also, he helped Chelsea get their glory days before big money came and he was every bit as important to the national squad in its heroic days of recent times,

English teams are caring about the FA Cup quite much. Because of this they are starting the matches with a lineup close to their main ones. So the probability of seeing a surprise is lower. Today Tottenham barely managed to advance to next stage against Portsmouth despite having star players like Kane and Son on the field. I see Hull City having a potential to make a surprise today. I won't be very surprised if they eliminate Fulham.

For sure, for non big teams (big 4 or big 6 I can't remember which one to use now lol) this is a nice route to get a lot of money and playing time, plus also Europa qualification which is not bad if you don't trust your league position.

Fulham are on top of Hull but personally I think there is less chance of upset from teams who played recently in lower leagues like Fulham or even Leeds, whereas Spurs and Chelsea etc always seem to act surprised playing against tough teams who don't give them space.

I can be wrong of course, you are more right looking at today's results:
Bournemouth lose to Burnley
Nottingham Forest lost to Blackpool

Shock or not? Bournemouth no, because Burnley is #1 in Championship league and Bournemouth #16 in Premier League. Blackpool big shock yes, only won 6/26 games in this season!
