1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: May 15, 2023, 09:42:39 AM
Well, social media is kind of manipulative in some cases and just ignoring some will surely not harm your knowledge with the F1 but you got to truly find the real ones to you can ignore the news, I am more into history, and digging up what has happened to certain drivers like what has happened to Michael Schumacher that I think he is in a vegetative state right now and his family don't want to let Schumacher be out of the public,

While Leclerc is kind of the silent guy and always kind of a supportive teammate to Carlos Sainz, throughout his career I think fans want an Identity of their own and be very hungry in being on the top,

Well will look further into that pool for now I think and the price is in free bets? I will think about it 1st,

Social media is 100% manipulative... but isn't Schumaker actually already awakened? And that's something I never like to follow in any sports, the personal lives. Anyway, fans like me like teams, rather than individuals, of course we appreciate different personalities even.

Some people like Ronaldo, hungry and alpha, some people love Messi, more quiet and modest, I'm sure 100% the same in F1. I like Schumacher types for sure, hungry and yet not over the top.

Pool has real cash prizes, but every week can win freebets, AND even sports merchandise. Also winners go to real sports games with the casino in real life, I was invited once but I cannot travel but many forum people have already won Smiley
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: May 15, 2023, 08:29:14 AM
had a real trouble to find this topic, and yeah, no one wrote anything for almost ten days
but Valencia win in Celta was good enough to put this topic back on first page

Alberto Mari header few minutes before end was good enough to get three points, and those three should be enough to secure avoiding relegation this season
onwards to last four matches, and better next season

We should all do better, to be honest I also try but sometimes it's just me back to back and I think the forum mods don't like that (I had posts like that deleted in the past ).

Anyway, well done Valencia, of course I'm happy my own team is already crossed the line safely, but except for celebrations that probably could have been done better.

What can be better than winning La Liga title at stadium of your main city rival after simply destroying them? Probably only doing same thing at Santagio Bernabeu can be better Cheesy. Anyway, this season leaves mixed feelings. Today we saw face of Barca that we missed in many games this season. Dominating, high scoring, not winning games 1:0 without making many moments and having some luck. So, congrats to all Barca fans here. Visca Barca!
EDIT
It's a bit sad that game didn't ended 4:0 and Barca let Espanyol to score twice, but it doesn't matter anymore. And what a shame that Espanyol fans attacked Barcelona players while they celebrated title. But what else you can expected from these rats. I hope that this shameful club will relegate to Segunda and will stuck there for long.
And Atletico - have no words about them today. They looked amazing recently, scoring 3-5 goals in recent games and now they somehow managed to lose against Elche who already relegated maybe few months ago.

I definitely think Bernabeu celebrations is way way better.

Indeed, a Barca face that's rare. Lewandowski going crazy. 4 goals, and then letting in 2 lol.

Good afternoon everyone and good luck in the final round!

I know I'm out but I still hope I make this my virgin win, it would be a record I don't want to be the only one never to win a single round in the entire season lol. I made a few picks I normally don't, so let's see if that helps.

Watch out Div 2 here I come!

~ But that doesn't make sense at all. mempool was actually going up since January, because that's when ordinals started but we saw the biggest price increase in such a long time.

Also if there is no btc in exchanges, shouldn't price then be higher? Less supply?

I still think it's because of USD increase, which is now higher strength in a month's high versus euro Smiley

But what do we know right??

People don't like it when they need to pay over $10 for a single transaction, and when it's getting even worse they they start losing faith in BTC, and the price drops. Old timers, they saw it before, so for them it's nothing to worry about, just an opportunity to collect cheap satoshis, but apparently there's a lot of newcomers. But I think we can see over $30k in the end of the month because there were over 300k unconfirmed transactions several days ago and now that number dropped 10% to 270k. Those who bet on this range

Trust me, newcomers are not using Bitcoin that they are using transactions on chain with a real wallet. Just look at this forum, a lot of people talking but who's actually paying people in BTC? Who's actually sending each other BTC with their own wallet?

Even me look at my example, I'm sending BTC from FBC to my other gambling and vice versa mainly, I'm not paying $10 for a transaction.

Newcomers get scared and sell from news they hear, not about network fees they know nothing about.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | SFs on: May 14, 2023, 11:13:53 AM
Juventus better not progress, they totally don't deserve it at all the way they played.
People saw that Arsenal lost to Lisbon, Barcelona lost to United, United lost to Sevilla and so forth. By that I mean people saw that there has been a lot of changes and a lot of stuff and that is why it looks like it is something normal and not shocking. I realize that it is not going to be that much of a trouble and I know that Sevilla will probably lose but after seeing so many unexpected results, I feel like people are trying to get themselves ready for anything they possibly can.

It is going to be something normal to have, and not going to change much if Juventus wins which is what we all assume, but if Sevilla wins, nobody would be shocked about it neither, that is going to be a normal situation as well. So betting on this game is a bit tough.

What on earth are you going on about man lol

It's normal, not shocking, something normal, getting ready for anything they possibly can. You're not new to the gambling subforum but you still manage to not contribute with your posts Tongue

Betting is always tough, but we're all looking for different things in gambling. Good odds? Some flaw that bookies overlook, like Sevilla being good no matter what in Europa, despite their shit performance in La Liga?

I have not decided yet who to follow between City and Real but for sure Inter is my next horse for the other semi 2nd leg. Home team, 2 goals ahead. They will be stress-less and will play their natural game which is defending the score. Doing that will bring them some chances for counter attack and they may find few times their ball in the back of the opponents net.

Yes I'll probably be betting on the team with the bigger odds whether it's Inter or Real, City will surely still be favorites, but Milan can also turn things around. Maybe Inter+Lukaku goal is my pick but let's see first.

Camavinga not playing is bad news, he was really good in the first leg...

Wow guys, did not think I would see BTC go down this low again, but it has. I thought now US isn't going to raise interest rates things go back to normal plus there is worry of recession.

On the other hand nice to collect more satoshis, and I might get tempted to exchange my 2000 WOF spins if we see 10/11 satoshi again per spin hehe.
I don't think it's because of interest rates or because people are worry of recession. But more probably because Bitcoin mempool was saturated and transaction fees were very high so people couldn't send their BTC to exchange in order to sell them. Now fees seem to have lowered a little bit, it let people to send their BTC toward the exchanges and to sell them. So I think BTC price could fall a little bit more, if mempool continue to be drained. Good luck for your 2000 spins.

But that doesn't make sense at all. mempool was actually going up since January, because that's when ordinals started but we saw the biggest price increase in such a long time.

I indicated before that Sevilla were underestimated by bookmakers when we checked the odds of the match. I wasn't expecting them to give up easy and one of my score predictions was 1-1 which really happened. Sevilla were nearly getting a win there if it weren't for that last minute header by Gatti. He was like a savior for his team maybe but I don't see any team saved still.

Because Juventus were really bad in the first half and the second half wasn't very good either. They wasted so many chances at the same time. Sevilla would surely like to control the game in Spain to finish the job. I think they will do a pretty good job about that.

Good to see you here and believing in Sevilla, but the odds turned out to be right after all, because it was 5x for Sevilla and 2.5x for a draw, and the draw actually happened.

I have a terrible experience with Sevilla and Valencia in La Liga, I managed to cut my losings with Valencia but somehow I am tricked by Sevilla again and again Sad

Juventus better not progress, they totally don't deserve it at all the way they played.
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 13, 2023, 08:16:39 AM
Based on my few years of experience on this forum, where supposedly we are all made of Bitcoiners, I really don't think there are that many people at all who use BTC.

100% and in the gambling section that its really easy to see, you can measure that by the ammount of people talking divided by the ammount of people who really take part on pools, sahring bets , etc.

Now you said it, that's exactly it. I am sure even worse results would happen if you checked to see the amount of people talking and the amount of people who actually use Bitcoin for other than trading/speculation. In fact, I prefer people use Bitcoin for speculation than not at all.

If you live in Asia try sending America or Europe some money or if you work abroad and send money home. Big big fees, big big delays, and sometimes stuck if the bank is a crap bank.

Well, this its completly true, a lot of people have a occidental way (and its ok because they live there) to think and they can access easily to the banks international transfer etc, but in the rest of the world that its not easy, its really complicated depending on what country you are and also how much money and contacs do you have, in that part, crypto its very very useful to bypass that limitation.

The funny thing is in fact it is not so much a problem of where we are in Asia. In my country I work in, I can send immediately to neighboring countries, and for almost free. It is when I send to America or Europe the problem becomes fees and delays, and my banks tell me they processed it already but the accepting bank is the one taking the time, and the big fee comes from them, not our banks!

The same if people in Asia work in Europe, they send money home, the banks over there charge huge fees to send back and then if you call the bank here, they say no, the other bank has not sent it yet.

This nonsense shouldn't be happening in 2023 Smiley Thanks to BTC, boom, done. Except when high fees like now lol

This will help you're making informed selections about whilst to buy and promote.

I would also recommend ignoring posts like these that don't even teach you basics of trading, and confuse you with bad language that seems to be translated by machine.

"whilst to buy and promote"?

OP doesn't even know what he's talking about and then he's trying to teach "basics"??

Hello, slaman29 Long time bro,

I really think F1 doesn't really need to learn anything from the past or the present to have knowledge of F1, but I really love to know more about the past what has happened to F1 and those unlikely accidents that happen previous champions, and the most wins right now,

Well, right now Red Bull team is still leading the pack, while Fernando Alonso had many podium dominations in the 3rd place right now while Charles Leclerc has 1,

Sorry, I am not playing in there well I really don't know the link, or if I have seen anything at all, but I will look for it,

I kind of agree. F1 is not like football because in the end it's the car, and the driver, but the history seems to be replaced more and more these days with social media nonsense. I mean, I get it, we have to be modern and follow what the fans follow, but I feel like if I turn on football I can still see mainly news and tactics and stuff. Same with tennis.

But if I look up F1 or MMA, first thing I see is nonsense posts lol or maybe Google is being biased anyway.

Leclerc is bitter pill for any supporter, and so far I'm glad I followed the "history" of this season as in past results. I will keep doing so for a while as it works well for me.

Yes please play in the pool Smiley I'm "top" there now, enjoy while it lasts lol

Milan, Napoli, Inter, are just impossible to predict, Inter probably played their best game of the season considering how bad results been in different weeks.
I used think Napoli was my bad luck but it seems both Milan and Real brings me bad luck too. Real vs City was hard to predict for me and I was lost in both Milan match too resulting nothing to get from the semi 1st leg. Hopefully in the 2nd leg I will have some lucks.

I'll follow Real again I think, I have been disappointed too many times by Spanish teams this whole past weeks aaa!!

Let me be honest with you, slaman29. I put my picks for the second leg today and I admit that I'm a terrible fan. While I was so positive about my team before the 1st leg started, I re-watched the game this morning and realized Man City really dominated the match. It's just because the referee was so soft towards Madrid players after they made countless fouls yet no card given to them except Kroos (that was nasty foul obviously) and Camavinga. In the end, for the second leg I decide to favor City to win, but deep in my heart of course I hope Madrid can turn the table  Undecided

Haha ah I didn't know that Real deserved many cards, sometimes I like that, obviously referee needs to be smart and show early cards sometimes to control the match later on. I know City always dominate though but it doesn't mean anything if you pass hundred times side to side in front of strikers which is normal for City. I've seen 80% domination and wasting of time for them, typical for Pep even Barca did that before, and lose deservedly after dominating 90% but making no serious attack.

1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 12, 2023, 08:04:40 AM
Problem now is to plan ahead of what you need and to just leave btc alone unless you want to get things stuck.
I had no idea what was causing the network congestion, and thanks to OP for starting this thread.  As to your comment, slaman29, I sort of agree; I don't know how many people actually use bitcoin to buy things, but I suspect it's a small but nontrivial amount.  There's probably not much a bitcoiner can do to avoid this shit--network fees have been crazy before, and it happens from time to time.  Right now if I'm not mistaken, some of said congestion has been relieved, no?

Honestly, if you're going to be buying anything using crypto through a payment processor you're probably better off keeping some litecoin or doge in reserve since those are usually accepted as well.  I've always thought bitcoin was a much better investment vehicle than it is a currency, and this nonsense is doing nothing to sway my opinion.

Based on my few years of experience on this forum, where supposedly we are all made of Bitcoiners, I really don't think there are that many people at all who use BTC. I'm not saying it's bad, but I'm active in gambling and I think I can know the same people who really gamble with BTC, the majority are just spammers.

Same in Bitcoin Discussion.

But I know some deliberately use BTC because they love the coin and want it to live. I get inspired by that, so I also use BTC just when possible, unfortunately this is not a lot of times.

However, as you said it is small but nontrivial, so it is enough that a few people use it, and it means the few nontrivial are affected by fees.

It's definitely not as bad as it was when first became an issue but big enough that if you pay some things you have to pay fees more than the item.

Somebody in a thread I am active in pays subscription for VPN and that's a few dollars. If the fee is same as that, not worth.

What you said about investment rather than currency I partially agree. For me BTC is like a remittance or wire transfer. I don't use it a lot compared to swiping my card or QR code or whatever. But for me depositing BTC into a casino, or sending BTC to some friend, or receiving BTC, or even shopping online, it can be nicer and cheaper to do, and for sure in terms of remittance, way way faster.

If you live in Asia try sending America or Europe some money or if you work abroad and send money home. Big big fees, big big delays, and sometimes stuck if the bank is a crap bank. It's definitely been useful for me as a currency, unfortunately I don't have enough to say investment, more like savings Smiley

Anyway I picked a UCL special bet before the game and won it from the freebet I got in UFC sportsbet promo. I feel tomorrow would be a good day for me.

Looks like we thought alike, I took 2 specials on that game and the other one was for Benzema but all in all I won this one same as you, just smaller amount.

I'm glad I skipped last night, a similar bet but they only had 2 corners in the whole first half!!

Very interested in tonight because I have one on Sevilla Wink
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Liechtenstein is considering to accept bitcoin for government payments on: May 11, 2023, 09:29:01 AM
" It is worth mentioning that the politician failed to provide details on whether Liechtenstein intends to embrace BTC as a legal tender, similar to what El Salvador and the Central African Republic did in 2021 and 2022, respectively."

Problem is news is using "legal tender" quite interchangeably and kind of missing the point on what legal tender actually means.

See even making it law doesn't mean much if the underlying tech doesn't allow it for normal people, it can even backfire, like in El Salvador and CAR.

I remember everyone saying in Japan it was legal tender years ago but it actually isn't. Legal tender means it is issued or regulated by central bank, in all my understanding.

Unfortunately he doesn't play in the pool. You can find the pool participants and Superbru usernames in the first message of the pool. I hope he decides to join us next year. Smiley

Luck is always the biggest factor in this kind of contests. Besides I think you know something.

Ah yes, somehow I forgot we have that for F1. Actually a good idea to do that with all the pools, most people like me use the same name but some have completely different names. For me it's nice to know the guy I'm competing with is the guy I'm also talking to on forum Wink

I know something for sure but honestly only what I can read on main back page newspaper. When I make the picks Superbru gives you history of last performance so that's all I follow Smiley

Well done jayce for getting precious points in your top 10 fight Smiley

Thank you slaman29, it was not easy to pick draw result on my favorite club but I tried to be realistic. However I'm pretty sure Real Madrid will win the second leg in Etihad.

Me too, I have nothing left to play for in the pool but I'm still putting my picks in, and maybe I will put it opposite of my bets to help push it towards a win.

City looked really good in control, but without control they look like any other bad team. GL to you, it seems you meet Inter?

Man, I can't believe I'm still in a good position in F1, without even following anything or learning anything new lol

But it's a long season for sure and I know there are lots of dark corners around, so it's never gonna be enough to depend on results of last race to predict the next.

Yugin are you also playing in the pool or just discussing here? Just curious which one is you if you are there.
