Handicaps are very hard in multibets I think, too much near misses.

Yes it is, but when you win you get a big multiplier. Look at how weak the odds are now for simple wins by outsiders (I'm not even talking about favorites) - now is the stage of the season when most teams (Real, Barcelona, Napoli, etc.) can lose simply because they don't really need a win, or because that they are exhausted and cannot (Arsenal, Borussia, United, etc.) therefore odds on a simple result are unfavorable. It seems to me that in such conditions it is necessary to take more risk and either bet on an outsider or take a bet with a handicap.

You're totally right there. I had now on my current multibet still alive Newcastle who won big, and then also Atletico (but usually I don't trust them to win big).

I'll try a bigger handicap multibet if my next 2 ones lose, try for lower games and bigger odds instead.

Now only I rarely make less than 5 games because of insurance :p

I am in an equestrian country, culturally there are about 6 racetracks throughout the country.  And at the time when sports betting was not what it is today (Internet) horse betting was king.  So they are not frequent but whenever possible we leave a bet to "place".

Well, my Country is not an equestrian one, but Horse racing is pretty much popular among gambling and dates back to the mid-18th century and was the past time of some but right now I don't often see people watching on their television anymore, and betting into horses, here it vanished just like that or it is now limited, I really don't know what happens,

I actually didn't realize how big horse betting was also where I now live and work, but apparently the racing goes on every week and people (rich people lol) go to watch. They are not shown on TV or even reported much but it's pretty big from what I hear. Something that grows bigger and yet becomes less known, funny right?

In other countries it goes beyond horses now even dogs and camels and everything else are racing. But still it is horses as I guess they also have their jockeys.

Well done rdbase for being the only guy to have faith in Leclerc, too bad he didn't go all the way Sad

About the race, i have to say, for me it ended be a really boring race, another procession, yes we have always that expectation of "anything can happen" or "look now Hamilton its on Sainz DRS zone" "now Alonso its more close to LEclrec", "Verstappen its gonna push in the final", but in the end were all a big WHAT IF?, WHAT IF a SF its deployed?, What if etc...

But no one happen and a boring race with ton of expectation.

I didn't watch it but I definitely agree there was too much hype for this. Supposedly street racing means all kinds of risk taking and speedy behavior but in the end more or less we see Ferrari disappointing and Red Bull conquering, the placement didn't really matter so much.

It could be unpopular to say but hard not to see Smiley

Congratulations to the semifinalists of the first cup Smiley And well done to Harko for appearing even though now you must withdraw for wrong official results hehe hey at least everyone is paying attention!!

I will check the questions a bit later before dinner, so I don't screw up everything. I need a win and I want to leave it to proper odds calculations.

Which I actually did before and still drew, but never give up right??
1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2023 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2023, 11:30:55 AM
I'm taking Leclerc podium for 1.80 odds.  Smiley

Opinions?

If you look at pure odds alone, looking at top 10 betting, seems like a good choice. Pole is always good for me above 1.5 if they were originally expected to finish top 10 anyway!

But the problem for me is not his ability but his machine. Sprint and pole don't push the car to the max for a long time. Ferrari is unreliable, and to me has 10% chance of breaking down during race, which is high!

So far so good for you anyway it is almost a quarter and he is in second place, Sainz in 4th, good luck to both Ferraris Wink

Don't do the bounty hunter thing, LeeBet. That's a guaranteed fail for you. You won't be able to identify the hundreds of scammers who'll just use bots to post your stuff. So you'll give away tokens, and get nothing back, in fact, even get a bad reputation for posting all the spam.

And that's just the beginning.

Later if the tokens get to list, you'll see all these accounts send tokens to one big account, and then sell everything to dump your price.

Stick to gambling promotions and find the actual gamblers of this forum to participate.
1567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know it that market is speculative on: April 30, 2023, 08:49:16 AM
Every market is like this. Except maybe if you are investing in bonds or investing in stock index and holding for decades everything has risks. Look at real estate.

People last year and 2007 assumed that real estate will always go up and look what happened right after. And real estate is suppose to be considered a very safe investment. Nothing is safe from risk. Don’t invest more than you can lose.

Exactly. People just keep forgetting the first "caveat" of investing. "Every investment is a risk, no guarantee of profit".

You find this written on official investment documents, the very first thing in fact.

And the recent economic crisis taught us that reminder.

Government bonds the most low risk right? Returns after long long time right? The US bank collapses were caused by their risk exposure to government bonds. They were forced to sell to get liquidity and lost billions.

Nothing is safe from risk.
1568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: April 29, 2023, 09:44:29 AM
I've missed the qualifying, but I've just seen the highlights ( https://youtu.be/7QFluV5wV4I ) and:
* it looks like we might have an interesting race between RBR, Ferrari, Merc and Aston
* I find interesting the performance improvement McLaren has shown, but it may be only caused by the slow corners of the city circuit

Today is sprint race day, I'm looking forward to that. Since everybody had a lot less time to practice and configure the cars.. it may be interesting (and obviously the race too).

I almost totally forgot about this race but I saw I put in my picks way early already so missed the action but at least it does look really like this could be a challenge for Red Bull.

I like the idea that everyone has less "practice" so we get more upsets, although I did make picks according to last race favorites lol
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: April 29, 2023, 07:41:15 AM
It is very disappointing to guess the main "mystery" (Brandford's victory) but lose a multibet due to outcomes that were included there only for the sake of increasing the odds. It's good that I didn't have a similar disappointment from my free bet, take a look:

By the way, now it seems to me that it makes sense (when choosing favorites) to take a handicap. Because if the favorite is unpleasantly surprising, then in any case it is a loss, but if they win, then everything is likely to go "like clockwork" and the handicap seriously increases the odds.

You said it the way I felt it. But to be fair Chelsea losing to a decent team isn't really even surprising anymore. I think they along Liverpool as together were last season's finalists in two cups, this season are not feared by even the weakest team.

At least Real and Barca are still feared, but if we lose the way we both did this weekend as a habit, the fear factor will disappear.

Handicaps are very hard in multibets I think, too much near misses.

@rdbase views from scammers and spammers are harmful, though. If I am a genuine new person checking threads out, I would be concerned to see many posters who don't actually gamble or know the sport and yet comment Wink But anyway, check his trust settings and you get what I mean.

@famosos I didn't know you took horse betting hehe. Deductions is when the race you bet on is still going on, but some of the horses named will not be racing.

@slaman29 you could have bought a lot of FUN tokens to enjoy free interest from locking them as making 400k RP is wagering a lot of money and you would not lose anything over the long run,you could lock the FUN for just 30 days and reap the rewards month after month but the fact that you got 400k RP and 0.01 Bitcoin is a great achievement also.

Yeah I know Smiley But I feel like 400k satoshi on interest is good enough. It wouldn't be enough to buy me next level of Premium anyway, which btw I unlocked 180 days for 9 WoF Wink I already have 50k fun so it's a big jump to next level, I think I'm fine with this. Another 170 days++ and I get full benefits plus the 25% from my longterm FUN.

3 more years after that and I get the next level free lol

Not good news for Southampton but there is still hope. If Aston Villa can turn things around I believe so can Southampton. Only problem is to beat Newcastle, Forest and then Fulham in a row is the way.

I deposit bitcoins for betting here. I was especially hesitant to bet on the Manchester City vs Arsenal match tomorrow. Actually I am not very experienced in sports so I can't make good decision for betting. That's why I couldn't bet on tomorrow's match. Still I know why I think Manchester City will win tomorrow's match. However, I was hesitant and didn't participate, so it was a good thing. I will prepare for the next matches and hope to get some good information from you.
That title race match ended over 48 hours ago and it was a high scoring one so picking the majority of whatever those who have followed the thread in the past would have been the correct choice for a bet.

Careful of posts like those. That's most likely a spammer. Does not even know what he's talking about. And if you look at the post history it is all similar posts that kind of mean nonsense. Bought account and tagged with nonsense spam on football threads. Says he wants to get good information but clearly is not reading or even betting. Really hate those kind of posters and best to ignore and not give them attention. Fill up space with no contribution  Angry

So guys, after seriously wagering some money for the last two days I think I finally understand what's going on with how the "bonus" cash works. At least, in wallet, there is a bonus amount, and this must be wagered whatever amount and progress is shown.

What I don't really understand is what goes into bonus and what goes into wallet directly. Hourly wins for highest bet and highest wager seems to go direct into wallet as I won both that in an hour (30 cents + 60 cents) and I see 90+ cents after the prizes are distributed direct in wallet (which contradicts the Announcement message of 6 April).

But the daily prize of $50 for example goes to bonus which requires something like $3500 wager to unlock, which feels like a lot Wink

This is the kind of thing that needs to be in a guide, and needs to really be explained like stat stat! Smiley
1574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im trader new here but in the trading quite long Im looking for partners on: April 28, 2023, 04:02:16 AM
If you knew how to even make 5% a year on trading on your own for every year you have been trading, you would be the most famous trader in the world.

I hate to repeat myself all the time but if you're a new account, and you can't even bother spelling properly in 2023 when spellchecker is free. Then why should anyone trust you with 1 single cent?

Sometimes people show me this kind of stuff and it seems more common in crypto these days and it's so hard to argue how scammy the space can be :p
1575  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is something big happening behind the scenes that no one is talking about? on: April 27, 2023, 11:15:42 AM
Interesting points but I don't think it has anything to do with regulations per se.

Mainly, because this type of thing is common with every casino. Start off with high bonus, end up with almost no bonus. They got what they want from marketing and don't need the big promos anymore.

Secondly Stake is always kind of shady, they do a lot of fake influencer promos, and the "bonus" is quite bad. If they are being investigated it's because of that.

Thirdly, I don't see promos being lowered at more reputable casinos or at least the ones with proper license. Still getting very good promos and rewards at my favorites Smiley

Congratulations to dbshck for beating me, All the big teams let me down this week, and the only time I chose to go against a big team was City and I lost that.

Good luck to all cup players still alive.

BTW if you guys want to put in a sports that everybody probably will struggle, why not golf?? PGA starts today so too late but next week is $20,000,000 PGA tournament Wink
1577  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: April 27, 2023, 08:56:59 AM
Don't worry Arsenal fans, City was too strong. This wasn't a wobble at all, to me, just a presentation of the true nature of teams at the end of a season.

Now just go on and win all your games and see if City can keep up.

See you in Champions League Smiley

Who else thinks Chelsea wants to try for relegation spot?

This bet is looking pretty good right now, Brentford scored their 2nd goal and 10 minutes play time left so it now breaks down on wether Barcelona will be able to win against Rayo Vallecano or not because Rayo has scored their first goal. Kinda unexpected considering Barcelona only has been conceded 9 goals out of 30 games prior to this one

Unfortunately my greed in Barca has cost me. I was also thinking we might concede a goal but not 2 goals, and not to Rayo lol

Anyway it was a freebet so I don't lose anything, instead I gain regret for trusting in sides too much to squeeze out some extra winnings
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: April 27, 2023, 07:25:04 AM
Of course after Real cost me two tickets, Barca cost me an even bigger one.

I should have just stuck to Brentford alone but being a freebet, the winnings was going to be less than the odds, (minus wager amount) and I thought Barca would get another narrow victory to try and wrap up the title even earlier.

Boy I was wrong!!

1579  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: April 26, 2023, 11:31:56 AM
- What are some current pain points in the crypto gaming/gambling space for players?

Maybe the fact that in this gambling space you have hundreds and hundreds of accounts all supposedly interested in gambling, and discussing about it, but responding to a thread that hasn't had a reply in over 4 months Tongue

So they see stuff and just react, but they probably are not 100% interested in actually contributing or gambling lol

Sorry no offense to people.

Thanks for sharing the post, I tried to backread yesterday but I guess I scrolled too quickly and missed it in the process.

Same, that's why I've been going ham on the multis.  Cheesy

It's almost like a religion for me to check ANN thread because of those promos and specials that randomly gets posted there. The site itself is blocked most promos for me though so I'm on the lookout for predictions on forum, especially you must check jeremypwr for all his prediction contests like every week for sure something is there Smiley

HUGE game today which I of course cannot see but should be some more specials coming!!
