Although Liverpool did not manage to win any of their first two games, their performances were still quite superior and dominant. So I don’t really think Nunez absence will create a space in that attack. They have Firmino, he is now fit after missing the home game against Crystal Palace and will likely start against Manchester United so they will have that attacking presence and they’d fancy securing their first win.
Liverpool did play fairly well in their last two games against Fulham and Crystal Palace, but they were very far from being dominant, if you watched their first game against Fulham, they didn't play too well in the first half, Fulham were arguably the better team in the first half, though Liverpool played a much better second half, but not entirely dominating; same thing against Palace, though i guess it is difficult to break down teams that set out to defend from the get-go.

Having said that, if Liverpool are going to compete for the title this season, then they must improve on their performances, they have not been at their very best lately, and they can't alllow City to run clear of them, or else the League could be in City's hands yet again quite early. Liverpool will definitely miss Nunez, i don't know if Firminho is fully fit, and with the other injuries they have, they'd need more players to increase their squad depth, but sadly Nunez is going to miss a couple of games for his misconduct.

Sergio Gomez may not get a place in Manchester City's starting eleven. But he will get a chance to perform in less important matches. Because Guardiola will definitely want to rest his key players in less important matches. As a result, his players are less likely to get injured. And so signing Sergio Gomez would be a deal for both.
Yes, and i am pretty sure Sergio Gomez is aware of the role he is going to play in the team this season, a fringe one, but i am quite sure he'll not be too bothered because he is young and he still has a lot of learning and improvement to do, and surely his time will come. City are also a team that compete in all four competitions, meaning there are going to be so many games to play, and definitely bigger players will be rested in games with lesser importance, so i expect Gomez to play many games in the Carabao and Fa cup. I think he will be City's last signing of the season, except another important player leaves and they then have to replace that player.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Africa needs a single digital currency to prosper. on: August 17, 2022, 05:56:01 PM
If you think Africa needs a single digital currency support these projects.
Well i really do not know why African needs any digital currency to prosper, not to talk of these ones you've mentioned, i do not know anything about these projects, neither would i be interested in supporting them, and i'm sure quite a lot of people feel the same way; with the increasing level of poverty in Africa i really do not know if it is actually a crytocurrency that they need, or an actual working government that can provide basic amenities for them, which will improve livelihood generally and enable them to live slightly above poverty.

Having said that, if Africans ever need a crypto to adopt, then it should be Bitcoin for now, for obvious reasons of course, Bitcoin can guarantee them true decentralization and freedom of their funds from government control, that can allure many of them to the network and from there on they can start to garner the necessary knowledge.

I don't know why of the many players who are there, he is still being kept, even though if you look at his performance clearly he is one of the worst in my opinion of the many Manchester United players at this time.
He not only made one mistake but almost every time he played he always made a mistake.
Maybe the higher ups at United are still happy with the price he has lol.
Quite rightly Maguire is a terrible terrible footballer, but i feel sorry for him that he takes too much of the stick for Manchester United's incessant disastrous performances, imo, it should be shared between all of the players, the manager and the Manchester United board, all of them have failed their fans, but many times the attention rests with Harry Maguire, this has even culminated in death threats sent to him at one time last season.

Having said that, if we are to question Erik ten hag for keeping Maguire, then there are other players he has kept that he should have done away with too, questions should also be directed to him about them, Rashford, Martial, McTominay, to mention a few.
2245  Other / Meta / Re: Sending merit to merit worthy posts to team members. How would you look at it? on: August 17, 2022, 12:27:13 PM
Merits is a subjective issue, you spend it based on your own criteria and how you choose to do so. If your team members have posted what you think is good, and what you consider merit worthy by your own standards, thus why hesitate to merit them. Tbh, there's no need to feel uneasy about that, the only thing you shouldn't do with merits is to sell them, or merit your alt accounts.
2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 17, 2022, 11:53:22 AM
The excellent Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro, who played a key role in Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup final, has unexpectedly become Manchester United's final target after their attempt to sign Adrien Rabiot was unsuccessful owing to pay issues. However, rumors claim that the Brazilian is uninterested, and Los Blancos haven't received any offers.
Tbh, it is quite very funny if Manchester United are actually interested in Casemiro, i mean that is more like them chasing shadows, it is quite impossible for Casemiro to leave a winning team like Real Madrid where he is a key player and come to Manchester United that are struggling to win matches, even against the smallest of teams.

Having said that, generally Manchester United's transfer business this summer is indeed laughable, it is either they are stuck chasing one player for many weeks, or players aren't interested in their offers, and other sorts of stuff, a lot is going wrong in that football club, especially behind the scenes, i feel sorry for Erik ten hag, i doubt if he'd be able to do anything to change their fortunes. The transfer window closes in a few weeks, Manchester United are yet to make any meaningful signing, and they are truly expecting a different outcome compared to where they finished last season, i'm afraid it will be worse this time around.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 16, 2022, 07:34:07 PM
I see a draw in this game, both Manchester United and Liverpool are not in their best run, Manchester United are at home and they have no point yet, the pressure will be on them to get at least a point from their game against Liverpool. Either Manchester United will win or they draw, I don't see Liverpool winning this game at old Trafford, a win for Man United will put them ahead of Liverpool at least that will be a relief for united if eventually they win
I completely agree with you, i really can't see Manchester United losing three games in a row at the start of the season, they would do everything possible against Liverpool to avoid that complete disaster, and i am pretty sure if they don't win, they'll get at least a draw for their efforts, but all day i am putting my prediction in favor of Manchester United, either win or draw. Having said that, Liverpool are also struggling with quite a lot of injuries, and then Darwin got sent off against Crystal Palace, meaning he will be unavailable for this game and a couple more, i'm afraid Liverpool look set to go three straight games without a win.
2248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: August 16, 2022, 07:07:22 PM
No it isn't over imo, i might be completely wrong but i don't think this uptrend will be sustainable for too long since we are still in a bear market, and i prolly expect Bitcoin to drop back low yet again, but for weeks now the price has looked good, though it isn't appreciating like when in a bull market, neither is it going too low either. Having said that, i think we should prolly watch out and see what happens in the next couple of months before we can draw our personal conclusions, but in the meantime i'd rather accumulate than worry too much about the state of the market we're in right now, the price is low and that's crucial.

Do you think Nigeria will adhere to this, also do you think businesses/individual are intentionally engaging in cryptocurrency to avoid tax?
I no really know if our Naija government so go follow this advice, though wetin i know be say even if them go do like that, the thing no go happen soon, maybe sometime later sha. Having said that, Nigerians no they run enter crypto because of tax, we know say with or without crypto many Nigerians tay tay don they evade tax in one way or another, so they really no need crypto to do that, maybe the thing go they easier for them to do with crypto, but tax evaders plenty for our nation for a long time now. I no go lie you, once Naija person start crypto, him eye they on how them go use the network make money, in the long run, other ideas fit enter, like to use am evade tax, but not at the beginning.

Gomez was originally intended to be loaned out by City for the duration of the season, but Guardiola decided to keep him as a backup for Joao Cancelo after failing to sign Marc Cucurella.
Yes, City wanted to loan Gomez out once he signs, but that's no longer possible, he is going to stay with the team and develop under one of the best managers in the world, Pep Guardiola. City missed out on Cucurella, but honestly i don't think that it is too big of a loss, i mean, i'm not even sure if Cucurella would have been in City's regular starting eleven had he signed, Cancelo is absolutely brilliant, and no manager in his right senses would put him on the bench. Even though Brighton were trying to be greedy with the sale of Cucurella, i think it turned out good for him that he moved to Chelsea, there he can play much more regularly than he would have done at City.

Gomez is young, and he would not start too many games, maybe only in the Carabao cup, but this move is great for his career, he is definitely one for the future, and City are really good at that, their transfer business is admirable.
2251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The government of my country always blame Bitcoin for their failure. on: August 16, 2022, 03:35:34 PM
It might be true that Bitcoin can be misused or abused by some individuals or organization which might affect the economy, but portraying Bitcoin  as one of the major cause of the country’s economic woes is untrue.
Yes Bitcoin can be abused, and so can absolutely every other thing be abused as well, like printing excessive fiat currencies for example and creating a high level of inflation. The only 'abuse' that is worthy of being highlighted in Nigeria is the government's gross and constant abuse of power and poor policies, that is exactly what is to blame for some of the economic crisis and other whatnots that's affecting the country, her econony and currency. The Nigerian government is famous for following the bandwagon, they know in their case Bitcoin isn't the cause of anything negative in the country, but since there is somewhat of a worldwide effort by governments the world over to taint the image of Bitcoin, thus they want to support that movement.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 16, 2022, 03:08:24 PM
Manchester City start to the season has attracted more aggressive attention and got to the top early. Although still in the early stages of the season, it is possible for Manchester City to get points faster. Now they are increasingly unstoppable and play very consistently, both in terms of improving quality and improving every line.
Absolutely! That is the worry here for Liverpool, and it is City. Yeah it is just 2 games in, there is 36 more to go, quite a lot of points left to be won and lost, but you definitely do not want City to be running clear of you at this early stage, they know how to be very consistent for a sustained period, and if you let them keep increasing the gap on you, then it might just be impossible to catch them when you actually start playing better.

Having said that, thus far Liverpool aren't playing well, i know they have a couple of injuries here and there, but they aren't playing like title contenders, they face Manchester United next, that is a game they definitely have to win, though i consider it a tricky one for them, Manchester United have lost all two games at the start of this season, they prolly might not lose the third, maybe a draw, that will leave Liverpool on 3 points from three games, and City are definitely going to grab all three against Newcastle, if all of these happen, then the gap widens, and sooner or later we might start looking at another contender for City's title, Arsenal maybe, eh?
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 15, 2022, 09:10:55 PM
The latest news at this time is that United have pulled out of the hunt for De Jong because they still believe that even though there are many threats from Barcelona for De Jong, he will still stay until his salary is fully paid.
I'd consider Manchester United an unserious club for staying this long in pursuit of Frankie, i mean, this is a player that has some problems with his club Barcelona because of unpaid wages and other whatnots, the player has also declined moving to Old Trafford, thus what is the need to continuously chase him, that is bad business, when one player is taking the club too long to sign due to difficult reasons that prolly can't be changed (like in Frankie's case), the best thing to do is to move on to other targets, especially when you have a limited time left in the transfer window.

Having said that, if you watch how City do their transfer business, you'd understand the difference between them and Manchester United, City were interested in Cucurella, the deal was going nowhere and they moved on, that is what i expected Manchester United to have done; now they have just two weeks till the end of this transfer window, the club has already started in a disastrous way this season and there are no good signs forthcoming. Shocked
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 15, 2022, 07:53:04 PM
There's no way of Frenkie De Jong joining United after he refused their approach once again. He will remain a target for Chelsea though.

The same clubs are trying to do a deal for Aubameyang as well - with Barcelona asking for 30 million euros. There's no way Chelsea will agree to this - I honestly don't understand why do they want him anyway.
Chelsea prolly want Aubameyang for two reasons, they need a striker, there is none currently at the club, and another reason is that they prolly have not been able to scout a high profile striker just yet and time is running out, or maybe they have, but the asking price is too much, and considering the fact that they have spent too much money in this transfer window already, they are unwilling to pay too much for any player again, thus they are now interested in Aubameyang. I'm pretty sure they'll be surprised by the asking price Barcelona are placing on him, they'd have expected he come cheaper than that, i also think he doesn't worth that right now.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 15, 2022, 06:04:21 PM
They lost mane, one of the most important players in the team and getting used to the fact that he is not there anymore will take time for them to get better, which is why I believe that we shouldn't be shocked about them not being great for now, but they will definitely get adjusted to new style and players overtime and be better.
Whilst i know this sort of things happen to football clubs all the time, a situation were a club loses a great player and they have to adjust, or when a club is having a bit of a crisis and things aren't going their way for a while; but in this current situation that is something Liverpool cannot afford to happen to them, because they have a winning team as competition for the title, and that is City, if you are poor for a sustained period and a team like City takes the edge/lead, and races far ahead of you, i'm afraid it might just be game over, notwithstanding how early in the season it is, City are a team that can and have gone on more than 10 games winning streak, so a win tonight is crucial for Liverpool to stay right on track, and i'm pretty sure they'll beat Palace.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 15, 2022, 04:16:00 PM
Back to the managers, who do you think is at fault here, the game ended and Thomas Tuchel and Conte shaked hands but instead of the usual way of shaking the opponent by looking into their eyes conte didn't reciprocate that and that's a disrespect, which was the reason behind Thomas Tuchel holding his hands and telling him to look him into the eye (with the hand gestures) then conte over reacted even want on to post about it on Instagram
Conte's Instagram post was definitely a joke, you could see during the post-match press conference that the two coaches claimed it was all fine between them and that personally they do not have any problems with the other, i think that was why Conte made that Instagram post to buttress that fact, his use of a emojis shows it was all in good faith.

Having said that, i disagree with you that Conte disrespected Tuchel by not looking him in the eyes after the game (they are not lovers Grin), there is no such rule that you'd have to look an opposition coach in the eye whilst you shake hands, lol, i know that is prolly the proper thing to do, "shake hands and prolly have a word or two", but the game was filled with emotions and bust ups even before the end, thus Conte saw no need for any camaraderie and just sought to merely shake his hands and move away, that is acceptable, what is unacceptable is Tuchel firmly holding his hands, not letting go and asking him to look him in the eye, further causing more trouble and square ups. Whilsts i don't think any retrospective action will be taken against both managers (other than serving their match bans for the red card), i didn't like Tuchel's behavior at the end, it was unnecessary.
2257  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does the planet really need saving? on: August 15, 2022, 03:35:09 PM
What is funny is that humans aren't even looking at saving themselves (like "Save the humans"  Cheesy) except shelling the shit out of ourselves in the name of wars based on egos of our leaders.
Well, the thing is humans are actually looking out for themselves when they try to save earth and its natural resources. These resources are what makes it possible for man to somewhat survive here on earth, but when these resources are depleted and abused, over time it will definitely come back to haunt man who is always in dire need of them. Thus the call for eco-consciousness and other sort of campaigns that advocate for more care for the enviroment is basically just man looking out for himself, now and in the long run.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be open to any possibility on: August 15, 2022, 01:40:59 PM
Imagine me creating a topic in 2017 asking if doge coin can hit 0.70$ some day the answer would have been NO from almost everyone, what I have learnt from crypto projects is no matter how stupid a coin looks and you need to get out because its not doing fine always leave a bit behind, I sold all my doge coin 120k before 2021 bull market and left only 1067 Doge coin in my wallet, learn from my mistake.
The thing is, you are pointing out one coin out of thousands that have crashed, dumped, depreciated and that was the end of them, only very few actually dump and appreciate again, mind you that quite a lot of them are also created to scam people, will you also expect coins like that to pump anew, and then with the thousands of them there are in the market, you cannot know which one is good.

Having said that, imo, altcoins are short term projects and one shouldn't regret selling them when they did, if you like altcoins it is better to keep buying and selling them continuosly, if you think one is pumping, or will pump, you can buy it, and sell when you get ROI.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of most prominent altcoins of the moment on: August 15, 2022, 01:01:19 PM
I have been away from the altcoin market since the beginning of the bear market, but at the moment I have some spear money to fill my altcoin bag and I am looking for the best coin in the market worthy of. my investment at this moment?
Am also looking for a coin that has a good use case and serves as a utility token to a project with a large community of supporters.
I don't really know about you but imo when you talk about a coin with utility/use case, the only coin that comes to mind is Bitcoin, i basically do not consider altcoins in this regard, i might be wrong, but from my research and understanding it is hard to find a coin with an actual utility outside of it being Bitcoin. Since you want to fill your bags with altcoin, that means you're planning to buy quite a lot of them, i for one wouldn't do that, altcoins are mainly pump and dump coins with no utility, thus risking quite a lot of my money on many of them is too much of a risk; having said that, it is your money, thus your decision, but mind you that altcoins are short term projects, so you'd have to be careful so you don't hold coins for too long, till you turn into a bagholder.
