1241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW DO I SECURELY STORE MY BITCOIN AS A BEGINNER? on: May 15, 2023, 12:21:09 PM
The best way to secure your private key is by carving your private key in a iron steel, it can't be distroyed easily. Make sure your private key is not stored in anywhere their is a internet connection, always avoid storing your private key on email address or other places that can be easily hacked. Also people writing their private key on paper, it's a nice idea but not completely safe, paper can be easily distroyed incase if anything happens, but iron steel cant be distroyed easly.
Your private key doesn't have to leave the wallet in which it was generated in, don't write it down or carve it anywhere; just use an HD wallet, thus you'll have just one seed phrase, and with it you can recover all the addresses on that wallet with their private keys. HD wallets makes things pretty easy for users, as you only have to back up one seed phrase. But take note that the seed phrase backup must be safely kept because if a malicious agent gets it, they will take all your funds.
1242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How old are you now in bitcoin investment? on: May 15, 2023, 12:08:46 PM
When did you start your bitcoin investment? Some people are now grandpa's in bitcoin community. Although it doesn't really matter when you heard about bitcoin, but what you've achieved through bitcoin. Is bitcoin helpful to you all this while? Or you've quit from bitcoin as a result of ugly experience? Let's discuss
4-5 years now! Of course Bitcoin has been helpful and luckily i've not had any ugly experience (loss of funds) using Bitcoin, but mind you that's because i am a user in this forum and there is so much knowledge available here. As for achievements of using Bitcoin, it is a subjective thing, i myself understood early enough that Bitcoin isn't a get rich quick scheme, so i was never expecting anything too much other than being my own bank and having the liberty to spend/hodl my funds as i deem fit.

I think Pochettino will go back to his team... to Spurs once more time.
He already knows the player, the stadium, and the team.
Chelsea have already reached an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino to be their manager from next season, he will take over from their caretaker manager Frank Lampard at the end of this season, and take the team through pre-season in preparation for next season. When do you think Pochettino can go back to Spurs, after his time in Chelsea? I don't think that's even possible. Btw Spurs are a confused team at the monent, it looked as if they were advancing in talks with Nagelsmann, but that deal has fallen through and thus they must seek other alternatives now, and there are few available.

I will bet on Manchester City for the second leg match later and ensure that Manchester City will qualify for the CL final this season
Well i also think Manchester City is going to progress to the Final at the expense of Real Madrid, Pep's men didn't perform so well at the Bernabeu, but with the second leg in their home where they have never lost to Real Madrid before, i think they have the advantage; their fans are going to be the 12th man for City that day, and i really believe in City to get the job done. The CL is the elusive title for City and this is another opportunity to get it, they can't throw it away like they've done in recent seasons, this season is theirs and they can make it even more special with a treble.

E get pipo wey dey mine sha but those people na the big boys and girls wey their pockets deep well well and dem fit control factors like electricity or any alternative source of energy, dem get enough equipment and space to take set up and other things too.
That one dey sha, even if Naija get miners e go dey very few. Mind you that no be to get deep pockets be the koko, the main thing na to make profit from your mining investment, why you think say miners dey relocate go where electricity and other conditions dey cheaper/favorable, na because them wan make profit na, no be say dem no fit arrange mining rig for their country. So you fit dey rich for Naija, buy all the things wey you need, but based on the money you dey spend on things wey you suppose get for cheap, mining no go dey profitable for you and you go gats shut am down, another thing na competition, if you go fit generate enough hashrate to compete with other miners, the best thing in such situation na to join an extant big mining pool sha, and earn based on the hashrate wey your individual miner dey contribute, e no easy oh.

Generational thanks to the founder and the forum members for sustaining this great and wonderful virtual crypto-currency.
The users in this forum form a large chunk of the Bitcoin community, but the community spreads across other platforms other than this forum, so there are quite a lot of members of the community that are not active users in this forum. Bitcoin is an open source project, thus anyone can be involved, either via mining, running a full node, hodling, trading, etc, and they are all part of the reason why the network is working unhindered, big thanks to all of us.

Having said that, many people erroneously think Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, and it propels them to make many mistakes whilst using Bitcoin, thus DYOR about the network to avoid making such mistakes.

Stop dishing out advises when you don't know the right thing to do, you might just be misleading someone unwittingly, if you don't know the best place to keep your privake keys and seed phrase, use the forum search button to read threads in which it has been discussed before, or you start a new thread with the question.

Having said that, you didn't only get one or a few things wrong in your post, but eveything is incredibly wrong, from storing it in email, google doc, diaries and for Christ's sake in a song, what do you need a song for to store your seed phrase when you can write it down on a paper, these are all ridiculous advises and that's what happens when you want to walk before crawling, thus learn before advising others.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 13, 2023, 11:24:51 PM
Chelsea shouldn't sign the Englishman Harry Kane, Chelsea needs a younger, pacy, strong and goal scoring player that would go and grow with the club with the rest of the youngins in the club since they already made conclusions with the signature of Pochetino Mauricio as Coach today. They would want to tempt Harry Kane but he should know the best club for him would be Bayern Munich or Manchester United.
If Chelsea can actually sign Harry Kane, then i don't see anything wrong in them doing it, Kane isn't old, he is just 29 years old and is at the peak of his game right now, it is a no-brainer to sign the second EPL highest goalscorer of all time (with 209 goals), a player who is chasing down Alan Shearer's record will definitely have the hunger to keep on scoring goals for any club he plays for.

Having said that, mind you that Chelsea have already signed a younger striker in Christopher Nkunku (who is 25 years old), i am pretty sure he would be a success at Stamford Bridge, and if they can pair him with a 29 year old born goalscorer, they will create an unstoppable team. But the thing is, Kane wouldn't even want to move to Chelsea, and he also wouldn't want to leave the EPL because he is chasing an esteemed record of highest goalscorer of all time, thus the only option left might be Manchester United.
1249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 11, 2023, 07:14:52 PM
Real Madrid still seems to have big ambitions to sign Mbappe. Reportedly they are still approaching and trying to bring in Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain, they are also reportedly ready to spend money to get the young French player's signature. Not only Mbappe, Jude Bellingham is also a player Real Madrid is targeting for them to bring in in the upcoming transfer market.
Do you have any source/link to this news which i think is completely false, Real Madrid aren't trying to sign Mbappe again, at least not now, it is going to be almost impossible for any club to sign Mbappe right now, Mbappe is under contract thus PSG are going to demand an outrageous amount for the transfer fee, then there is his salary/wages. Jude Bellingham is the 'Galactico signing' that Real Madrid want to make in the summer. Having said that, Vinicius Junior is one of the best left wing forwards in the world right now, why should Real Madrid even want to sign Mbappe, who is going to be the makeshift player between the duo if that deal goes through.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 11, 2023, 07:07:40 PM
In fact, what we saw yesterday makes it clear that it seems that Milan is clearly not ready for the finals, that is, if they somehow make it to the finals (which I highly doubt), they will definitely lose it. They have serious problems in defense, or Inter has a very well built attack, because in the first half, almost every attack by Inter ended with a shot. Not always those shots were on target, but they were.
Inter Milan already have one leg in the CL final, i knew if Rafael Leao doesn't play it would be difficult for AC Milan to create chances, and that was what happened, the Portuguese superstar is so important for AC Milan, and i hope he will be fit for the return leg next week. Having said that, it is going to be a pretty difficult mountain for AC Milan to climb, to come back from two goals down means they have to be impeccable (and that's something i've not seen from them this season), i think it is Inter that would go through, chances are pretty high that they'd even win the second leg as well.
1251  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New wallet uses Amazon hardware security modules to eliminate seed words on: May 11, 2023, 05:52:08 PM
Eliminating seed phrases, passwords and keys doesn't make ones crypto safer, rather it makes it more susceptible to being stolen. People erroneously think that services like this are doing them a good thing when they take away the responsibily they owe to their funds. Not your keys, not your funds, wherever they say they store it, you can't be sure of its safety, and you should always have your seed phrase to recover your funds yourself, anytime you need to. Keeping your seed phrase, passwords and keys is part of the responsibility of being your own bank, thus do it yourself.

Having said that, this wallet shouldn't even be used becaus we aren't short of better/safer alternatives, but if anyone is considering doing so, it should be for experiment and with a very inconsequential amount of money.
1252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Use self custody wallets, don't use exchange wallets. Check mempools these days. on: May 11, 2023, 02:42:40 PM
It's true that we should take our coins off exchanges but only if you are reasonably tech savvy and know how to protect your private keys. For others who are less able and are more used to online banking then pick a good one like coinbase to do it. Showing someone to buy a ledger wallet, setup the secret phrases, hide it (but make it restorable in a fire), learn how to withdraw etc.. I'm sure they rather just leave it in paypal and accept the higher fees
Well, it is pretty much better they leave their funds in their bank account, than to buy Bitcoins and leave it in exchanges. Being your own bank through Bitcoin comes with quite a lot of responsibilities, and tbh anyone who's not ready to carry these responsibilities should prolly forget about using Bitcoin and stick with fiat/banks, because i'd rather trust a bank with my funds than coinbase/binance/centralized exchanges. Having said that, no doubt there are complicated aspects of the Bitcoin network, but i think buying, selling and storing it in a non-custodial wallet is prolly the most basic and straightforward aspect of things, because you do not have to be tech-savvy to do it.
1253  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: tips for profitable investment in bitcoin on: May 11, 2023, 10:39:54 AM
And if you will do long term then a good strategy is to get bitcoin as much as you can during the consolidation phase of bullish season because the probability of making returns is very high unlike if you do DCA method during bear market because in this strategy can incur you losses so better to buy during or before the bullish market.
You are wrong here, the best strategy for buying Bitcoin long term is the DCA method, rather than (FOMO) buying a lump sum during the bull market. DCA method helps you buy Bitcoins comfortably (with lesser risk) without affecting your overall financial life, you just earn your salary and prolly take out some percentage monthly/weekly/daily to buy Bitcoins, and in a few years it could be worth so much and be profitable during the bull market, lump sum purchases increases the risk involved in your investment.

Having said that, if it were to be altcoins you're buying, then buying them during the actual bull run makes sense because quite a lot of them are pump and dump coins, and you'd not want to gradually accumulate a coin that might not appreciate and prolly doesn't have a future, but certainly Bitcoin is nothing like that and accumulating with DCA early enough is much better.
1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 10:34:13 PM
What a wonderful game of football from both Real Madrid and Manchester City, now i can't wait for the second leg, another 90 minutes (and possibly 30 mins of extra time, plus penalties) to decide this tie and find out which of the two teams is going to the final in Istanbul. If i am to pick who was the better side tonight, i'd say it was Real Madrid, City held more of the possession, but they didn't look too dangerous when they got close to Madrid's box, but whenever Madrid approached City's box, it felt like something was going to happen (i don't know if it was because of the noise the fans were making). Well, at the Etihad City have the home advantage and hopefully their fans can come out and cheer them to victory.
1255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 06:20:09 PM
The line-ups for the big game is out, and it was somewhat predictable from City's point of view, Akanji plays at left back because Ake is out injured and Kyle Walker is at right back to handle the pace of Vinicius Junior, Haaland is joined in attack by Bernado Silva, i was pretty certain Pep would pick him over Mahrez, his work rate is exceptional and he gives City so much, both in attack and in defense.

Having said that, for Real Madrid, Militao is missing because of suspension, So Rudiger replaces him, it looks as if Camavinga is going to play at left back, City might find joy down his channel. Modric, Kroos and Valverde would be keen on winning the midfield battle. This game is going to be extremely interesting, i can't wait for it to start, and when it does, i'm pretty sure i'd not be able to take my eyes off it. I wish City goodluck, they deserve to be Champions of Europe, and this is the biggest step towards achieving it.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 09, 2023, 04:33:13 PM
But, have you seen the betting market? Did you know that even though Real Madrid will be playing at their home ground, they're not favorites here. Manchester City who play away are the favourites. I don't know what happened there, but I have a bad feeling about Real Madrid.
Manchester City are in blistering form of late and challenging for the treble, it is normal that the bookies feel their chances of winning is higher, thus a lower odd; Real Madrid on the other hand are on the verge of relinquishing their la liga title to Barcelona, and even though they have won the Copa Del Rey and are in the CL SF, i think City is the more in form team right now.

Having said that, it is not the bookies that play the game, and Real Madrid would not care about that, even last season their chances of eliminating Manchester City was lower even until the last few minutes of the second leg, but it was them that went through and eventually won the CL. Anyway my prediction for this game is still in favor of City, this has to be their season and i see them defeating Real Madrid both home and away.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 09, 2023, 01:04:19 PM
How to save savings in inflation, there are many deposits provided by the bank, but banks often go bankrupt, does it make sense to buy gold? How is gold bought in a bank and interest is issued on it?
Gold is not bought in a bank, but it can be kept in a bank for safety. You can buy physical gold from people who sell it, you'd have to look for sellers in and around your location. Gold can also be bought in the form of jewelries or accessories, meaning you can buy gold jewelries from either a shop or from people who want to sell their gold accessories. Gold could also be bought in the form of stocks, etc, just surf the internet and you'd get many other ways to purchase gold, then select that which is best for you.

Having said that, banks do not go bankrupt all that often, but your money in the bank wouldn't accrue too much interest, and might also depreciate in value because of inflation. Buying gold is a great option, it is a safe haven asset/a store of value, its price does not move sporadically and it does not pump like crypto, but what you get with gold is stability and a fair ROI.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Annoyed by Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens? Here come the Orcs!!! on: May 09, 2023, 12:48:15 PM
Does brc-20 are solution to bitcoin higher fee issues?
You seek a panacea from the cause of the problem, that is ironic. Brc-20/ordinals/inscriptions is what's causing this clogging in the mempool/Bitcoin network. Well the end of this brc-20 tokens/ordinals would be the solution to this present issue of high transaction fees caused by this BS.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 09, 2023, 12:21:51 AM
José Mourinho has his own way of trying to make changes to the PSG players, and I'm sure José Mourinho is still capable of doing that, but what must be considered is that PSG is a football club that is quite big and worldwide, so José Mourinho has to work hard at his old age and have an extraordinary experience that could make José Mourinho fit to be a PSG coach.
What old age? Jose Mourinho is just 60 years of age, and that is a normal age for a football manager. PSG is a big team you say, yes they are, but Mourinho is a very big and experienced manager, who has previously managed clubs bigger than PSG, clubs like Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United. I don't know if Jose Mourinho is ready to leave Roma yet, but if he is and PSG manage to sign him, it'd would be great for them, i mean, they want to win the CL, Mourinho has won it twice with Porto and Inter Milan, thus that makes him a good man for the job.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: May 08, 2023, 11:19:09 PM
I don’t want Man City to win the CL but I think they will batter Real in the semi final and then go on to win the final. No more last minute winners and snatch and grab victories for Real this season.
I don't know if it'd be a battering really, but i am just pretty sure that the CL title is City's this season, and not even Real Madrid can stop them. Just as you said, City were by far the better side when they faced Real Madrid in the SF last season, though costly errors made them lose, right now City are a better side than they were last season, and they have now got Haaland, who is somewhat unstoppable and wouldn't fail to punish Real Madrid when he gets his chances. I think City are going to comfortably win home and away.
