Coulda sworn the big J.C. was referred to as Lucifer at least once in some form of the epic.

After a few months of hiatus, I finally returned to my novel and realized IT SUCKED So I started over and now I'm pretty pumped because I'm filling up a load of plotholes I hadn't noticed back when I wrote it. Story's much more fluid now. It's not really BTC related, but I am planning on selling it for BTC when I do get done with it, so there's that

This is my place for news.
Pretty much this. There's a lot of different news sources out there reporting on Bitcoin, and they all wind up here someway or another.

will posting 5 times in one thread lift the restriction?
Not without 4 hours of online time.

Won't Bitcoin be forked into somthing like QBitcoin with a new crypto that is too hard for the top of the line hardware to crack before it reaches the market?
Yes. Bitcoin's not going to last forever, but it can become something else which can keep living. The reason the human race lasted for longer than 100 years is because we can keep making improved copies of ourselves Except in this case, it's intentional technological advancement, as opposed to the random, passive process of evolution.

If there's anything I remember from my high school economics class, it was my teacher saying something about, if the whole world starts asking America for its money back, and since America has so many debts it can never do that, the world's going to hell. Can't wait to see what happens next Here's hoping I don't die from it.

I never understood prices on eBay. There's plenty of sane prices, but then you'll find certain things, like iPhones, being sold for thousands above what everyone else is selling them for. It's like they think someone will be dumb enough to buy something for that high. Wouldn't be surprised if it's happened, tho.

Edit: For all intensive purposes, this should be a sticky...

For what it's worth, I try to avoid cussing myself. Unless I gotta. But I make sure there's no kids around i.e. a website where kids shouldn't be. Can I still say "crap" tho? Kind of cursing but not really that bad...

I'd be careful with that one. There are a lot of philosophical beliefs that are kinda of.................
Ehh two different concepts; philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge, whereas philosophical beliefs are the fruit of philosophers--the after product. A philosopher doesn't necessarily have to subscribe to any or even most philosophical beliefs; I'm not sure if this is possible without contradicting oneself. With that said, someone who earned a degree in philosophy is only guaranteed to understand a variety of philosophical beliefs. A real philosopher is not one who pursues such a degree, but one who asks questions and follows answers to the end. On the other side of this concept, a philosopher may have knowledge of common philosophical beliefs, but is guaranteed to be equipped with their own interpretations of life, which will happen to coincide with others, as opposed to someone who is largely aware of philosophical concepts but spends more time learning that than asking their own questions.

Only thing I've gathered from this thread is that people are bonkers all over the world.

Thanks for this
If you haven't watched it already, you should watch the documentary "Happy" from 2011
Haven't heard of this one; I'll definitely check it out! I can vouch for this. It's no exaggeration to say that philosophy quite literally saved me from the abyss and changed my life.
+1 Same here! I can officially say I ain't stupid no mores

My advice is to not use eBay or PayPal Use an exchange.

[Paypal's] Ferguson also sounded a skeptical note. “What problem is Bitcoin trying to fix? There’s no clear answer.” From an online vendor's standpoint, the answer is pretty clear: Paypal is the problem that bitcoin is going to fix! Paypal has recently suggested that they may adopt bitcoin as a funding method, this seems quite likely. Unfortunately, that won't change anything from a vendor's standpoint since Paypal would receive the advantages of bitcoin payments, while vendors would stlll be stuck with the fees and random fraud/chargebacks associated with Paypal payments. Yeah I don't really understand this. The only way PayPal can improve Bitcoin is to enable the less tech-savvy of us to use their Bitcoin without worrying about a wallet (with the downside of having to put up with PizzlePazzle's shenanigans.) Sadly, I'm certain a whole lot of folks will get suckered into using PayPal with Bitcoin.
