Tottenham Hotspur gives me this feeling that the will compete till the end with Manchester city and Liverpool for the title, in there last match they were electrifying but still they left very good players offf the starting eleven, Bissouma, Perisic and Richarlison on the bench, so you the depth of this team...
Spurs did excellent business in this summer's transfer window, Conte identified the players he wanted in order to complement the team, and the board went for those players and signed them, i must confess there is quite a lot of prospect in that team, and their depth is admirable, they also have a great manager that has won the EPL before, all of that looks enough for them to compete for the title and prolly win it, but the problem is City and Liverpool, these two teams are well ahead of the rest, imo, it is going to be another two horse race, but i'd be glad if teams like Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal prove me wrong and compete with the top two teams, it looks unlikely to me, but for the league to be more entertaining, i hope it happens.
2282  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unquestioned goal and habit on: August 09, 2022, 01:18:03 PM
I have read, followed and listen to so many people's advice on how to invest in bitcoin, and diversify your investment strategy but my portfolio is not giving me as joy as I anticipated at the beginning of this year. I know many people in this forum anticipated the same to make much money from crypto at the beginning of this year. My plead for you are:
1. Remove all the deadlines you gave yourself to avoid depression.
2. If you didn't meet up your target before the end of this year, just pray and work hard.
Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, that is something that quite a lot of people must understand, it is a long term speculative asset, and if you are a speculator, i'm afraid you will have to set your goals of ROI in the long run, mind you also that Bitcoin never stops to serve the purpose for which it was created, and that is as a currency, whether bear time or bull period, it remains exactly that, a medium of exchange.

Having said that, i for one do not know the deadlines or targets you are talking about, you sound like you're gambling with different altcoins, mind you that's false diversification. Overall i rarely set goals with something as unpredictable/completely out of my control as cryptocurrencies, if i'm to set goals, i'd do that with RL stuff that i can somewhat control and work hard towards achieving.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: August 09, 2022, 12:48:50 PM
with the gathering of big people and important people from various countries this is good news, now the name bitcoin has become increasingly popular in this world so that many countries have adopted it and because they all see the great potential in bitcoin, and this is also good news for the public. Bitcoin investors, myself included, are delighted to hear this news. and I think bitcoin will be more successful in the future.
Not so many countries have adopted Bitcoin mate, remember that Bitcoin is decentralized and free from government control, which is something that governments do not like, thus the more reason why they would want to avoid Bitcoin completely, and impose regulations to limit the number of people that will use it. Bitcoin of course is already successful, it can no longer be said to be an 'experiment', or a coin that will die or go extinct, which makes things better, as it is its utility that is responsible for its success, and even without the acceptance of most governments, Bitcoin is still what it is.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The US government is targeting mixers. Are BTC mixers next? on: August 09, 2022, 10:41:28 AM
Governments have and will always target privacy, especially when it has to do with financial privacy. Bitcoin's pseudonymous nature is already a pain in the ass for governments obnoxious efforts at tracking people's finances effectively, and then mixers that conceals the relationship between addresses causes them more pain i'm pretty sure.
Developers need to create the kind of privacy feature that can't be abused/misused by criminals including those in government. If you can't develop a privacy application (for example) that is hard to abuse, better not develop at all because you will be creating more problems instead of solving problems without creating more problems.
Absolutely anything that is created in this world can be abused and used by people wrongly, it doesn't mean that what was produced has any inherent/intrinsic problems, it is just what it is. Quite a lot of people erroneously claim that Bitcoin is used for crime and a whole lot of bad things, but that is not true, neither is it what it was created for.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 09, 2022, 07:00:05 AM
Newcastle for sure could bring mbappe in! With its nearly infinity funds in the bank lol they are the only one who can offers a lot of money on the table. Premier league will always be a center of attention though without any rivalry like cristiano bs messi , i just wondering mbappe vs haaland in premier league though.

Someone need to make this happen and it has to be the biggest oil money at newcastle!
Newcastle prolly have the funds to bring in Mbappe and pay his wages, but hell, there is absolutely no chance of Mbappe going to a club like Newcastle, at least definitely not now. Newcastle are light years away from ever competing for the CL, they can't even break into the top four to guarantee CL football for now, thus what could a player of Mbappe's reputation possibly be doing in Newcastle; if you say he will move there for money, then PSG can and have given him anything Newcastle can ever offer.

Having said that, Newcastle would know the sort of players they can allure now, good players, but not world class quality, maybe things will change in the future if they begin to get things right, but for now, it is what it is.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 08, 2022, 07:47:36 PM
Timo Werner is on the brink of signing for Leipzig indeed. He must be really about the recent news about that because Leipzig were a team that he was the most productive at in the past. It might be time for him to start playing like that again there.
Timo Werner didn't just work out for Chelsea after they spent over £47m on him, and now he looks set to be heading back to his former club, Werner hasn't been at his best since moving to Chelsea, the both parties will definitely regret the initial transfer, but they will definitely be happy to part ways now, Werner might regain his lost form with this move, so i wish him all the best.

Having said that, i hope the exit of Werner opens the door for Chelsea to bring in a marksman before the transfer deadline, with Lukaku and Werner out of the club, they do not have any recognized striker, and if they are to challenge Liverpool and City for the title, they need a striker.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 08, 2022, 07:29:30 PM
All Erik ten Hag needs is time, he's definitely going to win games at Old Trafford. United losing their first game to Brighton was just a coincidence but Erik ten Hag now knows his mistakes and wrong substitution. Erik ten Hag been criticize by fans saying he's not capable of managing the team.
I would not go as far as saying that Erik ten hag isn't capable of managing the team, neither wll i say that Manchester United's loss to Brighton was a coincidence, Brighton were the better team, and if they didn't win then it would have been harsh on them, tbh, i don't know why people are expecting too much from this team, it is practically the same players from last season, they have not made any convincing signings, thus i'd not expect a different outcome.

Erik ten hag will succeed in Manchester United, only if the board will change and start making quality signings, there is definitely something wrong with the structure at Manchester United, and if that doesn't change, they will continue changing managers with no change in performance to show for it.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 07, 2022, 07:54:21 PM
For the first match of Manchester united they lose against Brighton. From me i never believe that Manchester united will lose their first match. Assuming the structure of the match was fixed in other from the Manchester coach Brighton would have not defeated Manchester united that is popular. Other giant clubs that is popular win all their matches
What exactly are you talking about, i can't really understand some of the things you've written. Manchester United didn't change too much from last season, if you take a closer look at their squad, you'd understand that they have just made a couple of new signings and changed their manager, but most of the players from last season are still present in the squad; after their horrendous performances for the most part of last season, i expected an overhaul of this team, but there was nothing doing from the board, thus i wonder why quite a lot of people are having high expectations about them this season.

Having said that, i think it is better as Manchester United lost so Erik can see how big a problem he has on his hands. By the way, big teams win more often than not, but not all the time, Liverpool didn't win this weekend too.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 07, 2022, 11:19:06 AM
There's a rumors that Chelsea is looking for Center Back player from Leicester City e.g. Wesley Fofana, they offer $70 Million to Leicester City but got rejected [1] Wesley Fofana have excellent performance and it's not surprising Chelsea dare to spend a lot money for him. Even they got rejected, they're still want to sign Wesley Fofana...
Tbh, it is a crazy transfer market in football these days, players are overvalued left, right and center, and every club wants to make the most from their players, even when they are well aware that such players aren't worth close to that valuation for any reason whatsoever, Fofana for that amount is exorbitant, but still Chelsea still got rejected, Chelsea are desperate to complete more signings before this window shuts, i'm pretty sure Leicester are well aware of that, and now they want to make the most of it. Chelsea should prolly move on to another target, just as City did with Cucurella.
2290  Economy / Economics / Re: What crisis what food crisis ? on: August 07, 2022, 11:04:51 AM
No plans to visit those places anyways
Lol, the fact that you aren't ever going to visit those places or that you aren't affected by the problem doesn't mean that it does not exist, and that is what you claimed in your OP, that everything is fine. Mind you that when they say there is a food or hunger crisis, it does not mean that everyone in the world is suddenly hungry, it simply means that the number of hungry people prolly increased or the cost of buying food became higher and many people can't afford a sufficient quantity for themselves. Remember that due to the pandemic there was an increase in unemployment, coupled with increase in prices of commodities, now imagine people who were poor prior to the pandemic, surely things have grown worse for them.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 07, 2022, 10:53:15 AM
Introduction of people into cryptocurrency is not hard, because it would have difficult to introduce people into cryptocurrency when it is not popular. Because looking at the stuff of introduction or bringing people into cryptocurrency investment and cryptocurrency trading, it's a just good reason to brainstorm the person of the values of cryptocurrency. And right now the benefit of cryptocurrency is now online and every body can access it through online.
I am afraid that is not the challenge OP is facing in educating his pals, of course Bitcoin is popular and many people have prolly heard about it, but the thing is, can they use it, do they know how best to use it without losing funds, do they know the safest wallet to use or what the security measures to be taken are. The discussion here isn't about investing, trading, or making money from Bitcoin and crypto, it is about passing the necessary knowledge on to ones friends and family, and you have to accept that it is difficult to do, there are quite a lot of erroneous perspectives about the network one must change in people's minds if they are to learn, though it has already been stated that you can exempt them from the technical aspects and just teach them the basics, without necessarily talking about how to make money in the beginning.
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador claim bitcoin attracts tourists right or wrong? on: August 07, 2022, 10:37:06 AM
What could have attracted cryptocurrency tourists to El Salvador if not bitcoin? So I think the wall street journal article covered a small part of El Salvador hotels.
I don't think El Salvador have invested in bitcoin to attract tourists, if you want to attract tourists i guess it is your enviroment you must work on and beautify; and tbh i don't know how Bitcoin can possibly attract tourists to a particular country, popular tourist/most visited countries like France, Spain, USA etc, have zero or no affiliation with Bitcoin, especially in the aspect of it being a legal tender, yet millions of people go there every year. Having said that, the people that visit El Salvador do it for other reasons than Bitcoin, Bitcoin isn't widely accepted but there are one or two places one can spend them in their own country instead of travelling to El Salvador to do so. El Salvador have invested in Bitcoin so they can prolly make ROI in the long run.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 07, 2022, 10:19:06 AM
Banks cannot stop the usage of bitcoin, they stopped their services to exchange so users can't be able to convert their fiat to cryptocurrency and vice versa, it happened in many countries
Yeah, a similar thing happened in my country too, there is currently a ban by the CBN that banks should not process or facilitate transactions that are related to cryptocurrency, direct from crypto exchanges. Having said that, since that very ban here, nothing much has changed, it hasn't reduced or affected the number of people that use crypto. We can't compel the banks to act in our favor cause we are crypto enthusiasts, good thing is we already know they can come up with changes like this spontaneously, but there will be alternatives, and nothing much will change in Portugal as a result of this.
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin : A digital currency or a computer program? on: August 07, 2022, 08:57:22 AM
All of these transactions rely on cryptography to send and receive digital output. These outputs are merely holding structures for various bitcoin amounts. Because of this, a universal electronic payment system—what we now refer to as "digital currency"—is created.
Yeah, and when it is created, it has an actual utility, one of which is that it is money/currency that can be effectively used as a medium of exchange, but this very money isn't physical, it is spent online/digitally, that is why it is a digital currency. You prolly do not know about Bitcoin's usefulness, you don't know it is a currency/money, that is why you are confused. Having said that, in summary, i think we can call it a computer program that produces a digital currency that can be spent where accepted.

In the first game of the Premiership, Crystal Palace-Arsenal, the favorite are the visitors. Of course, the first match is always an unknown, but if Arsenal keep their form from the friendly matches, they should easily get 3 points. A few days ago, Arsenal beat Sevilla 6-0.
Arsenal have been brilliant in pre-season friendlies, thus quite a lot of people will predict this game in their favor, including myself too, though the actual competitive league/game is quite different from friendlies, but i don't think Crystal Palace can upset Arsenal in this game today. The time has come for us to watch all Arsenal's new players in competitive action, especially Gabriel Jesus who arrived from City, Arsenal fans are backing him up to do special things for the club, and he has chance to start on a high.

My prediction for this game is Arsenal 3 v Palace 1.

2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2022, 08:49:58 AM
Cristiano Ronaldo will be a substitute or on the bench this weekend against Brighton because Erik Ten Hag is frustrated with him. Despite his desperate attempts to leave United before Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't been able to find a team. Is there anything they can do? He would have been shipped away by Manchester United. As an alternative, United could extend his contract by a year, then loan him to another Champions League team with a sale option.
I can't disagree with you that Ronaldo will not start for Manchester United against Brighton this weekend, as a matter of fact i don't think he will even play, he'll prolly not be in the match squad, but we will see. Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't trained too much with the team, remember he wasn't part of their pre-season games, and the last game he played was only about 45 minutes, so Ronaldo imo is far from full match fitness, even Erik will know that, and as a strict boss that he is, he will know Ronaldo can't be involved this weekend.

Having said that, i don't think Ronaldo will leave this summer, he wants to leave, but who wants to buy him? I haven't seen any team that look interested yet, Manchester United have kept on saying they do not want to sell him, but even if they change their mind and agree on him leaving the club, where's the team that will take him. Ronaldo should prolly come to reality and forget about an exit and concentrate on the season ahead of him.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 02, 2022, 10:37:57 PM
Indeed. Real Madrid, Atletico, and Barcelona are always the candidates for the winner of La Liga each season. But the team like Sevilla and Real Betis cannot be underestimated, they sometimes can give a surprise. So, I think La Liga is still a competitive league, the winner is still unpredictable although the candidates are clear enough. For this season, Barcelona seems to have a bigger chance to win.
Tbh, Sevilla or Real Betis can't win the laliga this season, the top three teams are much stronger than they are, giving them absolutely no chance of being laliga champions. Having said that, i think Barcelona are now strong enough to compete for the laliga title again, it was an easy ride for Real Madrid last season, but it'll not be so this season, with the acquisition of Lewandowski, Kounde, Raphinha, etc, Barcelona are ready to challenge for the title and prolly even go far in the CL.

2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 02, 2022, 09:06:45 PM
I think 50 million for Cucurella is too much, I know he is good but in terms of achievements and recognition he is way below that price tag, I was expecting an amount around 30 million to be asked by Brighton. Just one or two season performance does not earn him that value in the market. Chelsea are desperately in need of side backs as they are about to lose Alonso and Azpilicueta so they want to get a replacement as quick as possible that's why they will consider that amount okay for Cucurella.
Way too much in my opinion as well, City were the ones initially interested, but they basically just walked away when it became certain that Brighton were just out to make real money from their star man, sticking with that £50m asking price, tbh, i see no reason why Cucurella should cost that much, he hasn't done too much for s sustained period/for many seasons, i know we have a crazy transfer window in football now, and i guess it is what it is.

Having said that, Chelsea are ready to pay the asking price, so i am pretty sure they will get their man very soon, for City they will have to look elsewhere for another left back, or stick with playing Joao Cancelo in that position, and prolly promote one of the academy boys for backup, Nathan Ake can also play in that position, so they didn't miss out on too much.
