These ones are actually clever, the worst ones are the ones done constantly by news journalists >_< I should probably record them sometime and make a compilation but that would take effort lol Tongue
2282  Other / Off-topic / Re: USD investments with guaranteed ROI? on: January 05, 2015, 07:11:54 PM
None of these suggestions you guys listed are what are called 'guaranteed' in reality there is no guranteed but if you're looking for passive investments then go into international dividend stocks, that's what I'd do, owning commodities while useful is just speculation unless you own the actual thing and plan to use it.
2283  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What percentage of their coins stuck at Bitstamp will customers get back? on: January 05, 2015, 07:00:24 PM
I'm hoping they'll cover their losses because Bitstamp to me really didn't seem like another MT.GOX but you never know sadly, it's annoying, because I was actually hoping to use them to build an international savings account since they deal in dollars, if things don't work out I'll have to explore other options. If we're lucky, they'll actually turn out to be really honest and will refund the lost coins immediately, which would of course be brilliant because it would make Mark Karpeles look like an even bigger asshole than he already is Tongue
2284  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-03] Medium: Paycoin and the North American Bitcoin Conference on: January 05, 2015, 01:40:57 PM
We warned everyone about GAW, if people still choose to buy into this bullshit they've dug their own graves.

All your Bitcoin are belong to me Tongue
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the poorest early adopter in the world on: January 05, 2015, 11:09:41 AM
Pffft, I can beat that, I had 0.00BTC when it was around $50 I hadn't invested anything, it's only until recently that I've truly been getting into it and earning myself money because I was researching and learning about it, I should have taken part in the early sig campaigns though because they were paying out a lot back then Sad I would have been making a lot of money if I had but I suspect the process is going to repeat itself this year so I'm going all in now.
2287  Other / Off-topic / Re: Rawdogletard on: January 05, 2015, 11:02:17 AM
Oh it's that moron, is he still around? I don't watch him, but one of his videos was posted up a long time ago and he basically is one of those classic raving lunatic flag waving brainwashed Americans that attacks anything they don't understand or what they're told to attack.

I personally hope it's all an act, or some kind of sophisticated trolling, because it would be really sad if it were real.
2288  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ebay limit. will i lose my money ? on: January 05, 2015, 10:47:16 AM
Just put the stock to 0 or something and say it's beyond the limit and isn't being sold anymore, people won't bother then.
2289  Other / Meta / Re: How will increased suicide-posts be handled? on: January 05, 2015, 09:59:41 AM
It's a really difficult one, like with all these begging posts, they're deliberately crafted to play on peoples' emotions, if they really are in trouble then there are services out there specifically designed to help them, frankly though if they start posting Bitcoin addresses and ask for money without even acknowledging anything that is being said to help them then they are probably just con artists.

It sucks because there are people out there who genuinely need help and these assholes are making it harder for us to distinguish between the real ones, it just seems like another form of street begging really where they use emotional blackmail against you and yes, I think it's probably the same assholes you see on the street who are scamming passers by. If you want to help them, then send them to an organised charity or as others have said a suicide hotline, but whatever you do I wouldn't give them any money, especially if they keep coming back for more, there were some really obvious ones awhile back I saw where they kept on raising the amount they 'needed' every time they got some coins.
2290  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ebay limit. will i lose my money ? on: January 05, 2015, 09:41:18 AM
You could easily sell the $10 item on ebay I suppose but I'd sell the $1200 item here maybe? Use Bitcoin and use an escrow and you'll be fine, everyone here hates paypal and ebay for a reason.
2291  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinfire Bitstamp update on: January 05, 2015, 08:07:36 AM
I hope none of you numpties have a ton of Bitcoin in that exchange regardless of whether they're honest or not, the losses happen because people think they can just leave their money lying around in online wallets.
2292  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need injector for Battlefield 3 on: January 04, 2015, 07:22:53 PM
Ohh is that what he's talking about? Why do people think they can come on here and ask for dodgy shit then get offended when we say fuck off?
2293  Other / Meta / Re: Who put VOd on such a high horse? on: January 04, 2015, 06:38:52 PM
Chances are then it will be due to which country or area you are from since all these 'official' streaming sites have incredibly stupid licensing laws, I recommend going through some proxies and use torrent sites instead if you're talking about the hulu service I'm thinking of. As for asking someone else to put their details on an account for you regardless of paying them Bitcoin that's dodgy as fuck and fraud, if something happens not only will it be pointless contacting support you could also get the person who registered you in trouble as well because they will have faked identities.

You're asking for a hell of a lot of unnecessary trouble for even bothering to come up with this.
2294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is dropping and why you should be buying. on: January 04, 2015, 06:31:20 PM
Yep, that's exactly right, while I think it's too early to say for sure whether Bitcoin is an indicator of anything, I think things have gotten far too high now, they claim Bitcoin was a bubble but imagine what the dollar is going to do when it finally decides to go down. I think I'll actually be stashing by Bitcoin rather than spending it at the moment because I think we may be seeing a price spike at some point and that will be a great time to spend.
2295  Other / Meta / Re: Who put VOd on such a high horse? on: January 04, 2015, 06:25:34 PM
While he's certainly caught quite a high number of potential scammers with a number of them complaining on the board, dare I ask why you were wanting to buy a Hulu account and why did you feel the need to lie about your post code if you were actually going to use it? I'm a great believer in innocent until proven guilty and I understand not wanting to give out real information on a purely digital transaction, I regularly fake my details for that and provide misleading information because in reality the company or person has no reason to require it. However there are some really shifty fuckers around here who always like to play innnocent and blame the victims in an attempt to manipulate people so don't be offended if I haven't immediately sided with you.
2296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is no authority after btc-e.com? on: January 04, 2015, 02:33:35 PM
As others have said, they can't invade or piss off countries like Russia and China, so if you're planning on pissing off the U.S that's the way to go usually, America likes to talk about how tough they are but when it comes to trying to take on a country that has an air force at it's disposal they back down immediately.
2297  Economy / Economics / Re: Price drop : bitcoinners happy ? on: January 04, 2015, 01:07:13 PM
The weak holders who aren't going to be here long term or bought too high are being driven out, this will mean something interesting is going to happen to the price in the next couple of months.
2298  Other / Off-topic / Re: USD investments with guaranteed ROI? on: January 04, 2015, 12:44:18 PM
Stay the fuck away from the U.S markets, invest in countries like Canada and so on that are keeping their distance from the dollar I would always say that cryptocurrencies, gold and silver are your best bet but if you are comfortable investing then go for it, what I would do is wait for a crash because even the countries dumping the dollar will be affected and it will be easy to buy up otherwise expensive international companies.
2299  Economy / Speculation / Re: hold or dump? on: January 04, 2015, 12:20:24 PM
This is the beginning of something big, haven't seen movements like this for awhile, someone is moving coins around, that said, if you bought in the highs that was foolish and you should have dumped a long time ago.
2300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashes through $200 floor on: January 04, 2015, 10:24:33 AM
Pfft, here we go, the scaremongers are out now it's dropped slightly below $300 ( clearly not understanding how trading works ) and now the world is ending, it's called panic dumping, the weak hands and bagholders are getting out and now someone else with more confidence is going to buy everything up.
