Don't you know about Bittorrent?

Taxpayer's money in work :/. To be honest I wouldn't oppose some plundering raids to such countries if we all can get a fair share in exchange for our crowdfunding efforts (aka taxes) from the loot, but in this case there are no loot, no plundering just destruction and hefty bills. I don't see the point why we went there.

That's precisely the point, we're the ones who foot the bill for their ventures, politicians and government contractors benefits from all the gains made in these wars and they get the money from the tax payer so they can afford it, from their point of view, it's a win win, even if it is a balancing at where they send a bit our way through either minor tax cuts or more deficit spending, mostly it's just through deficit spending.
1363  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I've just opened account on Localbitcoins.com and scammed 0.4 BTC ! on: April 21, 2015, 08:53:15 AM
Never deal with people on LocalBitcoins who don't communicate with you properly or demand lots of personal information, they're likely stalling and waiting for you to get impatient. I don't mind giving information on my personal account to prove I'm me and so on but I once got a guy claiming that he needed to see a photo of me and my bank card. Naturally I neg rated him and he tried to do the same to me, the guy claimed that it's standard practice to ask people for bank cards ( lol ) but in all the trades I've done this guy was the only one whoever asked for it.

LocalBitcoins is usually pretty reliable, but be very careful if they start veering away from the normal procedures of asking for a government ID, especially if they're asking for more than necessary bank information. The only time they should have to ask for that kind of information is if they're an exchange dealing with large volume which they're not, so to me they're just wasting time and being dodgy as hell.

Try checking this guy's username on LocalBitcoin and see if you can find any other people who have been scammed by this guy.

Lets hope they don't fuck this one up.
1365  Other / Off-topic / Re: Telemarketers from hell on: April 20, 2015, 08:49:34 PM
Let me put it this way, any time a company or corporation tells you they won't sell or misuse your private data, they're lying, what's likely is these people have probably sold it on the black market for a quick buck.
1366  Other / Off-topic / Re: Telemarketers from hell on: April 20, 2015, 06:38:00 PM
Don't even bother giving them the time of day, just cut off the conversation and save yourself the trouble, if these people are real they'll use far more polite methods of contacting you, I firmly believe that landlines are primarily used by scammers now.
1367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Regarding Trolls on: April 20, 2015, 04:48:31 PM
It's precisely because you're asking these questions that trolls do what they do Wink It's purely to get a kick out of screwing with people, even if it's just getting them to question whether they're really trolling or not.

1369  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any recourse? on: April 19, 2015, 07:42:42 PM
As others have said I don't know about the specific laws for your country but in most countries banks own anything you deposit there, I realise this is a piss take for you, you could maybe talk to someone outside like a lawyer if too much time hasn't passed but I would just take it as a lesson on how badly banks will screw you over and invest in a tiny safe of some kind for yourself you can keep at home. You don't even really have to get anything massive and you'll have full control over it.

You don't own anything when you deposit money or any other items in a bank, they take full control, the worst part about depositing currency in a bank is they can play with it however they like on the stock market so if they suddenly start losing lots of money then you're going down as well and you won't be able to get it back.

600 usernames? Am I on that list? While I had absolutely no contact with BFL I was involved with discussions about them, 600 usernames is a lot of people, makes me wonder if they didn't just blanket sopena the entire forum and target all the well known Bitcoiners here.
1371  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-04-18] The Telegraph: Barclays closed down my bank account after BTC trade on: April 19, 2015, 08:43:44 AM
When I start getting serious money moving about I am going to sign up with Euro Pacific bank specifically because of this, it was a conversation I had two years ago ( Yes that's how much I think ahead Wink ) but they said to me they have no problem with Bitcoin, whatever Peter Schiff's personal grievances with it he clearly doesn't hate it outright and understands how to operate a business unlike these guys.
1372  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are so many people mean here?! lol on: April 18, 2015, 07:24:18 PM
I'm not mean Sad I just can't stand homphobic and xenophobic assholes and other people who try to enforce their own personal or religious beliefs on everybody else.

Sometimes I think people think disagreeing with someone is 'being mean' or that you need to be super polite because some people are super sensitive. I think people just need to man up because being sensitive is only going to get you upset all the time.

It's not even really anything to do with being sensitive, I get that, what it is is there are people who go around looking for reasons to be offended or are just too stupid to not read or listen to the stuff they find offensive. I get it if they're genuinely trying to make a target out of you or harass you when you want privacy but the sheer aggression from a lot of these assholes lately is pissing me off.
1373  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Welcome to Liberland, Europe’s Brand New Country! Taxes 'Optional', No Military! on: April 18, 2015, 07:15:48 PM
Can freedom (for a country) exist without a strong military force?

They will definitely need an army to fight against Serbia and Croatia, because both countries claim it. It's actually unoccupied, but it's more of a demilitarized zone than an unclaimed territory.

A military is just a fighting force of soldiers who are willing to protect their land and it's an organisational structure, it doesn't necessarily have to be funded with taxes, but it's incredibly naive to think a country can be formed without one.

What geniuses, they've gone and created one of the tiniest countries on earth that's landlocked, which means they won't have any real trade with other countries to help their country grow to begin with. Look it's a noble idea and everything, but just once I'd wish there was someone out there who had thought their actions through. To me it seems like this is just another pet project of some rich people like Sealand and they haven't given it any serious thought, take a look at what the Kurds are doing in Iraq and Syria, their operation is something I've been learning about awhile and it makes people like this look like a joke.

You need much more than just a few idiots planting a flag to form a country, I expect the Czech army to roll in within weeks and arrest them because naturally these guys won't have thought that far ahead and gotten themselves some weaponry to fight back with which they would have been able to do if they had a real coastal region for themselves.
1376  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cop "accidently" shoots and kills man. on: April 18, 2015, 02:11:52 PM
There isn't, I think most people will agree with that, this is why that news article about handcuffs that can drug or shock you while you're in custody worry me the most, police officers are just completely out of control now and the politicians obviously don't give a shit because they use the old line of "If you have nothing to hide" along with others who support them.
1377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oregon Sheriff Will Not Enforce Proposed Background Checks on Private Gun Sales on: April 17, 2015, 10:58:40 PM
I wouldn't mind if the gun was registered to my name. Why should I? It's even better because if it gets stolen it will be harder for thieves to trade it.

They will just take it to a government "gun buyback" for a nice profit "no questions asked" - after committing murder, etc. with it - and there's no guarantee the government will return and not destroy it.

If there's one thing I've learned lately people who try and justify these kind of systems and laws simply don't think about how badly they can be abused.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! And the guy inside just opens it to see what's going on! Cheesy

Pure Islamaphobia. No matter whatever you qrite, you only have Islamaphobic intention. It ain't Islam's war by no means. It is some political psychos' war. It is obvious they are doing it for political gains and not for Islam. Also there are probably non-muslims involved in this.

Ahhh, the old Islamaphobia rebuttal, sorry, but I look at Islam the same way I look at all other religions, it's only the people who don't take their religion all that seriously to begin with that are the harmless ones, the fact that you can only go there are 'probably' non-muslims involved in this also speaks volumes, no one wants anything to do with fucking Sharia law, least of all the Muslims which flee Islamic countries to stay in the west.

Let me put this into perspective for you, there are very few things that communists and capitalists agree on, especially on the extremes, but the one thing that brings us all together is how much we detest religion.
