1281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are some movies you watched that changed the way you view the society? on: May 06, 2015, 09:51:52 PM
I hate Hollywood movies. Its only violence and sex in their movies. There is no social message conveyed which can change the view towards society or change the society as whole. Just what would be the impact of those movies on youth?? And impacts are usually seen on youth.

If people want to go and find social messages they will, media shouldn't be used to enforce other peoples' moralities on the people who consume it, that's just propaganda and brainwashing.
1282  Other / Off-topic / Re: simple shop script accepts btc / paypal on: May 06, 2015, 09:23:24 PM
lol that sounds very illegal so I'd watch what you post here but if I were to do that then I'd hire a programmer with BTC to do a custom script, also I wouldn't post it so blatantly on the clearnet.
1283  Other / Off-topic / Re: simple shop script accepts btc / paypal on: May 06, 2015, 08:49:26 PM
You won't find many that have no registration especially if they let you go through paypal because of taxes and so on, many of these services use third parties that require registration even if you can just download them seperately initially.
1284  Other / Off-topic / Re: Looking for a game.. on: May 06, 2015, 08:47:52 PM
EVE is a total grindfest I wouldn't bother with it, there aren't very many games of the time you're looking for sadly I like them as well but I can think of a few for you.

Elite: Dangerous - This is for if you want a big multiplayer space sim, new update coming out this month that improves mining dramatically

Offworld Trading Company - Early access but pretty good, it's about economics though and your building up a colony on Mars, hope you understand supply and demand!

Galactic Civilisations 3 - Huge 4x strategy game that might be the kind of thing you're looking for, lots of space combat/building etc.
1285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Careful with your DNA, Ancestry.com is sharing data with the police on: May 06, 2015, 07:36:20 PM
Is anyone finding the new technology that is being manufactured for the police far more disturbing than usual or is it just me? The thing that got me most worried was the handcuffs that can drug you whenever they push a button.
1286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NOTA Campaign - Spoil your ballot paper on: May 06, 2015, 07:32:39 PM
For me, voting is a self defense mechanism that I engage in as long as I'm amongst others than can vote my rights and money away. Yesterday, I voted against a proposal that was going to raise the sales tax 16% and it failed. My vote mattered little other than being happy that I contributed to denying the proposal and the lies the statists were putting on tv about it.

To be honest as much as I mock Americans the democratic system you guys have it is pretty representative, a lot more so compared to the UK where we basically elect dictators every 5 years, this is why I rant about Direct Democracy so much, if we had that I'd be voting constantly or at least writing up petitions and so on to blockade certain laws, the best system you lot have is the write-in where you can put in any citizen you like to run and show your support, but we have none of that.

It's pretty much Labour/Conservative/<Insert flavour of the month third party here> for us lot, there hasn't been any real variety for the past century.

Holy shit, I think I finally found a political campaign I can actually relate too, I'm going to be spoiling my ballot paper in this fashion tomorrow and I will be putting down I want Direct-Democracy.

Looks like we need to make sure there are encryption tools out there for everybody in that case ;P

1291  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-06] CS - BIT's Shares Officially Begin Trading on Public Markets on: May 06, 2015, 09:38:10 AM
Still doing better than a lot of penny stocks and startups out there though so that's something, I think interest will definitely go up if we have a market crash and that stock is relatively unaffected.
1292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll: 51% of Democrats support criminalizing hate speech on: May 06, 2015, 09:31:26 AM
Anyone who supports this legislation is a coward and does not support freedom of speech, people are finally learning what real freedom is about and it's accepting the consequences of your actions.
1293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 08:54:09 AM
That's why cryptocurrencies are such a good idea, they are a way to mathematically stop the madness that is deficit spending and hyperinflation, also trust me I've done my research into Anarchism, I quite like the Anarcho-Syndicalists etc. sure, some of them aren't 100% for free markets, but you'll find a lot of them are anti-authoritarian, they're not bad at all, it's the pricks who want to use violence to get their way that we need to be wary of.
1294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 08:44:52 AM
I'm a centre Anarcho-voluntaryst for fucks sake, I like free markets, point is you guys don't even seem to know the political systems you're criticising, in case you didn't notice, I'm defending you, what we have here isn't a free market or democracy at all -_-
1295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Libertarianism's state in Europe? on: May 06, 2015, 08:33:43 AM
You guys keep ranting on about socialism but I'm pretty sure you don't understand what it actually means like most Americans who rant about it, what we have in the UK in particular is an Imperialist Aristocracy, the guys we have in power in the UK at least are obsessed about what their next job is going to be and nearly all of them have their sights on the EU commission which is why they don't want people even voting on it because it's so unpopular. There are small pockets of Libertarianism and Anarchism around but mostly politics is filled with a bunch of socialites and thugs, hell we even have Anarcho-communists out there who are basically Authoritarian scumbags, if there are any left Anarchists in the UK who don't follow these guys let me know it'd be nice to know you don't support them.

Remember how I told you guys about the UK school system and how socialites and thugs were the only ones there? Well guess where our politics comes from, it's not as sophisticated as you all like to believe.
1296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran bans "homosexual" and "devil worshipping" hairstyles on: May 06, 2015, 08:31:26 AM
That kind of hair style is... wrong somehow... I'm almost tempted to write "I support such legislation". But jokes aside that's what you get when authorities are out of control. I'm wondering how are they going to determine which haircut is "homo" or "devil" and which is not? Will they appoint a special committee for that?

More likely they'll target people they don't like very much, who question everything or ones who owe them money, I seriously doubt their religion is a sophisticated as they claim, they never are.
1297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reading Bedtime Stories To Children Should Be Restricted on: May 06, 2015, 08:19:21 AM
Even in my half asleep without coffee if you look at the article you'll realise it's a poor attempt at writing something ridiculous or clever by a stupid human being who didn't realise they don't understand satire, don't take it too seriously, that said, it is disturbing that they'd even think of something like this.

Sadly I think they've unintentionally highlighted that they clearly didn't read enough as children by writing such a stupid article.
1298  Other / Archival / Re: I need some C# help on: May 05, 2015, 03:08:53 PM
Be sure to get this book if you're serious about programming: http://www.amazon.com/Primer-5th-Edition-Stanley-Lippman/dp/0321714113

Even though it's C++ it's got tons of information and glossaries about all the programming vocubulary etc. you need and there are free .pdfs around on the internet if you really want it. I particularly recommend this one just because it explains all sorts of terms to you in actual English so you can have a conversation with other programmers and not feel completely lost.
1299  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-03] TheMotleyFool: You'll Never Guess Who's Investing in Bitcoin on: May 05, 2015, 02:41:06 PM
While it's definitely no long term project, Goldman Sachs gets money directly from the federal reserve, so short term it might be fun to ride the hyperinflation wave and trade up your coins, it'd be risky though.
1300  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: May 05, 2015, 07:31:42 AM
Good luck with the belief. I wasn't lying but if you believe it, I don't have any persuasive power to make you believe what I say.

By the way, Muslims do have the pursuasive power to make people pretend to believe what you say. The power is threatening to kill people who question it, and ultimately killing some of them. That's why most people pretend to believe it or at least pretend to respect it. Otherwise, Islam would be treated more like other kooky belief systems, like Scientology.
Plus they threaten to kill them if they leave Islam.

And to be fair, Zakir does not lie about this.  He supports it.  He also supports stoning women to death if they misbehave, and cutting off feet and hands of thieves.  These things he considers good for society as they cause people to fear doing bad things, so they are "for the greater good."

And then in the next post he will spout off about "Islam is a religion of peace."

"Plus they threaten to kill them if they leave Islam." - It's wrong. They are free to leave. There is no compulsion or punishment for it.

Qur'an (4:89) - "They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper."
