2281  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-19] Markets Surge $18 Billion, BTC Heads Back To $8K on: May 20, 2019, 04:14:05 AM
Within the last 9 days, the market cap has increased from 186,672,287,298 to 249,448,602,401... It's $62B+ The market is getting stronger and in my opinion it's a great gain within a short time. Maybe we are moving to the moon  Roll Eyes

As I am writing this response to you, bitcoin is at $8,049.88 with marketcap of $142,570,847,008. Indeed, there is the overall sentiment that bitcoin has more energy left to burn to make it to $9,000 soon. And of course, we are all cheering and rejoicing at this sudden burst to the "moon" but then we still have to be careful as we don't really know for sure if bears can be back quickly.
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBS '60 Minutes' 5/19/19 on Bitcoin. Will it cause FOMO or FUD? (Take the Poll!) on: May 20, 2019, 03:58:23 AM

What is the most important thing here is that bitcoin is now truly being talked about in the popular mainstream media and reality speaking we could not expect these people who are into cryptocurrency to fully grasp the whole beast. As they say, even negative press mention can still be turned into a positive one because you are on the buzz. I am sure that there will be some people who will research for more details on bitcoin because of that broadcast. Somehow this can create some FOMO but we should not think that a single program time allocation can create a tide for bitcoin there is no way for that to happen.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huobi Global brings you bitcoin pizza 50% off... massive on: May 19, 2019, 08:46:22 PM
I am sure this 50% off promotion is only on the fee they charge per transaction but some people here are surprised like they are going to get btc at 50% less price, i think it is not possible for any service to sell btc at half price and regarding fee reduction i think it is a very normal promotion to increase volume on their platform.

Of course, it would be too much of a promotion giving a big discount of 50% for bitcoin buyers. Maybe that can be done with the real pizza (heck even 90% discount can be done with that) but never with bitcoin unless there is a threshold or limit maybe. Yes, it is quite possible that the discount is on fees.
2284  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-18]eBay Refutes Rumors of Supporting Bitcoin Payments on: May 19, 2019, 08:20:45 PM

So finally we have the confirmation that the rumor started in the Consensus 2019 is not true. eBay as of now is not interested to integrate bitcoin or cryptocurrency into its eCommerce platform. So aside from Amazon, eBay is also not into this way of payment infrastructure even if there is a demand for it to consider at least bitcoin into its ecosystem. Well, let's just hope that in the future they will wake up to love bitcoin too.
2285  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-18]Bitfinex to Have its Injunction Modified by Supreme Court on: May 19, 2019, 08:04:39 PM

This is a good development working for Bitfinex as the injunction can be more specific and clearer this time. Let's hope that something positive can come out with this case and that it will be the users of the exchange to emerge as the real winners of this saga and not just the business interest of some people either connected or working for the exchange. Everybody will have a fair day at the open and democratic court and so Bitfinex is enjoying this right. May the big lesson of this drama seep in with other exchanges: Do not do anything above the law or its hand will eventually catch you!

“I’m interested in blockchain, not bitcoin.” I found this article to be very informative I have not read White Paper but to learn that 'blockchain' is not mentioned surprises me. Long article but well worth the read.

Yes, it is worth reading and for a non-techie guy like me I am amazed at how a simple term is now evolving steadily and can mean many things depending on who is using it. It is also amazing how this forum was playing a big role for the evolution of the term "blockchain" which did not actually appeared in the original bitcoin whitepaper. Right now, there are now many different versions of the blockchain and I expect a lot can be introduced years from now.
2287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people still think bitcoin is following stock market? on: May 19, 2019, 07:38:04 PM

People who are already veterans with bitcoin and cryptocurrency are aware that there is no connection or correlation whatsoever between bitcoin and stocks or even with other investment vehicles like gold, forex, derivatives, etc. Bitcoin and the rest of the gang is a standalone a class of its own and if ever there can be times when they move altogether those are just coincidences not worthy of studying. Right now, stocks are not doing well as the market is afraid of the results with the trade war between the powerful China (as well as with the influential EU) and the withering (though surviving for now) United States. The problems with stocks is one factor why the attention is focused on bitcoin right now.
2288  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scammed by Bitblender!? on: May 19, 2019, 07:18:57 PM
http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion

yes the Transactions are confrimed.
Yes, this is the right one. Maybe you can try to wait more longer? or you can try to PM Hhampuz for this as he's the manager of the bitblender signature campaign here, and I have a guess that he has direct contact of the bitblender admin.

I never knew there are any phishing site targeting bitblender however it's not impossible.people.
Yes, there is. Try to google. There's even a google ad (blender.ID) for that which is absurd how google filter this kind of sites on their ad network.

That's amazing how even Google is not able to detect that scam. The site is actually looking good and must have received some share of the market for this service as you would never detect it to be a scam site. On to the main topic, good that the transactions were eventually confirmed after some delay and OP must have been relieved already.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Debit card coins? on: May 19, 2019, 04:02:24 PM

Please take a look at Tokencard though I don't have any personal experience with what they are offering but I think this is also worth looking at...it is powered by Bancor and Ethereum which can be a good start. As claimed by the site: "Welcome to the post-bank era. Meet your self-sovereign banking service. TokenCard gives you the tools to take total control and ownership of your financial world, powered by Ethereum. Manage your digital assets in a secure, non-custodial Contract Wallet. Spend them freely with the TokenCard card." Tokencard is having TKN which it called as the Token token whatever that means.
2290  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for workers. If want make from 2000$ write to me on: May 19, 2019, 03:29:49 PM
It's nonsense to offer a job worth of $2000 without adding more information on it. I tend to think this will lead us to something bad like HYIP or other pyramid schemes business and that's why he didn't put any additional information in this thread. For everyone, be careful! It's never that easy to make money unless you scam people.

Transparency is an important factor if someone is posting a job here. I am hoping that this not another scheme where an investment of money is actually needed and what's worse the program is destined to fail actually. Okay, so let's more from OP. Please provide more information here otherwise you will not be getting that much attention.

Update: This is actually not a job but a membership platform where the lowest level can cost $97 per month. There is an affiliate program where you can also promote the site and earn some money.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO FOR THE HOMELESS - DUNKIN DONUTS LIKES US TOO!!!! (discounted me too!) on: May 19, 2019, 03:03:56 PM
It's a great there there are people who would have initiative to help other people thru cryptocurrency. I hope that what you have started will grow to something bigger for you to help more people. Just an advice, you should compile proof of the amount you have received as a donation along with the funds you have used in your own project. This will help build confidence and trust for people who will be willing to help you with your project. Good luck.

Indeed, more people especially those in the world of cryptocurrency if they would feel that the cause and the system used can be trusted and transparent. The more a project is open to the community, the better is the response from people who have generous heart and wallet. Just giving a little can help many people eat some foods and maybe also provide some shelter if possible. Charity is one of the many that cryptocurrency can easily help.
2292  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: FasterCapital. Helping startups get up and running and prosper on: May 19, 2019, 02:42:32 PM
You should at least put up the main requirements on how do people to be eligible for that start up.We are talking $200k-2M here which is too good to be true and first time seeing that someone do offer this kind of stuff.

Long and lengthy process, the OP didn't provide the link but everything can be found in their website here: (https://www.fastercapital.com/).  They say they've open 4 round throughout the year, and now they are on the 2nd round already.  So basically, you apply (https://www.fastercapital.com/entrepreneur/joinus.html#questionnaire), they will review, and then they will contact you. And according to the site.

Quote
If I join your acceleration program, when can I expect to raise money?

There's no general answer for such question. Please note that raising funds is a lengthy process and requires considerable efforts and attention. It all depends on your startup, how much you have invested, how much money are you looking to raise and what equity you are ready to provide. Please note that in general less than 1% of startups end up raising capital. At Fastercapital we are seeing a better success rate. Of course if the company is ready to be incubated then that will help it raise money sooner.
So a short answer is anything between three months to a year depending on the factors that were mentioned earlier.

https://www.fastercapital.com/ourmodel.html

So it's not that easy and you have to wait for months to here back from them, and probably another round of process before you can get the funding and how much it's going to be.

Assuming that this a legit start-up funding incubator,  I am sure that the process will not be that easy and only those which are really prepared can have the chance to be reviewed and eventually granted the money they are looking for. But this is a good opportunity for the chosen few. I do admire organizations like this as they can be agents of innovations and much-need help for many qualified entrepreneurs.

2293  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: STABLE COIN between BITCOIN AND CRYPTO BACKED BY US DOLLAR on: May 19, 2019, 02:31:58 PM
There is an alternative. At Monetran, we've designed a token for use on the Stellar network which uses a novel approach to achieve stability. Instead of backing the currency with gold or other commodities which can't provide stability of price, we have backed our crypto with interest bearing financial assets, i.e. short term T-bills. Although USD backed coins can provide stability in the short run, it comes at a cost of built in monetary inflation. If held for any significant amount of time, the purchasing power of the coin will decrease. Our method not only gives our token price stability, it enables the token to serve as a real store of value because it will gradually increase over time. Once fully operational, we will also give token holders the ability to redeem directly through the company.

https://www.monetran.com/

"“Monetran will be involved in various types of internet commerce using their token, Moneda. Plans call for an immediate entry into the international remittance market, which is worth $600 billion on estimate. Longer term goals include partnerships with major retailers such as Amazon and Walmart."

To me, this makes sense. A stablecoin backed by the dollar fiat is subject to less stability since inflation can be eating its value but with the use of T-bills a different picture can be emerging. The MONEDA coin then is very interesting. I am wondering: What are the specific strategies that this coin will be working with to make it popular and be adopted by the many especially that we now have a flood of stablecoins in the market? And how exactly will MONEDA convince Amazon and Walmart into its side?

2294  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-19] Markets Surge $18 Billion, BTC Heads Back To $8K on: May 19, 2019, 02:14:13 PM
Ok, it looks like we have re-tested $8k again. I'm confident than we can sustain this growth and this time it will attempt $8400-$8700. And as expected, the pullback is very healthy as those who are waiting then to buy at the $7k range. Of course, a retracement is imminent, but we will have to see what the next wave of FOMO will bring, obviously it's in the range of $9k-$10k, but let's see in the next couple of days.

Bitcoin is now getting so excited as it showed its resiliency being back at the $8,000 level. We all are hoping that this time it can make a big surge though we are also preparing for the worse as it is definitely unpredictable. I am wondering what can happen if a big chunk of bitcoin will be sold in an exchange...will it be back to $7,000 or just ignored the development?
2295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] ROCKZ - IS THE WORLD’S MOST BULLETPROOF CRYPTOCURRENCY on: May 19, 2019, 01:56:49 PM

Hi, I would like to ask about when bounty hunters can expect a reward.

Thanks

I hope someone from the campaign or the dev team can spare this thread some time and attention and give us an official update on both the rewards we should be getting and the whole project itself. This project actually has a good potential to be one of the leading stablecoin the industry can use and can be the reason why I supported it with its promotions here and in the social media.
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty][Pre-Sale][LivenPay - Spend and Earn Cryptocurrency Instantly][LIVE] on: May 19, 2019, 01:31:12 PM
Any update about the distribution of bounties? The project has reached the softcap which is $10m and now they cant even make a post for update.

I am also waiting any good update on this project. Now, let's hope someone can give us some time and attention here. In my view, this is a good project and run by professional people so maybe they can at least share any development here about the project itself and the bounty promotion that they are running in the forum. Thanks in advance to the one from the team to answer this.
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Adopter Proves Ownership of Bitcoin Address Claimed by Wright on: May 19, 2019, 01:19:16 PM
Wright is just making a fool of himself claiming to be satoshi, now that he needs to show proof it all came out that he had put a publicity stunt that ended up shaming himself.

Craig Wright is a big joker and it is sad that many believed on his many jokes. Now that he is finally exposed as to his real character, maybe he should be sued by those whom he defrauded. Here is a great opportunity to finally write off another joker in the world of cryptocurrency but then again am sure he will be sorely missed for the entertainment that he provided through the years.
2298  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-19] Markets Surge $18 Billion, BTC Heads Back To $8K on: May 19, 2019, 01:05:14 PM

The majority of BTC traders and investors were secretly hoping that Bitcoin price would correct all the way back down to $6k or lower. This would provide ample opportunity to accumulate for a bigger bull run later this year. Their hopes have been dashed this Sunday morning as Bitcoin surged again during Asian trading.

For the best part of the past day, Bitcoin price $8035.33 -0.35% has remained range-bound between $7,250 and $7,400. It broke out of this channel a couple of hours ago during the Asian session and surged 9 percent to hit $7,920 according to Coinmarketcap.com. Daily volume had trailed off by half over the past few days but had already started to ramp up this morning.

Just yesterday it appeared that Bitcoin was taking a breather, possibly poised to drop back to major support zones. A number of prominent analysts were eyeing $6,400 or lower for a possible retracement. At the time of writing, this looks unlikely as the bulls have taken control of the markets again.

Source: https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-back-8000-crypto-markets-18-billion/

And now, we are officially back to the $8,000 game again. Let's hope that from here, bitcoin still has some energy left to move towards the $9,000 and maybe even the $10,000 level. There is no question that the overall positive sentiment of the market works wonder in pushing bitcoin towards the $8,000 even if some analysts thought that the dip can lead to the $7,000 and even $6,000 retracement.

What's your take of the next of bitcoin beyond this stage...are you going to move more or maybe some correction can be imminent? Can this level now strikes FOMO in the hearts of the many not still joining the bitcoin bandwagon?

2299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A Complete Guide to Margin Trading for Beginners on: May 19, 2019, 11:40:08 AM
This is a great guide for someone who has never tried margin trading. You have emphasized the risks, which are huge comparing to normal trading, with the dreaded margin call being on the top of them. The main benefit is primarily the increased buying potential, as you pointed out.
I would just add one point: you are already taking huge risks by even engaging in margin trading. Minimize the risk by always trading a portion of your entire portfolio. I know some people are striving to get huge gains and get them fast. As a result, they trade their entire account with huge leverages. Better to be safe than sorry. Therefore, decide to trade a portion of your account with smaller leverages, so if you get liquidated, at least the majority of your funds are still there, and you get to have many additional tries/trades.

Margin trading can works wonder for traders who are discipline and know the risks involved so that he can easily manage them. This is definitely not the right way for people who have gambling as the mindset as it can lead to a big disaster. The most important benefit with margin trading is the leverage offered to the user but of course it also entails risks so one should know the right strategies to contain risks while maximizing potential for profits. As what you said, better safe than sorry.

Best tip I've got? Don't click strange links in crypto. Second best tip?

A strange link in crypto: www.voodoocrypto.com

(Voodoo Crypto is where I learned how to trade, which has been one of the best decisions of my lifetime)

I thought you are just joking about that VoodooCrypto site but I am wrong because indeed that can be a good site where to learn many things on trading and cryptocurrency. So good share here. This can be the best site especially for newbies in this whole thing.

The best tip I can give for anyone is never to listen and based your decision just because you heard or read something about it from someone else...so always do your research and due diligence before jumping into the hot water.
