2301  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Want to start mining.. on: January 29, 2014, 08:36:58 AM
The easiest way for you to mine is cloud mining. They run their own hardware for you but you pay for it. Check out my description to see how Smiley

Nah...cex.io hashrate price is way to high and it is not profitable.
+1
But AvalonMiner stated thats the easiest way to mine and he is right. Nothing beats it. You simply register > pay for your hashing power > watch your BTC flowing.

You are right, OP just want to start mining and AvalonMiner stated it is easy to do clouding mining.
My bad for the "Nah" part. Tongue

2303  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX withdrawal delay on: January 29, 2014, 08:29:39 AM
Has anyone had recent experience with the current (not historical) delays at MtGox for withdrawing funds?
What sort of delay should I expect?

From what I have heard, it is still bad...
2304  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: January 29, 2014, 08:25:46 AM
Anyone do Japanese domestic transfer using a CitiBank-JP account to/from Gox?
I hear that Gox wont/cant do business with Citibank-US
and am wondering if that is a US Gov restriction or maybe Citibank's internal policy?

Just got an answer from MtGox, that Citibank (in Japan) does not accept the transaction associated with the bitcoin.
 Angry

huh.   I just received a withdrawal today to my citibank japan account from gox and have been doing it for 5 or more months without issue.

This two pieces of info are conflicting with each other. Sad
2305  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: January 29, 2014, 08:24:14 AM
I have been verified on Mtgox, I wonder if I should deposit any money on the website

You mean deposit fiat? Or bitcoin?
2306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Dogecoin: C-C2ME I (2014) ~ Let the race begin! on: January 29, 2014, 08:20:38 AM
What can we do with all those alt-coins right now, apart from gambling?

Send to Trance so he can start his charity, Cyber Donate. So he can make a name for himself within the BTCitcoin network!

 Wink

lol
Too bad, I have no alt-coins Tongue
2307  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 256 ghash on: January 29, 2014, 06:47:35 AM
You could start cloud mining. You can literally buy terahashes of power. Just check out my siganture for more info Cheesy

The only way to earn in cex.io is to spam referral links and lure more people to the site  Wink
2308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitPay Invoice Expired - Help on: January 29, 2014, 06:32:11 AM
If bitpay send the bitcoin back, will btc-e credit it back to OP's account?
I have never used btc-e, but I heard the support there is bad...
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Make me an altcoin on: January 29, 2014, 06:12:53 AM
why not use them only if you are offering the same price

Very simple, on Coingen you need to pay extra 0.05btc (a total of 0.1) for having the source.  Smiley
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Havent been refunded transactions when failed on: January 29, 2014, 06:11:13 AM
Check you address on blockchain.info, and see if you can find the the tx.
2311  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why BTC price drop under $800 ? on: January 29, 2014, 06:08:15 AM
If you combine the Silkroad news, with the russian bank, plus the chinese law that will take effect in 3 days, you have your answer

With all the 3 bad news, there is like just 10% drop.
Indeed I am pretty surprised to see the drop is not as bad as I expected.
2312  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How am I doing so far/ What else should I be doing? on: January 29, 2014, 06:01:07 AM
Where else should I be going and what are your opinions on these two sites?

Buy some bitcoin when they are cheap.
Don't waste time on faucets, or spamming referral link.
2313  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The Myth of the Lazy Miner on: January 29, 2014, 05:39:55 AM
If mining is f* easy, cex.io cannot sell the hashrate at such a high price. Wink

Theymos probably thought that John joined the dark side like so many forum members in the past. Glad to see you're still working for Obi-Wan.  Grin

Haha, nice one!

Good to see you back, John K!

After coming back to make 2 posts, John is gone again (since 12 Jan).  Roll Eyes

Hey guys,

Sorry for my (yet again) unannounced hiatus for the past month or so - I have been extremely busy due to heavy travelling and am just back to Malaysia from China. I am alive,
although not really well and extremely apologetic for what my delay have done. I've released a few escrows I've been holding in the order of magnitude and those I can
clear within this hour.

bitcointalk forum coins (of 1000 BTC)
https://blockchain.info/tx/fe43797656265047b886de3bbac48d720cf60b4dfeadb61fa87434a80ba7f72b

I'll clear the raffle coins once I figure out who won as I didn't receive a PM regarding this yet, but be rest assured that I'll clear this ASAP.

I'll be back to clear everything else once I get back to the States again - I'm catching another intercontinental flight in roughly 12 hours which should last around 25 hours including
layovers, and hopefully I'll use the jet lag when I reach there to clear the remaining urgent escrows.

Best,
John

Mommy isn't going to be thrilled with the new electric bill.

lol  Cheesy

just buy some bitcoin on an exchange instead.

+1
If your mining profitability comes from the expected uprising bitcoin price in the future, then you should just buy btc directly.
2317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a good bitcoin wallet on: January 29, 2014, 04:21:56 AM
Electrum or Multibit is good.
You don't need to have the full blockchain with them.
2318  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambled away my tuition bitcoins on: January 29, 2014, 04:08:24 AM
You are doing it wrong!
Always play on *2.1 or higher payout and always double the bet if you lose!

lol, another winning "strategy"  Wink
2319  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can I reach Friecat/Asicminer? on: January 29, 2014, 04:05:31 AM
I get a stupid error message when trying to send a PM on here..

If the error you mentioned is the 360 seconds limit, then you just need to wait 360 seconds to send the PM.
Actions like logging in, making post and searching will reset the timer.
2320  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Is it worth investing in USB Block Erupters? on: January 29, 2014, 03:45:58 AM
If you could convince someone to sell you a box full of Block Erupters at about $1 each, then they'd be great. At about $5/each, they'd be so-so (and still about to be obsoleted, cost-wise). Anything more than that, and they're just not worth the cost anymore.

Even for $10/each, you can take all of them, and then sell them on eBay for profits.  Wink
