1361  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: GPU pool for BTC on: February 07, 2014, 02:02:35 PM
You can get way better results mining scrypt coins with your GPU, and then sell them for bitcoin.

If you really want to mine bitcoin, you need to use pools with a low minimum payment threshold...
1362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Choosing BTC address on: February 07, 2014, 01:50:06 PM
Hello,

I have seen some people with choosen BTC address, at least the first letters. For example, satoshi dice has all their addresses starting with 1dice.......

How would you do that?

Thank you!

These addresses can be generated using vanitygen.

1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving away 1 logo spot on mission to take Bitcoin flag to space on: February 07, 2014, 01:42:39 PM
Please submit your logo to this thread and why your logo needs to be on the shuttle that takes Bitcoin flag to space https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=441303.0

You mentioned "1 Logo" here, but on the other thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=451305.0) you mentioned "5 Logo".
So, which one is correct?

This thread is for any logo. The other is for good causes Cancer, world hunger ,peace. This thread gives away 1 logo spot for anything . Your Business Logo? Ask someone to marry you?Your Bitcoin address?

I see.
Thanks for your clarification.

1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self-updating Bitcoin Price Tag Shown Off In East London on: February 07, 2014, 12:32:13 PM
It looks very cool.
But, why don't the merchants use ordinary price tag (in fiat), and make a bitcoin conversion at the cashier?
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fastEST way to earn money with bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 12:28:48 PM
Fastest way: send all your bitcoin to a gambling site, and make an all-in bet.
You can double (or make 10x back, or lose) your bitcoin in seconds.  Wink

Come on, bitcoin is not a get rich fast scheme....

I know but Im currently short on money so what is the best fast way?

If you find a way to earn money quick and without any risks (including being arrested), share with us Smiley
1372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 12:22:40 PM
probably the combined effects of apple news + mtgox pause bitcoin withdrawals + Russia "banned" bitcoin

... plus the poll results that the general public is not interested in Bitcoin or any other payment alternative to the dollar.

Are you saying that 79% won't consider using bitcoin poll?
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like a new record for BDD, Is this crash far from over? past monday? on: February 07, 2014, 12:20:11 PM
A healthy practice is to check the FIAT value of bitcoin as infrequently as possible.

I recommend once every 3-6 months at the most. Day-to-day and week-to-week fluctuations are as meaningless as turn 5 of a Civilization game.

Well said...  Smiley
