1381  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt.Gox SCAM? $38million disappeared. Large sums affected. on: February 07, 2014, 11:51:55 AM

Wow that's exact what Max Keiser has been saying about the exchanges. They simply don't care, Max believes the exchanges needs to change before bitcoin has the slightest change of becoming more stable.

Great story I recommend everyone read it. And if anything if you have bitcoins in MtGox I would take out of them, even if they are in cold storage. There are other places and other technology to put your bitcoins into cold storage.

It is indeed pretty easy to set up a cold wallet with armory.  Smiley
1382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [FUD] Russia, China & Apple ban Bitcoins. Gox closing. Is this the end? on: February 07, 2014, 11:48:05 AM

1383  Economy / Services / Re: Get 0.4 BTC for your Signature! [ minimum 10 posts :-) ] on: February 07, 2014, 11:44:14 AM
Is anyone received any payment from this sig?
do you think there is any hope..?

Of course no lol.
Just check the first page, and you will find enough warning...

He should be wary. 0.4 BTC for a post a day? It sounds too good to be true ..........
Must say i am suspicious of this campaign too. Use at your own risk Smiley
No replies by the OP, after all the questions? odd, very odd!
For 14 days or 30 days? Will you use escrow or prove you have the funds? Lots of people have been scamming around here recently and this absolutely stinks of being a scam.
Maybe 200 people will add this signature in this month...

0.4*750$*200=150'000$  ROTFL  Grin
Probably just another scam. Added negative trust until he proves to be legit.

It is possible...
but it is also possible that the pyramid will collapse sooner...
No idea. Who knows? Nobody does (except the owner). That's the fun! It's a gamble, these things are always a gamble.

Agree.
People should view this as a gamble, and be prepared to lose their bitcoin. Smiley
So, only put in the amount, you find it comfortable to lose...
1385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Get 120% in few hours on: February 07, 2014, 08:58:45 AM
I love to earn 120% in few hours but what if they will not send back?

Someone sent 7 btc and got back 0.073 btc lol.

It is possible that that guy got his payment in parts. I got my 0.2BTC deposit back in 5 or 6 hours with 4 different payments.

It is possible...
but it is also possible that the pyramid will collapse sooner...
1386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2000$ to invest, right now? on: February 07, 2014, 08:55:18 AM

1389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: New Exchange/Trading site opening CryptoPowers.com on: February 07, 2014, 08:49:28 AM
Why should I come to your exchange for trading. I am already on other ones.

That is a great question: Why use us? Well as of right this moment "The Power to Trade" is still in development, but we are coming to you for your input. We want to build a site that the people want to use. Is there anything you want to see included.

How will we be different so far?
- First of all we wont steal your proof of stake mining like the others do.
- Our site will have a faucet built in.
- Rewards for posting topics or comments to our forum.
- Unique coin pairs not found anywhere else.
- Our site will be much more that just a exchange, so you will have access to many powers.
- We will use site powers to build value of coins.

Our gold in not to build a great exchange, but to build long term value in the crypto market. We have lots of really great ideas, but none of them will matter without you. You, and others like you are the key to our success and we know that.

I see.
Looking forward to see it Smiley

Good to know your hashrate improves a lot now (400KH/s -> 500KH/s) Smiley
1391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shall we make a bitcoin bank? on: February 07, 2014, 08:44:04 AM
Bitcoin is designed to be decentralized, and that is exactly why a lot of people have faith in it...
1392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CEX at .2635 on: February 07, 2014, 08:40:42 AM
I'm thinking it'll go back up again in the 0.035 range... Or at least I hope for my sake!
nah...it won't happen....
That's what I thought around Christmas time. After plummeting, it came back up in the 0.045 range in Jan.
You never know...

Wishful thinking, hoping, and praying are all terrible investment strategies.

Well said.

The current price ~0.028 is highly overpriced.
To get the price back up, you either need
(a) difficulty increase at a much slower pace in the future
(b) more people buying hashrate with no idea about the profitability.

1395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it too late to get involved on: February 07, 2014, 08:35:16 AM
I probably isn't worth trying to mine BTC now - actually buying Bitcoin is likely to offer a lot better return on investment  Smiley

If it isn't, then who mines the rest coins?
I've understood there is still some.

Some don't understand the affect of difficulty on profitabilty.
Some mine for fun and to support the bitcoin network.

1397  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want in will my PC even do it? on: February 07, 2014, 08:28:20 AM
Mine is definitely not worth it now is certainly not.....

why?

if you have many Ghash...

If you have free hardware, it would be profitable to run it.
But, it will not be profitable to buy hardware or buy hashrate to mine bitcoin...

Thank you for providing information about this website.  I am interested in trying it out.

Be careful.  It is not sustainable.

What do you mean?

That was somewhat vague to me.

Does that mean this is not a reliable means to obtain profit?

Do you think there is a safe and reliable way to make 20% profit in a few hours?  Cheesy
