2301  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: November 26, 2013, 11:09:27 PM
Hey guys, did you ever get a board which will not hash no matter what settings you try? I have obtained one such board. All it throws are loads of errors. I have tested the usual suspects voltage, etc.
It's a new PCIexpress style board, so I cannot bypass a chip.
I have tried disabling chips in software but the board will not hash. I tried it as a sole board connected to an Mboard.

Have two of these cards that I RMA'd.

One throws nothing but errors, and another just doesn't hash at all. Doesn't matter what slots on the mboard I throw them in.

It doesn't feel right since they are actually giving respect to those that believed in them?

 Point taken.

Don't need to come here "after the battle" whining how unfair the life is....  Roll Eyes

There is a world of difference being able to order directly from KNC, vs people on these forums that I have never done business with, offering referral orders.

KNC has the track record, for sure, and they have chosen to reward their early customers. That is their prerogative, of course, and mine to take issue with as a customer with no ability to directly order this new carrot they have dangling in front of our faces.

Good luck to everyone that got in on this early. Lets hope it pays off massively for you.

ive read that these pull around 360W each when on the high setting....

280W at high speed according to the documentation. Not sure where the 360W number is coming from.

Any shipping updates Canary ?

Really unhappy about this not being open to new customers. What a clusterfuck Sad
Check your PM

Thanks for the offer dude. Don't like the way KNC is handling this round right now. Something doesn't feel right.

Two weeks it will be.

I mean, I don't want to sound rude, but "two weeks" ? Seriously ?!

And the only way to presently order this is to deal with resellers who I trust even less than KNC ?

2308  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnC Neptune order nr? on: November 26, 2013, 06:31:47 PM
How are you paying for these ? I'm not seeing how to order them on the KNC page.
If you are an existing customer (i.e. purchased hardware from KnC before), login to your account,  then when you click on "Bitcoin Mining Hardware" you will see the Neptune for sale.

Well crap. Just created an account, and don't have an option to order. Oh well.

EDIT: From the page.

"Limited batch for registered customers only,"

*sigh* So much for us plebes getting one of these...

Good Job!  Whatever you do, don't ever address the actual substance of a post.  Just go into personal attack mode.  It's what all reputable company spokesmen do after all.   Cheesy

You know you have no case to defend yourself with, when all you're left with is doxxing your former customers and lobbing personal attacks.

Honestly, it's just sad to watch Josh Zerlan self-destruct so publicly.

2311  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: November 26, 2013, 05:04:32 PM
Where's that lawsuit you promised?  Oh... that's right, you're a liar.  No lawsuit from ol' Christian "Xian" Antkow.  I wonder why?

Don't keep asking silly questions you know the answers to, Josh. It only makes yourself look like an even greater fool and petty bottom-dwelling troll.

For the forum-readers that are not aware of what happened, after considering a number of variables, it wasn't worth continuing to sue you after your lawyers threatened me with a frivolous libel and defamation suit, after formally addressing you, and preparing a breach of contract suit.

In retrospect, best decision I ever made not continuing to sue you, and throwing good money after bad.

It wasn't a total loss. Marco Santori, the lawyer I retained, is a fucking phenomenal guy, maintain a retainer with him, and look forward to working with them for personal matters in the future.

  *hugs*

PS: Are you and Sonny going to Pennsylvania to defend yourselves in court ? I really hope the information I provided can help the case against you.
PPS: Speaking of silly questions you should know the answers to, when is your Monarch bullet run expected to ship out to preorder customers ? November has almost come to an end.
2312  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] BITMAIN launch first batch AntMiner S1-180GH/s 360W on wall on: November 26, 2013, 12:48:32 PM
AntMiner does not connect to eligius - status: dead

AntMiner is doing you a favor.  It is a next-gen device and knows better than to mine at Eligius and support Luke-Jrs shenanigans.

2315  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: November 26, 2013, 06:49:27 AM
Is it remotely possible that miners are really being assembled and tested here in any reasonable volume?

Not possible. Also, suddenly hungry for pizza...
2316  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 26, 2013, 06:39:23 AM
That is completely unreasonable. Ambient below 72F ? WTF is going on over there at HashFast ?
HashFast is very busy assembling the first batch of true 3rd gen Bitcoin mining hardware.
These miners are not intended for home use.  In other words, commercial use only.
They aren't set-top boxes or your Playstation.  They need to be hosted in a temperature controlled environment, not your basement/garage/attic.
"Unreasonable" is expecting heavy-duty professional grade hardware to run reliably in an ad hoc amateur setup.
"Unreasonable" is buying a supercharged Cadillac XLR because you want the high-compression 443 hp engine, then whining because it only takes premium gas.

Not sure if serious or trolling...
2317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 3 TH/s Bitcoin Mining Hardware KL-YUG by KotakLabs on: November 26, 2013, 05:05:14 AM
HAHA!  Cheesy
Just point out when and where did we say that we have trademarked our ElectrictyCutter Technology / Power Chill Cooling Technology
This clause is not considered. (With everyone laughing at KotakLabs Team reading this!)

Posts like this do not inspire confidence in the professionalism or legitimacy of your operation.
2318  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 26, 2013, 05:01:35 AM
Quote
Hashfast shall have no obligations for breach of warranty if the alleged defect or non-conformance is found to have occurred as a result of operation in an ambient temperature other than 5-22 degrees Celsius (40-72 degrees  Fahrenheit)
Better not mine during summertime!
Did they just say "warranty void if ambient temp goes over 22c"?

That is completely unreasonable. Ambient below 72F ? WTF is going on over there at HashFast ?

Does anyone see any issues with using a 850w psu for 2 cubes on high?
Per what I have read, that should be fine. I am getting 4, so I am going to hook 2 up to a 1000w and 1 to an 850w. Then I am going to split the last one with a 6pin from the 1000w and one from the 850w. I would like to keep a 200w buffer on both PSU's.

FWIW, there should not be much problem with you running 3 cubes on a 1000W power supply... In theory anyway.
2320  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: November 26, 2013, 01:26:57 AM
If the Wi-Fi is the only way you can connect to the Internet, please use some kind of the Wi-Fi to Ethernet bridge!  this setup will make AntMiner to think it's connected to the Internet via the network cable and will not slow down the hashing!

I've been tossing dd-wrt on Linksys wireless routers to turn them into bridges for my Ethernet based miners. Thanks for the insight ! Will be sure to run the AntMiner over ethernet once it arrives.

 Cheers !
