I can't find this in North America and I have no idea how to tell if it is defaulted to DHCP. I found this one...will it work? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AOEA7A (there are 4 different types on that link - doesn't matter which one as long as one works. That is a simple switch, and has no need for DHCP; it will be enable communication between the S5 and your network's DHCP server.

Ain't gonna lie, starting to think about shutting down, putting my wallet into cold storage, and forget about Bitcoin for a decade.

For the S5 what is the recommended worker difficulty. I have been using 2048. Is that high enough?
1024 should be good enough. 2048 is probably too high.

Can we used more that one coupons per order Or must used one coupon per s5 order ?
Coupons are applied only once to each individual unit ordered.

This is probably a good choice for $22, but it is not the same fan Phil, Strato and myself were talking about. That fan was a deal on ebay for ~$8/fan, but with a wicked connector. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191443200211Ah, ok. I don't do the whole EBay thing anymore. Hopefully these fans off Amazon.com will do the trick. I'll report back a bit later once I've done some testing.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y1HLA8/Delta Electronics AFB1212SHE 120x120x38mm Cooling Fan, 151.85 CFM, 58 dBA, 3700 RPM, 1.06 AMP, PWM 4-pin connector THIS IS FOR THE DELTA AFB1212SHE FAN
Thanks for this. Just ordered four of those fans off Amazon. Will give them a whirl. Looking to order a couple more S5's this week. What's the option code on the end? It'll be like AFB1212SHE-F00 or something. That's what determines things like the PWM, tach output vs locked rotor sensor, etc.

take out the 288watt cap or the voltage limit of 0.790 and we can hit 1.8th/s
What do you mean by "take out the 288watt cap" ? Blank out the field ? Set it to 0 ? Set it to a high number like 350 ?

Update: Ordered two more SP20's, and decided to run them as fast as possible. Something that I'm really impressed with is the self-regulation of the units - They'll adjust themselves based on environmental factors. Here's some shots of three of my SP20's, and it's interesting to see the graph over several days now; performance increasing at night when it gets colder, and decreases during the day when it gets warmer. Very cool stuff. Love the SPTech products, and my only complaint is their loudness for home-based mining. I'm running these in a garage as they are way too loud to have within earshot of a bedroom. IMO, the sweet spot for home-based mining is anything below ~58dBA.

If you have an older router load it with DDWRT you can plug as many antminers into that router as there is ports. Set up DDRWRT as a client bridge.... It will connect to your router. basically you could have a small farm run as far as the signal goes and not have to run a cable. If the signal is good this works. if not you can increase the transmit signal on the router.. If I am too far I get drop outs but this is how I connect my S1 in the garage right now
+1 for DDWRT. I use this on all of my Linksys routers as wireless bridges for all the miners running in various rooms and the garage. http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index

Is this GB still active ? Is pricing going to be adjusted relative to Batch 4 ?
Still have an order via this GB trying to get resolved.
Thanks Bitmain !

Have you considered underclocking them ?

Lawyer dude decided to poke the bear. He was doxed for his derailing in a BFL thread. He cried harassment when he was unmasked. You came in on a white horse to his rescue. Ah. I see. I "poked the bear" how exactly? Took the bait, m8

...the S5's require a reboot pretty often due to a firmware issue that makes one hash board drop off every other day..... @ Bitmain: Any news on a firmware fix for this in the near future? Temperatures are key to getting these guys running stable. I had issues with xx's appearing around 64C. Since keeping them cool and <~60C, they've been solid, overclocked to 375, for a few days now. --- Had to reboot this one when I moved it to a circuit to share with an S3. Was running solid 3 days prior. --- This one has been running for 4 days now solid.

i heard that antminer s5 use 22 nm, if i'm not mistaken
The S5 uses an improved 28nm design.

The mass of inscrutable, unprofessional, and irrelevant rubbish on that thread makes BFL's angry customers look bad and separates them from actual information which could be used to improve their situation
Which makes your removal of the dox of such an "upstanding professional" so troubling, considering the rubbish he was adding to the thread, and resulted in said doxing. In the nicest way possible, I'm trying to say "In this instance, I think you went a bit too far. He deserved to be unmasked considering his 'contributions'. Yes, I'm agreeing with you that much of the last 10-15 pages of that thread have been pure cancer, but lawyer dude fucked up, and I think it was totally uncool of you to nuke the genesis post doxing him. The circle jerk went way too far after that, though" EDIT: As an alternative, I might have suggested splitting off the last 10 pages and moved it to meta or offtopic or something...

D. Moderators do not remove Dox.
Except for gmaxwell, who removed the dox in the Butterfly Labs thread, called it "cleaning up 10 pages of derailment", resulting in this meta thread being created, right ?

With BTC dropping down to ~$300 USD, this seems like a good time to buy via fiat. Looking to pick up at least another... PM'd !
why would it be better to buy in fiat and effectively pay premium when you can instant buy BTC on coinbase? I don't understand peoples logic either. I would rather buy with a miner with fiat due to the BTC/USD price being so low, and I'm additionally purchasing coin via Coinbase while everything is so low. *shrugs* Seemed to make more sense buying with fiat than with BTC that I have previously mined.

It is the right of customers to know the managers and key employees of a company that they are considering to order from -- or, worse, that has swindled them. I agree. But this has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Cryptic pages of picture of chickens doesn't aid people in recovering their losses, ten pages about people who have nothing to do with BFL beyond having posted in that particular thread, do nothing to aid people recover their losses-- in fact, it does precisely (and I think, intentionally) the opposite. Thank you for avoiding the questions.
