yea but they could have focused their efforts towards taking over a sovereign entity not some local government in the united states. ooh look were going to abolish parking tickets!

Regime change starts at home.  Besides, while they're working on breaking apart the tyrannical America from the inside-out (an important step if you want your libertarian society to thrive without America tripping itself, knocking over its own buildings, then saying your nation done it so they can bomb the fuck outta ya and spread their disease named "freedom and democracy" to your 'oppressed' people), we can focus on spreading real freedom elsewhere.

OP, I recommend going offline for a bit, having a hot cup of cocoa, chilling out, and forgetting this ever happened.  Trust me: there's nothing to win here.
2303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is the thread where you discuss free market, americans and libertarianism on: April 27, 2013, 08:07:41 PM
so, you sit in front of your computer, spreading libertarian propaganda on the internet, waiting for the ancap revolution to come.

good luck, bro! Smiley

That's the idea.  Educate the masses, so a revolution can happen.  One or two guys planting bombs to "stick it to the man" would get labeled terrorists, and everybody would hate them.  Plus, they wouldn't teach anyone anything.

You ever hear the phrase, "The pen is mightier than the sword"?

Hrmm fight the bankers with their own game.  That's something I've never heard before.

http://freestateproject.org/

I've seen this before; seems to be a good step in the right direction.  "Divided we fall, united we stand."  A whole bunch of libertarians united in one spot will be much more likely to edit law in a favorable way.
2306  Other / Off-topic / Re: So much talk and 0 action, lets actually make a sovereign territory on: April 27, 2013, 07:55:35 PM
Acquiring and defending land and sovereignty on it would be probably be unprofitable I guess, but in case anyone would like to explore the matter, here is a place to start:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323820304578410573747048086.html

But it would be infinitely cheaper and better to imitate the banksters and just buy the legitimate government of any country you fancy to do (and let it do) whatever you like while remaining out of the lights.

This.  There are some very small (very poor) nations where say ten billion dollars could likely buy you enough power (and immigrants = votes) to "reform" the local government into whatever you wanted.

For example Tuval has a population of ~10,000 persons, a GDP of $36 million and yet is recognized as a sovereign nation by just about every existing nation and the UN.

HELL YES now you are talking. Lets do this, lets crowed fund the take over of that government by a bunch of hard core libertarians! If we elected the right people, could we actually elect people that would dismantle the government? Is there one among us who is actually strong enough to carry saurons dark ring to mount doom and actually do it, actually cast it into the fires?

Hrmm fight the bankers with their own game.  That's something I've never heard before.

noo.. again.. you misunderstood. i didnt shit on no tables. i was eating at my table and a couple of regular idiots came and shit on my table. i understand they ate too much dhiarrea, probably, poor things. but the knights should be honorable. and the owner should have kicked them out.

Can you quote the deleted post and insert it here?  It's hard to make judgment without it Tongue
2308  Other / Politics & Society / Re: this forum as a mirror of society on: April 27, 2013, 07:28:55 PM
this claims to be a public place. if it is a private one, they should close it down. anyway, im no asslicker, infact i dont let anybody lick my ass too. raised finger is the answer.
and if knights are knight, they should have some honor.

It's a public forum, but it's privately owned.  Just like you can go to a park and use it, but you can't build a house on it (without permission.)
2309  Other / Politics & Society / Re: this forum as a mirror of society on: April 27, 2013, 07:23:39 PM
apparently in this forum there is somebody who has the right to delete other member's post and refusing to delete abusive and defacing posts. exactly how it happens in society, where if you know somebody you can jump the queue.
fair enough, just dont take them too seriously, here and there.
life is miserable in the abuse of power.

Our beloved admin and his knights are often benevolent, but I too have been victim of random post deletion.

Anyway, the difference is, I can choose to stop using the forum if I don't like how it's run.  I can't tell Obobo to fuck off (actually I can, I just can't expect him to listen.)

Of course I will notify this to the Hero Member Smiley

If you own the account, post something in this thread as the Hero Member.  Otherwise, I can only assume you're attempting to pull a fast one.
2312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do NOT declare that you have ever owned bitcoins on: April 27, 2013, 06:53:34 PM
How can a nation tell who's using crypto currency? Isn't there a level of anonymity that will make it cumbersome trying to pinpoint who to tax?

Right now there is a debate about a law to make internet service give goverment information about what are people watching on internet.

Anyway, nobody wants this law, but it is been debated. Thought it was a democracy, am I wrong?

A democracy is just a front; really, you elect a few jerkoffs to decide how you live your life, and most of them are jerking each other off already.  If CISPA passes into law, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that the government is actively working against its citizens (though many of us already know this to be the case), and I doubt people will put up with it for long.

You know the straw that broke the camel's back?  CISPA might be that straw.

A person of Mexican decent who acts in the way an American or a Canadian etc. would.

In other words, a coconut.

I seriously doubt this petition will do anything to move Google's hand.
2316  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything Is Rigged: The Biggest Price-Fixing Scandal Ever on: April 27, 2013, 06:25:30 PM
My first skim through them gave quite the opposite impression.

It was all comments about how government should go after the bankers.  imo, the bankers are a symptom not the disease.

I don't know why anyone thinks that prosecuting bankers, assuming you can because most have probably followed the "law", will mean that others won't come along afterward to participate in what is fundamentally a govt-banking crony cartel to rig money and interest rates through a forced monopoly.

You are looking to a fundamentally criminal organisation to protect you from criminals that have been enabled by that organisation's fundamental nature.   But I doubt people are ever going to get it at this point.

It's a start.  Once you have a distrust for one government-sanctioned entity, you have a distrust for it all.  Considering we've been through generation upon generation who either doesn't want to know or refuses to know, it's refreshing to see this generation "wake up".

It's just an arm's length away from hitting the truth.  If the government enabled the banks for decades, they're both a problem.  But it takes time to understand, and I'll give them time.
2317  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Taxation...Donation! on: April 27, 2013, 06:23:28 PM
Why, then, are there so many different brands of Automobiles?

Or brands of icecream--and phone companies.  Also, computer manufacturers Tongue  Pizza delivery services...  Video game publishers...  Bicycle makers...

Is there so many really? Stats from 2011 for Europe:
http://www.statista.com/statistics/12782/market-share-of-selected-car-maunfacturers-in-europe/

10 companies control 86.4% of market. And there is some government intervention involved.

There isn't really too many groups in automobile market.

Which system are you rooting for, btw?  If not capitalism.
2318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Taxation...Donation! on: April 27, 2013, 06:04:53 PM
A stateless society does not solve all the world's problems.  It simply solves the problem of the state.  From there, we can stop running around in circles and actually solve problems, instead of throwing band-aids on them.

2320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Taxation...Donation! on: April 27, 2013, 06:01:14 PM
So from one force to an other, but this time private one... I'm not really sure it's preferable situation, as the size of companies isn't limited. The system presented in video seems scary...

Would you rather have competing services for security, who you use and pay for on a voluntary basis, or a single, all-powerful monopoly on the security service industry, which you must pay for involuntarily?  Personally, I wouldn't like it if McDonalds was the only burger joint in the nation, of which I had to pay them every time they set up a new store, or risk jail time; they could then charge 20$ a burger and take their time filling out orders at the drive thru--I mean, where else are you gonna go for fast food?

I think, when it boils down to it, people are always willing to pay for security, so there may as well be competition to provide the best service possible.  As in the case of the monostatism, they can essentially do what they want without fear that another government will out perform them.  They can provide a terrible service and charge out the butt to use it; since they own the military, they can also force you to pay for their service, whether you want it or not.  It's a pretty ugly system that we have now, if you ask me, full of bullying and corruption.
