2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 26, 2022, 01:39:01 PM
Odds for the game tomorrow is already available.

Meralco Bolts +4.5
Road Warriors +3.5

If you think Road Warriors has no chance, better take them early now as it might move by tomorrow in favor of the Ginebra.
For Bolts, if you think they could give a close game or maybe win, then that spread is good for you and the ML as well with 2.23 payout.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 26, 2022, 01:00:29 PM

If Davis will make it in the first week of next month, then he will have a chance to help the team win in the play-in tournament.

Question is, how big he could contribute to the team.

We've seen Draymond Green after a long rest due to injury, in his return he wasn't contributing as his normal contribution, so what I'm saying is that Davis will have to readjust again to get back on his game, and every game may cause the Lakers an L .

Remember that San Antonio Spurs could overtake the Lakers if they won't be consistent, their record are very close now and Spurs are in a winning streak.
2303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this true? on: March 25, 2022, 10:05:44 PM
Altcoins that are released in the bear market have a high chance of bringing good returns than those that have already surged high in a bull market, this is what a friend told me this morning, do you think this is true? He used Vulcan forged as an example
Of course, your friend will tell you that because he is investing in this project. He will also encourage you but the question is if this project really has the potential? Because not all crypto projects that have been created during the bear season have market potentials and even has, this even not enough to assure that when the market turns bullish it will also get bullish too.

I was trying to did about Vulcan Forged project, well, it seems it has good reviews https://isthiscoinascam.com/check/vulcan-forged-pyr. Well, this gaming ecosystem seems growing at this moment that we can expect such positivity but let see how this it changes in the coming days.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: March 25, 2022, 01:53:52 PM
I don't think that Coach Yeng will let Ginebra sweep them....

What can he do? I mean, NLEX could not win even without Japeth Aguilar, so we already know what they can do in the playoffs. they probably need to improve their defense and offense. Overall, import vs import, and Locals vs locals, the advantage is on the Ginebra kings.

Game 3 is going to be the last game of the series if Ginebra will win, so they will not waste that opportunity as they would choose to rest early.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 25, 2022, 01:36:10 PM
We've seen 4 players scored 20+ or more in the Warriors showing that they can still be a deadly team without their core players.
It's their system that gave them the win, when the star players are not playing, there's no star player in the court and anyone could shoot the ball so the ball movement is very efficient leading to more open shots. Or, my theory is the Heat may not play it seriously as they are too overconfident they could beat the short-handed Warriors.
Well, that is why Coach Steve Kerr is one of the best coaches of all time alongside Coach Spo and Coach Pop.
His system is a perfect fit for the whole Warriors team and it will continue to be like that as long as he is the head coach of the team.

I also like the system of Miami Heat but I don't see Butler to be a good leader of the team, for me, he doesn't have a killer instinct like Curry who can lead the team, Butler is just too soft being a star, that's why he was not able to stay in one team only.

Well, at least the Heat have now improved as a team. They have Lowry, if Butler cannot carry the team in his shoulder, there's always one veteran would make the team still competitive at a high level. That's the reason why they signed Lowry, it's because of his playoff experience and he is also a one time champion.
2306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about gaming and metaverse on: March 24, 2022, 10:39:21 PM
Guys I have few questions for you guys about p2e games and metaverse projects
...
2. What do you think about metaverse future? Wil this work out on the long run because no project have shown a full working metaverse project so far.
I don't really have the trust in any market reviews as this somewhat can be manipulated but there is something we need to know more about Metaverse and how it performs
https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/reviews/metaverse-a-new-reality/

Honestly, I wasn't very comfortable with this metaverse as an investment. Not I think that this will end fast but we can't also say this will exist in the market for long. In fact, if we are going to compare this in P2E gaming platform, they have the possibility to survive than this Metaverse where many of these projects are likely scams.

2307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 24, 2022, 01:34:53 PM
Chicago Bulls face off versus the New Orleans Pelicans tonight. I’m a bit surprised to see that the Bulls are favorited to win this game by only 1.5 points. I think DeMar DeRozan might be a little banged up and questionable for the game but even so I still think this is a good bet to take, the Pelicans are terrible. Going to be putting a few bucks on this one.
Line like that are so scary, usually, bettors would go for the Bulls as the spread is very enticing, however, as for me, I would rather sit that one and look for another game where I think it's not a trap. But anyway, good luck on your pick, I could be wrong though.

Thinking of getting the Nuggets at home.

For this game I'll bet Chicago bulls even I loss or I will win for my betting but I have a feelings that Chicago will help me to win  Grin:Smiley
We all know that in this basketball game a player or a team must be have a teamwork and a good plan in order to claim the victory and that's strategy I'll saw it from Chicago bulls so that ill pick them as my champ even the betting is high or low.

I like the Chicago Bulls as well but I understand the impression of @Maslate that it could be a trap. Let's just follow our instinct and hope that we are on the right side, besides, no one could predict the correct outcome perfectly, we only make our analysis here.
2308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secure are my funds Trust wallet? on: March 23, 2022, 10:46:22 PM
Hi bitcointalk, I store my bitcoins in my trust wallet. I feel or used to feel it was the safest wallet to use because of the seed phrase feature it has. I have my private keys on paper somewhere safe. Everything was going well until this morning. I got the breaking news: Trust wallet has been removed from apple store. The trust wallet team are reassuring us on Twitter that our funds are safe but I’m not so sure anymore. If apple can take them down, android play store can do the same. What happens then?

Many of the forum members will suggest using a hardware wallet for high security but the question is it really need for us? Are the funds(amount) are we holding are worth enough because hardware wallet is expensive and we have to consider that.

But I believe using a trust wallet is also safe if we did these things...

In fact, I even use another mobile app for many years but never happens I was hacked, it really depends on how the user used it.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Solana have a future? on: March 21, 2022, 09:27:19 PM

What do you think about this project? Will it have a future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
In my opinion, Solana has a future but not better than Bitcoin or even the others. I really don't give 100% trust to reviews but somehow, many experts say that this project will give benefits to the community which is exactly a helping tool to gain investors. Keeping the position as one of the top 10 coins in the https://coinmarketcap.com/, we're too confident that it really make to compete.

2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 21, 2022, 01:46:48 PM
It true, there a lot of misconception about btc which is not supposed to be if only people can spare a bit of time to be informed .
Then, I guess we don't have to live that forever, this was the time to change it. We help them to realize that what they heard about rumors, fake news, or anything that talks negatively about Bitcoin is wrong.

*Bitcoins is a scam
*Bitcoin is a bubble
*Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme

Assumptions can be wrong and it was definitely wrong seeing Bitcoin by now. Misconceptions, misunderstanding, it will just happen if we keep our mind close to reality, we instead open it and accept the changes.
2311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 21, 2022, 12:43:55 PM
$350k-$450k is actually very realistic, it's just a matter of 'when'.
10 years, 50 years from now, not even sure.

Quote
Definitely not sure if I would listen to that guy though, especially knowing that his thesis is pretty much just "history repeating itself", and that's pretty much it. Seems like your typical social media influencer that's just looking for attention.
It is just to happen now that social media become a medium used by these crypto influencers to encourage noobs to invest in wrong advice. And I don't think that calling himself a "prominent trader" is a ticket that everyone who reads his tweet or anything he talks about crypto will ever be going to believe.
To be honest this person looks more like a shitcoin bag holder who is advertising the garbage he has placed in his bags and wishes them to rise up.
perhaps, he mentions Elrond, DIA, and Zilliqa coins which are not familiar. He is really trying to promote these coins.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 08:35:47 AM

Lebron is only good in numbers but as to impact, he cannot surpass Jordan's impact, or even Kobe.

That's what I'm thinking also because compared to his previous Jordan and Kobe, they are willing to take the last shot but Lebron, man... he loves to pass the ball and let his teammate take the last shot, in short, he is not a clutch guy but consistency wise, he is really good.

Memphis Grizzlies seems like will hold on to the second place in the west. But things are quite hard in the west, winner of 7th and 8th match up in the playoffs still gonna be a hard series.
Even if the will fall, they'll still have a homecourt advantage, and that is good for them as they never had that in the past playoffs IIRC.
2313  Economy / Speculation / Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 20, 2022, 10:29:59 PM
I see one prominent crypto trader analyst Michaël van de Poppe saying this on his Twitter

He is really a bullish person but I'd never think this gonna happens in real life. $350k-$450k is not realistic for me but he stands it comes possibly as he relies on History repeats itself scenario.

Should we have to believe this?
2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 20, 2022, 01:11:11 PM
Speaking of Casimero, seems the training of Quadro Alas is looking good so far and the team said that they are now 80 percent on his preparation against Butler.

Hopefully when the fight comes he will be in 100% so no excuses will be heard from him in case he will fail to defend his title.

He and Donaire are the popular champions in the Philippines for now, if Donaire will lose, it will only be him that will be left, therefore I expect that all the Filipinos will support him in case the anticipated fight between him and Inoue will come into reality.

He will. Just trust him because he knows what is at stake here.

It will be the biggest win for Butler if he beats the champion in front of the thousand fans watching the fight, and he could give honor to his country because this fight will be held in his country. The support of the fans for Butler here will be enormous, but Casimero should not be distracted by that, he needs to focus to retain his title.
2315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned so Far on: March 19, 2022, 09:09:19 PM
I have learned a lot in this forum. And the following are some areas.

2. Syntax, Sematics and morphology: English Language is a second language to me (L2), which means I am a lingua franca. That is I am not using English language fluently, there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.
We don't need to be good totally at the English language but at least we do our best to understand and can even talk like the others. However, we can find a way to improve it.

Quote
3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).

So far, so good.. these are some of the areas I have learned from the group. Mostly the number one.
And besides, not all the reason why we come here is to know how to make a profit, learn about cryptocurrency, we also learn how to correct our mistakes with the help of others. Some members criticize us (just happens to most everyone), we don't need to feel it hard but rather be thankful as they are helping us to improve and by simply listening to their piece of advice, we make ourselves going better.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 19, 2022, 12:59:00 PM
The only thing left is that he will defeat Butler next month so that he can fully rest after acquiring the said viral disease.

No rest is needed for him, with the long gap of time before this match, I think he already rested a lot. I like to see him be busy contacting the camp of Inoue to schedule a fight because people are tired of speculating, they want to see a big fight in this boring weight class.

Yes, I think he already got some good rest for more than a month after he had that viral gastritis and was hospitalized last December. You know as an athlete or professional boxer like Casimero their body has been developed to conquer diseases like that in just a small amount of time, so I guess that should be enough because otherwise he wouldn't be training now for this upcoming fight if his body cannot handle it.

Well I hope that Inoue vs Casimero fight will happen this year sometime in 3rd or 4th quarter of the year and hopefully Bob Arum will agree.

4th quarter is the best target because it's possible that Inoue will fight Donaire first, and if he wins then there are only two champions in the bantamweight division and therefore it's a big chance for either Inoue or Casimero to be an undisputed champion.
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2022, 12:25:38 PM
I don't know how many more much they left but if they still have a chance to get a spot in playoffs, They can finally make it if they will continue to be consistent like this.

One thing for sure, the Lakers will play in the play-in tournament to get into the playoffs. They are over 10 games behind the 7th and there's no way they can catch up on it. However, they are just only 3 wins ahead of the 11th spot, and chances of not getting into the playoffs have a chance if they will not try to make more winnings from now on.

Russell Westbrook's inconsistency should now be lessened. Ignore those massive criticisms about him and stay focused. It's clear that when he performed well, it's a big contribution to the Lakers, especially to Lebron that is putting up good numbers consistently.

Lakers @ 2.06 vs Wizards next game. I'm sure they will have a 2-game winning streak.

I agree that the Lakers would be a great value bet @ over 2 Odds

The Wizards don't have much to play for and are having a horrible losing streak, Lakers should be able to pull this off, I'll tail you on that.

I hope it's not a trap, that odds seemed to be very attractive since LA Lakers come from a big win while the Wizards are still in a losing streak. I would be cautious with this one, I may put a bet but won't max it out, thinking of putting a bet on other game with my max bet and I like the Bucks on the road.
2318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quit expecting a ETH killer on: March 19, 2022, 06:56:10 AM
It's getting annoying to see people talking about a project is the next Ethereum killer, for how long are we going to keep this up? So far there are so many ETH killers that haven't taken a single shot at Ethereum, this has proven that Ethereum isn't a project that any new coin or token can just take over like that, it has never been easy.

They said

Oasis Network is the next ETH killer but before it was EOS, Cardano, Chainlink, Tezos and a few more, get busy gathering these good projects and stop expecting them to be the ETH killer, not killing ETH won't stop them from becoming very useful smart contract project in this space.
We'd rather stop thinking ETH killer, in fact, we've heard these assumptions before but there is nothing happens, ETH still exists and the gas fee is still high. We actually can't eliminate ETH on the market. Ethereum is the king of all altcoins and placing a big role in the market. People who say somedays ETH will die or collapse, honestly it was too far to get happen.

Imagine the number of ERC-20 tokens in the market, they are all relying upon ETH. And this is one reason why despite the high transaction fees, people still accumulating and using this.
Quote
Why is Ethereum so important?
Ethereum enables the deployment of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to be built and run without any downtime, fraud, control, or interference from a third party.
2319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Future Bitcoin Holders! on: March 18, 2022, 09:37:21 PM

This giving the rich a better chance to be richer, and not to the middle class nor poor.
Ain't this a threat to the future ? Cos I believe, 80% of Bitcoiner's are big time holders.

Rich people will actually be getting richer because they are more strategically knowledgeable when it comes to investing and they have the money to fund which they don't need for them to buy and sell but they just hold until the moment they want to sell it.
Do you think OP that because of that 80% of Bitcoiners are holders this will lessen the demand? No, but instead seeing the price of Bitcoin will still be growing.

https://nypost.com/2022/02/05/how-cryptocurrency-made-these-four-ordinary-people-rich/
Well, this is quite believing that there is still a way for the poor and middle class to become rich.
2320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt market today on: March 18, 2022, 09:07:12 PM
BTC is back at 40k and some alts like BnB and ETH are slowly rising again is this another bear trap or bull trap? What are we looking at here? To me it looks like the market keeps going down.
I just realized that every move of the market whether it was going up or down it always a trap if that is the thing we keep in mind. But if just focus on our investment and never got affected by the market news outside (FUDs), it is definitely, not a trap anymore. Yes, of course, the market will be moving up and down as the nature of volatility. However, if we just think that all of these are traps, we are just helping ourselves to get panic.

Seeing that Bitcoin price is moving back to $40k will make this a hint that altcoins are then going to follow. We can't expect the Bullrun yet but at least we have seen the market is recovering which is very important, I think.
