2321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance delisting trading pairs on: September 30, 2019, 03:41:51 PM
Here we go again, binance exchange decided to delist 30 different types of trading pairs on its platform and six of those trading pairs involve tokens launched on Binance Launchpad Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) platform, namely BitTorrent, Elrond, Harmony and WINk.
The trading pairs are mostly TUSD and USDC pairs and Binance claimed that the pairs were being removed to improve liquidity and user trading experience and that the choice of trading pairs was as requested by most project teams.

Why would the project teams want such? what am i missing here? anyone?

Binance is becoming too crowded from all these stablecoin pairs. They should focus on just a few stablecoin pair while make other stablecoin tradeable with the reference stablecoins. I think this move is an start to implement that. If BitTorrent is tradable with 5 other USD fixed stablecoin, it's not necessary to pair it with two more.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] Binance Launches Staking Platform with Support for 8 Cryptocurrencies on: September 30, 2019, 03:06:39 PM
Staking is a good way to earn while you hold. The complexity and large amount required to hold for staking specific coins are keeping people away or not staking their stakable coins. Binance's staking pool would enable many users to get passive income for their holdings.

This is a very attracting offer and as far as I know they are offering very good interest rates. But my question is why would they just give out money for free, especially something insane like 15 percent in BTC for a month.

They are not providing 15% BTC for a month. Their lending platform currently provides 3% a year on BTC holdings. Staking is a different thing from lending.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 27, 2019, 03:19:56 PM
Terrorist may not attack Srilanka but there's rain to attack the match, toss being delayed due to rain. That sucks, after 10 years, Pakistanis were going to take the taste of playing in home, so does visitors but rain has problem with that.
Let's see who win at the end, Srilanka or Pakistan or rain?
Its really interesting we are playing against Sri Lanka after 10 years and its most heavy rain in last 10 years so lets see what happen we already have 2019 as most worst year for cricket just because of rain may be today again rain won and we have only two ODI's for this series.

It's really a nice gesture from the Sri Lankan team to come back to finish that ever pending series. Hope Pakistan and Pakistani players would again be able to host and participate in cricket without any political restrictions.
This game is just postponed and we also have T20s to see some actions. And the weather predictions are good for the next week.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: September 25, 2019, 11:11:47 PM
Anonymity and popularity of Cryptocurrency are two of it's the best attraction.
And Cryptocurrency games are more transparent.
Will, there comes a time that all online gambling sites will be Cryptocurrency based?

We could see a majority of gambling sites accepting crypto. But for gambling site to completely ditch fiat, the world should do it first.
Crypto is still in it's early stage and developing. We don't know it's actual potential yet. Maybe we could have something different from what we call crypto or what we call fiat that could be the defacto money in the future. For current time, crypto gambling are getting more and more popular.
2325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Athletics crypto betting on: September 25, 2019, 11:08:21 PM
2019 World Athletics Championships starts on Friday what made me thinking of the possibility to bet on this sport at one of the crypto betting platforms.

Do you know which site supports the athletics?

How to bet on this sport after all? What strategies are the best? Does it make sense to bet on the events with dozens of participants?

Is it by and large popular on any of the markets?

If I'm not mistaken, most of the platforms don't have IAAF World Championship in its offer. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sportsbet is a popular crypto based gambling sites that offers a wide range of sports for betting.
I'm used to betting on horse racing and believe human racing and athletics are much easier form of betting. If you are confused with two participants, generally you can bet on both of them and yield a profit if any of them win as the odds are generally larger than other sports.

2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Dev not shit coin on: September 15, 2019, 01:48:57 AM
A lot of alarm has been raised on shit coins which have become a concern to many in the crypto sphere, but i feel our attention should be on the shit developer rather talk about the shit coins. The reason why we have shit coins all over is because the number of shit developers has increased to the maximum, i guess it is time to begin to publish the names of shit developers on the forum in order to do some justice to the crypto sphere.

There comes the difficulty. Crypto could be anonymous and most developers prefer not to reveal their identity and most of the scam exchanges uses a fake identity, pictures from the internet and random names. It's actually really easy to identify most scams. If you do that along with ditching the coins with anonymous team and listing the team members and advisers of scams and blacklisting them would prevent us from getting easily scammed.
2328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My simulations for testing Martingale strategy on: September 15, 2019, 01:24:14 AM
Whatever you do, you are going to lose it eventually. So, make a plan with a budget. Don't lose more than you could afford and turn your profit into something visible for you to have satisfaction even if you lose more. And all along have fun and enjoy. The ones who get a taste of it would come back regularly. It's all about fun, if you are being stressed, leave. Remember money is not everything, it comes and goes. It's your health and fitness that's important.
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 on: September 14, 2019, 04:26:10 PM
A well done thread. The Olympic is coming near and the world is ever divided on ideas and acts. Hope this Olympic like most others would build a platform to bring the world together keeping aside our political differences and be a true sports with genuine sportsmanship.
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 10, 2019, 03:29:13 PM
Most of the things you do for money are gambling in one sense or other. Every business you do have risks involved. Generally higher the risks, higher is your potential profit. Things like insurance decreases the risks you take but also decreases your overall profit.
Illegal money is dirty money. Wining on gambling is a fair way to earn your money.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last 3 Months of 2019! What is your prediction about the Market? on: September 10, 2019, 03:26:01 PM
Last three months of the Year 2019 (4th quarter)is fast approaching! Do you think the market condition will be improve in the last three months of the year! are you still positive that the market will be gaining momentum to return its former status as it was before or just missing all the prediction in this year. drop your insight below!

4th quarter is generally not considered to be a good time for crypto. To be specific, the last two months of 4th quarter. It's the time for travelling, festivals and home-going around the world. The prices decreases starting October and keeps on being low till early to mid February. And it seem to recover after the Chinese new year.
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bonuses are only to deceive people on: September 10, 2019, 02:48:30 PM
I just checked an ANN thread. There was a post regarding the last round of the IEO. They were offering 25% discount to IEO participants. I wanted to post on that thread. But instead of posting on that thread, I decided to create a new topic as there are many same IEOs.
Offering bonus on the last round of an ICO/IEO is really funny.
The bonus is valuable only if there are some other participants that sell the tokens at higher prices. I cannot understand bonus on the last round of an IEO. Even if they give 1000% bonus to investors, it doesn't differ. The bonus on the last round must be zero. These kind of IEOs try to deceive participants. It might be true even if we call them scammers.
If a token price is 100 satoshis and they give all participants 25% discount. Investors shouldn't be happy that they have bought the tokens at 75 satoshis. Because the price is 75 satoshis not 100 satoshis.
We can say the price is 100 satoshis if there will be a next round and some people buy the tokens at 100 satoshis.

There are bonuses given in the early stage of ICO so most of the interested people do buy them in the pre-ICO period and the new investors are nearly zero when the prices of token are maximum. In order to not to make the last stage of ICO useless and to attain the desired cap, projects do go with the bonus scheme even in the last stage. It doesn't really make a difference to the economics as the real price of token is the one with the highest bonuses.
2333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 10, 2019, 01:01:14 PM
As we know that Gambling is prohibited in certain religions including Islam. If anyone does it, the earned money is not legal and is considered Sin.

But what if someone is promoting a gambling site on social media etc, will the money earned from it be legal provided he will never directly gamble ?

I'm no specialist about the Islam religion but Islam can be easily manipulated to mean a different thing according to the people who lead it.
The ancient text of Islam has greatly described about the alcohol but many believe alcohol is haram by Islam.
Some hardcore Islamist believe music to be a haram.
In real Islam, anything you do with good intent is always a halal. Don't let any other impose over your thoughts.
2334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 09, 2019, 03:52:21 PM
There were not many big names coming in the EPL and Liverpool is the winner of last season. So, they definitely has larger chances of wining league.
All of the matches of Manchester City were with easy teams and they drew with spurs. They are not a real competition unless they have some good January transfers.
2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 09, 2019, 02:58:14 PM
I have in past used crypto for different purposes. I accepted and sent payments in crypto.
I bought domains and hosting with crypto. I topuped my mobile with crypto. But after missing the last bull run, I've largely restricted my crypto for holding and buying another crypto. I haven't cashed them out for quite a time now.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much money do you currently have, you can buy cryptocurrency at the bottom. on: September 09, 2019, 02:54:46 PM
From the bull market in 2017 to the present, the price of mainstream cryptocurrency has fallen sharply. How much money do you currently have, you can buy cryptocurrencies in the future market. If the bear market will last for a few years. What do you choose to do?

I'm converting 25% of my monthly savings to crypto. And I'm holding all of my bounty rewards. Sooner or later, we'll going to have another bull run and I don't want to miss that this time. You just need to buy some real coins and wait. But I'd still not recommend anyone to go all in in crypto as you might get frustrated waiting.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrencies Will Survive the Next Decade? on: September 08, 2019, 04:09:19 PM
Personally I think only half of the top 20 coins now will survive ! And bitcoin will remain to be the king till eternity ! A lot of them will dissapear and be forgotten ! Everyone is majorly focusing on bitcoin and so will it be !

I'd go with only 10 among the current top 100s.
This was the top 15 list in may 26, 2013

How many of these do you all recognize? The market has became much more dynamic now. And in 10 years, there would be much more advance blockchain that would have no issues currently being faced by the crypto at this time. Though they may have trouble in their own, they'll again be replaced by more modern forms.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis - US Open thread - Predictions on: September 08, 2019, 03:58:34 PM
This is the first grand slam in ages where Djokovic & Federer aren’t going to figure in the latter stages. It makes it exciting & fresh, hopefully Nadal doesn’t win then we will have something new Smiley

Yes, we need some breath of fresh air to see a new champion in their years US Open. The women side has done it, with Bianca Andreescu winning over Serena Williams. So its time for Medvedev to really show his class against Nadal and inject his name in the discussion as the one who will going to replace those ageing tennis greats.

It is no longer any surprise that Serena lost.
She has lost the last 4 big finals in the grand slams and obviously she can no longer psychologically withstand the great pressure that goes with such matches.
Nadal is different and also have more experience than Medvedev.
Medvedev will be under a lot of pressure, like never before in his life.
Not sure if he will be able to overcome it and play good well.

I'd like to differ. Nadal would be an easy opponent for Medvedev. The whole tournament has been in his favor as he didn't needed to face with the players that could really give him a challenge. It's really surprising to see Medvedev getting such a large odds. I'd blindly bet on Medvedev this time.
2339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in XRP? on: September 08, 2019, 02:49:11 PM
I just found an article and here it is,

https://www.forbes.com/sites/panosmourdoukoutas/2018/03/07/ripple-could-be-the-next-bitcoin/#4dc2e64c5b39

Can anyone confirm it is helpful or is it wise to trade with XRP?

This is a forbes contributor article. i.e. the writer pays forbes to get audience for his voice and the matter expressed in such article are entirely personal of the contributor. Such contributors takes money from businesses to talk about them. Thus, it's a paid promotion.
Now the question comes why is Ripple paying for it's promotion at this moment? There are many red flags going on about Ripple team, https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-transfers-500-million-xrp-from-its-escrow-wallet
And this could be the last attempts to move the price so that they'd be able to dump in a good price.
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion on: September 07, 2019, 03:52:11 PM
There are a lot of topic about martingale now, and I'm sure many of us employ their own version of Martingale,
This is my own version of Martingale it's actually time-consuming, but I'm not going to make a living in gambling I just want to be entertained and have some fun and I want to extend my enjoyment.

My strategy is I started off with 10 sats I just add or double my bet the next time if I lose so if I lose 5 straight and win on my 6th I started my bet again on the bottom.

My reason is I want to extend my funds so every time I regain my losses I just started my bet to the minimum again
I've done it over and over again and I can extend my funds for 3 to 4 hours sometimes I made money but I never make a withdrawal
I just call it a day and come back tomorrow with additional funds and a possible extension of time having fun.

This is indeed the classic martingale. Your starting amount is actually depended on the amount of coins you have.
For a classic martingale to run, people generally have coins to manage 10 to 20 losses. But as people keep on wining for hours, they feel the starting bet is low and increases it bringing the number of loses you could cover down leading to bust of the strategy.
