2321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who sold below $550? The $400 bottom is in LOL!!!! on: May 01, 2014, 03:35:29 PM
The '400$ bottom' myth is about to get busted.  Grin

.. Not really..  IMO a dip below $400 for less than 8 hours proves $400 is the current bottom...

It doesn't prove it, I hope it is but we can't say we are not done with testing the lows until the price has been higher than 600$ for months
2322  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Ponzi - 100% profit on every ponzi! on: May 01, 2014, 03:30:08 PM
I don't think you will have a single player : it is complicated, unrealistic, you have no trust and we need to download a file

I don't see OP coming back to check this thread.
So are you suggesting this is just a scam?

OP is a Sr Member that posts often, he can be trusted for 0.01 with a low risk, especially since you are essentially trusting him not to make you lose your time not money

I just watched The Perks of Being a Wall Flower.
Its was pretty nice. Now looking to watch 12 Monkeys

This one was surprisingly very good

"Memento" was very good, "some likes it hot" is an excellent old movie

Memento is super good.  You definitely have to be in the mood to think though, or you will get lost so fast...

Right, I've liked The Prestige and Rounders as well

The Prestige was good...Christian Bale hardly ever (if ever) does a bad movie.   Rounders was good too.   Supposedly #2 is in the works with the entire cast except perhaps John Malkovich coming back.

Edward Norton used not to make any bad movies as well

He went on a great run in the late 90's early 00's.
Fight Club and Rounders will always be classics.

Don't forget about American History X. He was super good in that too

Haven't seen this movie  , gonna download it for the weekend .

Right and he was my favorite actor, American History X was excellent; even Primal Fear was excellent it was his first movie or one of his first movies
2325  Economy / Gambling / Re: 999Dice.com - Just Launched - 0.1% house edge, faucet & earn BTC on: May 01, 2014, 03:18:17 PM
What strategy is this, if I may ask?

It is a ponzi that pays out extremely low.  I would probably stay away from this one.

He is talking about a gambling strategy which means he is betting with a certain pattern and think it will influence his luck when it doesn't; the more you play the more you lose because the casino has an edge on the player; you can win in the short term and the most important is to enjoy playing and not losing more than what you would pay for an evening of entertainment amha
2326  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: May 01, 2014, 12:54:47 PM
It's a very good thing for people to have all the information on the campaigns.  They can decide what is best for them and makes the whole process for everyone.  It could also attract others to join in and that is always a good thing.

Agree, it's really good to have a centralized place for comparison and contrasting.  I used to use bitmixer.io but realized that it wasn't at all offering a competitive rate.  In the end I had to switch to RGC for the seriously better rates---it really can't be beat.

There is no doubt this thread is helping put things into perspective.  I have also taken the time to compare a few offers and I'm happy with the top two I've found.  I can promote both sites and shave off wait times for payment which is a plus. It's all about finding the system that works for each individual.

What 2 campaigns are you talking about? You are advertising PD
He is using Ritz and PD every month enjoying with both

Oh ok he is getting 2 payments every month instead of one and he is not risking the whole month on one campaign but he may loses a few days when he changes campaigns

12.46BTC is the total sent? Very impressive

If RGC edge is 3% they would gave a short term positive expectation if 415BTC were bet on RGC because of the sig campaign; there is some long term value to getting new customers and having a positive image

You could actually talk to Satoshi; is he still active in the community but doesn't want to say he is satoshi not to influence it too much, did he disappear? Or was he a group of persons? I bet for the first choice.
As with any member you have the choice of being shown "Offline" i'm sure he is lurking on the forums and reading....Maybe he has another username now?

It would make more sense to have a new username, the admins or at least some of them would see if he logs in and lurk
I don't think the Admin theymos would say if he is or not online.   In fact  I think He must know him personally or at least know of who he is. If not him then sirius does....sites don't change hands without knowing "Details"

Usually not but this may be an exception; Theymos may have meet Satoshi or talk to him without knowing his identity

We will know when he will write his memories in 60years or when the sh.it will hit the fan and stories will pop up

We'll have one crazy hour next week  Wink

Can you link to the info? When will it be next week?

Wow pretty impressive, there are other faucet stories here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=323500.0 It is from 2013

Can't wait to try the 10k faucets, how long does that last? An hour?

Yeah that's the idea, around an hour. As you can imagine, it might be worth trying quite a few 10x or so bets initially as you wouldn't want to waste time on more likely rolls while the happy hour is active.

I had been trying that (namely x9) for almost 30 minutes. Made 15 rolls in a row but didn't have a chance... Cheesy

15 in 30minutes? You could have rolled 30 times in 30minutes Grin
If you start at the beginning of the happy hours you can roll 60times but it is very lucky to be here when it starts Wink

It is impossible since you have to enter captcha which takes some time and make clicks at that. Even the rolls themselves are not instantaneous... Roll Eyes

Right I guess you can make 45/60min but not much more

I just went from 1000 to 28500 to...0 If I started with 10,000 I would have go to 285,000 Wink
2331  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Future of earning with my 1.6TH Cointerra on: May 01, 2014, 12:18:41 PM
so the theory goes...

1Th/s brings in say $1000 a month. In two weeks it will only make..  $800... in one month it will only take $640.... in two months .. $409...

wow...  this whole game has a six month shelf life. But of course if the value of the each coin/part coin mined increases then it will balance out slightly...  i doubt will will see an increase of 20% every two weeks.  But we should see something coming back in

If he buys it at 8BTC and he makes 6BTC and sells it back at 3 BTC he won one BTC, you have to compared a BTC amount to the number of BTC he is spending to buy it
2332  Economy / Gambling / Re: EveryDice.com | 0.99% Edge - Instant Cashout - Invest - Referral - Mobile - Fair on: May 01, 2014, 12:17:11 PM
I think there will be no player like 1DiCe1 soon, lost all off his money, 20k$

1000th post for the give away guy

I can't believe the site already won 58BTC! 1DiCe1 may come back, he will win 0.01/day for 5more days which may induce him to play more

He lost everything he had...everything

He will get more money and may come back; it must be quite hard right now for him

since we're already at ~470k bets, it would be nice to see a little giveaway for the one millionth bet I think. (no 0 bets of course)  Smiley

what do you think ED?

Very good idea, i'm ok with 999990-999999 for 0.0005 per bet, so if one plqyer gets all 10 bets i will payout him 10x 0.0005

you have my word on that, claims here on forum

Nice give away.

ED could give a huge reward for the millionth bet and advertise it, it will bring a lot of players, some of them will keep playing after the promotion

Congratulations, Vod.

I didn't notice when I passed 1000 activity but it must have been a couple of months ago. Funny thing is, I'm not a prolific poster, I just happen to average about one post a day on a consistent basis.

Maybe there should be a new category like "Active Hero Member."

There should be an other category for 960 activity and higher

2338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cold Storage Question before I jump in! on: May 01, 2014, 09:18:33 AM
Why not use a paper wallet?

https://www.bitaddress.org is supposed to be safe

I agree, for cold storage learn to use paper wallets, make multiple copies and hide at different locations.

You can make paper wallets with blockchain has well or with electrum

I like the idea of having my bitcoins on 2 or 3 different addresses, it is easier if you want to spend/sell some
2339  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 within 3 years? on: May 01, 2014, 09:16:14 AM
It has a good chance of hitting that much, hopefully if adoption rates increase.

I would say the probability of the price hitting 10k$ within 3years is 75%

Of course if it goes that high I will be happy (and will sell!).  However I'd be happy if it stablized around 1000USD and simply became easier to use in everyday situations.  Recently I bought something from a website and apparantly my credit card payment went through paypal, I thought: how stupid, why can't I pay with bitcoin?

I hope the future finds me soon!

Bitcoin is a great technology that can be useful for a variety of reasons, the protocol has shown its strength
