I had a dream last night that nakowa called me on the phone (I don't have a phone) and asked if I could meet him in Paris to show him how to pin his Internet Explorer toolbar to the edge of the screen on his tablet.
WTF?

Based on his comments, he thinks you owe him since he was the biggest advertisement of JD. Maybe he was just coming to collect.

1. Do you just gamble online or also in 'real' casinos?
2. What is most rewarding in winning: getting more money or beating the system or revenge?

[–]nakowa-allover
I'm not a gambler as you might think. (BTW: What happened to me and what I did seem to be extraordinary to others, and it's the very reason that I can hardly explain anything clearly and convincingly to others.)
Both. But there's no revenge at all. I always say I respect dooglus and his work.

[–]M_R_KLYE
You technically are a gambler.. You have rolled the dice.. In saying that though I see no wrong with it. I roll the dice too!

[–]nakowa-allover
YES, technically. And now mentally too, it's truly addictive. I have to find a way to get over it.

[–]M_R_KLYE
I think it is the same as any addiction.. One must step away and not do it.
BTW good show with those 100BTC bets.. you are crazy!

[–]earthmoonsun
But, are you not about to destroy his work? What do you think need to be changed on JD to keep it profitable?

[–]nakowa-allover
Why do you think I'm destroying his work?
Can't you realize that I'm in effect the biggest advertisement of JD?
1% house edge should be raised, it's truly dangerous (which I once tried to persuade dooglus).
Max Profit might well lower a little bit?

http://www.reddit.com/r/AMA/comments/1my8fc/im_the_whale_on_justdice_id_love_to_answer/

It is very incoherent to state that he has a method and he is not a gambler thus he is ev>0 and he will not destroyed JD

He is a gambler and he won a lot; max bet is 255BTC it might entice him to play again on JD

BTW is JD affiliated with SwC?
1442  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: June 17, 2014, 01:11:30 PM
My worst decision was to buy on the top in January 2014.

Even though the numbers are bigger the percentage drop wasn't that much.  When I got in Bitcoin was about $17 and 6 months later (Jan 2012) it was $2, so $900->$600 isn't too bad.  It will recover.

in April 2013 it went down more as well, I think there is a lot of support @ various level of price, a lot of new buyers and new money, a lot of positive news and we are sadly close to a financial meltdown in the US and Europe
1443  Economy / Gambling / Re: EveryDice.com | 0.99% Edge - Instant Cashout - Invest - Referral - Mobile - Fair on: June 17, 2014, 01:07:45 PM
So OP is saying "I don't have your coins because I gave the cold wallet to one of the site's investors".

If it's true, what the fuck?  Why would you give the site's cold wallet to anyone?  The whole point of a cold wallet is that it keeps the coins safe.  Don't give it to anyone, especially not an anonymous stranger you met on a forum!

And if it's false, what?  OP still has the coins, is lying about it, and wants to keep them for himself?

So which is it?  You gave the invested coins to a stranger, or you stole them?  Neither one is acceptable.  Did I miss a third possibility?

The big investor could be someone he knew, you don't really know who owned ED
1444  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-22] - Wanted : Bitcoin ATM in Paris on: June 17, 2014, 01:01:10 PM
A 10% fee is extremely high. May be the EU tax rates kicked in, on top of the French taxes. Bulk buyers might better travel to some other country (such as Switzerland) to buy their coins.  Grin

The commission includes a 20% VAT, so 10% is in fact 8% net.

A physical desk service is not to be compared to an online market place, the service is not the same. It is more like Local Bitcoin, where fees are usually 10%, but in a secure facility and without the hassle of having to organize meetings with strangers.

If you buy 500euros then you buy 500euros again, the second time your fee will be 9%

You have a service : coming with cash and getting bitcoins easily and you have to compare it with the fees you pay when you use an exchange and the hassle to be verified : on bitstamp you will pay a fee of 0.5% rounded up to the nearest second decimal in bitcoins so if you buy 0.3BTC you will pay 0.01BTC fee which is 3.3% and you will lose some money during the exchange from Euro to Dollar

You will obviously save a lot of money using an exchange compared to buying at a desk service or ATM

I like the idea; why not a 5-6 different give aways :
-First user to win 1% bet
-First 10 real money bets of 0.1 or more after the birthday timestamp get 0.2BTC bonus
ect.

We've tried these kinds of "milestone" things before, and they never work out too well.  You get a quick bust of activity, causing lots of lag, and then it's back to normal.

Also you have to be careful designing them.  If you say "first bet to win at 10%" it'll be someone betting 0 BTC.  If you say "get your stake refunded", everyone bets at 98.99%.  Etc.  People are very smart at working out how best to benefit from incentives.[/quote]

You would think you get enough new members to know about the site and enough players to play more after to make it beneficial if you do it once in a while, all big businesses have special events and mass marketing once in a while, look at coc-acola they are good at that

I think JD isn't well known among the new members
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: June 17, 2014, 12:44:33 PM
I was looking back on Sunday 29 September 2013 (when 1.5 million BTC were gambled in one day). I saw the following three comments made.

I heard in chat that Nakowa once claimed his bankroll was six figures.
100,000 bitcoin.
That's still "only" twice as much as j-d's current bankroll. I'll leave it up to better mathematicians to calculate exactly how low the chance is that he'll break the bank before he is bankrupt.
He trying to break the bank.

Let's assume "break the bank" is hyperbole. Did anyone calculate what the possibility is that a player who is risking 1% of amount wagered to date 53,027BTC has of winning the total profit 18,695BTC before going bankrupt?

Max bet is now 0.5%

Nakowa didn't have 100,000BTC
1447  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - NEW LIVE DEALER CASINO | bitcoin sportsbook on: June 17, 2014, 12:42:01 PM
to reward 100BTC if only for one person or for the?

It is shared but I don't find how it will be distributed or if it is really 100BTC
1448  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 17, 2014, 12:40:08 PM
Hold only if you can take the pain when it goes sub 300or 200$. It might get back to 600$ , but that could take another year or two. The bubbles before have been artificially created by non-existent MtGox USD.
There is no garantuee at all that we will see another ATH bubble. I have to say that we might get a bubble from 70$ to 500$ , if it should drop that far.  Smiley

Is that 3 times now we have got back to 600 in a week?

Yes but I am looking for when we will finally cross 700$ again; almost all of us will be looking up again
1449  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone has a casino site for sale? on: June 16, 2014, 06:38:55 PM

The add says :
Legal casino with no income tax Grin They seem to have many games, do you know a casino in action that has this soft?
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - NEW- instant deposits | bitcoin sportsbook and live dealer casino on: June 16, 2014, 03:25:41 PM
Let's bet on the Soccer World Cup

When a bet has been made, can I cancel it?

Hi boumalo,

Once a bet has been confirmed it can't be cancelled.

Cheers,
Cloudbet

I was looking again for the answer, thank you, it makes sense that you can't
1451  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is This possible.. Ads to each btc address on: June 16, 2014, 03:19:22 PM
Yup, a lot of businesses used to do the Satoshi Ad thing. It was pretty unprofitable, though, people tended to ignore them. You could search it up, "Just received a random Satoshi" or "blockchain ads".

I don't know if it is that unprofitable, businesses still do it

You can reach 100,000,000addresses with 1BTC

simple.
advantage when you are looking for a new start, and after you have enough sense to not push further,
stop and withdraw all funds and the advantages that you have to

Why not make one big bet then? You have better odds

1456  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get money? on: June 16, 2014, 01:35:46 PM
depend if your need make money with stable every day maybe you can try adsense and mining for cryptocurency
but if you need money fast with high risky maybe u can try HYIP or gamble
Gambling is actually THE WORST way to make money quick. I nearly guarentee you'll lose a lot of it.

Few people make money off gambling. Don't do it.

You could always take out a loan from someone if you really need the money.

To make money without relying on luck, you need to develop valuable skills

If you don't have any, start working or studying to get some

Mirror, mirror, on the wall... Who has $1.6M USD via BTC?
You did, Sire, till davout stole them from you via his InstaWallet "hack", and what are you planning on doing with that hamm...
I wonder why some people just keep sitting on their hands after s.o. conned 'em out of $1.6M? I'd buff his head with an iron rod.

No you won't because losing 1.6m and being frustrated doesn't justify to kill an other human being, to go to jail and suffer way more
1459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hypothetical battle comparison (Donald Trump vs whale) (dooglus vs whale) on: June 16, 2014, 01:29:06 PM
Both players should call it a day. The more time you spend on the game the less likely you gonna win  Wink

The question was wether it was a good business practice for the casinos owners to propose the bets

When in doubt, revert to Nakowa style.

I had a dream last night that nakowa called me on the phone (I don't have a phone) and asked if I could meet him in Paris to show him how to pin his Internet Explorer toolbar to the edge of the screen on his tablet.

WTF?

lol Internet Explorer toolbar... It was really a nightmare Wink

You should have bought a phone just so nokowa could reach you 24/7 Grin
