1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Amazon for Bitcoin Payments on: June 18, 2014, 09:40:21 PM
Amazon knows about Bitcoin and probably considered it; let's hope they implement it soon it would be huge

Buying with bitcoins don't allow you to chargeback, I don't use it but it is thought as convenient by some
1342  Other / Off-topic / Re: The statement Game! on: June 18, 2014, 09:38:40 PM

1343  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Argentina, the next Cyprus ? on: June 18, 2014, 09:36:13 PM
Europe will buy bitcoins aggressively when a few big banks will fail and they will print money to reimburse depositor or perform an haircut on savings
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble incoming! $3800 - $4000 expected on: June 18, 2014, 09:34:42 PM
9pages of posts in 3days! We are all thinking about that price of a few thousands and it feels like we are getting closer, maybe it's due for 2014 Q4
1345  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - NEW LIVE DEALER CASINO | bitcoin sportsbook on: June 18, 2014, 09:32:49 PM
OK thank you

"The grand prize will consist of 100 bitcoin, payable within thirty (30) days of the completion of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The prize will be paid into the winner’s Cloudbet account. In the event that more than one entrant submits a perfect bracket, the prize will be split equally among those entrants."

It would be nice to know who is still in after each stage

Hi boumalo,

We'll be updating you at various stages. Right now, any team can still finish first or second in every group (only Brazil and Mexico have played twice and each have 4 points), so all entrants are still in. Everybody is still in with a chance at the 100 BTC!

As soon as a team is unable to finish first or second, we'll update everyone with what percentage of entrants remain. If Cameroon or Croatia lose tonight, they will be eliminated, and if both Australia and Spain lose they too will be eliminated.

It should be a little bit of fun!

Cheers,
Cloudbet

Yes make us believe we can win the 100BTC Grin I want to see you sweat Wink

Maybe we will be able to sell some action if we are still in the competition and close to the end to insure a few BTC

1347  Economy / Speculation / Re: What big company will be the last to accept Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2014, 09:28:09 PM
Who will be the last to accept paypal?

They are talknig about accepting it

Maybe an old business not consumer friendly or a barber shop Grin
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Financial Crisis scenarios on: June 18, 2014, 09:25:47 PM
Hard to say which way bitcoin will go.

Remember, during the last crisis, even gold and oil went down quite a bit.

Gold has been going up during the years leading to the house crisis, what was a bit surprising to some was to see the USD going up as well
1349  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Browser You Use on: June 18, 2014, 09:24:05 PM
I've been using Mozilla Firefox for ages now, but to be honest, it seems more memory/resource-heavy than it used to be. Or maybe I am visiting more resource-heavy web pages.... anyway, probably about time I should try out Chrome, from the sound of it.

Chrome is the most resource-sensitive browser. It runs separate processes for each tab. I have been running Firefox and Chrome both on my PC and monitoring memory usage. Chrome tops all other browsers, so you're better off with Firefox.

1350  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 18, 2014, 09:23:20 PM
I think the new system will make things more difficult for Stunna. I can see, in the next month, he'll find at least 100 hilariousandco asking for payment at 100 different addresses. Stunna has to match all these double entries with actual user's profile address and invariably some people will miss this part, just to create more confusion.

But yes, change is always welcome. Smiley

Nope. There wont be anywhere to submit ur address where u want to be paid. So when u submit only ur user profile when u want to be paid there is no room for exploit, other people wont be able to get anything. If u know what i mean.

Also i would suggest that we enroll and claim forever. Like why we need to request payment each month ? Why not just this first and then on every 17th he just sends , and take post count on that day , and then next month sends for new one.
I dont see the need to request each month. It will be much easier for us and for him. i guess.

The only advantage of making us request payment each month is that we deduct our non-constructive posts each month
1351  Other / Politics & Society / Re: For Sale: 29 Thousand "Washed" Bitcoins on: June 18, 2014, 09:19:14 PM
I don't understand this attitude they are "washed", "verified", etc. My bitcoins are accepted anywhere bitcoins are accepted. Aren't they worth just the same? Smiley

They are, OP was just being sarcastic

I hope we will know the price they are bought to, any chance it will be public?
1352  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest wallet on: June 18, 2014, 09:15:49 PM
Run multibit on computer without WiFi and dont connect it to internet ever. Send your BTC from computer with internet to your offline computer. 100% safety

It is one way to do it but you can have a paper wallet and send money to it
1353  Economy / Economics / Re: The kids will laugh about this... How international payments work on: June 18, 2014, 09:14:07 PM
Hello,
The chain between banks and institutions is huge so these are surely the biggest enemies of us in the future. They will try to stop BTC with every method! But good times will come after that , because BTC will survive everything!
Soon the new generations will see paper money only in the museums when people realise how much better is to use BTC.

Gondel

What about using a currency backed by Gold and made by a sound bank?
1354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Chargebacks on: June 18, 2014, 09:12:55 PM
Where are you loacted?

VirWoX is a very expensive way to convert BTC to local currency, and PayPal isn't a very good way to receive the local currency.

If you are not in the U.S. then you should look into BitPay.

If you are in the U.S., then you should look into BitPay, Coinbase, or BitSimple.

BitSimple will convert your BTC to PayPal for you.  Coinbase and BitSimple will transfer your local currency directly into your bank account.

It's not clear when you say, "THEN they do a Chrageback", who is the "they" that you are talking about?

Are you asking what happens if VirWoX does a chargeback? Or are you asking what happens if the person that gives you the BTC does a chargeback?

There are no "chargebacks" in BTC.  Therefore, the person that gives you BTC CAN'T do a chargeback.  There's no such thing.  That's a bit like asking, "I am just wandering if anybody was to walk into my store and hand me U.S. dollars to pay then put a Chargeback through with there Card Issuer and/or Paypal do I lose out?"

You said :"Actually I use VirWoX as I can cash out to Paypal

My fear is somebody pays me in BTC, I send the physical goods (not BTC) then they do a chargeback and I get fucked.

But if the sites have 3D secure I should be Safe(er)?

Thanks"
=>They won't do a charge back on Paypal since they didn't send any money to you Paypal account you did from your VirWox

The customers could ask for their BTC back or make claims to get it back but they cannot charge back; I don't know if the customers send the BTC to VirWox or to your own wallet, I would suggest to ask being paid directly to your wallet as DannyHamilton suggested

Also, take a look at this stats page:

hmblm1245   876d only posted 463posts in 3years, he probably has some kind of program that refresh the forum looking for something

BTW I am surprised to see on the statistics page that "Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com" is the second post with the most responses
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: Working in USA on: June 18, 2014, 09:03:27 PM
The recent decrease in unemployment rate is masking people leaving the work force and not applying for jobs anymore and new jobs being low skilled low paid part time jobs
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Early Adopters on: June 18, 2014, 09:01:46 PM
I'm looking at the charts, and it seems like we are still early adopters.

SInce about ~10 million people (Maybe) use it, less than 1% of the American population, we can still hold it and expect for a large price change in coming years.

In fact, one of the most influential think tanks said the UK should privatize their dollar and switch to cryptos, so you never know what the future may hold!

However, there will be a collapse where alts will disappear due to investors giving up on them, and even just general use disappearing, due to the fact that most are simply copies of other well-established coins.

The ones I can see surviving are BTC, LTC, DRK, and a few others, but I'm still watching those coins to be sure. But it will be coins with real innovations that will survive, not crapcoins being made everywhere.

If Bitcoin doesn't crash, we are very early in the game since the market cap for Bitcoin is only 8 Billions, great innovations and businesses are going to be launched soon thanks to all the smart geniuses that are working building them at the moment
1358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost Half of Private Key - Are Bitcoins Safe? on: June 18, 2014, 08:49:27 PM
You are ruling multisignature addresses but it could be your solution

You can also protect your back-up by storing it more securely, maybe not at home
1359  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: June 18, 2014, 08:40:09 PM
Looks like Spain won't even get one!

Crazy how bad they got destroyed this World Cup

Incredible...

How about Brazil? I have the feelings they can come back and win it all

It was an entertaining random story  Grin

She can suffer a 15% loss in price and she will still be even so she should be OK; you forced her hand quite a bit and you could have give her a paper wallet instead but she owns 1BTC and it costed her 300£ so she is in
