1401  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: June 18, 2014, 08:54:16 AM
So many biased people, mostly PD sig posters upping their count.

I am not. Cheesy

How can PD have the best Bitcoin casino, they only have one friggin' game?!!   Grin
Best dice game perhaps, but to be a casino you need multiple game types(slots, table games, dice, etc).

It is true that PD has just a simple dice game, but it is working very well (nice graphics, active chat, helpful support persons, great giveaway and happy hours, etc.)
Not sure about the others, but I personally prefer simple dice game over slots and poker...

I think dice games lend themselves more than anything to the idea of quick online gambling. I don't find slots and video poker very fun, personally, but to each their own.

Dice games are pure gambling but it is fast, convenient and fun for those who want to put their faith in lady luck Wink

Playing other can be fun for other

1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 17, 2014, 06:35:42 PM
Gold used to be way cheaper before the middle of 2000's, Gold&Bitcoin are likely to both appreciate in real terms as the USD and western financial system collapse

Sure but my gold isn't going to make me rich it's a safety net (or insurance), and my Bitcoin have a long way to before they start crashing relative to gold. And give gold that is traded as a paper assets is a long con and real gold is not transportable over fiber optics I'd concluded it's potential store of wealth is over.

Money is memory and clay tables and paper are out and verified P2P distributed digital memory is in.

If you have 100,000 in 2014 USD it may become 200,000 in 2014 USD in 5years where the fiat may become 70,000 in 2014 USD so the difference is huge

Gold has been a store of value for thousands of years, I don't think you understand the value of that; the fact that you and maybe 50% of the world population think it shouldn't be a store of wealth anymore is irrelevant; 90% of the world population think facebook shouldn't be valued 1Billion but it is valued 100Billions; in addition, Gold has physical properties that grant it a value for the years to come
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15-Year-Old Makes $100,000 on Bitcoin on: June 17, 2014, 06:23:31 PM
Nothing wrong with taking profits, but to exit the Bitcoin market entirely seems a bit hasty.

Kid has got a head start on life, but $100k isn't very much especially after taxes.

Long Terms Caps Gain Tax is something like 15%. Even if the tax guys take a cut of $15,000, he will be left with the remaining $85,000. More than enough to start a new venture, IMO.

He can retire @ 45 if he invested it wisely now Wink

His new business is https://botangle.com/how-it-works : Joined members 1304 Botangle with a B like Bitcoin; it will sell for millions once it picked up Wink

Don't trust in Bitcoin when it was about 5 - 10 bucks each and invest in BBQ coins right before those dropped almost to nothing  Cry

But we learn by mistakes, only low-IQ people make a mistake twice, now i'm prepared for anything  Cool

Ouch on this one...what made you think that BBQ had a lot of upside potential?   I never really researched at all about this coin...

It (was) tasty, allegedly.

HAHA, altcoins are funny but let's face it most people who bought some lost bitcoins

I wish someone calculated your expected ROI in Bitcoin if you bought the 10biggest altcoins every Month for the last year or the 10 coins that are increasing the most in popularity
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: June 17, 2014, 06:16:32 PM
i'm a little worried that max bet is approaching 300 territory where Nak was fully employed.

I hope he comes back.

You don't hope that he will come back because you are afraid of variance? You must hope the max bet would be less than 0.5% of the bankroll then?

I think 0.5% is good as it is not too conservative but gives better expected winnings to those invested than a lower max bet

What is this 77.77 thing?
Do we get some extra price if we roll 77.77?

It will be on PD3 , JACK POT when u hit (i hope not 77.77) u will win 10x ur bet.

Okay, nice.
Where did you get this info?
I mean is there like list of news features at pd3 somewhere?

Its somewhere on this thread.
I started reading whole thread from the start, so i learn about pd1-pd2 all from start. Its fun reading all that Stunna and pd players went through Cheesy

Okay, good for you, I don't have time to read 275 pages...
Was there any more new features?

Player vs player
Achievements
Jackpot

Ignore option in chat)
Better chat overall  with top and pm options i think
Better autobet
And so on ... Maybe some surprises Smiley .

Wow nice!

Hopefully there will also be a nice&fat launch promotion, what was the promotion for PD2?

Well Stunna did mention " Best giveaways bitcoin community ever seen" Not sure what that means , or if i quoted it correct but its something like that . Smiley .

I wonder if it will be a special faucet for launch, like 20,000s/minute (or more Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue) or something else; I am hoping for something else, something fun that will reward those who deposit and bet real money

One way or another, any minute now =>

Doesn't look like a proper triangle to me. And once it's to the end it is very unreliable. Any "breakout" could just be continued sideways at this point.

A breakout could continued sideways but is it more likely?

597$ steady on Bitstamp; if we get to 620$ tonight we may see a lot of shorts buying back Wink
1409  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 17, 2014, 06:11:43 PM
No one talk about the rate? Smiley
I remember Stunna said will rise the rate in this term.

Why so greedy? Rates can stay the same in my opinion since we are so many members.

Wish he would reward the people that have stuck with PD from the beginning though.

just curious.

Yeah,I am the one stuck with PD from I joined this campaign.

I think new comers should get rewarded more because those who registered a long time ago already made a lot

And If your name starts with a B I honestly think you should get paid more as well Grin

Come on, stop advocating your own interests please, you are rewarded the same because the value you bring is the same
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: $50k to Invest - Convince Me! on: June 17, 2014, 06:08:40 PM
Seem like everyone giving you advice think bitcoin still go up many folds over the foreseeable future.

Beside dotcom bubble which make a small number of early investors extremely wealthy, I can't think of any investment that will go up exponentially for late investors.

Bitcoin market cap is 7.7Billions it could reach hundreds of billions of market cap of today's dollar considering the potential

For exemple, Paypal valuation is 40Billions
1411  Economy / Gambling / Re: Listing Betting Sites Total # Of Bets on: June 17, 2014, 05:40:29 PM
Hey Can you please add RollTheCoin.com to your list?  We are ranked #39 on the site but you do no have us on this list.  We are currently at 999,095 bets!  Will be breaking the million bet mark soon!

i updated your stats on the site. i'll have to update the list i have here. seems since the threads been here for months people just come to last page to check up on stuff.

and they go to cryptobettingindex.com

How is it working in terms of site visit for cryptobettingindex?

"$3,142,236,257 WAGERED" for JD it is very impressive, it is more than 13times more than PD; maybe PD3 will get closer to JD when the cool PD3 will launch soon
1412  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-22] - Wanted : Bitcoin ATM in Paris on: June 17, 2014, 05:37:19 PM
The commission includes a 20% VAT, so 10% is in fact 8% net.

A physical desk service is not to be compared to an online market place, the service is not the same. It is more like Local Bitcoin, where fees are usually 10%, but in a secure facility and without the hassle of having to organize meetings with strangers.

But even 8% is much higher when compared to the fees charged by the other ATMs. For example, Quadriga CX charges just 3% on their Skyhook ATMs, which are installed in various Canadian cities.

The fee is 6-10% and it is a desk service not an ATM

3% no matter how much is exchanged? It seems very competitive, what exchange are they using?

1414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is This possible.. Ads to each btc address on: June 17, 2014, 05:33:36 PM
The majority of the people do not read messages I think, myself included.
By default, most bitcoin wallets do not show any messages.
If you want to advertise, btc advertising networks will reach more eyeballs  Smiley

One of the biggest businesses that offer wallets to their consumers show their users all notes attached to transactions.

Which one?

I believe he was talking about blockchain.info.

Btw, the "notes" are only in the site's database, but not in the blocks.

I have never seen them

I think it is not impossible, but not many advertisers will be interested in it because very few people will actually view the ads

Personally I don't want to view this kind of ads for sure

The ads would need to have a nice designated spot that would be constructed for the occasion

10,000satoshis/transaction is very low compared to other international transfer standards but maybe it is expensive compared to what it could be
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: June 17, 2014, 05:30:11 PM
Gold doesn't interest me in the slightest as an investment or hedge. I would like to own some just for pleasure.

It's over 30 years since its inflation-adjusted high and there's no real sight of another one coming. I'm not interested in returns over a multi-decade time frame and I don't care if the same quantity'll still buy a nice suit in 3027.

In many ways it's a victim of its own ubiquity as an alternative to regular currencies. It's the most visible, thus the most suppressed and manipulated.

BTC is a far attractive prospect to me. It fits the times, fulfills a need and it's still well under the radar. I'll take my risks on that.

Bitcoin has far greater potential but Gold is less risky and you can get a huge return on Gold if you enter before a spike so if you enter before the market overcomes the manipulation by governments/big banks to lower the price to make believe there is a recovery when it is a fake recovery bought at an alarming price

Would someone be interested in backing a player well in profit over a few months of play and a player who has been playing for well over 10years?
1419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freeze out calculations on: June 17, 2014, 05:22:49 PM
You have better odds doing a single bet than playing the martingale ie if you want to get 50% from your bankroll you have better odds of achieving it if you go maxbet/1.5payout than playing a martingale

You're saying that you have a higher chance to turn 10 into 15 if you bet it all on a single bet than if split the 10 into smaller pieces and bet them at a higher multiplier, smallest first, until you win one, and then quit?

Because that seems obviously incorrect to me.  Betting all your coins you expect to lose more than betting just some of them.

An easier example:

Suppose you have 7 coins and want to have 8.

You could bet all 7 on a 1.125x bet.

Or you could bet 1 at 2x, then 2 at 2x, then 4 at 2x, stopping if you win at any point.

Is the single 7 or the 1,2,4 martingale better?  What are the odds of success of each one?  What's your expected return for each?

Work it out.  The 1,2,4 martingale is *better* than the single 7.

You are correct :

If you want xBTC and you either get it with a martingale starting at x : x; 2x ;4x; 8x or a big bet of 15x at 1.067 you are better off playing the martingale

BUT

When you play a martingale you are usually looking for a bigger win than a single unit win, for exemple it is commun for martingales to wait to get 30% 50% or 100% before stopping

-Your expected loss for a single bet of 127 @payout 1.5 is 1.27BTC

-Your expected loss for a 1;2;4;8;16;64 martingale where you stop when you reach a 62.7profit is twice as much (I only give an order of magnitude)

I may be wrong  Grin

Nakowa said :

PS: About the bankroll I have, I started "gambling" on JD with 3000BTC (apart from another 4000 for investment), and never down more than 700.

So as of 25 Sep 2013 he won 7,423 BTC with 904,978 wagered on six accounts.

But he must have been willing to try it again at 0.5% max profit, because four days later on 29 Sep roughly 1.5 million coins was wagered (much of it his).

Nakowa has a curious sense of personal attack. He seems to think that big losses should be blamed on variance, and it was a personal attack on him to lower the max profit per bet. I think dooglus lowered the max to reduce variance, and I don't think he cared if it was Tinkerbell winning.

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has something called a cash-pack, which is 16,000 bills all wrapped in plastic and stamped. If you don't break it up it can be thought of as a single unit of currency worth $1.6 million if c-notes and weighing 35.2 pounds. Gamblers sometimes show up with them in pillow cases in brick and mortar casinos.

Interesting fact about a cash-pack Grin
Whales usually wire the money before coming to the casino or the casino is giving them a line of "credit" to bet

Nakowa thinks that having a losing session after the max bet was changed to 0.25% proves that he cannot win with such a max bet when he was only hit by variance
