2321  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat? on: April 26, 2019, 12:50:23 PM
In my opinion it is not possible because they have stable currency from a long period of time so they cannot take the chance again to create something and make a replacement for the previous thing because it will always like the difficult thing to do again so I think it's not possible.

Why wouldn't be possible for governments to make their own cryptocurrencies? The idea is not to replace national currencies and that will not happen but governments can create this as an alternative currency that might or might not be included in financial system in some other way. I think that people generaly have the wrong idea that cryptocurrencies should replace fiat
2322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: April 26, 2019, 09:50:20 AM
The thread was created last year, when this thread was created last year the price of bitcoin was above $12000. The price has been found falling from the peak price. Upon this the thread might have been created stating that the price will fall as low as $1000. To the prediction price hasn't reached low, but it has fallen suddenly reaching the present value. Hope this will recover as the earliest.

It's an old thread but still could be actual now too. Although we currently have some slight price rise that doesn't mean this will continue and that price will continue to grow. In.fact I kind of expect some minor price corrections but I don't think that it will fall down all the way to 1000$. Market is not showing the issues that could lead to such fall.
2323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits A Golden Cross on: April 26, 2019, 06:18:51 AM
I don't know why is there so much excitement about the price. Yes, we can see some positive trends but we are still far from bull run and also don't forget that price can change very quickly. I'm not convinced that this is actually true recovery of the market so sone corrections could be expected soon.
2324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Back to day trading with bitcoin on: April 25, 2019, 07:11:48 PM
Day-trading is one of the lucrative avenues in crypto yet it comes with its own expertise. It requires knowledge in crypto and the ability of the trader to make quality market analysis in order to come up with good choices thus when to buy and when to sell. Anyway, I prefer to hold Bitcoin for long term while I do day-trading with altcoins.

It really isn't about having an expertise when you do day trading. You just have to follow the basic principles of trading because in the end as long as you have experienced it you will still understand that you can't always gain your profit for the reason of you can't control the market. (Prediction will always be a prediction)

Just set your own rules on where to get in and where to get out.

People often see day trading as a best source of profit. But they also forget that day trading is very demanding and not for everyone. First of all you need a lot of time to spend on the market. I wouldn't agree that expertise and knowledge isn't necessary. If you don't have that it would be very hard to make decisions that will give you profit.
2325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market is back? on: April 25, 2019, 03:50:39 PM
Don't be surprised if we start testing that old bitcoin bottom at around 3k, we are not out of the woods yet.

If there is one thing that crypto has taught me is that nothing is ever a sure bet.
You always needs alternatives just in case you see that coming, with precautions and good sets of strategy, this anticipated bull can do a side ways, make it sure to be ready, plan ahead of time and secure your assets, experienced let us analyze what possibility can do happen after this rise up.

I think that everry experienced user has learned so far that everything is possible when it comes to Bitcoin. Market looks good now, still the price rise isn't very big, and there is no guarantee that this trend will continue. And I still wouldn't call this a bull market. So I fully agree that you always have to have alternative and some back up plan and way out if necessary.
2326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: April 25, 2019, 12:16:48 PM
Pwrsonally I don't see any other coins that are worth daily trading besides Bitcoin. Also, day trading is very demanding, it requests a lot of experiences and knowledge and your full attention to the market so it would be very hard to follow this for multiple coins. But maybe there are some successful traders who could manage that also.
2327  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: April 25, 2019, 08:12:21 AM
It looks like 6000$ is very close but still the price is fluctuating a bit back and forth. I  have the feeling that some users start to sell as soon as they see the price is on the rise, not having enough patience to wait longer. This might influence the price movements too. Anyway, to my opinion the price will stay in current range for a while and will not touch 6000$.
2328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: April 25, 2019, 06:07:32 AM
But what is your goal? To hedge against this dirty, rotten financial system, and HODL what will become the gold standard of all the store of value assets? OR trade and make fiat?

I believe trading is risking HODLING LESS when, HyperBitcoinization.

the goal should not be this or that if you want to be successful in my opinion. fiat isn't going anywhere and neither is bitcoin. if you ask me a good strategy is when you accumulate bitcoin while increasing your fiat (profit) at the same time. and that is possible with trading although it is time consuming.

But would you consider the average member of Bitcointalk a "profitable trader"? I believe that the average member would be taking more risk of HODLING LESS if indeed we're on the road to 6 digits.

if you hold less you are not taking more risks, you are missing opportunities and it is a different thing. not to mention that the more you invest the higher risk you will be taking no matter what the price is going to be in the future. bitcoin is still new and very volatile and there are still tons of ways that people can lose their bitcoins from losing the private keys to faulty wallets.

You know how they say, no.risk no profit. I agree that by holding Bitcoin in long term you play safe but by not being active on the market you lose a lot of good opportunities for better profit. Still everyone has the different risk appetite and how much could afford to lose so everyone should decide for himself.
Anyway, I agree that every change of price should be used for creating more opportunities for future profit.
2329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs doubled every year since 2014 on: April 24, 2019, 11:21:19 PM
Unlike some other people here I have to say that I haven't noticed increased number of Bitcoin ATMs, at least not in my country. Just the opposite, new ones are not appearing for a while. I guess they were not so popular and many people found some other ways to buy or sell Bitcoin.
But on the general level it might happen that their number increases, in some countries they are probably popular. Also, I think they are kind of good advertising for Bitcoin, a kind of way to improve the visibility of Bitcoin in our every day lives.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: April 24, 2019, 07:58:26 PM
I think we are talking about two different things here.
Bitcoin can't be banned as a technology because you can't prevent people for using it, it's available for everyone. But the other thing is that governments could put the use of Bitcoin out of the law so that it becomes illegal. So, basicly you could always use Bitcoin because all technologies, sofwares and devices are available to you but you will be doing it on illegal way if some governments adopts the law against Bitcoin.
To my opinion there is no fear of banning Bitcoin because most governments, at least in developed countries, are aware that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies can't be marginalized anymore.
2331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to minimise the trading fee? on: April 24, 2019, 06:00:30 PM
Seriously, does regulated exchanger really means better safety? Of course no, if exchanger is hacked, that's it, non regulation will help you and as far as I know they don't make any reserves, just share profits. Bittrex was hacked but users haven't received money, lately some bitcoins were returned totally.
If you trade with small amount, I think you won't see a fee which will hugely affect your profit, deal is to move on exchanger that has low fee and trade your best.

Regulation in sense of obligations of exchanges towards users would help. Similar like banks have the obligation to refund the loss of users in case their system is compromised in any way. So I would support more strict rules for exchanges as well as their obligations for better safety and security of their services and we are all aware that not all exchanges care equaly for that. Of course there is also protection of user's data.
On the other hand I think that fees of all exchanges are more or less in the same range so fees don't affect profit of traders that much.
2332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $10k Before June, Possible? on: April 24, 2019, 10:12:32 AM
The price is on the rise currently, the volume is good so it looks like everything is in favour of the possibility of 10000$. Still to catch that value by June could be quite a bog leap and to my opinion not very likely to achieve. So, having in mind Bitcoin characteristics, yes, it's possible but not very likely.
2333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How blockchain is changing social media and the internet on: April 24, 2019, 06:32:01 AM
I think we are seeing a shift in the way people are thinking about how they use social media. More people are upset about ads and the fact that data is being used against them. There are some promising projects in the pipeline that I hope replace our current social media apps such as Contentos and Elixxir messaging app
Over-optimistic! Do you actually believe that blockchain developed apps can replace insanely popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp etc? You have got to be kidding with me.

You are expecting a miracle here bud. There is huge potential for blockchain based apps, but they will sit alongside the traditional apps and not completely replace them.

I don't think either that such apps will replace any of social media. Despite the fact that people have changed their attitude towards social media, especially in aspect of use of their personal data , not much is going to change. Blockchain technology is something that gives endless possibilities and probably will be used in every aspect of our lives but probably will not replace classic technologies entirely.
2334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't let the holiday catch you - if you are a day trader. on: April 23, 2019, 06:17:25 PM
I don't know if there are some statistic data that support that theory or is this just appearance? If it's the true that holidays impact the price the reason might be because of smaller number of active traders and investors. Usually people are less active on those days although if you are a serious trader, especially day trader you should be present on the market 24/7'
2335  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need Seller for Face to Face exchange in Europe on: April 23, 2019, 04:12:48 PM
Guy coming to this forum, looking to buy half a million dollars worth of BTC in cash? Face to face? Will pay for your travel and all that? Oh you're going to be so in for a world of hurt. Can't see many ways you could get out of this even alive. It's probably a lot easier buying from ATMs 100 times (5k Euro limit I'm thinking off for most ATMs, he could visit all these ATMs in a spree of a week and get it done). If you are genuine though OP, as others say, go to localbitcoins. SO many face-to-face deals waiting for you, these guys ONLY to physical trades.

Would love to be a fly on the wall for such a trade.

Yeah, it's really strange whar kind of ideas people have. Whether this guy is serious or not he puts himself in ackward situation, probably also potentialy dangerous without even being aware of that. Sometimes I can't tell if people are just reckless or really don't have the clue how such business should be done.
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How huge is the job of the legislature in the improvement of Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2019, 10:50:19 AM
I think this is quite a big issue but it's different from country to country because each one has the different perspective and different approach to cryptocurrencies. Many governments have already started processes of regulation but no one can't predict how and when is this going to end. Still I beleive there will be some positive movements and at the end majority of countries will accept Bitcoin as inevitable part of our future and future of finances.
2337  Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: April 23, 2019, 09:00:19 AM
I don't have the feeling that majority of Bitcoin users come from developed countries. In fact I know many users from India, african countries etc. Maybe statistics are showing different data but don't forget they are not always correct. The number of users also depends on overal population, accessibility of Internet connection and other things.
Still developed countries have better infrastructure, people are more educated and exposed to modern technologies so this might be also the reasons for bigger number of Bitcoin users.
2338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Only 10 platforms are credible on: April 22, 2019, 08:04:08 PM
These are probably 10 most used and most credible platforms rated by experiences of users. Still new onea appear all the time and people are curious, they want to know what are the services they offer. In that they often forget due dilligence and that they need to be very cautious whom they trust their money.
To my opinion credibilty and trustworthy are the most important because no one doesn't want to lose the money and get into some troubles. Have that always in mind, even if you think that somwhere else you might save something on transactions fees or avoid KYC.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India declines Bitcoin Legalization Again on: April 22, 2019, 04:34:45 PM
I can't say I'm surprised with such decision of government of India but I'm pretty much convinced this is not peemanent. At the moment they probably don't know how to deal with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but I'm sure they are looking for some kind of solution, maybe from examples from other countries.
Anyway, to my opinion that will not stop Bitcoin users in India and nothing much will change. There is no room for panic.
2340  Economy / Economics / Re: Undervalued Bitcoin Will Be a ‘Multi-Trillion Dollar Asset Class,’ Says Analyst on: April 22, 2019, 02:09:28 PM
Well, Investors like whales and other big players that accumulate huge amount of Bitcoins during it's dip are on it's great advantage and please correct me if I'm wrong. If only I have money to buy and hoard when Bitcoin's price plummet way back a couple of weeks or months or year I think I am one of the millionaires right now unfortunately, different thing happened and now I am still hoping to get gains with my small amount of holdings.

Despite the fact that every scenario is possible when Bitcoin is involved I wouldn't count on fact to become a millionare. This is not a big chance. I beleive that Bitcoin is still the best investment on long term and that way you can count on best profit. Maybe the price is undervalued currently but still I don't expect some huge and exaggerated values.
