1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unicef now accepting donations through bitcoin and ether on: October 09, 2019, 06:31:44 PM
This is good for Bitcoin promotion. UNICEF is well known and prominet world organization so this is a big step. Probably this will attract new type of donators, probably also more young people. Hope they have regulated that well but the sad thing is that at the end they will need to exchange Bitcoin for fiat currencies in order to be able to really help children.
1702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price today returned to $ 7,800 on: October 09, 2019, 04:25:37 PM
The price today has marked its low near $7900. There are more price predictions stating that this will go low to $6000. For all users who are into plans of buying bitcoin can now begin to buy for the upcoming years profiting. By now there is some growth in the world market in comparison to the past months. This trend should have some positive impact upon the cryptocurrency network, but for some reason this time the market has crashed a little.
As of now the price of bitcoin is now 8397.03$ and I think the downtrend might not happen if the price keeps on rising. Even bitcoin is not down to 7800$ it still good to buy especially if there will be a coming bull run. I hope the price of bitcoin will not down again below 7800$ and even there is some prediction about the price of bitcoin that might down to 6000$ I hope it would not happen. Buying bitcoin is also one of my plans because of the uprising price in the next couple of years.

The price is above 8000$ again but that doesn't mean that it can't get down to 7800$ or lower. I think we entered in high fluctuations phase that might last for a while. I don't expect sharp price fall or rise but the range between 7000$ and 9000$ is possible and expected.
1703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 09, 2019, 02:31:57 PM
Let's be realistic, economy can't function based on cryptocurrencies. You need to have a bigger picture, not only the one from crypto user or crypto investor. Cryptocurrencies will not replace fiat currencies and that is the fact. But both crypto and fiat currencies can co-exist and together can make better financial platforme and potential.
1704  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: October 08, 2019, 10:28:11 PM
You yourself said that people believe in dollars because they believe that they are provided with gold, and in theory it is!
But what is Bitcoin provided with? Only by the faith of people that it has value, and because of this, people are ready to exchange their dollars for bitcoin at a high price.
In order to increase people's confidence in Bitcoin, it needs to be spent. Bitcoin should circulate and show everyone that it is significantly better than all other money.
Holding bitcoins for now and even for a long period of time won't contribute to its faster development. If we keep holding all of them, then it will lost its own value as a currency. It would be good to spend some of your bitcoins and some of them left for investments. We should not forget that bitcoin is not just for a sole investment but more of a good currency that will serve as another payment option in the future.

I.completely agree that Bitcoin is not only made to sit idle in.your wallet because it can have use in real life. It's good to be an investment but also some amount should be spent because it's good  to multiple purpose and that makes impact on better acceptance.
The key is to find a balance and I think people should have much broader view on Bitcoin than only as an investment asset.
1705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Market Update: BTC continues to drop lower, where next? on: October 08, 2019, 07:12:04 PM

If you say so. The charts are telling differently about what are being spread. BTC price could dip back to $6k, traders seem to be accumulating altcoins this time unlike what they were doing the last time that they exchange it with USDT.  Or is it just me noticing all these?

Prices had been holding for awhile. It sucks to think the people I tried convincing to invest are rolling their eyes now lol

Yes, Bitcoin might go all the way to 6000$ although some are even talking about 3000$. Still I don't think the price will drop that low. Accumulation of altcoins doesn't seem so important to me and I don't think it will have some significant influence, it's not in that ratio. I think in next week or two everything will look much more clear.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: October 08, 2019, 06:22:00 PM
Well, you can never know how Bitcoin price will develope in the future and if we might have similar situation like 2018 and 20000$ or more. Also, definition of being rich is not the same for everyone in every part of the world.
Still, despite the fact that many are disappointed because Bitcoin will not help their dream to become rich over night there are many nice opportunities to make decent profit, people just need to use them and to set some realistic goals. To become rich is not one of them.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I access my BTC and other wallets on Public Internet Cafe on: October 08, 2019, 05:00:16 PM
This example shows us one again how little people care and know about security. We definetely need more education. To access your wallets from public computer in some cafe is equaly insecure like to access your mobile or internet banking so there is possibility for someone to steal your personal or financial data and empty your wallets and accounts.
People should be much more careful. Once your coins are stolen you will not be able to get them back.
1708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: October 07, 2019, 10:00:31 PM
Some traders that experienced beginers luck think that it's possible to always trade with profit. Of course that is impossible in practice and sooner or later you will experience some loss too. That can't be avoided but you can avoid cpmplete damage if you take reasonable risk and don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
Also it's very important how you deal with loss and how fast you can recover, if you have some back up and plan how to get up on the feet again. That is much more important than loss itself.
1709  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: October 07, 2019, 07:30:31 PM
Trade war is irrelevant to crypto and won't affect both parties. It will only impose stricter regulations for goods and restrict may restrict exchanges even with currencies they have, but crypto is out of the equation.

As mentioned, bitcoin is banned already in China. Rumors suggest that they will release their own cryptocurrency. I also don't know if its exclusive to China, but assessing the current situation where China's population isn't using bitcoin, what effect would it bring even if trade war happens? I don't see any possible effects.
Trade war will really affect the cryptocurrency in terms of demand. If the trade war get those two countries screwed up big time then that is the time for people to panic and sold their stocks and other traditional investment vehicle and they will put their money into cryptocurrencies since most of the people know that cryptocurrency is a safe haven for their money.

I'm not so.sure that trade war will influence on people to buy cryptocurrencies and increase demand. Trade war influence on supply of certain goods, it might start some financial crisis too but that doesn't mean that people will automaticly turn to cryptocurrency and abandon traditional investments and fiat currencies. In fact I don't think that is going to happen at all.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is irreversible: strength and weakness on: October 07, 2019, 05:36:48 PM
To my opinion the fact that Bitcoin is irreversible is more advantage than disadvantage.
Yes, sometimes we might wish to pull back transactions because we changed our minds or because we made a mistake, or maybe our coins are stolen but that is smaller problem compared to possibilities of different manipulations and frauds if Bitcoin was reversible. I guess everyone has already accepted irreversibility and got used to that.
1711  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC bearish sentiment breaks 2018 levels & folks start calling the bottom on: October 07, 2019, 01:07:06 PM
Current situation can't be compared with 2018 and we should put sentiments, this kind or another, away from us.
I don't think any similar situation will repeat now and there is no reason at all for panic or drama and I don't think that current correction will last too long or go too deep. But it looks that some users never learn from past experiences and they always finding reasons to spread the panic..
1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt has traded only 7 BTC so far on: October 06, 2019, 06:22:04 PM
Today's Bakkt volume is around 7X times what it was when this thread was posted. You can obviously notice that the investors interest/participation is gradually increasing. Of course that 46 BTC is only around $400,000 which is nothing compared to the Bitmex 1.5 billion USD daily volume. But it's good to see it increasing. Maybe institutional are still a little bit afraid or maybe waiting for something  Roll Eyes

Anyway I'm very bullish on it even if daddy Bakkt hasn't shown his powers yet.

thats a good sign of whats to come.
maybe give bakkt 1 year to really see the impact it has on the market, crypto market is in such a rush all the time, everything has to happen so fast or its a failure.

I don't know, it still seems like a failure. Even if the interest will increase over time, it is not increasing remotely good enough to become a big thing. And I guess we can blame Bakkt for what's happened with Bitcoin's price. Maybe it's a good thing that Bakkt is failing, though. I really don't see how futures contracts can be good for Bitcoin. They are the very opposite of the free market. Futures mean that people agree about the buy/sell prices on a certain day in the future regardless of what the prices will actually be like. If people perceive Bitcoin through futures, they miss one of the most important things about Bitcoin.

I also have the feeling that Bakkt is failure. Although it's still at the begininig the progress is not looking promising and the final effect will not be as many expected. And so far it certainly didn't push the Bitcoin price that was also part of expectations. But let's give Bakkt some more time before final conclusion.
1713  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crucial time for bitcoin! on: October 06, 2019, 04:14:05 PM
Now that bitcoin continues to struggle again, this is another crucial time, but I like to emphasize that bitcoin when struggling, it always recover in the end.
This isn't new anymore, people can can it scam when it's dumping but the fact that it has risen many times from death, this would tell how strong bitcoin is and the smart ones does not usually follow the action like the newbies did, the pump and dump is normal but smart people have different interpretations so they also make different actions compared to the newbie.

Buy when dump and sell when it pump, that's the smart ones are doing, and they don't panic.

But that is not rocket science to sell high and buy low. This is the basic that everybody should know before getting involved in Bitcoin trading. But lack of basic knowledge I see as one of the key problems with some Bitcoin users and consequences are often panic and bad decisions that lead to loss.
1714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: October 06, 2019, 12:01:11 PM
I can agree that trading according to the news especialy in the social media could be a big mistake. There often appear many false and misleading information that could lead you to the wrong decision. It's always better to watch the behaviour of the market and to use some technical analysis but again only as a info and guidlance, not exact tool that will exactly tell what to do.
1715  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe is against Libra. Who else? on: October 06, 2019, 09:37:57 AM
I don't think that anyone is really against Libra in its essence but there are so many open questions that Euopean Union wants to clarify and that is completely legit.
And that isn't connected with Libra only but Facebook as a company and some of their actions. Of course there is some politics in it also so having in mind China- US relations is pretty much obvious that China will not support it.
Anyway, as I supposed it will be not easy for Libra at all, things are not going smooth as they expected and this is the story that will not have happy end.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 ways to help you not be emotionally dominated when trading cryptocurrencies on: October 06, 2019, 06:54:58 AM
Everything you said it's correct but this will not help everyone not to get too much emotional.
I think this is the phase that every trader goes through and the best way to control your emotions is experience. And to get experience it takes some time and in that period it's inevitable that you will make some mistakes driven by your emotions.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think Bitcoins biggest vulnerability is? on: October 05, 2019, 08:36:36 PM
What do you think Bitcoins biggest vulnerability is?

Government would be bitcoins biggest enemy. Regulation prevents people from getting involved in crypto, thus preventing cryptocurrency's growth and adoptation. Some countries are skeptical and strict when it comes to their people getting involved to it due to scam and issue that crypto is used in illegal activities.

Government and regulators will always remain as enemies to bitcoin or any other crypto currency due to the fact that they cannot control it and it's decentralized but off-late we have come across situations like kidnappers, hackers demanding payment through bitcoins and claims that bitcoin is used as funding for terror activities and security services cannot track their activities is turning out to be a worst nightmare. But there are crypto friendly countries like Malta, Estonia as well who have seen the bright side of crypto world.

Governments and regulation are not enemies of Bitcoin, stop thinking like a child. Positive regulations and legal framework are the only way for Bitcoin to get further developed, adopted and incorporated into financial and economic system. And that doesn't mean the end of decentralization.
For me the biggest vulnerability of Bitcoin are its users that often with reckless and unmature behaviour make damage in the market.
1718  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys ok if BTC ends in the 10k USD range at the end of 2019? on: October 05, 2019, 05:39:08 PM
I don't have big expectations about Bitcoin price rise and I don't have illusion that we might experience some bigger pump before the end of the year
I'm quite fine with 10000$ price because I think that is realistic reflection of current situation in the market. Also.I'm not buying Bitcoins but earning it so I'm not so stessed with price fluctuations.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think majority of the people heard or read Bitcoin one time or another on: October 05, 2019, 03:15:03 PM
I'm not sure about it. I think that still many people haven't heard of Bitcoin and some of those who have don't actually know anything about it. Promotion of Bitcoin isn't so good and there is not enough education either.
I know that many bitcoiners think Bitcoin is something that is normal for everyone but outside Bitcoin community people really don't know much about it, that is the fact.
1720  Economy / Economics / Re: IS 5G AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CRYPTO TO GO MAIN STREAM? on: October 05, 2019, 12:15:31 PM
I don't think that the question of Bitcoin going mainstream is based on any technology or techical solution. It's the question of legal matter and regulation, technology is.just one tinny part.
5G together with other technologies can bring and probably will bring kind of revolution, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, internet of things and similar but it will not help Bitcoin to become mainstream currency.
