No one answered? I may try in a few days even if the site is new

You should write the website address in the first message

No one yet, surprisingly.
Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome, I will come back here in a few days; your site looks good but it is very new so there is a risk involved in depositing but a 100% bonus is pretty nice as well

You could actually talk to Satoshi; is he still active in the community but doesn't want to say he is satoshi not to influence it too much, did he disappear? Or was he a group of persons? I bet for the first choice.
As with any member you have the choice of being shown "Offline" i'm sure he is lurking on the forums and reading....Maybe he has another username now?

It would make more sense to have a new username, the admins or at least some of them would see if he logs in and lurk
2344  Economy / Auctions / Re: Whitelisted Primedice account on: May 01, 2014, 12:25:37 AM
A side note, the account password can't be changed. Cheesy

Actually it can, ive sold a couple accounts the other day and all they did was email support and they got it changed.

How much did you sell them for just out of interest? I'm sure that is frowned upon Tongue It would take quite some time and a lot effort to get a decent return even on the starting price you offer.

For any prospective buyer it is worth bearing in mind that while the whitelist faucet payout (at the time of writing) is 2k satoshis, the new PrimeDice website will have a different faucet policy. Also today Stunna started experimenting with a happy hour in which all users receive 10k satoshis for a successful CAPTCHA entry.

It was a week ago but i bought 2 of them for .01 each and sold them for .045 and .025

Hehe very nice. Not a bad bit of coin for a little work. I'm sure that you will find another taker soon.

I can't imagine someone paying 0.045 for a whitelisted account if the only upside is to get 2K/min instead of 1K
If he has a bot that do the faucet it would be a great investment but how will the bot resolve the captcha?

The faucet policy will change soon so whitelisted accounts may not even get twice more in the faucets

Now what was the point in saying that?

I don't want to ruin your sell with my remarks but having your thread bumped and a discussion is probably helping you; if someone throw 0.02 to buy a whitelisted account he probably has more informations than me anyway

You can speculate that whitelisted accounts will still get more in the faucets on PD3 and they may even get more than previously

Maybe you can tell me the upsides of having a whitelisted PD account and if I can still get one for free now

Will be at random times, I've made it so I can switch faucet amount and multipliers really quickly on the fly.

Sounds like a good plan. Is this something that is likely to carry through to PD3, or is it purely experimental at the moment to see how things go?

I managed to get up to 900k satoshis last night from a 1k start. 10k happy hour might see a few extra folk cashing out dust, but I think realistically many players such as myself enjoy playing to see how far it can be taken - even if that means losing it all and not earning a satoshi Smiley

Wow pretty impressive, there are other faucet stories here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=323500.0 It is from 2013

Can't wait to try the 10k faucets, how long does that last? An hour?

Yeah that's the idea, around an hour. As you can imagine, it might be worth trying quite a few 10x or so bets initially as you wouldn't want to waste time on more likely rolls while the happy hour is active.

I would get pretty excited if I catch the happy hour; I wish someone could call me when it starts Tongue but it must be even better to catch it randomly

2348  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we the "Berkshire Hathaway" stock holders of the future? on: May 01, 2014, 12:09:43 AM
amazing chart yes. but that took 30 years, people here get afraid when bitcoin lost 20 USD in one week  Tongue

i think its an good investement but a risky one. either we lose 99% or the price will rise alot.

I can see other scenarios than Bitcoin becoming massive or disapearing

Owning berkshire means owning a slice of a huge conglomerate of profitable, growing businesses.  Owning bitcoin means owning an electronic numerical value that's guaranteed by the network.

Berkshire is a productive asset, bitcoin is effectively an e-commodity.  There is virtually no intrinsic value in bitcoin (it doesn't generate massive amounts of value for society).  Owning berkshire for long periods of time is investing (long-term profit and value growth), while owning bitcoin for long periods of time is speculating (believing the next sucker will buy a non-productive asset at a higher price than you).

Bitcoin has massive intrinsic value. Eg replaces 1/2 of the world banking infrastructure for one.

Bitcoin obv has intrinsic value

I think OP made a very interesting parallel because people get anxious after a 2months decline or a 3months stability when long term means a longer time than Bitcoin's age and Bitcoin's future looks very bright

1991-1998 1000%, B.A doesn't pay any dividends, he choses his companies very well and paid a small price while leaving the good managers in place with a lot of freedom but removing the bad ones; look at his portfolio http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/12/02/why-warren-buffetts-berkshire-hathaway-wont-pay-a.aspx

You could make a few simulations with the calculators available and get an idea of what to expect by looking about the different answers; keep it on all the time and sell it at the right time and you may make a profit; you will make quite a few btc that you should hold Smiley

2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Ron Paul Doesn’t Believe Bitcoin is “True Money” on: April 30, 2014, 11:45:41 PM
I think he is right is some sense. Bitcoin has some similarities with the FIAT, considering it as the cash FIAT or the FIAT used in banks and international transfer, but is not exactly equal and equivalent. BTC also resembles gold and silver, but at the same time many differences.

For me BTC is something entirely new, so not really a True Money, in some sense

Bitcoin is a protocol, a great one that solves a lot of troubles and do a lot of things way better than its competitors; fiat currencies are inflated to death, Bitcoin won't

Thanks to the Bitcointalk community for letting this happen!

Very impressive, congratulations; how many of you is there? I can only speculate from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist

2354  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Free BTC Game, Win 0.001 BTC Daily. on: April 30, 2014, 11:42:09 PM
Hi iam doing a small btc game, i will pick 2 numbers everyday to win 0.001 btc each. To play, post a number between 1 to 100.
You can only play once a day

Pretty nice give away; I will try 08

Do you randomly pick the numbers or do you find them yourself? Some psychology can play if you chose them yourself
2355  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 40.000USD Worth in BTC ~ Using Wells Fargo. on: April 30, 2014, 11:35:36 PM
I guess you want your btc fast and you don't or can't get an account in bitstamp or btc-e but if you can it seems like the cheapest/easiest/safest way to go

40k$ will buy you 88BTC, the perfect amount to get wealthy after the next spike up in price

People that had thousands got wealthy, now it is the turn to people that have 100+; you will be pretty close with 88 if you don't have already some
2357  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 within 3 years? on: April 30, 2014, 11:25:43 PM
31.12.2014 more than     $350/BTC
31.12.2015 more than  $1,925/BTC
31.12.2016 more than $10,587/BTC

These are pretty specific numbers.   Did you draw them off of any calculations, or did you just throw out a number?

- There is 99,999% probability than bitcoin will rise 550% per/year (next few years) ... based on the past,  bitcoin price was $60 in 2013, $12 in 2012  and $2 in 2011 ... )
- BUY & HOLD as much as you can afford to lose (just in case 0,001% bitcoin can fail), and you will be very rich man :-)  (ods are 100,000 : 1 )

Past performance does not guarantee future results but I think the price will soar again because the technology is great, we need Bitcoin and most fiat currencies will fail once again
2358  Other / Politics & Society / Re: you get Richer as the Older You’ll Get on: April 30, 2014, 11:23:26 PM
The older someone is the bigger chances are his parents died so the bigger chances are he inherited

If you build a career, odds are you will get more income as you get older; if you invest wisely you will get wealthier as you get older as well

Bah, happy hour came and went and took my whitelist status along with it. The only consolation is that I know that PD3 is coming soon so that will bring a fresh approach to the faucet.

10k happy hour is a great idea though, bad timing for work days for me personally but no complaints! Smiley

Whitelist should work currently. Hope everyone enjoyed  Smiley, will do more things like this soon. There is a 0.002/0.005 giveaway available on games and rounds section currently: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583663.0

Oh it's fixed for me now. Prior to happy hour my whitelisting got me 1k satoshis, then after happy hour I got 500, now I tried again I got 1.2k satoshis.

Yeah it's a great idea. Same time tomorrow? Smiley

Or maybe make a regular thing, like weekly or bi-weekly? Cheesy

I'm happy to do this once every couple of days as long as people don't abuse it (Through use of bots etc.)

I too participated in the faucet & chat on an anonymous account and it was a lot of fun. Great atmosphere in chat!

The exclusivity of it definitely makes it much more special, especially for those who aren't on the whitelist. For them its like winning a 20x roll after getting their satoshis from the faucet.

Looking forward to the next happy hour. Are you going to put them up at different times, such that people in different time zones can get to play too?

Will be at random times, I've made it so I can switch faucet amount and multipliers really quickly on the fly.

Sounds like a good plan. Is this something that is likely to carry through to PD3, or is it purely experimental at the moment to see how things go?

Does it matter if we don't have the answers but we question everything u say?

There are no answers to some questions, right?

Does a question always need an answer?

Depends on your frame of mind, right?

You are on fire with all your questions; I posted 2 times and I think I will quit this thread; now I have to finish with a question : isn't it hard to end up with a question when you can't think of a question? Grin
