Poloniex holds more then 50% XMR, mostley because there is no GUI, if they go mtgox XMR is doomed

Probably more like all alts at this point.

There's no way that 50% of XMR is on Poloniex. There's 389k on the order book out of a total of 16.3M. Let's say that 5% of the XMR held by Poloniex is on the sell side, to be conservative, that would be ~6M, still less than 50% of total supply, and I think that's being way too conservative...probably they hold a couple million at most.

Great analysis. Where did you go to decide 16.3M is a useful number?

Because I'm a dumbass, and was perhaps slightly intoxicated, and looked at marketcap in USD instead of available supply here:
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Even replacing 16.3M with 11.5M, I still kinda doubt that Poloniex has 6M  sloshing around there.

Does anyone know: Is there any difference in mining performance from AMD cards on Windows 7 vs Windows 8?

I'm building a mining rig and plan to use a 128gb USB 3.0 flash drive to install Windows on.  However, apparently Windows 7 doesn't natively support USB 3.0 (while Windows 8 does), and I'd rather be able to use that extra speed.  Any advice?

Run Debian?

Is Monero never going to be added? Just clicked through, would be awesome to bet on sports with Monero...might bet with BTC, but would rather use XMR.
2347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New myriadcoin [MYR] bot with tipping, dice, blackjack, and event betting on: March 30, 2016, 01:35:13 PM
Come check out the new myriadcoin bot, myrbot, on freenode IRC channel ##myriadcoin, or on reddit at:
https://www.reddit.com/r/myrbot/wiki/index

Big thanks to moneromooo, who originally coded this bot for Monero, and helped me get it up and running for MYR.

So now even Moneromooo is creating gambling shit? who works in coding to improve the coin if Main developer FluffyPony creates MoneroDice, othe another developer taking the highest profits on the site of 21800 Monero's and now moneromoo?? I won't consider Smooth since he's a low dog who is trying to be like them but with Aeon lol.

This is pure shit, Monero NEEDS true crypto programmers not website designers.

It's an old bot, I think tippero has been running for a year and a half or so.

Come check out the new myriadcoin bot, myrbot, on freenode IRC channel ##myriadcoin, or on reddit at:
https://www.reddit.com/r/myrbot/wiki/index

There is a "testing" thread here on reddit, where I'll be glad to send a few MYR your way if you leave a comment:
https://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin/comments/4b54bh/new_reddit_and_irc_bot_and_hopefully_soon_twitter/

Some cool features of the bot include linking your IRC and reddit accounts (and soon twitter), as well as betting on upcoming events. The betting book at the moment looks like:
Quote
<myrbot> Book #3 (Bitcoin_hardfork_before_2017-01-01): Yes_hardfork_happens (500 Myriadcoin), No_hardfork_happens
<myrbot> Book #4 (Bitcoin_hardfork_before_halvening): Yes_hardfork_happens, No_hardfork_happens (500 Myriadcoin)
<myrbot> Book #5 (Myriad_over_30sat_on_April_1st): yes (1,200 Myriadcoin), no (500 Myriadcoin)

If you want any particular events added to bet on, just ping me here or IRC or reddit.

Big thanks to moneromooo, who originally coded this bot for Monero, and helped me get it up and running for MYR.

Just a quick few questions to the developers and wallet developers like Wiggi and MithrilMan:

Is everything you use for displaying the game board and looking at what move(s) other players are about to make taken from the "game_getstate" call? Or do you also have to look at the mempool and decode pending txs?

Also, how can you tell which tiles are impassible?

hi mate.

yes everything is in game_getstate
except moves which are not in the chain which come from name_pending
the obstacle layer is in one of source files map.cpp or something similar.
will look tomorrow.

Coolyo, thanks. I'm thinking about trying to do a roguelike/ascii representation of the map...go in the opposite direction of wiggi Smiley

I've had a pretty bad 2 weeks. I made the terrible decision to sell XMR and RADS just before they went up so I could buy ETH just before it went down. Then I bought back into XMR right before it dropped again. Now someone thinks they're a market manipulating wizard and is putting up sell walls.

If XMR drops much more you might not be hearing from me again, lol.

Not trying to rain on your never-ending shit parade, but I wouldn't be surprised if XMR was back under 0.003 by the end of the week and around 0.002 not long after. 400% increases in price are usually followed by some consolidation phase, if not full a retrace.

What are you doing with your 440,000 aeon stash? Why are you not market making or pushing the market around in that smaller paddling pool?

I could do that.  It would be easy.  I could take that sum and bully down the bids mercilessly and put up bully walls to incite panic, and then buy back cheaper.  I estimate if I did it skillfully I could probably turn those 400k Aeon into 500k.
...
Besides, I noticed upon looking at risto's 'bitcoin rich list' (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321265.0) that no known holder of Bitcoin ever held more than 400k-ish of Bitcoin (aside from Satoshi himself).  Some of these people were legendary computer scientists and I feel that it would be foolish for me to ignore their historical precedent.  For some reason, of an asset with approximately 18 to 21 million total tokens, no single entity no matter how rich has ever publicly controlled greater than 400k.
...

Not to be pedantic, but you don't "hold" or "control" anything if you leave your entire stash sitting on an exchange.
