Perhaps if you're so unhappy with CP you should use another service? Please feel free to share when you find one that is flawless and superior to CoinPot, I'd love to try it.

That's not the point. This is the CoinPot topic, that's why I'm talking about CoinPot and not another faucet. Stay on topic instead of trying to deflect anytime someone brings up problems with the website and accusing everyone of cheating when it's not even relevant to the issue I was having.
2342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 05, 2020, 12:23:03 AM
The recent price surge looks more like market manipulation to me rather than it being due to recent news about the IRS and BitMEX. There is very little trading volume on the big exchanges so it is much easier to pump the price on a dodgy exchange like CITEX, which is where most of the volume is coming from.

Lottery tickets take a while to be credited to my account after earning them in the multiplier game. Can this site do anything right?

Apart from providing an exceptionally convenient way to earn free Bitcoin and other crypto, offering a very respectable interest rate on deposits and paying out reliably for three years... no, I guess it can't.  Wink

Cue accusations of being a shill/plant/Coinpot admin etc.

Paying out sporadically whenever the hell they feel like sending payments out and cheaping out on fees so that you have to wait days for confirmation. So reliable.

There is no need to accuse you. It is evident what you are by the way you tout their virtues while ignoring all the issues plaguing Coinpot.

Boxing is so blatantly corrupt, it is no wonder the sport continues to decline in popularity in America.

So there is a second lottery at coinpot since 2 weeks i found: the conversion rates.
I converted 1 token a few times to dash within one minute and got those rates:

Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.00000114 dash
Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.00000115 dash
Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.00000129 dash
Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.00000108 dash
Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.0000013 dash
Conversion from 1 tokens to 0.00000129 dash

variance is nearly 20%

A funny new game at coinpot?

Dont worry, you WILL get a good answer soon, because there is an "unnoficial admin" that offered to answer (unnoficially too?) all the support questions here. (all?).
Just dont hold your breath meanwhile.

The unofficial support admin is just as bad as the official one. He disappeared and won't even come around to accuse anyone who encounters a technical problem of cheating.

Isn't this a good thing? They are giving you market rate every time. Would you rather the price be fixed for one minute? You're doing 1 token conversion for the challenge bonus? If you are, then you'll have to live with the real time exchange rates. I don't see a problem with this... DASH isn't BTC and the exchanges can be volatile. You'll get your token bonus with the challenge, so you're in a net positive. I see the live exchanges rates as a good thing.

The price of DASH isn't going to be making >10% moves in a matter of a few seconds. I've tried the same thing with Bitcoin and you also get these huge differences in the exchange rate. This isn't about the price being volatile, it's about Coinpot wanting to take a bigger cut from conversions. They're within their right to do this but it is just greedy.

2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 26, 2020, 07:52:24 PM
I won't believe this fight is actually happening until I hear it directly from the mouth of Pacquaio. There are too many people claiming to speak for him and his team often makes conflicting statements. I think Sean Gibbons out of loyalty to Al Haymon would like Pacquiao to continue with PBC but other members want to go where the most money can be made and right now that is with a Middle East fight against McGregor.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: September 26, 2020, 04:59:49 AM
There is serious discussion happening to try and make a Pacquiao vs. McGregor fight. McGregor is coming off a win in a tune up fight in January. His last win in a championship fight was in 2016. His record in MMA is 22-4, in boxing he is 0-1. Manny Pacquiao has a record of 62-7-2 and is coming off a win against Keith Thurman for the WBA Welterweight Title in July of 2019.

Manny Pacquiao opens as the heavy betting favorite.

However I still have a problem. My litecoin address starts with an ‘l’ (lower case L) so how do I convert it into an M address. I thought litecoin addresses use to have a capital L not lowercase. It starts with ‘ltc’

That's a bech32 address. CoinPot doesn't support this format and it can't be converted to a legacy format address either.

Hello, what do you mean with this, on the "Free BTC" tab of your website?

Quote
Play MULTIPLY BTC, BET ON EVENTS or buy lottery tickets to increase your FREE BTC rewards by up to +0.00000342 BTC

45.2783% achieved towards the next +0.00000018 BTC bonus!

The first time I read it I thought you can get a permanent bonus to (potential) roll rewards, but now I am not so sure.

The description is a bit vague.

It is not permanent, the percentage will go down every time you make a faucet claim. The only way to maintain this bonus is to gamble a lot.
2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT wallet on: September 17, 2020, 03:54:13 PM
USDT is an erc20-Token, so it is integrated in the Ethereum Network. That means you can use any Wallet which support ETH. The most common are MEW (https://www.myetherwallet.com/ ) and MetaMask (https://metamask.io/). MetaMask is a plugin for chrome and chrome-based browser + available as an app for android and iOS.
Tether is now built on three blockchains.

1. Omini later which is built on bitcoin blockchain
2. ERC20 which is built on ethereum blockchain
3. And the last one for now is built on tron blockchain which is called TRC20 token.

Hardware wallet that support bitcoin, ethereum and tron can be used to store tether because they are support the three blockchain. Wallets like coinomi also support this, but it is an online wallet. If the amount of tether the person want to hold is much, I will suggest using hardware wallet like trezor one or ledger nano s or x.

He can then decide which one to use, be it omini layer for bitcoin, ERC20 for ethereum platform or the TRC20. But, in my opinion, using the omini layer is best but nothing bad using the other two.

There is also Tether on Liquid, Bcash, Algorand, OMG, EOS, and something called Solana.
2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Fees to high on: September 16, 2020, 03:25:51 AM
If you're using a wallet that lets you set your own fee you can set it to 1 satoshi per byte and it should confirm in a few hours. You should also consolidate into a wallet that supports segwit so your fees will be cheaper in the future.

2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your take on refunding 800 BNB that are effectively burned? on: September 14, 2020, 07:59:37 PM
I mean, I guess its a noble to give this guy a refund, but at the end of the day, it comes down to the question if this is really a principled thing to do. They will "refund" this guy, but what will happen to the next one that makes the same mistake? I am pretty sure this is not the first time this thing happened with BNB, so what about refunding mistakes from the past? They opened a Pandora box with this decision.

A few days ago, there was a similar situation when a user transferred 1 million USDT tokens to the wrong address. And these USDT were returned to the user by Tether. https://www.somagnews.com/defi-user-who-lost-1-million-usdt-got-his-money-back/ And this practice will be solved in the future in a similar way. We must accept the reality that cryptocurrency is centralized, with the exception of BTC.

Decentralized finance isn't so decentralized when there are central authorities that can undo mistakes.
